There's no decent soup, only tomato and some vegetable. Desserts are more or less decent, but overpriced.

Absurdly high prices that are absolutely out of proportion to the quality offered. For an asparagus salad, a piece of bread, and 200 grams of meat, you pay no less than 20 euros. In addition, there are a number of major downsides: No prices listed: Half of the products do not have a price indicated, meaning you only find out what you are paying for afterwards. No napkins: If you want to wipe your hands, you cannot find napkins anywhere. Paid toilet: Did you just spend 20 euros? Then you still have to pay 1 euro to use the toilet. This is everything you need to know about how this establishment treats its customers. For us, it is absolutely a "never again"!

We drove 40km to eat this food. Pizza and Pasta was not available. However we took the pita bread and expected it to be decent for that price. But the quality of the food was too poor.

If I had to describe it in one word: overpriced. 2 meager sandwiches for 15 euros. One was supposed to have kimchi on it, but I didn't notice any. With the other sandwich, the first and last bites were just dry bread, no filling.

Surprisingly appealing and healthy food. You can assemble your own plate there, with options including grilled vegetables, couscous salad, salmon, and fish. Highly recommended for a rest stop!

Sandwiches are okay. But for two cups of soup, a sandwich, and a wrap, you'll spend almost 40 euros. The tomato soup stank and the vegetable soup was so terribly salty that it was inedible. I spoke to someone but didn't even get an apology……. I'd rather get a sandwich at the gas station.

I just visited La Place in the Netherlands, at [location to be added]. All I can say is: the food selection is truly fantastic. But what impressed me most was the friendliness of the people who work there. I don't want to just call them "servers." They are wonderful people who serve their guests with a smile and make sure you feel welcome from beginning to end. And that's something we in Germany could definitely learn from. The food is of very high quality. Of course, quality comes at a price – but that's perfectly fine with me if I get really good food for it. And that's exactly what I get here. On top of that, there's friendly and attentive service, something that's sadly all too often lacking in my own country. Many thanks to all the staff who were there working today. You made my visit a truly wonderful experience.

The toilets were spotless and it was air-conditioned. That's all that was good. The food looked like it had been sat there all day. Overly boiled soup, french bread rolls had flies on them! The staff were not particularly approachable. What was once a great fresh food concept has been reduced to a joke, an old dirty joke at that.

This La place restaurant remains a good place to stop for a mean when traveling. It is pricey but irresistible. Too bad it closes too early in the evening.

It is always relatively quiet there, and the people who work there really do their best. Additionally, it is certainly advisable to use the La Place app, one of the few apps that actually offers significant discounts. That way, you can snag a free dish after just one or two visits. I find it an ideal place to have a quiet meal on the way to your final destination. Tip: The free water is available, but regular drinks (soft drinks) are very pricey in relation to the food. You will find these after the checkout in a large glass carafe with glasses.

Definitely worth eating and drinking

This time it was a huge disappointment. Not really the fresh rolls. My Foccia with baked Ricotta was fine, but the Ham Baguette, on the other hand, wasn't good enough. The roll was soggy, the ingredients questionable, and on closer inspection, discolored. It wasn't eaten and ended up in the trash. I have a feeling there is something wrong with the refrigeration. The coffee was excellent. Too bad....

Located along the highway, so very convenient if you are hungry or need to use the restroom. The table was a bit dirty and the chairs were covered in crumbs. The sandwich was fine and the coffee was good. You won't find any atmosphere here.

You can only pay for the toilet here with exact change. It's awful having to drive on after that.

The classic beef burger is very delicious, juicy, fresh and tasty with soft brioche bread. The tomato soup is super dense and fresh. Yes, it’s not as cheap as Mc or KFC, but the food quality is good as a real restaurant, but faster than normal restaurant. It is a good surprise on a highway: to have proper food and relatively fast (I wait 5min for a fresh made beef burger). A perfect choice specially when traveling with family👍🏼

It's getting quite expensive. And then you have to pay for the toilet. You might as well go to a real restaurant. And the selection really depends on which La Place you walk into. Here it was a bit meager. Fast food always involves compromises, and La Place is no different.

Upon arrival, this location was closed, while the signs on Dexweg indicated otherwise.

Friendly staff. The food is tasty, I think the Brussels sprouts had already been fried a few times, this one was less so... otherwise nothing to complain about.

Normally I really love La Place. But the restaurant in Weert is definitely not recommended. The staff isn't very friendly, it's super stuffy inside; it's unbearable there at 25 degrees. The food was really bad. The rolls were rock hard, with hardly any cheese on them, and the salad was very watery. The toilets and the restaurant itself aren't clean either. Been there a few times and nothing seems to be changing. We won't be going back.

A roadside restaurant has little atmosphere. That is not what you come for. The menu is diverse and looks tasty. Friendly staff.

The two of us chose the pork tenderloin with mushroom sauce and seasonal vegetables (pumpkin and Brussels sprouts), with a side salad. The meal was very disappointing. The pork tenderloin was tough, the vegetables cold, and the Brussels sprouts tough on the outside and slimy on the inside. The fries were limp and greasy. We came through the tunnel from the other side of the highway; actually, we should have turned around upon entering the tunnel as it didn't look inviting there—tiles coming off the wall, unpleasant smell, etc. The reason we didn't turn around was that, up until now, we were reasonably satisfied with the La Place chain (driver, so on the road a lot). We don't expect culinary masterpieces, just a normal meal. We will be skipping this place from now on; we found it anything but tasty. (Update: after a long time, I saw that our review hadn't been posted, so I have adjusted the text slightly.)

Roadside restaurant, nothing more or less. Staff work with the handbrake on, plenty of time for each other, less for customers. 0.80 for toilet use.

Highway La Place. The positive is that it looks clean and tidy. The ham and bacon sandwich was soggy and half-baked. The cheese roll and coffee were fine. 38 euros gone. Hema has better quality for a better price. Unworthy of La Place.

They start blending fruit while people are eating and drinking. It is accompanied by an awful lot of noise. If you say something about it, they just shrug their shoulders. So there you sit with your small €3.65 cappuccino amidst inhuman racket. Scandalous.

I am traveling by car quite often and that was one of the best rest stops I have ever been to. The buffets offers a big variety of beautifully arranged, fresh food (like salads, antipasti, soups, sandwiches and many more options). There are also a lot of vegan options. The area is very clean, the personal is super friendly and the price-value ratio is also very good. Highly recommended for a fresh, healthy meal break!

Hello Yes, we loved it! The food was very good, we ate well, and the service was fine. As for the atmosphere, I found the place calm and pleasant.

After paying at the cash register, the hot dish (primrose ham with fries) was supposed to be ready in 10 minutes. After waiting 15 minutes, I went to ask, and it turned out that a young, inexperienced-looking employee had "forgotten," literally saying, "I have too much to do." The restaurant wasn't busy, and the kitchen staff at the various stations were visibly idle. Older, more experienced employees were busy managing inventory, tidying up, cleaning, etc.

Looks nice but is not i will say is standard place to take something fast our drink.. not high recommend

A chicken wrap that lay a bit pitifully on a plate that was too big and that for €10,-… scandalous….!

The staff was friendly, but also staff who first pulled the hair and then calmly continued preparing the food. A mixer that was turned on, and you couldn't hear each other at all. This makes the overall impression a poor one. The lady who took the checkout and also served coffee and tea was very friendly and helpful, hence the meager three stars.

After a long, tiring 14-hour journey, we had breakfast here around 10:00 am. It's a small La Place. Not everything was ready yet, but there was a selection of sandwiches. The young staff wasn't exactly in a hurry either...mostly playing with the blender, which made a tremendous racket throughout the restaurant. We noticed that the entrance and the floor of the restaurant were very dirty, as were the tables. You could tell this dirt had been there for a while. Not very appetizing. The outside of the building could also use a good cleaning. There was a fly trap hanging from a gutter, probably something from the summer? I'll skip this La Place next time.

The three of us had a piece of meat, fries, salad, and a cup of soup. It was absolutely delicious, well-prepared, generous portions, and everything was delicious. We didn't see a mosquito. The restrooms were clean.

The food is quite good, and the place looks decent. The staff clearly tries their best. However, the building is in poor condition, which is reflected everywhere. It's cold, and the restrooms are either dirty or unclean. There's plenty of room for improvement.

I've always been a fan of La Place, as a former restaurant specialist, so I picked up a bite to eat here on my way to Spain. The sandwich was delicious and well-filled, but even here (you're not the only ones in the Netherlands) the cutlery looks too dirty to even touch in all the baskets, let alone to eat from! I find it absolutely unacceptable and it kills all your appetite.

Too busy and noisy. No chance to enjoy it in peace. The selection and presentation are a tried-and-true formula. Enjoy!

It was incredibly busy, but everything was perfectly fine. It was a necessary stop for us along the highway.

A significant mosquito infestation, both in the restaurant area and the restrooms. Apparently (upon inquiry) there was a water problem in the crawl space/basement. This was supposed to be addressed tomorrow. My advice is to come back after this; it's simply not feasible.

Five of us dined here, and the self-service menu was beautifully presented, with everything clearly labeled. We ordered three pea soups and a pumpkin soup with extra tuna and chicken rolls, and the food was delicious. The service, ambiance, and food are all as you'd expect from a La Place.

Very poor service, no refills, way too expensive for what you get, cold chocolate milk was lukewarm, toilets were filthy and there was no toilet paper. Something's been said about it, the staff just look so-so. Tables were dirty and hadn't been cleaned. Dogs are allowed inside and can walk around the children's "playground." Seems like a good place to skip.

Very expensive for what you get and the service. Dirty tables. One checkout, and there you are, standing with your heavy tray in a long line.

Good food, nice atmosphere, plenty of seating. The restrooms are clean, but you have to pay 80 cents for them even if you've ordered something. You do get a 50-cent discount coupon, though. The food and drinks are a bit pricey.

I had a great meal here, the staff were friendly and attentive. Incidentally, the coffee here was much better than at other La Place locations. The food was delicious, and I had a few tasty sandwiches. Overall, the restaurant and surrounding area seemed clean. I was quite shocked when I went to the men's restroom. A sizable colony of tiger mosquitoes had taken up residence there. There were more than 30 mosquitoes on every wall. I kept a close eye on them, but there were dozens of mosquitoes all along the hallway to the restroom. I was really itchy for a bit, so be careful there!

Ugh...what can I say about this place?? I had pumpkin soup and a cappuccino and was charged €11.50?????????!!!! This isn't okay/normal for me!!

It's a shame that there's a "Burger King" sign at the entrance, but there isn't a Burger King there...

You can't complain if you find something vegan on the menu that works for you. The soup and main course were okay. But you'd expect a little more creativity than a vegan burger and fries these days. It's a real shame there aren't more options. There's so much to choose from, and non-vegans wouldn't even notice.

La Place: the best roadside restaurants in the Netherlands! Update: I went to La Place Roevenpeel again after a long time (I live abroad). I was shocked by the prices! For example: a medium (small for me) cup of pea soup €6.70, apple and nut cake €5.80. I ended up getting a sausage roll instead: €3.85... It got very expensive. The toilets were filthy! What a disappointment!

FIRST THINK CAREFULLY ABOUT WHAT YOU DO The place is no longer there on the A2 near Nederweert but now about the food at Burger King the food was not lou but really cold the cheese that did not melt the bacon also cold the old rolls just broke off in pieces oh yes and then also about the toilet there also too dirty to go to the urine (puddle) is just on the floor where you can stand in

1 p.m. I was looking forward to a fresh orange juice... the girl refused to make one. She said it was all gone. Then she used the blender to blend whatever was left in the ice cream. The bender was going on the whole time. The place... they could be a bit more considerate of ambient noise and customer service.

Laplace is our regular coffee stop on vacation; a cappuccino with sausage rolls is delicious! Friendly staff, and a special thanks to the lady in the kitchen who brought water for our dogs!
