The food is fine. The shower and toilet are old and smelly. It's not exactly cheap for drivers.

I'd been meaning to stop here for lunch again sometime. (I'd been here many years ago.) What struck me immediately upon entering was that the interior looked old and worn. (Like the peeling doors.) So, first to the restroom... Ugh, that was a mess. It was clear it hadn't been properly cleaned in a long time. Yuck. So I immediately turned around and went somewhere else to eat.

Good and cozy food, great service

It's really nice to eat there. They are friendly and the food is perfect.

Had a small lunch, which was tasty but nothing special, and the price-quality ratio was good. The staff was friendly, but communication was a bit difficult. Good for a quick bite.

Great place for a cappuccino and a pie right next to the highway on the way to Maastricht

Usually good, but today the kibbeling was inedible—old, tough, and downright disgusting. The schnitzel and chicken satay were good, though.

October 27, 2025, we stopped at this roadside restaurant on our way to Simpelveld. There was a spacious parking lot, and the restaurant was busy. A table just opened up, so we were lucky. The service was quick and friendly. The selection was more than adequate. If you wanted to change something, it was easily accommodated. The food was good and plentiful. Good tea and coffee, and delicious fresh juice. A great place to stop.

A top restaurant for us, especially while charging our EV. Finally, some good, well-prepared food, without any nonsense, like "curled pink lettuce leaves from Peru" and caramelized Himalayan grape drops. . . . . Just a good meatball or an excellent fried egg sandwich. Very friendly service and a delicious meal.

Great restaurant for a relaxing break during your trip. The menu is varied, and if you don't like something, they'll make it for you. Friendly staff and good service. It is a bit pricey, though. Electric charging stations are available in the parking lot, and there's plenty of parking. Free. Restrooms are a bit sparse. I suspect this is because many travelers and truckers frequent the area.

We arrived at the closed door at 10.15.

The staff were rude and we had to wait a long time. The onion soup was very thick and slimy with a large chunk of bread in it and far too salty.

It's just a pity that it is no longer open early in the morning for the driver. For the rest, you are served immediately and there is the possibility to shower.

It was very busy when we were there and there was too little service so we left without eating anything.

Bad experience. I clearly ordered a small soup that's supposed to be included with lunch. It turns out they served a large one and we had to pay for the large one, because if you order a large, you pay for the large one. They disputed that we'd ordered the small one, even though they asked if we wanted everything at once. Unfriendly, too. Once, but never again. Addition: I called afterward and told her I'd left a review, and she said she knew what we'd ordered but there was nothing she could do about it. So, not fair either. It's not about the money, it's just not right.

This is now our regular stop when we return from a trip. We also pop in randomly since it's only half an hour away. Good food, good and friendly service. It might be a good idea to make a reservation in advance, as we're not the only ones who know about this gem. Enjoy!

We had a wonderful meal there; everything was well taken care of. Friendly staff. I do have one minor complaint: the lunch or dinner menus, as you might call them, were incredibly dirty and sticky. I thought it was part of hygiene. So it wasn't much trouble to take them off, as they were all laminated.

September 11, 2025, we had a delicious lunch on our way to Limburg. Friendly staff.

A bit dated (the clientele was too when we were there 😌). The food was delicious. The service was very slow when we arrived. We waited at the bar for over five minutes before someone greeted us and showed us to a seat. Then we had to wait 20! minutes before someone finally came to our table to bring the menu and take our drink orders. Thankfully, things moved much faster after that. Vegetarian options are limited.

Here you'll find delicious food. I'm a liver lover, and they have it here. Delicious. Melts in your mouth.

Great place with great staff. I really liked it! The helpful and friendly staff of the cafe are just great! I went to check my truck without picking up the order, and a beautiful girl caught up with me and gave me what I ordered! Also at the counter a beautiful lady talked to me nicely and explained everything. You can take food with you. A big plus is a very good shower, to use which you just need to take the key from the bar. Clean, hot. I definitely recommend the parking to drivers and just passing by. I managed to visit this place again and only positive emotions. 5 stars. Quiet, calm.

Delicious onion soup and tasty cappuccino

Fantastic restaurant. We stopped to fill up the car and had a coffee and a slice of delicious apple pie. The person who served us was very friendly.

The food at this roadside diner is excellent. The selection isn't extensive, but it's certainly adequate. The service is good, and the food was served quickly. The restaurant is a bit dated, especially the restrooms, but it's neat and clean. The prices are reasonable for a roadside diner.

If you're driving a tractor and want to grab a beer at 9 p.m. after a hot day, you still have to pay €20 to park. I understand they want other cars to eat too, but as a true Dutchman (who eats at 6 p.m.), I didn't get in anyone's way. Because of this ill-considered policy, I won't be stopping at this Toko Ajuus anymore.🤮

The food is a bit pricey, but okay. A main course alone is a bit short, and this is the most expensive place on earth for a little mayonnaise (€1.90!!!) that should just be standard with your fried potatoes. I was most shocked by the mayonnaise. Food costs money, and that's fine, but I personally find the mayo antisocial. Next time, I'll happily drive to another place. On principle! Reading the "owner's" comment, the level of sympathy is on par. None.

The service was friendly and fast. The food is delicious. I was just really shocked by the hygiene in the restrooms; there was a lot of dust, the toilets were filthy, and it didn't even look clean to use the bathroom at all. We have a small baby, but after seeing the cleanliness, we changed him in the car. I also noticed that the floor in the restaurant itself was quite dirty. The food was otherwise good and tasty, so that's not the problem. But if you want to project a good image, I think hygiene in the restrooms is very important.

I've been here many times to break my journey. It's a cozy café-style restaurant. I haven't eaten there, but I always order the pie. The waitress is very friendly.

Excellent driver's cafe/restaurant

The restaurant exudes an old-fashioned charm. Some people love that, others will prefer a more modern setting. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The parking lot is very large; it won't fill up quickly. Tesla fast chargers are available. It's easily accessible from the A2 motorway.

I had a bite to eat here on my way home from France. Everything was excellent. If I ever get the chance, I'll happily go back. Nothing special, really.

Comparing it to my other dining experiences, I can't say anything more. The quality is mediocre, and the prices are too high for what you get. I get the impression the food is purchased from a wholesaler and simply reheated. Definitely not recommended!

Cappuccino was more like coffee with a thick layer of foam. The salmon sandwich was tasty, but the tuna salad sandwich was too thick for my liking.

For a roadside restaurant it's okay. The staff seems a bit indifferent during service, but when paying they are suddenly super friendly. The food is fine, nothing special and sufficient if you want to eat something quickly on the road.

Because our Tesla had to be charged, we stopped here. A large parking lot with ten chargers. The whole thing looks a bit desolate. Restaurant Goudreinet looks a bit dated with a seventies look outside and a ditto interior. No bright colors, brown staining is dominant. We hesitated, leave or take a seat. 2 diet cokes, carpaccio sandwich and 2 slices of bread with meatball. The carpaccio tasted good, the bread and the meatball in a small pan were served unimaginatively. The final bill was €32.50, I would say steep. The whole thing really needs a remake. Not somewhere you would sit down a second time.

Absurd prices for very small portions! A mega small tub of mayonnaise for €1.30... seriously??! Service that leaves something to be desired: wait 30 minutes before someone comes to your table to take an order... And then pretend you're something exclusive... Shame on you, Goudreinet! The only plus is the atmosphere with other drivers. Goudreinet; pay your staff better so you don't have a shortage and buy your food better to reduce your prices! It is possible; look at the Gouden Leeuw Zevenbergschenhoek, among others... (no staff shortage, decent prices and portions, free showering + parking) It's possible!
