Legato in Wijk 00 Centrum

We ordered two portions of pasta and one portion of shrimp salad. The pasta was severely overcooked and had turned mushy. The salad was very small and contained only five shrimp. It was a dining experience that was not worth the price we paid.

I have eaten in many restaurants, both here and abroad, but I have never experienced a waitress sweeping while guests were busy with their hot meal! It wasn't even closing time yet, and even so... this is extremely rude and, moreover, unhygienic! I asked her to stop. After ordering, the food arrived super fast and it was clear it came out of the microwave. The Pollo y Verdure was lukewarm at the edges of the plate and scorching hot in the middle; it was swimming in oil there too, yuck. It was very salty, just bad food for the price you pay. It was my first and also my last visit. "Trattoria legato" means "restaurant with a permanent bond"; they certainly didn't manage to "bind" me.

There were three of us, and we all ordered pasta, plus shrimp. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing in terms of quality and absolutely unappealing. When the bill arrived, we were charged an extra €8.90 per person for five shrimp, which we could accept. However, an additional €2.50 was charged for cheese without any prior notice, which we found completely unacceptable. In total, we paid about €30 per person for a plate of pasta that was utterly unappealing. Furthermore, communication with the staff was very difficult, and we found the waiters to be unfriendly. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Ordered a cola. It arrived tasteless, without a bottle, and then charged €4.60 for a small glass. Not recommended.

A really cool restaurant! The food, drinks, and especially the coffee were delicious. I can highly recommend Legato if, for example, you want to have lunch while shopping.

2025.11 🍎 Three stars for the food. The waiters really made me feel like my meal was delaying their departure. The raw beef and truffle salad was very delicious and the portion was generous. The truffle flavor was very strong 😋 The drinks were small bottles and not cheap.

We were just passing by and saw that they had pizza — and of course, pizza is always a yes. Unfortunately, it had pizza only in name. The dough was so thin, overbaked, and completely tasteless that we couldn’t believe it. We literally tried to eat it just because the price was €19–22 per pizza. I honestly think this restaurant urgently needs to learn the real meaning of pizza. Shame.

Totally disappointed with our visit to Legato in Roermond. Upon entering, we were immediately told that we only had 10 minutes left to order, with a look as if we weren't actually welcome. This was despite it being only 19:50 and them closing at 21:00. We therefore quickly ordered a salami pizza and a pasta carbonara. After about ten minutes, we received the food, but it was completely wrong: the pizza was correct, but my girlfriend received a pasta with scampi that we hadn't ordered. When we pointed this out, the waitress immediately started arguing and claimed she had heard "schampi" instead of "carbonara." She walked away visibly irritated and shouted loudly to the kitchen that a new pasta had to be made, which could be heard throughout the entire restaurant. Five minutes later the carbonara arrived, but both the pasta and the pizza were tasteless and absolutely not worth the money. We spent €50 for two simple dishes and two Cokes. Truly a worthless experience. We will never come back here.

We went on Tuesday, November 25th, and we both got food poisoning. We ate pizza and salad around 2 pm, then went back for coffee and dessert around 5 pm.

Unfriendly service, expensive and poor quality

Worst pizza I've ever eaten! For €20, I got a pizza that was worse than any frozen pizza from the supermarket. Inedible – I couldn't even eat half of it. And there was absolutely no service. Never again! We paid €75 for three dishes and three drinks – absolutely outrageous for such poor quality.

The salad was a complete disappointment – ​​it looked like it came straight from the Aldi shelf, carelessly presented, and completely overpriced. There was absolutely nothing to it in terms of taste, just sad. For that price, I expected significantly more freshness and quality. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it.

Very expensive Pizza not so good

I had a puccia gorgonzola and a hot chocolate. It was delicious, rich, but not too rich.

By far the worst food I have tried. I had Arabiata. This was like a bad joke. By far the worst arabiata I had. Seriously, if you consider to eat in the outlet, try something else.

A disgrace for a restaurant. We paid €15 for a clearly frozen pizza, straight out of the box, with absolutely no taste or presentation. The €19 arrabbiata pasta was just as inedible; it tasted like a can of food reheated in the microwave. When we politely pointed out that it wasn't good and was surely mass-produced, the waitress was incredibly dishonest, arrogantly denying the obvious. No self-reflection, no sense of service, and certainly no honesty. It's expensive, bad, and dishonest. Avoid this place if you value real food and respect for the customer. Even one star is too much. To top it all off, we got sick… coincidence??? I think not!!! €67 for three people for frozen food

!! Avoid at all costs !! If there would be a way to give it zero stars I would, by far the worst service I have seen at any outlet or place in general. Just a couple rude girls with a manager that supposedly is not available while he walks through the back door. Some more examples of their horrible service, I was prepared to buy an ice cream and also pay for the horn as that was their “policy” but wasn’t aloud to have it on a plate bc I don’t eat horns. Mojito which we ordered was almost without alcohol, while costing 11 plus euros while they are out of Bacardi cans at like 2.50 NOT MADE BUT OUT OF A CAN! Mint tea was with old leaves half of it dark already. I feel they get good reviews because they have so many clients. When you actually decide to sit inside and pay for something you see their horrible service for what it is. Avoid at all costs.

€73.50 for three plates of pasta and a sparkling water! So, around €20 for my carbonara with bacon from the supermarket! What a rip-off, this place is a disgrace! Only the service manages to redeem the bill. Personally, I'd be ashamed to work for these people.

The café itself is quite nice, and everything was fine up to that point. There were three of us, and we each had several cups of coffee and some ice cream. Unfortunately, it was rather annoying that the waiters were constantly buzzing around us or standing right next to us – as if they were just waiting for us to order more. This really spoiled the relaxed atmosphere. A little more discretion would have been much more pleasant.

We just walked away from this place — I’ve never been treated like this before. Service ok. €20 for a small pizza, €17 for a children's portion of pasta. Nothing special, you won't get full, the value for money isn't right at all. At least it was nice to sit outside.

I’ve been to many outlets across Europe, and this was by far the worst restaurant experience I’ve had. The service was so poor it made me want to give zero stars. I asked if they could provide hot water for someone who can’t drink cold beverages. The waiter asked if I wanted tea. I said just hot water was fine. In the end, they charged me €3.95 — the full price of a tea — for a simple cup of hot water with a cheap biscuit on the side. It honestly feels like a scam. At the very least, this should have been explained in advance. When I ordered pasta, the waiter asked if I wanted cheese. Again, only when I saw the bill did I find out that it cost an extra €2.50. There was no mention of this unless you specifically asked or checked the receipt. Legato, if your staff don’t want to explain options to foreign customers, then please write the prices clearly on the menu. This kind of hidden charge behavior is unacceptable.

The portion sizes are extremely small and in my opinion the price-performance ratio is not right. I wasn't really full at the end. Another surprising point of criticism: There is no children's chair! I went with my mom to this cafe yesterday. Everything seemed to be fine and the food was normal. But two hours later I felt pain in my stomach. My stomach has been hurting for 2 days now, most likely poisoning. I only had breakfast in this establishment, the next meal was only in the evening. I suspect that the problem was in the Sandwich, since my mother took the apple strudel and everything was fine with it. I don't recommend it

Worst pasta ever eaten at Legato, pastas with sauces seem to come from a can. Really not tasty. Way too expensive for what it is, no piece of bread with your pasta and you have to pay 2.5 euros extra for cheese. Not worthy of the name Italian. The service leaves a lot to be desired. Very careless and no desire to work. Bags of cutlery were pushed onto the table, we had to take it and distribute it ourselves. Never seen it in a restaurant. Paid way too much for the bad food and bad service. Once but never again. Roermond village is great for shopping, but go eat somewhere else.

Yesterday I was in Roermond with my sister-in-law and actually wanted to eat there. But when we saw the prices on the menu, we walked out again. Way too expensive.

They were not freshly made pizzas, it seemed that they had been heated in the pan with a lot of fat because the bases were very greasy. We didn't even eat half of it. When we paid we were shocked, we had to pay €58 for 2 pizzas, a spa red, a coke and 2 coffees.

The most expensive takeaway coffee I've had in Europe. This place sells a cup of coffee made from a button-operated coffee machine for €6.10. Very reasonable price! It might even have gold dust hidden in it.

It is an unnecessary and ugly business where you bring non-carbonated beer and when you return it, only one of them is deducted from the system and then says that one of the beers you returned is normal, all the tables outside are dirty, all the ashtrays are dirty and full.

The price-performance ratio is absolutely not right here. We ordered “Pane” (freshly baked bread with olive oil) for €6 and we received two small pieces of flatbread that had a little bit of olive oil on one edge. That's it. We also ordered a Margherita pizza for €15.50. We received a pizza drenched in oil, hand-made, nothing to see or taste, and definitely not worth €15.00 in terms of taste. It's best to simply save yourself the visit.

The food was moderately tasty. The drink menu is limited. I even gave them more points. The main problem is the service and service. Our baby was outside in the sun and we wanted to open the umbrella. The waiter told us that the umbrella next to us was broken. He said that the other umbrellas were also broken but he didn't even believe it himself. If you need, be aware that all the umbrellas outside the restaurant are broken. We also asked for a baby chair and we were told that you can go and get it yourself. I understand this to some extent, but the umbrella issue bothered us.
