We were here for dinner on a Sunday evening after spending time on the beach and the pier. Only a few tables were occupied so we did not have to wait to be seated. The ambience was very nice like a typical Italian restaurant. The host/waitress was very friendly and cheerful. She helped us pick vegetarian options from the menu. We ordered tomato soup, a very large pizza , a ravioli pasta and red wine. The soup was nice but a bit bland but a dash of pepper fixed that. The pizza and pasta were amazing. The portion size of all the dishes was quite big. The price was also quite reasonable. Will definitely recommend this place for someone looking for an Italian restaurant with good vegetarian options on the beach.

The best Italian restaurant in Scheveningen, a household name since 1981. We had a Bruschetta (€8), Lasagna (€17), and a Tiramisu (€8) here. It tastes as if grandma is in the kitchen; everything is very tasty. It is a cozy restaurant with friendly service.

I ate there with my family (three children). The food was delicious; we had noodles and pasta. The service was quick. The house wine was good.

It sometimes took a bit longer to be served, even though it wasn't even half full. Because of that, we saw some people around us leave before they had even ordered anything.

We went there twice and both times the (vegan) food was truly excellent. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was also appealing.

For us, THE place to eat in Scheveningen – especially for gluten-free options! We spent five days in Scheveningen and actually ate at La Galleria on the Boulevard three out of four evenings – and that pretty much says it all. 😊 We discovered the restaurant quite by chance back in 2023. Our already very positive impression was surpassed on our visit in 2026. Particularly important for us as a family: Our 12-year-old son has to eat gluten-free. At La Galleria, he gets gluten-free pizza and pasta – and, most importantly, you can immediately tell that they're familiar with the issue. Every server we encountered knew exactly what gluten-free meant. No complicated explanations, no uncertainty. Just order and feel well taken care of. That's incredibly valuable for families with a child who eats gluten-free. And most importantly: The gluten-free pizza was really delicious, arrived quickly, and our son was simply delighted. 🍕❤️ But even apart from that, we can absolutely recommend La Galleria: the pizza, pasta, appetizers, and desserts were excellent, the service was always friendly and attentive, the drinks were good, and the atmosphere right on the boulevard was simply lovely. Anyone looking for good Italian food in Scheveningen, and especially a really good gluten-free pizza or pasta, should definitely try La Galleria. We'll definitely be back – at the latest on our next visit to Scheveningen! 🇳🇱🍕

Hearty pasta carbonara, good pizza, good lasagna, and live music. Reasonable price for the food. Tiramisu is also very good. Coffee can be on the strong side, but that doesn't bother me.

An absolutely fantastic Italian restaurant in The Hague! The pizza was divine – perfectly baked and incredibly delicious. The cheesecake was also simply outstanding and a perfect end to the meal. The cocktails were first-class and tasted amazing. I'd especially like to highlight the service: the staff were very attentive, friendly, and dedicated. You feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Attractive prices, friendly, helpful, and fast staff (our server even spoke a little French to us), the four-cheese pizza was delicious, the atmosphere was calm and cozy—just perfect! 👍 For those with a big appetite, the pizza for one person is very generously topped; you don't need an XL to be satisfied.

We had dinner there yesterday and were absolutely thrilled! The food was beautifully presented, incredibly delicious, and cooked to perfection. The Italian menu leaves nothing to be desired – everything from the appetizer to the dessert was simply wonderful. I'd especially like to highlight the very pleasant atmosphere and the excellent service; everything ran perfectly from start to finish. The value for money is also really good; you get great quality at very fair prices. The selection of alcoholic beverages was also very good and of high quality. We will definitely be back very soon!

The food was good - especially the bruschetta. The frozen cappuccino and Aperol Spritz were perfect. The waitress was a bit unfriendly and negligent. However, the runners were nice and friendly :).

Dinner was the best part of our weekend trip to Rotterdam/The Hague. I had seasonal vegetables and tender chicken with roasted potatoes. I was very impressed that real Italians work here and everything is prepared with love. My girlfriend had the prawns with spaghetti, which was also heavenly. Breakfast the next morning was a bit of a disappointment, though. Both the portion size and the taste of dinner were incomparably better here. Upon entering, the same waiter (who doesn't speak Dutch) said hello 20 times. Furthermore, we had ordered pizzas, which were served quickly, by the way, but were waaaaaaaaay too salty. The wine was mediocre. Also, there was a man blaring away on a piano in our ears the whole time. I certainly wouldn't recommend this place; I'd rather go to the McDonald's next door.

I strongly advise against this restaurant. Right from the start, we received dirty plates, no bread with our appetizers, and they wouldn't bring us cutlery when we asked for it. The waiter couldn't even take simple orders and acted as if we were speaking Chinese. Furthermore, we waited about 40 minutes for simple dishes, which was the last straw. The glasses were dirty, and the waiter couldn't speak German. In the end, I received eight pasta dishes with olive oil and tomato sauce; I barely saw any swordfish.

I had a lovely meal here in November with my girlfriend and our teenage daughters. A delicious mixed seafood platter for us, and pizzas for the girls. The service was friendly and it was quiet inside. Perfect for our musical evening.

We go here regularly for a nice fresh breakfast (colazione). A tiered stand with a large croissant, 1 toasted corn slice, and a brown roll. Various toppings, such as mortadella, cheese, jam, chocolate spread, and fresh salmon, tomato with mozzarella. A boiled egg, and a piece of limoncello cake. Includes fresh orange juice. Value for money. Finished off with a walk on the beach.

Very nice atmosphere and the price was perfectly reasonable. The two of us paid €55 including tip. I had the sea bream. The owner filleted it right on my plate. It tasted fantastic. The pizzas also looked very good, although we didn't try them. I can highly recommend it.

The food was delicious, but the staff was not customer-friendly and abrupt towards the guests being welcomed. Upon arrival, we were not greeted either; we were simply shown to a table without a word. Additionally, the tables and floor had not been cleaned, even though it wasn't full. For me, it was a bit of a disappointment, as the food was good, but the service was really below par. If you want a nice meal, it is certainly a good place, but not if you are looking for customer friendliness. Staff were even on their phones in the restaurant in front of all the guests.

My girlfriend and I ate here today and were absolutely delighted. My girlfriend had the Pizza Tonno and I had the Tagliatelle Salmone – both were superbly prepared, fresh, and delicious. We would especially like to commend the service: The waiters were extremely attentive, friendly, and courteous. We felt welcome and very well looked after from the moment we arrived.

Service is horrible. People not speaking Dutch and not helping. We reserved a table upfront but when come they did not even check reservation nd placed us where we asked not to do. We waved several times to make an order but no one came. We ordered calamaris but they were way dark and overcooked, had stomach pain after eating them. Pasta carbonara was very thick souse and half cold. Only pizza was decent. Felt horrible place and careless people work there. Will never go here again.

Unbeatable value for money at breakfast! We went here for breakfast and were absolutely delighted. The restaurant is actually Italian, so we can't comment on their regular hot meals – but the breakfast was fantastic! The food: For an unbeatable €10.75, you get a fully loaded tiered tray that truly has everything you could want. It included fresh croissants, bread, a great selection of cold cuts (even salmon!), delicious burrata with tomato, eggs, and sweet spreads. There was also freshly squeezed orange juice. Everything was incredibly delicious and fresh! The service: Very friendly and attentive. The ambiance & location: The price is more than fair for this location. However, you can tell that the place is showing its age and could use a little updating. Conclusion: If you're looking for a generous, delicious breakfast at a great price, this is the place to go. We'll definitely be back for breakfast!

Tasty food, great customer service

The pizza was okay, but the service was noticeably slow despite the restaurant being almost empty. When it came time to pay, the waiter added a tip to his own bill and "accidentally" double-counted some of the drinks. Overall, the visit was disappointing, and I wouldn't return.

The waiter was incredibly cold. Uncooperative and uncommunicative. Even when paying, no thank you, no please... basic courtesy. Plus, it was dusty everywhere, and don't even get me started on the toilets 😪 And as for the food, the ham pizza had a dry crust and no seasoning... it's shameful for a supposedly Italian restaurant! I definitely don't recommend it at all.

Very fast service... too fast: the aperitif was barely served before the main course arrived. Furthermore, the servers were not very talkative and made no effort to explain things or understand the customers. A quick trip to the restroom: what can I say... the door handle was wobbly and practically fell into my hand. The toilet paper holder was loose and fell right into my arms... a more thorough cleaning could be done as it was extremely dusty. Regarding the bill: we asked to wait a bit, but they brought it to us immediately without a word. Really unprofessional at all. The main course wasn't bad, thankfully. Ham pizza: very thin and hard crust with no seasoning whatsoever. In short, disappointed 😞 😞 😞

We had 2 pizzas last night, the pizzas arrived quickly and we finished everything quickly. During the theater show, my boyfriend started having stomach problems and was sweaty. He had to go to the toilet often. Fortunately, I didn't suffer too severely from it, but I didn't feel well either. It was clear the pizzas weren't good. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back; the staff was friendly, and the restaurant looked nice too.

A good Italian restaurant. Our pizzas were fine, at least. Considering the rather expensive Scheveningen promenade, the prices were still reasonable. Very friendly service.

We ate here; we were pleasantly surprised that there was still a table for us late in the evening. The service was very friendly, quick to reach us, and helpful. It didn't take long for the food to arrive at the table. The food was absolutely top-notch in terms of presentation and also very tasty. From the meat to the seafood pasta, it was simply delicious. Definitely recommended if you want to eat Italian food in The Hague.

The place itself is beautiful and the atmosphere is nice, but unfortunately that’s where the positives end. The staff seemed quite unfriendly and unwelcoming. We said hello when we arrived, but no one greeted us back or even smiled, which immediately made the experience feel uncomfortable. The food was also underwhelming and lacked flavor, especially considering the prices. Also, a small note for the kitchen: pasta carbonara is usually served with Parmesan cheese, which was missing here. Overall, a nice-looking place, but the service and food really need improvement.

The service is incredibly friendly; they work very hard. The atmosphere is always good. The food is always good for me too (gluten-free pizza). There's often music on Saturday nights. I really enjoy coming here.

It was very cold inside. When I asked if the heating wasn't working, they laughed it off and offered me a blanket. Hospitable, but I don't think that's the intention when you're sitting inside. I ordered a children's menu with a chicken schnitzel. We received a crispy chicken fillet (seemed to be from the freezer, at least not fresh) that was quite spicy. Not really suitable for a children's menu. The pizza was fine, the pasta nice and warm. The tiramisu, on the other hand, was very meager for the 8 euros you pay. The food was fine, but not great.

We went there on Christmas Day and chose the three-course meal. The selection was perfect for us, and the portions were generous, so we were quite satisfied. The friendly and attentive service made us feel very comfortable – we were constantly asked if we needed anything else. The live Italian music added to the pleasant atmosphere; some guests even got up and danced. All in all, a truly lovely and relaxing evening.

Incredibly poor service. For a group of 20+ people, we had one waiter who checked on us every half hour. We had to wait 25-30 minutes for each round of drinks. Something was added to our receipt that we hadn't ordered. The staff was rude and not friendly at all. They didn't speak Dutch either. Once and never again!!!

Unfortunately, the waitress tipped a bottle of beer over me as she walked by. My sweater, pants, and purse were wet. It can happen, OK. I did get an apology, yes. Unfortunately, no compensation. I had hoped that they would at least accommodate me with my drink. The broken glass was roughly swept up with a broom, and the beer was left wet on the floor, so that everyone who walked past slipped or at least had sticky shoes. Since it wasn't that busy at the time, I find this unusual. The food was good. Although expensive, like everywhere else on the promenade.
