Shinsei Sushi & Toko in Laren

I haven't ordered sushi in Laren for a while; it was always a bit disappointing, and it's certainly not cheap. Not if you order your favorites, anyway. A box can be a bit cheaper, but it often contains a lot I wouldn't order myself. Anyway, I tried it again. It's a lot of money for a quick bite at home, but it's definitely worth it. Really delicious and fresh. Fast delivery too. A truly great experience. It's so nice to write a review like this. Enjoy!

After a while, I thought, let's try again. I placed and paid for an order online, promising to pick it up within 25 minutes. Within a minute, I received a message saying it would take an hour and a half. I went back to get my money. That really ruined my evening. But the woman on the phone said I should complain to the boss. "Well, boss, imagine having reserved a table, walking in, and being immediately told, 'Come back in an hour.'" Not very friendly.

We called to ask if we could order delivery by phone because we had a long day moving and didn't feel like cooking. Ordering by phone turned out to be no problem. We received excellent service from a friendly lady who was able to create a surprise menu for us, as we weren't sure what to order ourselves. This worked out very well, because after half an hour we were greeted with a delicious and varied, freshly prepared box full of goodies. We thoroughly enjoyed it and thoroughly deserve all the stars!

So the thing is, I used to order here all the time. But since a few weeks there is a new owner, and the menu also changed It was never known for consistent quality, and it was getting worse last year. Now with the new menu, and after ordering again knowing they changed a lot.... I'm just not ordering here again. At all. They were nice and all, very friendly, good customer service. For the amount of money, the quality is just not good. The taste is just.... Not it. It's just getting worse.

I like this sushi very much, it’s always delicious and fresh, I often order them with a delivery and it’s never late.

I have one favorite sushi restaurant, with sushi à la carte. In Hilversum. I have had sushi delivered by some popular names, but it was all disappointing. Tasteless. Tried it again tonight, because I didn't feel like cooking after a busy week. Shinsei; sounded good. And I am pleasantly surprised; the sushi looked and tasted fresh, the different ingredients were good to taste, the sushi was a nice size. Not cheap, but very tasty! Worth repeating.

Great and fresh sushi, usually fast delivery. If you order well in advance, they will be delivered on time!

Sorry but quality is not there. Maki cut extremely unevenly and poor serving size if fish. Need to rework the presentation 100%.

2 hours waiting!! And when you call, you hear that it just so happens to be going out. Uh huh. And as always, the weather was incomplete. 2 sushi types were missing. What food was available was otherwise good. Skip if you like a deal is a deal.

Hele goede sushi en geweldige service, de bezorging was iets vertraagd en we werden hierover netjes gebeld.

Goede service, nette bezorgers en heerlijke sushi!

Vaak te laat geleverd en bijna aelke keer iets vergeten dat vervolgens een uur later wordt gebracht! Sushi zelf is heerlijk, dat weer wel.

Goede kwaliteit, fijne service en hele lieve mensen! 10/10 recommend
