Sat nicely with a friend and her boyfriend and 2 year old son. We sat next to the cupboard with toys which was completely to the liking of the youngest!

I had a nice lunch with a friend. Very thoughtful that we were quickly shown to a free table outside. Lovely service by people who are disadvantaged in the labour market. Good that you give these people a chance. My friend thought there was too much garlic in the hummus. For me it could have been less. The solution was found in some extra herb sauce.

Country House in the City is a beautiful place to enjoy a relaxing lunch or dinner in the middle of greenery. The location is definitely one of the biggest advantages: an attractive, historic building in a quiet, natural environment, which makes you feel completely away from the city. The staff is friendly and hospitable, which certainly contributes to the pleasant atmosphere. The food is good – not exceptional, but fine (sometimes a bit flat in taste). The menu offers sufficient choice and the dishes are neatly presented. However, the service sometimes seems a bit disorganized. Different waiters come to the table to take the same order, which can be confusing. In addition, there was uncertainty about our reservation upon arrival. Even though we had made a reservation, we could not sit at certain double tables because they were said to be 'reserved' - a situation that did not feel entirely logical. All in all, Country House in the City is definitely recommended for those looking for a beautiful, relaxing location with a friendly atmosphere and excellent food. With a little better coordination in the controls, the experience would be even more pleasant!

Location is nice and food is great! Despite advance reservations, we sat at a high table at the coffee bar. It was a shame. This is a very noisy place with many people waiting for a free table and the waiters walking back and forth. Mss tip: always place pre-booked table reservations at a low table instead of guests who walk in without a reservation...

Delicious food (very fresh + tasty and perfect in quantity) and super cozy place. Also very friendly and genuine service. We occasionally had to wait a little longer for the dishes and drinks because the terrace was full, but if you are not in a hurry, that is not a problem. We will definitely come back here!

Beautiful pleasant dinner evening in the Landhuis.

Rented a room here for 2 mornings with a group of colleagues. Including 2x lunch and 1x breakfast. Very well organised. They take everything into account. Gluten-free other dietary requirements. They coordinate well. Lunch is creative, tasty and healthy, extensive, fresh products. The breakfast was also delicious. The hospitality and service are fantastic. And the location, atmosphere, appearance very nice, living room atmosphere, friendly, inviting

We had the 3 course menu. We were amazed by the quality of the food. The service was very helpful in making the selection. For me, the interior design didn't match the quality of the food. The facility was already showing its age.

When we arrived, there were only two spots left at the bar. That turned out to be perfect, because it allowed us to fully enjoy the great atmosphere between the staff. It was clear that they enjoyed their work, and as a customer that is just wonderful to see. Despite the crowds, everything felt relaxed and well organised. The dishes we ordered were delicious: a creamy pumpkin-parsnip soup, a tasty piece of frittata and a goat's cheese sandwich with a fresh salad. Everything was prepared with care and tasted fantastic. I couldn't even resist a second café latte, it was that good! At the end of our visit, an employee candidly shared that she has a "minor disability." However, for us it was not a limitation, but rather an extra quality, given how welcome we felt. Her warmth and professionalism made our visit even more special.

High tea was minimal, for the price, but in a nice location. Also no allergies were taken into account, which had been communicated. We later gave them adjusted food.

What a wonderful location, beautifully situated, delicious food and a wonderful atmosphere. We ended our cousins' day here wonderfully.

It used to be so wonderful here. We've been here dozens of times. But it is a victim of its own success. Much too busy, chaos in the service. Reservations are forgotten, orders are taken incorrectly. The stress can be read on their faces. They are doing their best, but this is not workable. It really takes the fun out of it a bit. Eternally a shame.

The food was delicious, and a vegan adjustment on site was no problem. Atmosphere is great, casual, all kinds of people 😇 mixed together. Several meeting rooms. Service by people for whom the labor market is not always suitable. In our case it took a bit long for the food to arrive, so that's why we give 1 star less for service. But highly recommended in a lovely spot in the city.

On a quiet Sunday afternoon we went 'pre-dinner' to taste. This year I want to have my birthday dinner at the Mansion. What (almost surprisingly 🙂) good food we found in this gem in the park. The food was delicious and of high quality: beautifully presented and good combinations (charred cabbage with beurre noisette and Wieringer beans and chocolate mousse with almond and ginger). They cook with love and you can taste it. The service is very nice. Even the dog was welcomed with a bowl of water. And, not unimportantly, the acoustics are even in order, so when it is busy there is not a lot of noise. In short, the Landhuis seems like a well-kept secret where the cooking is excellent. I'm already looking forward to my birthday dinner there!

Yesterday I participated in the “extending table”, what a beautiful concept! Enjoy a complete menu cooked by a guest chef from a specific country at long tables together with others. Yesterday it was a Bosnian meal. There were several varied dishes that you shared with your table companions. There was always a choice of meat/vegetarian, in addition to many tasty vegetables. Tip: I think the Landhuis would make a little (more) money if they asked more often if you wanted a drink....

Came here for an evening tea. It was all fun and atmospheric until I suddenly saw a mouse running past... after that I really couldn't feel comfortable anymore and quickly left. Hence 2 stars

Outside, it’s a peaceful retreat in the middle of a park by the canal. On rare sunny days in the Netherlands, it’s a perfect spot to soak up the sun. The service is quick, and the coffee and tea are excellent. As a local, I come here often—for breakfast, a slice of cake, or brunch. Whether you’re alone or with a group, this cafe’s charm and energy make it worth a visit.

Delicious, healthy and varied food for an affordable price. You are also not on top of each other, so you really have the space to chat with each other. The food also arrived quickly and had a wide range of delicious flavors. Price-quality ratio was really a big ten.

A wonderful environment and a beautiful building where you can relax. It is pleasantly busy, but the service is excellent and the menu is good! It is also very nice to be outside. Have enjoyed a delicious lunch several times now. That is the park lunch, which is served with varying dishes and is definitely worth repeating!! Eating at the Landhuis is always a treat. The food is surprising, the people are sweet and the atmosphere is cozy. As if you are joining the community living room. And through the windows you can see centuries-old trees and the water of Oog in Al park. Highly recommended!

Geweldige plek om dichtbij de binnenstad in de mooie natuur tot rust te komen en te ontspannen. Eten was heerlijk en divers, ondanks de beperkte kaart (om verspilling te voorkomen). Goed toegankelijk met rolstoel en gratis parkeren in de buurt. Ook leuk om met kinderen naartoe te gaan. Speelgoed en ruimte genoeg.

My favourite cafe in Utrecht. It’s perfect cozy place to be in winter and in summer. I would love them to add more food options. But overall still the best place to relax and unwind.

A beautiful location to go out for a nice meal. You can also enjoy a cup of coffee and a chat. Or when you go for a walk with your dog 🐕. Then it is a wonderful stopover.

Yesterday was the 4th time I joined the Extension Table. Every time a special experience and fun to talk to others in this way.

We enjoyed it very much! The food was delicious, the service super friendly and attentive, nice conversations and all for such a relatively low price. I have no areas for improvement :-) keep it up!

Went here for the first time the day before yesterday at Landhuis In De Stad for a date. Upon arrival I was allowed to choose a table myself. Unfortunately, no waiter came by, and I had to wait about 30 minutes (!) before I could order my first drink. Found this very strange; the restaurant was already starting to empty and there were enough staff. It didn't make me feel very welcome, and I don't know what the reason for this would have been (because of my look/clothing? Or because I was sitting alone and tables with more guests yield more profit instead of serving 1 guest?) After 35 Minutes a young woman with blond hair came to my table and said that I must have already ordered my drink. I replied; “No, not yet… I'm waiting for someone to come by” and she answers, “Oh, but then you have to raise your hand, but what do you want to drink?” In a friendly but at the same time know-it-all tone. At one point my date was there, and then a young man with curly hair came to our table and asked my date what he wanted to drink when he had only been there for 2 minutes. I thought this was very strange, because this young man also walked back and forth at least 5 times and must have really liked me. Then we ordered bitterballen together after my date raised a hand. Then the same young woman with blonde hair came to the table and said to me: “See, you can learn from that,” again kindly but with a strange sneer at the same time. I just find it very difficult to raise my hand in a restaurant and I'm just shy in public. Found this an unpleasant experience. And this could really be improved; a drink should always be on the table within 5 minutes instead of 30 minutes. To end this message on a positive note: the interior of the restaurant is very nice and cozy, it is nice and warm and the food tasted good. But the service was helpful towards me. Not nice. This all happened around 9:00 PM on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

Really my favorite place in Utrecht! Pastries are always good, service is fast and friendly. Now also had a delicious sandwich for lunch, large quantities. I am a really big fan of this beautiful location. Please keep it up.

Delicious lunch and pleasant service in the cozy country house.

Except for dessert and drinks, I was very disappointed in the quality of the food. I expected better. I consider the €143 I paid to be a waste of money, except for the euros for drinks and dessert. In the summer months I would like to come back for a drink and a snack on your beautiful terrace.

One of my favorite restaurants in Utrecht. And perhaps the only restaurant in Utrecht where you get a carafe of water and a sandwich on the table! Really great. Food is tasty, staff nice. Portion size is on the small side so I would recommend it with dishes. The only minor point is the desserts, which are sometimes a bit flat in taste.

Living room feeling! One of the most relaxed and friendliest places in Utrecht for coffee or lunch. Beautiful old country house in the park, close to the city (within cycling distance by public transport bicycle from the station, and also free parking nearby). Nice terrace, many vegetarian options, home-baked cake, delicious coffee and tea. Inclusive atmosphere (people with distance to the labor market in the service), which gives me a warm feeling as a visitor.
