La Vespa in Laren

We've been coming to La Vespa for a long time. Unfortunately, it's not the same as it used to be. The pizzas were delicious, but I felt the service was a bit chaotic. First, something went wrong with our reservation. We ordered an appetizer, but our pizza arrived before the appetizer. Luckily, the chef caught it in time. Just as we were about to get our food, the staff asked us to sit somewhere else, because the people who had just arrived were always sitting at the table where we were. They hadn't made reservations either, but insisted on sitting at our table. Of course, we refused. I understand the staff can't do anything about that, but I found it absolutely unacceptable that we were even asked. Then we got a view of a baby's bottom being changed in the restaurant while everyone else was eating.

The food was incredibly delicious!!! For years, I've been coming at least once a week and have tried almost every dish... The melanzana is divine, made fresh from scratch!!! The pizza is delicious, super fresh, crispy, and flavorful!!! I just tried the new vegetarian tiramisu! I actually liked it even better than the one with alcohol... the crust is drier, and the taste is exactly the same... The service is always super friendly! The young people are eager to work there and are given excellent training! In such a busy restaurant, full every day, starting your first day is quite a feat! Have some respect for the young people who really go the extra mile! Always fast service, and nothing is too much trouble for them! And the next time you come, they know what you like best! Old-fashioned service with a smile and positivity! You'll find the most delicious pasta in Bussum!!! Definitely worth it and a nice change of pace. Wendy Kuit, Regular guest :-))

The food we ordered was delicious and hot, excellent. The service was terrible; there was no service at all after the food was served. Admittedly, the restaurant was packed, but there was no service at all, plates piled high, and no dessert. The payment was also dishonest; no receipt, only a debit card. You have to ask for one. It's a shame, poor, inattentive service detracts from the food we ordered.

The fresh pasta and creamy sauces are excellent and clearly made with care. Only the pizza crust was occasionally a bit too soft.

The pizzas were incredible, you can see the stone oven on site, the service was great, Javier served us, we really appreciated being able to speak Spanish with him, we don't hear Spanish spoken in many places in the area, great service, with lots of laughs, we will definitely return!!

A small but cozy Italian restaurant where the pizzas are truly excellent. Thin crust, crispy from the stone oven, and topped with fresh ingredients. The pasta carbonara was creamy and not overly heavy, just right. The staff is friendly, although it took a while for our drinks to arrive. The atmosphere: warm and relaxed, as if you were in Italy itself. Absolutely recommended for those who love authentic Italian cuisine.

Very nice place! Highly recommend going here if you like good pizza. Javier helped us tonight and the service was amazing. Had a good laugh and the food was great!

Last night, a colleague and I enjoyed a delicious pizza at your place in Laren, at a sloping table under the awning. The young staff are fantastic; charming, witty, relaxed, and generally pleasant to look at. Hospitality par excellence. If I were the chef at La Vespa, I'd be incredibly generous with these young, fun, and beautiful people.

A great atmosphere and excellent service. We started with a mix of various appetizers, followed by a delicious, light, thin-crust pizza. The only downside was that the Pinot Grigio from the limited wine list was gone.

Pizza not bad, but a little burned. 2 of the pizzas were sent back. Looked like coal. And new ones delivered. Service by young ladies with not a very high commitment nog to say none at all.

The food was good. Not very special, and they didn't have pasta, which was a shame.

Avoid if you are celiac and care for any type of decent service. Did not have gluten-free pizza dough, despite being notified during the reservation in addition to a follow-up call. During the call, La Vespa confirmed they would have gluten-free pizzas. However, upon ordering, we were notified they had run out of gluten-free dough. Brought the wrong bottle of wine and overall extremely poor and rude service from the dark-haired assistant manager.

We ate at La Vespa on a Saturday evening. It was very busy, but the service was still very friendly. The pizzas were EXCELLENT, the best we have had in years. Highly recommended! We will defintely be eating at La Vespa next time we are in Laren

A very cozy restaurant with a good atmosphere and very nice service. Unfortunately the food left something to be desired. I found the pizza tasteless, the tuna salad boring and the dessert was unimaginative but ok, you can't go wrong with a cake with ice cream. All in all not worth repeating even though it is a nice ambiance.

Good food for not too much. But unfortunately the food was not special. The bruschetta was simple, you could hardly taste the goat cheese on the caprina, melanzane a bit tasty. The sorrentina pizza was more like a pizza margherita. Maybe my expectations were too high. Because I did eat well. And the service is good.

The very best pizza from the wood-fired oven; you can taste the high-quality ingredients and the skill in and around the wood-fired oven. The appetizer platter for two is also delicious, quality on the plate. It's a pleasure! Thank you and see you soon! 👌

You won't find a better pizzeria in the Gooi than La Vespa Laren

Top pizzas, always delicious here.

La Vespa was always my favorite pizzeria. Unfortunately, this is the umpteenth time that there is hardly any mozzarella on the Margherita Verace pizza, even though I ask for extra mozzarella. Yesterday took the cake, I'm not going anymore. Very unfortunate.

Spontaneously walked in and what great hospitality! The pizza was ready in no time and tasted great!

Waited for over 1 hour, said they were making our pizza but never came. Bad service, don’t go.

Left before seating. They made us wait for 45 minutes and this is the second time. Never going back again. They just starch the restaurant full. There were already 13 people waiting to get a table.

Choice and chance determine everything here. One pizza crispy and tasty, the others (Tartufo, Salsicci) poorly topped, pale and not. The salad with artichoke was no more than a bag of dry arugula with some canned artichoke pieces. I would choose a different place next time

How lucky we were to have Javier as a waiter! His attentive service made our meal not only delicious, but a much more enjoyable experience. Always attentive, with a smile and ready to recommend the best dishes on the menu. Sometimes good service makes you appreciate everything twice as much, and that was certainly the case here. Javier not only helped us professionally, but also gave us that special feeling of welcome and appreciation. Thanks, Javier! Because when the service is good, the food seems to taste even better.

Amazing food, great vibes. Idk who did the interior design but they cooked, like seriously who let him/her cook? Open kitchen with the best pizza I had in a minute. Ps. Come with a full bladder because the bathroom in itself is a vibe, lovely smell, beautiful decor, unreal lighting, straight vibe. One of my favorite places. Just make sure to reserve, and have compassion for the servers since it does get busy ;). I don’t work here so yah not insider saying this!

Super friendly staff, great atmosphere- we got pizza and salad to go. Pizza was four stars, salad two stars - don’t know if they forgot, but both salads had no dressing, no oil, no salt or pepper. And the so called Mozzarella-Tomato-Salad was one Mozzarella with three or four very, very small cherry tomatoes - not really a salad!

We were tired and hungry, after a day of shopping in Germany, we dropped by unexpectedly. What a great place, great service, a very nice cozy atmosphere, and the pizzas were super tasty. Will definitely come back.

My friend and I had a delicious meal here! We first ended up in another restaurant that we felt less comfortable with, so we left and ended up here. Absolutely no regrets! We had a delicious meal and saw smiling staff members. (Delicious tiramisu!) Thank you for the good service from the staff and kitchen. We left the restaurant with joy.

You can skip bruscetta with tomato as a starter in our opinion: 3 small pieces of baguette is not worth the price. The carpaccio was excellent and so was the vitello tonato. Pizzas were delicious (the amount of arugula was quite a lot for most of them, both for the starter and the main course) But then; the staff ... we were served by, among other things, a boy who spoke so softly that I really have no idea whether he made a sound at all. He couldn't help but smile and walked/shuffled around as if he had to work there as punishment. Terrible. Very unfriendly and no feeling of welcome. no one asked if we liked it, no cutlery after the starter (we had to ask for it), we had to ask for the second drink ourselves, when we left no one said hello or thank you, have a nice evening, even when we said so ourselves. We went to get dessert somewhere else.

Pizzas are mediocre. Restaurant is OK. They really should add pasta to their menu! Missed opportunity.

"By Far" The best Pizzas in the Gooi. The staff is always friendly and up for a chat. The Ambience is very cozy and stylish. A lovely open bar, and for a little more privacy a few high tables where you can relax with a group and enjoy the food. Friendly prices for a wonderful evening of dining out. Highly recommended.

Very cute Italian place with a lovely design. Even the toilets are pretty and the food tasted awesome. It’s something you can only achieve in such a stone oven and we recommend the Italian ice tea ❤️

Pizzas are delicious! and the young lady serving was nice and ok. Furthermore, there was a girl with an excuse that it was her third day and a boy who served drinks and didn't really say anything. Find the staff better in Bussum...even with normal mouths that they talk to and are cheerful.

It's great for pregnant ladies to bake the Parma ham in the oven!

What a nice tent this is. Very friendly and neat staff. Service is nice and well organised. Food is really of a good standard. I'll start with the pizzas right away! What an unprecedentedly tasty bottom and edge these have. I have eaten pizza in many places but have never had this flavor on the bottom and edge before. Really delicious. Asked how and what and it seems to be something that takes x number of hours to rise. Pizzas are very richly filled and the filling is of good quality, you can also taste that. Lots of meat and cheese from Italy, really unique. Have eaten twice now and this is a keeper. The whole family will enjoy it here.

I have mixed feelings, we arrived and had to ask the chef if/ where we could sit. The place was empty but the waitress took a while to take our order. But once we placed our order the food came quickly. My husband’s pizza was delicious / mine wasn’t . I guess I choose incorrectly .( I got a white pizza ). The dessert was mediocre. The chocolate lava bomb was solid in the middle and the tiramisu was a 5 cm layer of whipped cream on top of a base layer that seemed to consist of 2 ( at most) coffee bathed lady finger cookies . Soooo in summary : pizza if you choose well delicious, service will depend on your waiter and dessert don’t waste the calories .

Me and my friends stumbled upon this place while looking for dinner. And the pizza’s were really good, only the service was lacking a bit. Unsure if they don’t have enough staff or if they just lack some training. Additionally, I ordered a “cheesecake”, however this was not a cheesecake. It was nice, however they should not advertise it as such and should rename to just a cake.

Gewoon elke keer een feestje om daar te eten.

Net als het restaurant in Bussum is het hier ook heerlijk pizzaatje eten! Leuke bediening, gezellige sfeer, snelle service, lekkere pizza's en prijs-kwaliteit is heel goed. Hier eet je nog een pizza voor een normale prijs in plaats van die overpriced zogenaamde hippe pizza tenten!

Heel gezellige tent. Bediening plenty aanwezig en doet ook echt z'n best. Pizza vond ik toch wat teleurstellend. Al onze pizza's waren erg nat en leken niet gaar in het midden. Jammer. Maar hadden we ook misschien iets over moeten zeggen. Helaas waren we beperkt in onze tijd omdat we hierna een feestje hadden.

In Laren zit een heerlijke pizzeria. Je kan lekker en gezellig zitten, de pizza's hebben een prima prijs. De bediening was vriendelijk en vlot.

Voor t eerst hier gegeten. Wat een aangename verrassing! In tijden niet zulke lekkere pizza’s gegeten. Desserts waren ook heel erg lekker. Snelle vriendelijke bediening en leuke ambiance. Wij komen zeker terug.

Jammer, eten was niet zo lekker, bediening wisselend vriendelijk, ene persoon was wel aardig, andere was vreemd kortaf? Wel hele leuke inrichting en een goede plaats gekregen.
