Le Barrage in Wijk 01 Centrum

We're from The Hague and wanted to try a different kind of meal. We ended up at Le Barrage, and what a pleasant surprise! The restaurant looks beautiful, and the terrace is nicely laid out and partially covered. We chose the chef's four-course menu with a wine pairing. The sommelier is very knowledgeable about wines and can talk enthusiastically about the wines, the houses, and the regions. We're only used to this at really expensive restaurants, and this restaurant certainly isn't expensive. You can choose your own cheeses for dessert from the wine/cheese vault (it's in a former bank building). The cheeses were paired with no fewer than three dessert wines. In short, a very pleasant experience and definitely recommended.

We had a delicious meal yesterday at the end of our wonderful day out. It met all our expectations! Thanks again, and we'll definitely see you soon.

We were warmly welcomed and escorted to our table. The service was excellent, and drinks arrived promptly. We opted for the 5-course menu, which was superb; every course was delicious. Rutger, the sommelier, and I chose three pairing wines, and they were also excellent. When we asked if we could slow down the pace of the service, they said no problem! The restaurant, both inside and on the terrace, is beautifully decorated. All in all, we had a wonderful experience, and we will definitely be back!

At Le Barrage you are always in good hands. Whether you sit outside on the terrace or inside the restaurant, the atmosphere is always nice and cozy. The quality of the food is stable and reliable, and the price-quality ratio is excellent. The staff is friendly and makes you feel welcome. Le Barrage stands for quality and hygiene. What I always find important is the toilet area. It is always clean here, smells fresh and everything has been thought of.

Our evening at Suhsui was simply fantastic! We were lucky enough to get a beautiful outdoor seat in the cozy courtyard. The combination of fresh air and the stylish atmosphere made the evening perfect. The food was delicious and prepared with great attention to detail. We were particularly impressed by the variety of dishes and the fresh ingredients. The service was attentive and friendly, making our stay even more enjoyable. An all-around successful evening that we thoroughly enjoyed and would definitely recommend!

Had a fantastic evening! Had a super nice spot outside with a view of the water and the courtyard. Were with 6 people and chose to share sushi and snacks. Everything was really great, especially the sushi and really recommended to go back! The service was fast and friendly and made us feel at home. We sat there almost the entire evening and we will definitely come back soon!

Slechter dan slecht. Kok was ongetwijfeld met vakantie. Kwaliteit van eten was triest. We hebben met 3 personen voor €200 gegeten Koude gegratineerde oester, die na terugsturen naar de keuken opnieuw koud werd uitgeserveerd . Een volledig doorgegaarde eendenborst waa4 menig liefhebber tranen van in de ogen krijgen. Wij kwamen hier heel regelmatig maar nu niet meer.

We ordered chateaubriand for 2 people. Was (sliced) served on an old-fashioned plate bare. We got a pastry plate to eat from. I think our choice is not shared dining. So it was very disappointing.

Very mediocre and disappointing experience. Attracted by "Best terrace in the area". Location and interior are the only two positives I can name. Sushi was below standard. Prices above the quality and taste of the food. Service consistently disappointing on several levels. Not to be repeated. Even if I were paid for it.

Beautiful restaurant! Been there twice now, both times not impressed by the food and the wines. Sommelier was not friendly, a real blowhard. The waitress was very friendly, but could not answer any of our questions and did not ask. In terms of entourage it is really beautiful and nice to sit, but the price quality is not in proportion.

Nice restaurant, went for Father's Day with 7 people high prices with only a few starters, 3 main courses and 2 desserts (80 euros pp). For example, it took a very long time before we got some bread on the table, after asking. Oysters that had a kilo of salt, were replaced and would not be charged but still charged. Pasta that was tasteless... In short, a shame, but I don't know if it was due to a busy Father's Day afternoon. Paid a lot of money for the food and flavors that we got.... No second time for us!

Haughty place and super unfriendly. We were not allowed to park bikes with luggage at the back of the restaurant. We wanted this because our luggage was all in there and there was no space for bikes at the front. We got the answer that parking bikes there was bad for their image. I would say stay away.

Als we voor het reserveren de reviews hadden gelezen, waren we zeker niet gegaan. Jammer, want dan hadden we zeker wat gemist! Wat een mooie entourage! We werden zeer gastvrij ontvangen. De bediening was super vriendelijk en snel. Het eten was HEERLIJK! Zelfs de DJ deed zijn uiterste best om een goeie sfeer te creëren. Alles TOP geregeld, een echte aanrader!

If we had read the reviews on Tripadvisor before booking, we would definitely not have gone. Too bad, because we would have missed something! What a beautiful setting! We were welcomed very hospitably. The service was super friendly and fast. The food was DELICIOUS! Even the DJ did his utmost to create a good atmosphere. Everything was TOP arranged, highly recommended!

We wanted to have dinner, and when we checked the reservation system, all the time slots were available, so we didn’t make a reservation. When we arrived at the restaurant, they told us there were no free tables and refused to seat us. After a long discussion trying to understand their approach, they finally agreed to give us a table, but by then, it was too late. It was one of the worst restaurant experiences (in terms of client relations) I have ever had in my life. They displayed an arrogant, conceited, and disrespectful attitude. Someone who looked like a manager came over, asked what was the problem, and then walked away without even giving an answer. I've never experienced such disrespect in my life.

Been here before, the food is of excellent quality. Let it surprise you. It is a beautiful establishment and the service is attentive and everything with a smile. Everything is great, unfortunately the Barrage in the middle of the establishment has put a, let's call it a DJ. Look, you can argue about the choice of music, but the sound was so loud that conversation became impossible. And that while eating is a social activity. And the sight of the DJ was sad, a cocktail drinking man, who apparently did not enjoy it. No, for us it disturbed the evening. But possibly fun for younger people. Too bad, for a potentially top evening.

On a Monday very annoying and unpleasant helped by a lady who totally and clearly had no desire to give us a nice morning and serve us nicely. Much too expensive pastries (desserts) served without nice treatment. The first question when we came in was whether the caps and hats (it was a cold day at the time) could be taken off. The coats were also not allowed, which I understand for the appearance of the place, but we were the only guests. 🫢 Instead of welcome and how is your day? Very nasty treatment and atmosphere. Actually I should have said that she could eat the pastries herself and I would go to the bakery and then eat it in a more pleasant place. Couldn't manage a smile. Full of herself or just very insecure (of course that is also possible if you can disguise it like that). So I prefer to go to Boris with nice young people who know how to give someone a nice experience, than to fatten le barrage even more in my own backyard. I understand that people like to experience what it is like to eat "culinary" here and that it is the hotspot of Alblasserdam. But you don't make me hot or cold with it. Especially not when you are helped like this and are some kind of number and are looked at on appearance. Because if you are allowed to be completely overdressed and overdressed for Monday morning, you will probably be carried on hands and feet? No idea. But in any case it is certainly not a business card!

Wat een heerlijke avond bij Le Barrage! Vanaf binnenkomst viel de mooie stijl en warme sfeer meteen op – modern, stijlvol en toch gezellig. De service was top: vriendelijk, attent en professioneel. Het eten was fantastisch: verschillende soorten vlees, prachtig bereid en geserveerd met smaakvolle groenten en garnituren. Alles tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Als afsluiter genoten we van een heerlijke koffie en een verfijnd dessert. Le Barrage is echt een plek voor een avondje uit waar beleving en kwaliteit samenkomen. Wij komen hier zeker terug. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fortunately, I don't agree with the lesser reviews. Despite the fantastic weather on Saturday afternoon, I was still able to get a table unannounced. No problem if you are alone (unfortunately that is not self-evident). Also no problem that although I am wearing trousers, quite a few color pictures are visible above. I have a jacket with me, but that's no problem. I am helped quickly, I delay for a while, it is seen that I am ready to order. A young employee, remarkably friendly, neat and personable. The food arrives quickly. The Gin Tonic actually has gin. The food is almost even too much. Delicious. I see hardworking young staff who clearly care about the customer, and I am not looked away despite my concerns. Quick visit, not too large an order. I would sincerely like to come back here. I like to go to star restaurants very often and I am used to some service...

Deeply disappointed. I reserve a table a week in advance. Come from far away, and then you come in and they want to politely take your coat. Then it is said that unfortunately there is no more table. And we have to wait at the bar but, they don't know how long it will take. We just went somewhere else. Never experienced such bad service in a restaurant before

We zijn onvriendelijk ontvangen, het eten was slecht, vlees was niet te doen zo hard, droog en oud wat ze touredos noemen. De bediening was uitgeblust. Als klapper op de vuurpijl wildeen we de ballonnen waarvoor we 25 euro betaald hebben, een setje van 4 heliumbalonnen en een klosje meenemen en buiten werden we staande gehouden, het klosje van 20 cent mocht niet mee, werd afgeknipt en de dame in kwestie liep de zaak weer in met het klosje. We hebben 2.000 afgerekend voor 13 personen (verjaardag) , 180 euro fooi gegeven en je wordt aangehouden voor een klosje waarvoor al teveel betaald is. Ons zal je hier niet meer zien.

After all, the idea behind the catering industry is to pamper guests, and that certainly happens with the quality of your kitchen. Unfortunately, the temperature and the journey through the restaurant is a different story. I understand that some guests would like to sit outside, but creating a drafty environment by opening all doors opposite each other for staff to easily walk in and out of the service goes a long way. This is not the first time I have experienced this with you, which is a shame. This Easter lunch with my parents was very special for me, and because my father cannot catch a cold, which can have serious consequences, there was little understanding from the staff. There was even irritation because no table could be found without a door closed, even though I had clearly indicated that this was important when making the reservation. I hope you take this feedback to heart so that other guests can have a more pleasant experience in the future. Listen to your guests in the restaurant and look how many people are having lunch in the restaurant with a jacket on, isn't it special?.. 👍

Great restaurant. Trendy and chic. Beautiful dishes, delicious food, excellent staff, but the evening took a nasty turn: before dessert was served, the entire family mouse 🐭 ran under our table... very unappetizing. Especially the idea that the tables are already set in the evening and that mice therefore have free rein on the tables. After we were sent a dress code in advance and were not allowed to hang our jackets on the chair during dinner, these mice did not really fit in with the chic ambiance! And the waitress's response: Oh well, that's what happens when the doors are open during the day! Uhhh..?? You understand, we no longer ordered the coffee, but enjoyed it in a mouse-free home...

Well-known address for a tasteful dinner in an attractive interior. Yesterday we had dinner on the terrace, it was a "late lunch". It was a very mediocre experience, both in terms of service and dishes. T started with waiting endlessly to be able to order something. First a bottle of wine and then after waiting about 15 minutes the sommelier asked if he could order a starter. This happened, after which we ate a delicious starter. It's a pity that my party was served much earlier. Once again we had to wait (far too) long to order main courses. Management was simply poorly organised. My tenderloin was supposed to be medium/rare but was actually medium/well done! Because I didn't want to end up eating a new piece of meat...I ate it anyway. The meat was definitely not great either! Then we had to wait another 30 minutes to get the attention of the waiter to order dessert. Complained twice in between and was told that it would be taken up with the kitchen and manager. Unfortunately I heard nothing more about it and just left...... With this experience, this restaurant is no longer recommended. Very disappointing how this was handled by the wait staff.

Bekend adres voor een smaakvol diner in een sfeervolle inrichting. Vandaag gedineerd op het terras. Was een "late lunch". T werd een zeer matige ervaring zowel qua bediening als qua gerechten. T begon al met eindeloos wachten om iets te kunnen bestellen. Eerst een flesje wijn! Daarna na ca 15 min wachten de sommelier maar gevraagd of hij een voorgerecht kon opnemen. Zo geschiede en was een lekker en smakelijk gerecht maar wel jammer dat mijn gezelschap veel eerder opgediend kreeg. Wederom (veel te) lang wachten om hoofdgerechten te kunnen bestellen. Bediening was gewoon slecht geregeld. Mijn tournedos moest medium rare zijn maar was maar net medium....... Omdat ik niet achteraan wilde eten met een nieuw stuk vlees toch maar opgegeten. Vlees was ook geen topper!!!! Toen weer ca 25 min wachten om nagerecht te kunnen bestellen. Tussendoor 2 x beklag gedaan en werd medegedeeld dat het zou worden opgenomen met de keuken en leidinggevende. Helaas niets meer van gehoord en maar weggegaan. Niet meer aanbevelenswaardig!!!!

Le Barrage is a wonderful place to eat out. The atmosphere is always pleasant and both the food and cocktails are of top quality. In the winter garden you can sit a little more quietly than inside, while the atmosphere there is just as good. Yesterday we were served by Samantha, who helped us friendly and quickly. Her service was excellent and added to an enjoyable afternoon. Definitely recommended!

Nice place in terms of atmosphere and location. Very disappointed that the vegan bitterballen (also stated on the menu) are served with a non-vegan sauce. What is the reason for putting this on the menu as vegan? Sloppy. Only found out about this after we specifically asked about it after the waiter called them "vegetarian". He didn't know. If he could just ask the kitchen, only to find out that the vegan dish is not vegan at all. The response didn't really seem to be a problem. This could have dire consequences for people with allergies.

Een mooie zondag in de serre, 3 personen de gegratineerde oesters, allemaal koud, zelfs de schelp was ijskoud. Gemeld , zou doorgegeven worden, niets gehoord, de kibbeling van Dorade, er werd zeer getwijfeld aan de versheid, op het randje. De coquille was ver te zoeken, ondefinieerbaar prutje. De Sushi rol was lekker en de wijn ook. Voorlopig maar even niet!

After having a delicious meal once before, we will never come here again. We were turned away at the door for what looked like sweatpants. Barrage is now one customer less. I certainly won't recommend it to friends and family if you are treated in such a way. A real disappointment and degradation of something that was once beautiful. There are nicer places to eat and I would recommend that to everyone.

Here they get it! Fantastic service, friendly and polite but also pleasant. It was very busy but the pace was good. Delicious meal outside on the terrace. Clean toilets. Also thought about people in wheelchairs.

Had a fantastic evening!!! Had incredibly delicious food, we were surprised by the chef. I can recommend this to everyone. All dishes were delicious, good portions, nice presentation. In addition, very surprising combinations of products and flavors. The wine pairing matched the food very well and were all very tasty. The sommelier could tell a lot about the different wines, not only the taste of the wine, but also the background of where the wine came from. We also really liked the cheese cart with appropriate explanation. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant. Service is very friendly and knowledgeable, beautiful location and very nice decoration. I have eaten in star restaurants before with varying experiences. And although le Barrage is not a star restaurant, this restaurant is certainly star worthy!! I can recommend everyone to come and eat here.

Location is beautiful, interior is incredibly beautiful. Due to lactose intolerance, I unfortunately always have to be extra alert, which is why I indicated this under dietary requirements prior to booking. As a customer it is always very nice if this can be taken into account. Unfortunately, this was a bit disappointing at Le Barrage. For example, vegetable butter could not be served with the roll in advance and when I asked for a mix of sushi, but without the sushi that contains milk, the waitress seemed to have little understanding. When the sushi was served, it was not indicated which sushi it was, so 'taking a chance' I ended up eating it. Not a nice way. The sushi is of very good quality and very tasty.

We komen hier best vaak vanwege het heerlijke eten, de klantvriendelijkheid en de gezelligheid. Ook serveren ze de heerlijkste wijnen bij de gerechten! Topservice!!

Delicious food. Good atmosphere.

Wij komen al jaren maandelijks bij dit restaurant en hebben altijd een goede ervaring gehad, maar deze keer viel het helaas tegen. Mijn moeder en ik bestelden een glas Ultimate Provence rosé (€9 per glas), een wijn die wij goed kennen. Tot onze verbazing was de kleur donkerder dan normaal en de smaak totaal anders – niet de zachte, verfijnde rosé die we gewend zijn. Hoewel de wijn aan tafel werd ingeschonken uit de juiste fles, zagen we bij vergelijking met een ongeopende fles duidelijk kleurverschil. Toen we dit aankaartten, werd er gedaan alsof dit onmogelijk was. Dit gaf ons het gevoel dat er wellicht een goedkopere rosé in de originele fles was overgeschonken, wat natuurlijk niet de prijs waard is. Jammer van deze ervaring, hopelijk wordt hier in de toekomst beter op gelet.

Heerlijk gegeten in dit mooie restaurant. Prachtige inrichting, een mooie kaart en goede bediening. Wij aten Dorade en steak van het huis. Erg lekker, ook de toetjes.

Echt super slecht! Prachtige ambiance maar daar is ook alles mee gezegd. Twee uren op ons voorgerecht moeten wachten, bijpassende wijnarrangwment sloeg nergens op want dat kwam een half uur voor de gang. We hebben het toetje niet eens afgewacht. Alleen de patat was lekker.

I have eaten here several times and it is very tasty, not too much, not too little, good wines.

Aankomst 2e kerstdag om 17.45u , met gezelschap en andere gasten tot 18.00u wachten tot de deur open ging. Eenmaal binnen werden we naar de 2e etage gedirigeerd, het leek wel de kantine van een voetbalclub, Niet gedekt, geen Kerstsfeer. Het voorafje bestond uit bakjes, die men met 4 pers. moesten delen, kwaliteit zeer slecht, bediening had er duidelijk geen zin in, werd niets uitgelegd, hoofdgerecht bestond uit een bankje met een paar plakjes ‘taaie’ entrecote, zeker niet van de slager, voor 20 personen 4 kleine bakjes met frites, verder geen sidedishes. Frites bij besteld, duuuuuuurde, kwam pas toen het dessert werd gebracht. Dit dessert bestond uit een tableautje van zo’n 15 cm, de bedoeling was dat dit wederom met 4 pers. Moest worden gedeeld, de kinderen hadden het snel door en deelden met z’ n tween, hoe dan ? Om kort te zijn een verziekte avond, stel voor om de naam veranderen in ‘Blamage’ Komen hier nooit meer terug ( spreek hier voor 14 volwassenen)

Super food, great atmosphere but sometimes a bit pricey

Boxing Day, reserved for 20 people. Arrived 15 minutes early with several guests waiting outside until the door opened. We were directed to the 2nd floor, like a canteen of the local football club. No Christmas atmosphere, table set etc. The starters consisted of bowls from which one had to spoon one's portion, very unclear. Quality was mediocre, service clearly didn't feel like it. Clearly understaffed. With the main course, tough entrecote, certainly not from a quality butcher, no side dishes (vegetables, etc.) 4 small containers of fries for 20 people. Ordered more fries, it took a while, everyone was ready and then 3 more trays of fries arrived. Dessert was served on a saucer, but the saucer was intended to serve 4 people. This was not told and the children happily ate the bowl together. What a downer. This was our first and last time in restaurant De Blamage.

Met z’n 5’en een etentje met vrienden. De jassen werden op een hoop gegooid en we kregen achterin, voor de schouw een tafel. Mooi punt om door de bediening vergeten te worden. De persoon op de hoek van de tafel kreeg constant lijfcontact door het langslopen van personeel/andere gasten. Irritant! Kregen we de kaart, dame noemde de hoofdpunten, voorgerechten staan links, hoofdgerechten rechts, menu’s onderaan etc. Alsof we kleuters waren. Toen kwam er een “meisje” de bestelling opnemen. Wij zijn het eens dat iedereen het moet leren maar houd er dan wel toezicht op. Totaal geen notie. Uitleg over de menu’s kon niet gegeven worden, daar kwam weer een derde persoon voor, met uitleg…10 minuten later. Vervolgens vragen hoe de vis gebakken moet worden….aiaiai. Lang verhaal kort, de entourage is op zich prima, de 6 personen personeel die wij aan de tafel hebben gehad, verre van kundig en totaal niet begaan. Wel aardig overigens hoor. Het eten ging wel maar de prijs/kwaliteit was niet in verhouding?! Was €90,- kwijt! Alsof ik een **lunch had genuttigd. Daarbij hadden we zat te bepraten onderling maar wat hebben wij lang moeten wachten en moeten vragen om aandacht. Die aandacht van het personeel misten wij niet alleen maar ook de heren toiletten, wat een zooi! Daar werd helemaal niet naar gekeken. Wat wij misten is leiding. Het geheel was niet georganiseerd. Hoe dan ook, onderling hadden we het leuk maar de volgende keer zeker niet meer bij Le Barage.

Dit restaurant kan niet waar maken om glutenvrij en lactosevrij diner voor te schotelen. Ondanks bij de reservering duidelijk gemeld, ging het in de sloep al mis. De gluten- en lactosevrije hapjes stonden tussen de gewone hapjes. Zoek zelf maar uit, werkt uiteraard niet. Dus toegekeken hoe anderen heerlijk aan het eten waren. Na 2 uur varen, wat overigens erg leuk was, kwamen we in het restaurant voor het hoofdgerecht en toetje. De keuze voor gv en lv is erg beperkt. Personeel slecht geïnformeerd. De chateau briant is wel gv, maar is voor 2 personen. Aangezien er niemand anders was, krijg je deze niet voor 1 persoon. Om het ze makkelijk te maken, heb ik gevraagd om een stukje rundvlees zonder marinade en zonder saus en een bakje sla. Makkelijk toch? Helaas, ik kreeg een bord met rundvlees zwemmend in de wijnsaus en 2 groene asperges. Dit uiteraard terug gestuurd naar de keuken. Daarop volgde een bord met 1 stukje vlees en geen groenten of iets anders erbij. Zelfs mijn tafelgenoten vonden dit erg beschamend. Het toetje was wel perfect. Complimenten hiervoor. Kom ik nog een keer? Ik denk het niet.

Unfortunately it was disappointing, the quality of the food does not match the price. Ate here a while back and it was fine. Price-quality ratio is skewed.

I took the 4 course menu but it was not really surprising or special. Management knows not really good at what they serve and also lacks some interest. Our expectations were higher at these prices.

The food was delicious, the service at the table unfortunately left much to be desired. Not paying attention to empty glasses and/or empty plates. When we left there was no one even to say hello. The arrogant attitude of some of the staff really bothered us. When you charge these prices, I expect better service. There are better alternatives available.

Upon entering, the welcome is warm. The jacket will be handled and you will receive a receipt. We were placed at a table for 6 (despite a reservation). The seats were very tight. Within 5 minutes a second couple arrived. We asked for another table and after some back and forth talking there were much nicer places available. We found this an incomprehensible action from an otherwise good restaurant. Hence the 3 for the service. I mean, you don't spend 172 euros every day to eat good food, so you can be put in a nice place as a GUEST. Greetings. Dick

Restaurant La Barrage offers an exceptional dining experience! We had the pleasure of enjoying their sushi and seafood, and it was truly top-notch. Places inside are nice, but loud due to the music and buzz of people sitting very close to you. Terrace is not exactly attractive with uncomfortable chairs. Starters are highly recommended, but don't miss the main courses or desserts. I have always found the sushi too expensive for what you get (also in terms of quality).

Barrage, a checker, a match or a barrage. In Alblasserdam you get it all. Reception: nice ladies take the time to welcome you. No butting, just taking action, which clearly shows that the staff is well trained. Purpose: we wanted to have a drink and a snack on Saturday before dinner starts. No problem, two seats at the bar. Bar: polite, polite staff with knowledge and attention to the customer. Bok beer and a nice Nolet gin and tonic. Charming and prepared with care. Food: a snack of Vegan Gyoza. Nicely served, perhaps a little hotter would have been better, although (when writing the review) I thought that “too hot” might have affected the taste. 60-70 degrees serve for appropriate consumption. It was a delight for the tongue. Coupon: €33 for two beers, gin & tonic and gyoza. The atmosphere, service and quality are absolutely in balance. Conclusion: Le Barrage gives its customers good reasons to come back. So see you soon😀

Ossenhaas smaakte naar uitgedroogde tennisbal. Patat bestond uit kleine harde restjes onderuit de zak. Bao bun was teleurstellend gevuld met gefrituurde garnaal die bestond uit veel paneer en weinig garnaal. De wijn was heerlijk echter : bodempje wijn voor de schappelijke prijs van 8.50( een fles kost 12.50). Conclusie: te duur voor gebakken lucht. Thuis gelijk aan de maagbeschermer!

Meerdere keren genoten van kwalitatief goed personeel en goed eten. Vandaag moesten wij het personeel attent maken dat we wijn wilde bestellen na al een poosje een leeg glas op tafel te hebben! Als er dan een medewerker aan tafel komt en je zegt dat je graag iets wilt drinken moet je Zelf om de wijnkaart vragen. Op dat moment komt er iemand bij in een ander pak om te vragen wat je wilt drinken.. oké besteld vervolgens eten besteld en gevraagd naar extra groente dit kregen we maar wel rauw! Ik geef het mijn konijnen op deze manier. Vervolgens onze glazen leeg, en onze fles wijn staat een tafel verder dus zelf op gestaan om wijn bij te schenken! Voelt niet oké. Nog een dessert besteld wat ook niet echt uit de verf kwam. Dus vele malen echt goed gegeten maar kon vandaag echt beter! Dit kwam niet doordat het heel erg druk was… hopelijk volgende keer beter.

Dit restaurant kan zich beter toeleggen op Sushi, deze is namelijk uitstekend, er is een goede wijnkaart daar is ook niets mis mee, maar de chefs in dit restaurant hebben geen idee wat ze aan het doen zijn of de vleesleverancier is een bijzonder slechte, ondanks een eerdere slechte ervaring waar tot 2x toe de Chateau Briand op versleten schoenzolen leek toch maar weer eens geprobeerd, 3x ossenhaas voor €30,00 p.p. medium done besteld maar bij het doorsnijden leken het wel hamburgers en dan ook nog eens van slechte kwaliteit, ik kan in de buurt een betere hamburger aanraden. Mijn commentaar bij de bediening kwam niet verder dan "ik kan daar niets mee" ik sluit mij aan bij een eerdere recensent die adviseert om deze tent niet meer te bezoeken.

The weather was nice so we sat on the terrace and ordered a glass of wine and a cocktail. The cocktail never came. Finally...sorry it took a bit long, but the colleague from the cocktails was taking a break! Why don't you report this immediately when someone orders? Then you can possibly take something else! It will be later in the afternoon (5 p.m.). The sun no longer shines on the terrace and there is a breeze. My husband is in poor health and he wants to sit indoors. I ask if it is possible for us to order our menu and then go inside. Uh.... that's only possible when the staff is there and they can't say what time that is! I approach another waitress and she reports that only the terrace is open tonight due to an overview. I would like to mention again that due to my husband's health we would like to sit indoors. She goes to report it and comes back: we can take another table where heather can sit! We're going to try, but unfortunately the wind is blowing there too and we decide to pay and leave because we CANNOT sit inside. What a disappointing approach and no hospitality at all! They won't see me again here!

Ate with 4, the food was tasty, the service arrogant and annoying. Every question was too much. This has an incredible impact on an evening where we spent 500 euros. We filed a complaint because we prefer not to complain online, but never received a response to the complaint. Certainly not worth repeating for us.

Very tasty food, super friendly staff. Everything was right. We were able to see the wine collection of the extremely friendly guest who served us. Was great. Greetings from us and from Dachshund Joep.

Besides the fact that the sushi here is delicious, we have now had the tastiest desserts ever for the second time. The Cheesecake (nice and light, not too sweet), Bread & Butter and the spring bee (sweet but very special). And the heated terrace with a view of the Alblas completes the picture of course.

Very nice place on the canal. Unfortunately, neither the service nor the cuisine was there that day. We waited 1 hour between two courses and it was rather average (but not the prices...).

Wat een aanrader dit restaurant. Mooi gelegen aan het water. Binnen en buiten gezellig. Aardige bediening én heerlijk eten.

In het kort ......Niet bezoeken. RedenenPrijs/kwaliteit. Je wordt te woord gestaan door iemand die een pak moet dragen en je van alles beloofd wat wij vroegen ( mijn vrouw heeft een dieet) kwam allemaal goed,maakt u zich geen zorgen. Nou echt niets werd geregeld,dit aangegeven bij de serveerster die alles serveerde die ging op haar beurt weer verhaal halen bij haar haar collega in het pak en die gaf haar de boodschap mee dat dat kon gebeuren,hijzelf nam niet eens de moet om zich te veronschuldigen,sterker nog we hebben hem niet eens meer gezien want dan had hij zijn borst nat kunnen maken. Serveerster wist zich geen raad met de hele situatie. En geloof het of niet twee tafels verder gingen er twee mensen volledig uit hun dak omdat ze zeer ontevreden waren. Die werden even apart genomen om hun beklag te doen. En als klap op de vuurpijl,de tafel naast ons deed hun beklag over de geserveerde sushi. Het was onze tweede ervaring,de eerste op een doordeweekse dag was prima. Deze keer was op een zaterdag en dus een regelrechte aanfluiting. Wij zaten boven en de al geplaatste opmerking over de te harde muziek die van beneden kwam is echt terecht. Het is ook een tent van gezien en gezien worden,meer ook niet. Voor ons dus NOOIT meer,en kwalificeren hem bij deze als middelmatig Frietkot.

Just had a drink and something to eat, which was doable but not worth repeating at all because of a lady from the staff. Disgusted and super unfriendly, doesn't look at you at checkout, doesn't say anything else and walks away. This is not at all motivating to eat there again, which we had planned to do. A waste of our money and the 6 euro tip she received. Arrogance at its finest there, a great shame for such a beautiful tent.

We came for dinner with 6 people on July 20, it was very hot and everyone had to sit outside. Because there were not enough staff, almost everyone sat outside except for a few tables that were inside, of which one was still available, but they did not offer it to us🥲 We had a very pregnant woman with us and were placed in the middle of stiff smokers. Indicated that we did not want that and were taken to the side where 1 table was standing apart, less pleasant, but everything to avoid sitting in the smoke. With the first drink, one of us was thrown in the neck with a full tray of Rivella and beer, which was picked up quite sportily by this soaking wet person. What really disappointed me was that no gesture was made of a free drink or a free coffee afterwards. After all, the person has been in a soaking wet dress all evening. What also happened is that you can't actually put anyone in that spot, because you are constantly exposed to the stench of the wheelie bins that are behind that remote table. I just want to let you know. This was our 2nd visit and the food is excellent, but this was not a nice experience!

The Caesar salad was a disappointment. The chicken thighs turned out to be kibbeling-like fried lumps of dough in which you had to look for a piece of chicken... Furthermore, mainly lettuce leaves floating in the salad dressing. Considering the price, I expected more. I asked for a salad without croutons, for convenience my girlfriend didn't get any croutons either. Very sloppy.

We went sailing with Le Barrage and ordered some snacks and drinks. These are priced as if you get it served as in the restaurant but in the end you get plastic takeaway containers containing the food. For this price, a little more effort could have been put into this and could, for example, be served as a nice snack board. Disappointing.

Had a super nice experience on 26-07-2024. First we sailed with a sloop from here to Kinderdijk. Various drinks snacks were taken on the boat. Then had a nice meal. Delicious dishes and very good service. Recommended
