We don't come here for the food, but for the surprising and excellent cocktails from bartender Emily. It's also nice that the specials are changed every few months. Recommended and our personal favorites: the Guavalicious and the Better than Cake (with sgittermagische cheesecake foam)

Delicious food, carpaccio sandwich for lunch. It's super fresh. Robin and Levay are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back here for dinner.

Nice restaurant with friendly service. Lunch was tasty. The sandwiches looked very tasty. Were also tasty:-) Price/quality excellent.

After asking for the entire meal to have a menu adapted to pregnant women and to have access only to a very limited number of suitable dishes, the dessert is served and consumed (indicated on the dark chocolate menu) in fact with raw eggs, not suitable for pregnant women (lethal for the fetus in case of Salmonella). Moreover, far too expensive for the quality and/or quantity of the dishes.

To be honest very mixed fillings. The interieur looks nice, but the tables were standing really close to each other so you had to speak loud to hear each other. We chose 3 course menu. And the portions were disappointing... (Unfortunately haven't made any pictures) We did get a tiny amuse - so that nice. But then for the starter we had scallops - it really looked like 2 pieces of scallops thinly sliced with some veg (so a tiny portion). At this moment we asked for some bread. Then for the main we got meat which was good, but not great, and there were not really any veggies or sides (except for mini piece of potato), so we had to ask for fries. And that all together really makes a negative impression.... Desert was tasty though.

We ate here in January. The food was good and the courses followed each other well in time. The portions are just enough. That's why I think the price is high. They were out of fresh orange juice and a glass of wine that was ordered only arrived after the accompanying dish had finished...The service could be a bit more cordial. I sat by the window and it was cold there. The restaurant is stylishly decorated. All in all my expectations were higher.

Ordered "Tulnedo" and it comes with plenty of vegetable and French potatoes. Very delicious and nice atmosphere with very friendly staff

Nice brasserie, beautiful high ceiling and cozy decoration. Service is smooth and excellent. And the food tasted excellent. The cocktails are highly recommended.

I had a party with Walking Dinner there and follow a special and animal-friendly diet. The chef has taken this into account, especially with the latter.

Bad experience, disappointing service Went to Marie Utrecht for lunch last Saturday. The interior is beautiful, but unfortunately the service was very disappointing. After 30 minutes we had to ask for a lunch menu ourselves, and even after an hour we were still not asked what we wanted to order. Ultimately we decided to go to another place. It was noticed that other guests had the same frustrations, some even had to wait 30 minutes to pay. This kind of service is really unacceptable, especially in a place that otherwise looks so nice. A major disappointment.

Very nice atmosphere and very good cocktails. However, the bar wasn't very busy that evening and we still waited almost 30 minutes for our drinks. The waiter forgot our order. Of course that can happen, but there was no “sorry” or anything. Therefore unfortunately only 3 stars.

Enjoyed a delicious 6 course Christmas dinner yesterday. It was fantastic. A minus point. The final espresso came with an ordinary coffee biscuit. That really includes a Bonbon.

Had a great evening here. Booked at the last minute while everything was full in Utrecht and surprisingly enough there was still room here. Very nice. Good cocktails, perfect service, interesting wine list and pairing with fantastic food. Very impressed and will definitely go back

Enjoyed it with a group of eleven people. Atmospheric ambiance in a nice location in a beautiful building. A warm welcome, great service and a fantastic four-course menu. And all that for an excellent price. Definitely recommended. Dietary requirements were perfectly taken into account.

Super nice restaurant to see, beautiful bar, nice environment. Acoustically noisy. We took the tomahawk dish, Thursday's specialty. We were politely told that it would take 45 minutes, which was fine for us. But the food was a lot of fat, little meat to eat and quite tough. Shame!

Very friendly staff and very tasty food! We stopped by on Wednesday for the Wednesday Fish Market. The portions were large and filling. The pumpkin soup was delicious, although in retrospect we might have shared one soup. Furthermore, the interior is very chic.

It looks good and has excellent Service. But the food is just deathly dull and eye-wateringly expensive for what it is. There is no passion, no wow, no magic, no surprise. The menu is predictable, and the plates of food are boring. It feels like a Hanos-sponsored, tired formula. Where has all the fun and surprise gone in eating out in Utrecht?

Price/food ratio search. Too expensive. Main course came to the table, we had to ask staff for plates and cutlery???? Desert; cheese board with Dutch cheeses, why did we have to ask why the waiter only mentioned Italian cheeses? Because they were NOT Dutch cheeses. 15 euros is a lot of money for those few small pieces of cheese. All in all, once and never again.

Sat on the terrace for over 40 minutes and there was no interest in serving me. But moves to the other side.

Beautiful and chic looking place, unfortunately that's all. Changing service, no permanent waiter, different languages, food expensive for the taste sensations and you have to persuade the service if they want to see you. The price charged is therefore expensive for what it is. It's bizarre that it has so many stars here.

Me and my friends came in on a Sunday, it was really quiet and we had the place to ourselves. Lovely atmosphere, great food, amazing drinks and lastly the staff were very kind and attentive! Would absolutely recommend and visit again!

Just stopped for an aperitivo and wow, this place stole my heart. Amazing cocktails, gorgeous ambient and furniture, like being in a movie. Staff is kind and professional, couldn’t love this more. Five stars.

This was a disappointment. The restaurant looks beautiful, but the large space is not sufficiently filled with people. The dishes from the chef's menu were tasty, but you can expect more from the service and service for the price. For example, the fries arrived when the main course was already finished, and there was no sharp knife with the meat, which made the experience disappointing. Very nice 'grand café', tastefully decorated, spacious and contemporary. Nice for lunch or dinner, but also nice for a pint.

An apparently attractive and chic restaurant. Nice English service, with an excellent understanding of wine. Portions are small, vegetarian option worthless. 3 pieces of ravioli served as a main course for €50… A toddler would cry at this dinner because he has to go to bed hungry. A mouse also joined us a little later, after which we felt completely uneasy. Management didn't seem surprised. Too bad, because the location and decor are beautiful. Taste of food is also fine. Potential not realized for me. Don't order a (vegetarian) menu here, it's a waste of your money.

Posh brasserie but beautifull scenery

What a beautiful, atmospheric restaurant! Very large windows and beautiful furnishings. The staff was very friendly and involved. When we indicated that we wanted to go for the 5-course chef's menu but would rather not have a cheese board, it was immediately suggested that an intermediate course was also possible. Absolutely great. We got a dish with asparagus. The food was delicious and with the beautiful tableware it looked very tasty. A nice red wine was recommended with the duck main course. Top choice. Highly recommended for a fun evening out. A restaurant definitely worth coming back to.

Good menu with beautiful cocktails. Stylish interior, a real 'Grand café'! Informal but classy. Excellent, beautiful location, in the heart of Utrecht within walking distance of shops, cinema, station, etc. Friendly service. Will definitely go back!

Charming place with a beautiful interior. Small menu with limited choice for lunch. Price/quality ratio for the dishes is okay. No creative highlights, but the appearance of the interior makes up for this.

Nice restaurant, bad food. Normally I don't review restaurants that are disappointing, but this called for an exception. The vegetarian main course was greasy, tasteless and dry on the inside. The service was not interested. No compensation on the bill. We left quickly and had a nice meal elsewhere.

Good food but very bad service, not up to the level of the food. Also quite expensive for the whole experience. They charged tap water and a 9%tip on the bill without any other option.

Everything here is perfect from the food to the staff including the interior! I've been here before for lunch, dinner and drinks and I always walked out feeling like a civil servant. See you soon!

It looked beautiful. But a very limited menu. No brown bread, only white. Nice English speaking service. Not a place to go again.

We had a wonderful night. I’ve experienced 3 main courses chef’s choice and my wife had alacart options. Every course and each wine were explained. It is hard to remember every detail but i can say every new plate was better although prior one was perfect. The level cooking level and softness of Cow Beef and the pistachio ice cream with crunches were those which left most impressions for me. On the other hand. My wife was happy too. The carrots of short ribs were legendary. The last special thanks to also kind waiters. We felt very comfortable and special during the whole night.

Beautifully designed restaurant in the centre of Utrecht in the immediate vicinity of Utrecht Central and the Hoog Catherine shopping centre. I was there for a business dinner and we had a predefined three-course menu. The dishes were beautifully presented on the plate, definitely worth a photo, and tasted excellent. The only downside was that the menu was low in carb, only half a slice of bread was served as a "carb". As a result, I left still hungry. However, the menu had a selection of filling dishes, so our choice was obviously something special. The restaurant is located in a large hall, as a result the noise level is quite high. I can only recommend Grand Bar Marie for a business dinner and would go there again.

Excellent, trendy restaurant located at Mariaplaats 14 in Utrecht. Spacious and bright ambiance in Parisian style. Wonderful to visit with a limited number of friends. The food and service are excellent. Recommended.

The most beautiful store in Utrecht !! I was impressed by the space and the fantastic atmosphere of Marie's, you rarely find such a well thought out space down to the last detail. I didn't try their food but the sweets I ordered along with the drinks were very tasty. The service is very kind and fast. Kudos to the owners and staff for this store that would stand out in any city in the world!!

The building is historically beautiful, spacious, high ceilings, beautifully decorated. We had to wait a long time for everything, the soup of the day was mushroom soup, it was way too salty and only broth, without any content. Bread without butter and croutons, certainly not worth €8.50. Our neighbors had brioche with salmon, which looks like two white salmon sandwiches with a poached egg and sauce for €14.50.

Had dinner with a group of 15. The food was delicious (we had a 4-course chef's menu). Beautifully served and not too much, not too little. Add a wine pairing or cocktails and your great evening is ready. Personal is really super friendly and can arrange everything at the last minute. Recommended!👍

Een stijlvol restaurant met een heel mooi, chique interieur. We hebben hier heerlijk gegeten van verfijnde gerechten die lokaal worden geproduceerd. Dit zie je terug in de prijs, voor een goedkope hap is dit niet de beste optie maar de prijs kwaliteit verhouding was zeker goed.

Gisteren de állerlekkerste sandwich steak tartaar ooit gegeten! Mennnn wat heerlijk. Lekker smeuïg, fantastisch op smaak gebracht, zoet zure groenten en het zacht gegaarde eigeel… mmmmmm. Wat een heerlijke smaakjes. 1 mini minpuntje: brood had net iets royaler van formaat gemogen. Maar ik ging mega gelukkig de deur uit. Het kan dus nog mensen, goede kwaliteit en goede service. Ik kom terug!

Afgelopen week heb ik samen met mijn vriendinnen echt genoten van een heerlijke avond uit! Vanaf het moment van binnenkomst werden we hartelijk verwelkomd en genoten we van uitstekende service tijdens ons diner. De cocktails waren absoluut een hoogtepunt en een absolute aanrader!

I visited Marie with 7 friends and we had the absolute best time! We were a bit earlier and the staff were very accommodating and provided us with a table anyway. The bites were to die for and the cocktail selection was excellent! We all ordered the chefs menu which was delicious (i recommend ordering a portion of fries with it as well ;)) I would most definitely come back again!

Lunch op zondagmiddag. Gerechten werden tegen het koude aan geserveerd. Rechttoe rechtaan.. geen opmaak of finishing touch. Het eetcafé op de hoek zou hetzelfde kunnen serveren. Teleurstellend. Kantine sfeer. Wij komen hier niet meer terug.

Went here for drinks and a nibble. Ordered the ‘3 cheeses’ from the bar menu: got 3 small pieces of mediocre cheese, 3 small slices of bread and some compote. For 12 euro a total rip off.

Heerlijk ontspannen vrijdagavond met het 3 gangen chefsmenu. Incl wijnarrangement. Sit back and relax. Mooie zaak ook.

遅めのランチで訪問。週末にもランチメニューがあるのが嬉しい。 モレッティおじさんの傘の下で、サーモンとタルタルを頂きました。スモークサーモンは2枚のトーストに分厚くたっぷり、そこに半熟卵2個載せ…原価割れしていない!?と思うくらいボリュームがありました。タルタルはペースト状、そこにペコロスやラディッシュのピクルスが合わさってさっぱり。どちらもとても美味しかったです。 店内も素敵な雰囲気でした。

We have been to Marié a few times, mostly for lunch. They offer some tasty choices, like the poached eggs in brioche bread with hollandaise. However, the service could be improved, and it would be nice if the staff were more friendlier.

Had a nice company dinner here. The surprise menu was delicious, the cocktails too.

Nice atmosphere and unique food!

Ik heb hier gegeten met een collega. Dit is een oud pand vd heren sociëteit in Utrecht. Maar nu met heel fraaie inrichting, goed en fantasievol eten, en mooie wijnen. De bediening was relaxed en erg vriendelijk. Een aanrader om eens te gaan eten. We gaan zeker nog eens terug..

Super mooi restaurant met hele vriendelijke bediening. Je voelt je enorm welkom en ook het eten is een echte aanrader
