Delicious food and very friendly staff.

We had lunch late on a Tuesday morning, and what struck us most was the incredibly sweet waitress... mulled wine and food were delicious and well-priced.

Incredibly poor service. For a group of 20+ people, we had one waiter who checked on us every half hour. We had to wait 25-30 minutes for each round of drinks. Something was added to our receipt that we hadn't ordered. The staff was rude and not friendly at all. They didn't speak Dutch either. Once and never again!!!

The food and service were excellent. Everything was piping hot and absolutely delicious. The wine recommendation was perfect. Even without any prior knowledge, and with just a layman's description, I was given a wine that was exactly what I wanted. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I would definitely come back.

We were there on a weekday evening. There weren't many people, so the service was fast and high-quality. Beer cost about €8, a cocktail about €9, the cocktail was quite strong and tasty. That's a plus 😀 We ate pizza from the hot pizza, it cost about €35 for two people. The pizza was delicious, I have no complaints. Would I go a second time, yes.

Unfortunately, the waitress tipped a bottle of beer over me as she walked by. My sweater, pants, and purse were wet. It can happen, OK. I did get an apology, yes. Unfortunately, no compensation. I had hoped that they would at least accommodate me with my drink. The broken glass was roughly swept up with a broom, and the beer was left wet on the floor, so that everyone who walked past slipped or at least had sticky shoes. Since it wasn't that busy at the time, I find this unusual. The food was good. Although expensive, like everywhere else on the promenade.

This is a beautiful authentic Italian restaurant. Simple food but with great ingredients and cooked to perfection. I had a classic carbonara and loved it.

Waiters were friendly. Pasta was unfortunately not fresh.

We were a group of seven on a Saturday night. The salmon and lasagna were fine, but the pizzas were disappointing: tough crusts and dull knives. The pianist played well, but by the end of the evening his orchestral music was so loud that we could barely hear each other. The service was friendly.

The dish I ate was well-made. The waiter was kind and honest in recommending what to order. It may not be a 100% Italian restaurant, but you have to make do. The prices were good for Holland and the location.

If you want to eat delicious pizza or pasta, etc., at a reasonable price and served by friendly staff, then this is the place for you!

We had a wonderful time with the kids on Saturday evening. There was live music. The service was fantastic, especially the sweet man who was so kind to our children. We had a wonderful evening and a delicious meal.

La Galleria Boulevard is an authentic Italian restaurant right on the Scheveningen Boulevard, overlooking the beach and clubs. It’s owned by two Italian families who also run another restaurant and a wine bar in town, which really adds to the authentic feel. The price/quality is very good. We ordered the Tagliata di Manzo and the Lasagne — both were excellent. The meat was tender, juicy and full of flavor, while the lasagne was hot, creamy and simply delicious. A great place to enjoy proper Italian food with a beautiful view.

I went out for dinner with my girlfriend. The staff was friendly and the food was excellent. I definitely recommend eating here!

We ate here at the beginning of our vacation because we love Italian food. A gentleman helped us very kindly, the service was fast, and also very friendly. The food arrived very quickly and was so delicious. Highly recommended! So good that we went back for another round on the last day.

Friendly service, and German was easily understood. Pasta like you'd get at a good Italian restaurant back home. Good prices for a vacation spot! We had a pleasant meal there.

Great food, and amazing workers!!

The two of us chose a Gambereti Pizza and a Pesto e Pollo Pasta. My boyfriend thought the pizza was delicious, but my pasta was very poorly prepared, with no cheese, a bit cold, and too much cream. After the meal, we sat there for 40 minutes without anyone asking if we wanted anything else. A little disappointed, but okay for a quick meal.

I had the lasagna, which was delicious and nice and hot. My daughter had the shrimp pacchette, but the shrimp were chopped up, very spicy, and not warm at all, which was a shame. The service was good, as was the atmosphere and the price.

We went there for breakfast and it’s absolutely delicious! Service was great and ambience was just too good and peaceful, mostly because we went really really early in the morning! But I must say amazing vibes! When you visit De pier, do visit this place rite sure! 😊

AMAZING FOOD! Friendly staff…authentic Italian food. My favorite dish was the Lasagna. Also had a delicious Tiramisu. Coffee also was soooo good. Highly recommended.

The food was tasty, but the pizza was a bit greasy and the lasagna had too much cheese. The price and portion size were great. All the servers were nice, too.

Delicious pizza, we were there as tourists. Prices are fair. We would go back. The ambiance is a bit worn in places, and some of the chairs are worn.

In August 2025, we made another attempt to see if La Galleria on the boulevard had improved. To our great regret, the food was now of poor quality, but the service was excellent. The food: * Starter: the tomatoes on the bruschetta were so peppery that the tomato flavor was completely gone. * Main course: spaghetti carbonara. I had to send the chef's first attempt back because the plate and its contents had been sitting under a warmer in the kitchen for quite some time, waiting to be served (or it had come out of the oven or microwave). The pasta was chewy, and the carbonara had a thick sauce that I even thought had curdled. How dare you serve that? The second attempt was fresh and creamy, but the carbonara's flavor was far from what you'd expect from a La Gallaria. My wife ordered a tuna pizza. Sorry, but that pizza was also very mediocre. The tuna was limited to a few slivers in the middle. Besides, it was tuna, wasn't it? Even that's debatable to this day. * And the doppio espresso (let's just call it that to end things reasonably) was, in my opinion, just a regular cup of coffee with no resemblance to a good Italian espresso. *** FINAL VERDICT: WE HAVE DEFINITELY TAKEN La Galleria OFF OUR LIST. And if I were asked for advice on which restaurants in Scheveningen are worth visiting, this one wouldn't get any attention. 2023 - We've been going there with great pleasure for over 20 years. It was always good, tasty, cozy, and the service was also great. But unfortunately, lately we've experienced poor to very poor service. The current staff and management have never heard of or understood what hospitality entails. So, a zero for this score. This was also the case last Friday, June 16th. The food, however, remains excellent. The price is also reasonable if you don't opt for pizza or pasta. Well, what do you come for, you might say? We go for the complete experience, so I don't think we'll be going to La Galeria again anytime soon. Such a shame. Another restaurant off my list. Note: The prices on the menu don't always match the receipt.

The food was good! The atmosphere is very nice. When we went to pay, everything was fine until I tried to pay by card. The waiter slammed my card into the machine twice and, as I threw it on the table, said, "A different card?" I just had to put the card on the machine, and then it worked perfectly! The waiter was probably pissed off because he thought there was no tip, even though I had it in my hand! I gave him the five-euro note anyway!

The food (pasta) was unfortunately very poorly cooked. The sauce was a bit too heavy, and the portions were rather small. However, the service was exceptionally friendly. Prices were on the low side (for the location), but still too expensive for the food. The music was so loud that it was difficult to have a conversation. The food arrived after 10 minutes, as if they were just trying to get tourists processed quickly. We wouldn't go back.

A wonderful wine selection and fantastic food are available, along with attentive staff who, when it's busy, are always willing to have a quick chat. There's a lovely terrace and wine restaurant on the corner. The location is great. The restrooms are of poor quality.

The food was good; I recommend both the pizza and pasta. We went there twice. The first time it was less busy. The food felt even better than the second time, when the restaurant was completely full. The price/performance ratio was completely reasonable. The service was quick and friendly.

The tuna ciabatta was fresh, and the Bolognese had a nice tomato flavor, making it delicious overall. The waiter was friendly and handsome. Thanks to him, I had a pleasant meal.

An honest review from me. I'm not usually the type to write reviews unless it's exceptionally bad...😂 But this time, I just had to write it like it was, and it was excellent. The pizza, size, and taste were exceptionally good for the price. The service was also super friendly and, above all, not fake, but natural. I don't know what else to say, just go and see for yourself! You won't regret it!

The carpaccio and pizza were okay. If you just want a quick Italian meal, La Galleria is fine. However, it's a typical tourist restaurant. The service was more bad than good: unfriendly, unmotivated, and unengaged. I felt like I was being brushed off, and I didn't tip because they obviously just wanted to get out of there quickly. The prices are okay, but nothing more. It's okay for a quick stop, but if you value friendly service, you might want to go elsewhere.

The pizza was okay, but the Caesar salad was abysmally bad. I could barely get the chicken down. They just slapped a bit of iceberg lettuce with three tomatoes, two croutons, and dressing on top, and charged me €15 for it.

IT WAS SO GOOD!!! I had mozzarella sticks and a Margherita pizza, and It was just exactly how I wanted it!!! I wish I could make it 100,000 times over!!!!

JUICE SHOP! The photos of the prices aren't accurate. You have to add €2-3 to everything. The quantity is ridiculous for the price. The taste wasn't any better. Plus, the sun shines right in your face. The service was okay.

We visited this Italian restaurant and were absolutely thrilled! The pizza was incredibly delicious – you could immediately tell that the food was cooked with love and passion. Every bite was a delight! The service was also top-notch: super friendly, attentive, and warm. You just feel at home here. A clear 5 stars – we'll definitely be back!

We ordered two pizzas and a bottle of water. First, we were brought a bottle of water that was only half full. The mistake was quickly corrected. The pizza was delicious. Only on the way to the hotel did we notice that the topping for one of the pizzas had been charged three times. Those were expensive Mushrooms...

One star less just because it is hot in the restaurant, rest is great! Can suggest pizza, it is enough for 3 people!

Everything was simply amazing! The food was of an extraordinary quality, with authentic and well-balanced flavours – I haven’t eaten so well in a long time! The waiting time was very short, the fast and efficient service made everything even more enjoyable. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and always smiling. In particular, we were very pleased to meet a Romanian waiter, with whom we could speak our language – a detail that made us feel ca acasă. A perfect experience in every way. We will definitely be back!

I gave a great review last year because the service was super friendly, but this year when we went back, the service was unfortunately anything but friendly and not good either. The table where we sat was absolutely filthy. Last year, however, I had the spaghetti Bolognese with cheese. This year, I was told they didn't have any cheese they could put on it. Well, I wonder what they put on the pizza, or their other casseroles, like the lasagna, for example. Well, what we ate was pretty disappointing. Unfortunately, after a while, we weren't asked if we wanted anything else to drink or anything else. Unfortunately, the quality and friendliness have declined considerably within a year.

I recommend you visit the restaurant after watching the sunset on the beach for a romantic evening with your partner or dinner with company. ❤️

All in all ok for a quick bite if you don't want the restaurant feeling. We were served by "Donato" but this was a very impersonal and unfriendly service. He came by once. We didn't see anyone to order more drinks. Too bad. The food was quite ok. That's it.

Don't go there! At first they are still semi-friendly and the women are all "bella" (according to the older man with the ponytail anyway..). The food is also delicious, but that's it. The service is extremely bad! When we had finished eating, the plates were taken away with a "finito, bella?" and that was the last time we saw any of the staff. We wanted to order a dessert with coffee, but this was not asked anymore. We tried to make eye contact with the staff, but this was also not possible. After more than fifteen minutes we packed our things and went to the pin machine in the hope that someone would see us now. Someone came and asked: "Do you want to pay?". I answered with: "Well, we actually wanted to order something else, but no one came". There was no response to this. Eventually someone else (the old man who constantly called us bella) paid us, without using words. He did not say anything, did not ask anything, did not say goodbye. How incredibly bad! And they can't say it was busy, because the restaurant was almost empty..

The value for money is great. We had the Pizza Galleria and pasta in salmon cream sauce. The dishes were truly delicious. Unfortunately, the service was a bit lackluster. Empty glasses were cleared away, but we were never actively asked to reorder. You had to practically pester the waiters to get new drinks or the menu. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant experience. Great live music, and the location is good.

Food was fast and warm. Got a risotto, it had a good taste but it could have been better. It still had a bite but I would have liked it to be a little softer. The gin tonic was strong an delicious. For my bill I had to wait quite some time and I finally stood up to go pay for it. The risotto was way overpiced for the amount of it. The cocktail did have a good price. Also the waiter made a joke about me being out alone to eat. For me personally no problem. But someone else might not go a next time because they feel weird for going out for dinner by themself.

The food was on the cheaper side compared to other restaurants in schevenigen so we decided to give it ago because it can't be that bad, right? We had ravioli, kid's pizza, a vegetarian pizza and some dessert. My son was celebrating his birthday so i went to the maître d to ask if we could request a candle to be put on the cake as it was served. Before i could get a word in, the man totally dismissed me and pointed me to our server who was still busy with another table. Our food came and it was very disappointing. The dishes looked good but did not deliver on flavor. I even had a thought that pasta and pizza from the grocery store had better quality. The table beside us ordered a massive pizza which is a selling point for this restaurant if you're only after a big portion and calories The saving grace was our server who was totally sweet and lovely with the kids

Hands off !!!!!! The service is a complete disaster, as is the food. We waited so long for our food that we ended up having it twice!!! arrives wrong. I ordered something vegetarian and was presented with minced meat and accidentally ate it! We still had to wait for our drinks after eating, despite being pointed out several times. Cutlery was also forgotten. It seemed like they were completely overwhelmed. At the beginning I was also given incorrect advice about my food and when I said it, the manager(?) exposed me in a very loud tone in front of the whole restaurant. We also discouraged new customers from going there when they were standing at the door. Then they were cheeky enough to demand money for it even though I only took one bite of the food. I've never seen anything so impossible. This ruined my entire evening.

You are treated like a number, they take the order incorrectly, then food and drinks arrive at the same time, then you are no longer looked after and you have to look after everything yourself, dirty plates, etc. are not cleared away, etc., etc., not again for us!

We had to wait 40 minutes before I got the attention to order something. Then I had to pay immediately. We hadn't ordered anything yet. Wash the bill from the table before. That gentleman with the ponytail is not customer friendly. I've never met anyone who works like that in service. He walks up to you and nods his head for you to order. He doesn't talk. When I order he looks around. He's that uninterested. The others in the service were very friendly. I won't start about the food, because then I won't have enough space. I know what I'm talking about. I was active in the catering industry for more than 25 years.

Let's start with the dishes, there's not much to complain about, it was very good! Quite generous on pizzas, a little less on meat dishes. The service was a little more disappointing, cold waitress, zero smile, don't understand when we speak… But the atmosphere of the restaurant is really good, good choices of music, nice restaurant whether inside or outside! If you go there, it’s up to you to make up your mind!

We had Pizza Parma and Pizza La Galleria (seafood). The combination of knife and plate was unsuitable. Our pizza order was “forgotten” by the system. Our waitress was nice, but couldn't speak German, English and probably not Dutch either. The tables by the window didn't work at all due to the temperatures and the draft. Card payment surprisingly worked.

We again ate in the wine bar of this restaurant. It is tastefully decorated and there are nice round seats or high tables. The waitress was very friendly and professional. Delicious carpaccio, lamb chops and caramel ice cream. Beautiful wines!
