So, I'm reviewing this as a French truck driver. It's true, the prices aren't the same as a "restaurant for French truck drivers." The price isn't the same, but... the food is fantastic!!! I thoroughly enjoyed it. As a Frenchman, the welcome was very good. You need to speak English, which is normal, we're in the Netherlands. The waitress was welcoming, thank you! I'm taking off one star because this "truck stop restaurant" doesn't quite capture the French spirit yet. But I still recommend it. Regarding other comments, yes, the parking isn't great, but to keep prices competitive, who cares? 😉 In short -> a warm welcome, an excellent meal, clean showers and toilets, a truly wonderful experience. Well done to the whole team. I recommend it.

Dated place, quite pricey but very friendly staff

The food was good, but there is absolutely no atmosphere. Chairs were broken and the toilet was a mess. Out of toilet paper. This was reported multiple times, but due to how busy it is, nothing is being done about it. Very disappointing.

What a disappointment! This used to be a nice restaurant where we regularly stopped for a tasty meal while traveling for over 35 years. Today is the last time for us!! The toilet is really filthy (nowhere is clean inside or out, everything is neglected). The food is very mediocre (bad!) and outrageously expensive for what you get. Never again for us! Bye bye

Unfortunately, with four dishes, only 1 portion of fries, 6 mini croquettes, and a small bowl of potato slices...and a little bit of vegetables.. This was the last time here.. €25 for a main course that says "with fries" on the menu (per dish?)...how expensive are fries? And a schnitzel that was firmer than a rubber doormat...yuck, never here again...

Our experience was not that negative. Both the exterior and interior are faded glory and could use some love. The service was prompt and friendly, and the food simple and good. The sanitary facilities were outdated but clean. Hopefully, they will be renovated.

Greetings everyone!!! Well, there's really nothing else to add. Everything about the parking lot is excellent, the guys have already described it in detail. So, the parking lot is excellent!

Delicious carpaccio with bread in a bag. I didn't recognize it at first, but it's handy if you want to take it away. Although it was actually too good for that, because everything was finished! Everything was really perfectly organized. Hats off to the waiter; he was working alone, it was busy, and yet the service was top-notch!

The service and the manager are just super, thank you very much, there is no discrimination against Russian-speaking drivers as they like in some parking lots, the parking fee is 27.50 + food for this price, the food is super, thanks a lot to the chef.

Terrible service! We were passing through on our way to Belgium and thought we'd have a nice lunch. But we didn't get our food until after an hour, while in the meantime, 3 other tables that came in after us were already served their food. And even worse, the 2 slices of miller's bread from my lunch (cost 15.95) were 2 tiny little crusts of about 12 and 14 cm. Whereas all the other customers, including my husband, received 2 normal slices of bread. If you politely mention it, you are told that this is normal. No apologies or anything. Really so bad!

Close to the highway with ample parking and Tesla charging stations. The wait was a bit long, but good value for money. The reception was a little impersonal but adequate.

Waited 50 minutes for a nasty schnitzel while we thought we were just grabbing a quick bite at a roadside restaurant. Very disappointing, especially for the price you pay.

We had a delicious midday meal, the service was friendly, but there was a shortage of staff, so we had to wait a while for our lunch.

The panini sandwich was disappointing. One side had neat stripes, and the other was soft and soggy. ‘Heated up in the oven. That’s how they come from the supplier.’

Good food, sometimes you need a bit of patience, few staff, but the food is delicious. It's just a shame it's quite pricey; 220 euros for 3 people and having to wait an hour. Better luck next time.

Rounded off a midweek getaway with brunch. Service very friendly. The space is a bit old-fashioned, but we had a delicious meal.

Few good vegetarian options, and also a wait of well over half an hour for a fried egg. (The order was also only taken after barely half an hour) If you are not a vegetarian and you have the time, it is probably fine.

Friendly staff, food was good but pricey and took a long time to arrive; I still had to drive further, did not use the shower, and the sanitary facilities were very outdated.

Parking 27.5 euros per day. I checked in on Tuesday at 8:30 PM and there was one space. That price includes food, a shower, and a toilet. It's quiet and peaceful!

It is incredible how hard the two waitstaff could work. Together, they had everything under control. Despite the low staffing, we didn't have to wait long to order. The food was also served relatively quickly. It was simply delicious. And we were able to pay quickly as well. That is what you get with real hospitality tigers in the service.

We like to go there when we drive south.

I used to come here (at Gerrit's) often with my father (a truck driver), and recently went to eat again after a very long time. Unfortunately, the nostalgic trucker's meatball is no longer on the menu. I had secretly set my sights on it, if only to relive the good old days😃 But despite that, I had a delicious meal. The quiet atmosphere inside is very pleasant.

We loved staying in the restaurant with our friends on our way to Germany. The place is quite and cozy, the desserts were tasty, friendly co-workers. Also it's worth mentioning that the owners are very nice people. We forgot our hat in the restaurant and they have sent us the package to Germany, doing an extra step, spending time on it. We appreciate it a lot. Many thanks. We would like to come back some day ❤️

What used to be a nice, tasty, and clean pit stop has turned into a desolate, outdated place with stinking toilets and lower-quality food. I would drive on these days. It's a shame, because we used to enjoy going there.

I came here for the first time and didn't regret it! The atmosphere is great and the people are wonderful! I was treated not like a truck driver but like a valued guest. The staff is simply superb! Parking costs 27.50 rubles per day, and for that price you can order almost any dish from the menu. And believe me! No matter what you choose, it's guaranteed to be delicious. You also get a free shower and toilet. I'd especially like to point out the quiet surroundings, the forest, and the birds singing. The place is truly gorgeous! The only downside is the dusty parking lot; when the wind blows, it kicks up dust. But compared to all the other advantages, this is a minor detail that doesn't spoil the overall impression of this wonderful place.

Stopped here in the afternoon for lunch, parking is easy and the service is friendly.

If you just stop by to take a shower without paying for parking and lunch, be prepared to pay 7.5 euros for a shower.

Goudreinet is ideally located for a pit stop on your journey. • Food & Portions: The food was good and the portion sizes were perfectly adequate. You'll definitely leave satisfied. • Location: The location is very convenient, especially for electric car drivers: A Tesla Supercharger is right next door. Conclusion: Perfect for a relaxing break with good food while your car charges. I'd gladly come again!

It is a nice roadside restaurant in itself, but don't expect too much from it. Upon entering, I went to the toilet first. Unbearably filthy! There was a sign saying you have to pay a euro if you are only there for a quick stop. Not strange in itself, but then you would expect the place to be clean. It stinks and just doesn't look tidy. I wasn't just there for a quick stop. The car was charging and it was time for lunch. I went for the bacon eggs cheese omelet for €14.50. I'm including the price because it's quite a high amount for a sandwich with egg. There was plenty of bacon and egg with it and the presentation looked well-kept, but still, I want to make the point that everything is just very expensive. Everywhere, not just here. The service was very friendly. I was the only one in the place, which naturally detracts from the atmosphere. The restaurant was neat, but a bit old-fashioned. This is entirely in line with expectations, by the way. The bar does look cozy, though.

The parking lot and cafe are great, the shower and toilet are free, there is Wi-Fi, but the Wi-Fi reception is poor in the parking lot.

Finally found a restaurant along the A2 towards Maastricht. This was a bit disappointing... first of all, the cappuccino was lukewarm, and then the chairs sliding hard across the floor. Perhaps a few felt pads under the legs would be nice. The dishes that passed by looked tasty. But we drove on to our holiday destination.

A regular stop during our travels through Weert. The interior might be getting a bit dated and worn, but the atmosphere is pleasant: friendly staff and the chef conjures up tasty, traditional Dutch dishes from his kitchen.

Welcoming, friendly staff, delicious Limburg flan. The restaurant is clean and tidy, the toilets are also clean but could use a renovation. But definitely recommended if you want to take a toilet break anyway.

Ordered a cheese omelette, got a ham and cheese omelette. Not too bad, but if you really don't like ham, it is of course. The waitress spoke English and broken Dutch, probably didn't understand.

We've eaten here a few times before. It was always great and pleasant, but this time it was disappointing. The 12 o'clock meal and panini for lunch were mediocre, but it was especially noticeable that the cleaning hadn't been done properly. The floor was littered with rubbish, including fries from the day before. The toilet was truly awful, and the hand dryer didn't work. The owner was enthusiastic, but the young woman who helped looked a bit disinterested. It's a shame, it really was a nice diner.

The parking lot is gravel, a bit potholed, but you can park. Parking costs €27.50. Paying for truck parking includes free showers and lunch. The showers are clean. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the service is excellent. Highly recommended.

The food is fine. The shower and toilet are old and smelly. It's not exactly cheap for drivers.

I'd been meaning to stop here for lunch again sometime. (I'd been here many years ago.) What struck me immediately upon entering was that the interior looked old and worn. (Like the peeling doors.) So, first to the restroom... Ugh, that was a mess. It was clear it hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time. Yuck. So I immediately turned around and went somewhere else to eat.

October 27, 2025, we stopped at this roadside restaurant on our way to Simpelveld. There was a spacious parking lot, and the restaurant was busy. A table just opened up, so we were lucky. The service was quick and friendly. The selection was more than adequate. If you wanted to change something, it was easily accommodated. The food was good and plentiful. Good tea and coffee, and delicious fresh juice. A great place to stop.

Great restaurant for a relaxing break during your trip. The menu is varied, and if you don't like something, they'll make it for you. Friendly staff and good service. It is a bit pricey, though. Electric charging stations are available in the parking lot, and there's plenty of parking. Free. Restrooms are a bit sparse. I suspect this is because many travelers and truckers frequent the area.

A top restaurant for us, especially while charging our EV. Finally, some good, well-prepared food, without any nonsense, like "curled pink lettuce leaves from Peru" and caramelized Himalayan grape drops. . . . . Just a good meatball or an excellent fried egg sandwich. Very friendly service and a delicious meal.

We arrived at the closed door at 10.15.

The staff were rude and we had to wait a long time. The onion soup was very thick and slimy with a large chunk of bread in it and far too salty.

It's just a pity that it is no longer open early in the morning for the driver. For the rest, you are served immediately and there is the possibility to shower.

I regularly come across it on my way to Limburg

This is now our regular stop when we return from a trip. We also pop in randomly since it's only half an hour away. Good food, good and friendly service. It might be a good idea to make a reservation in advance, as we're not the only ones who know about this gem. Enjoy!

Bad experience. I clearly ordered a small soup that's supposed to be included with lunch. It turns out they served a large one and we had to pay for the large one, because if you order a large, you pay for the large one. They disputed that we'd ordered the small one, even though they asked if we wanted everything at once. Unfriendly, too. Once, but never again. Addition: I called afterward and told her I'd left a review, and she said she knew what we'd ordered but there was nothing she could do about it. So, not fair either. It's not about the money, it's just not right.

We had a wonderful meal there; everything was well taken care of. Friendly staff. I do have one minor complaint: the lunch or dinner menus, as you might call them, were incredibly dirty and sticky. I thought it was part of hygiene. So it wasn't much trouble to take them off, as they were all laminated.

September 11, 2025, we had a delicious lunch on our way to Limburg. Friendly staff.

A bit dated (the clientele was too when we were there 😌). The food was delicious. The service was very slow when we arrived. We waited at the bar for over five minutes before someone greeted us and showed us to a seat. Then we had to wait 20! minutes before someone finally came to our table to bring the menu and take our drink orders. Thankfully, things moved much faster after that. Vegetarian options are limited.
