Beautiful decor, service does its best and is appreciated. Food is substandard. Is ok, but little taste, little Italian herbs. Tasteless in relation to the appearance. Too much pasta in relation to other ingredients such as meat and fish. Fairly fresh but bland. Maybe at the wrong time here.

We had a great meal here, friendly service. But we thought the tables were too close together, you really couldn't discuss anything with each other. We didn't like it

Three stars for food, service and atmosphere. Three stars feels like 'not quite', but it is certainly not intended that way. Let me start with the service. The staff was certainly friendly and attentive, but really limited themselves to the bare necessities. It was a shame that we were not told which aperitif we were drinking, prosecco, that was clear, but nothing further was said. The bottle of red wine 'No Name' is a bottle with a funny story behind it. It is that I knew the story so that I could tell it to my companions, but a brief explanation from the staff would have been nice. Once again I am not saying that the service was not good, but with just a few extras they could easily raise it to 4 stars. Then the atmosphere; it was definitely pleasant. It is a beautiful monumental building that is tastefully decorated. This creates a nice ambiance and good atmosphere. Finally the food. The food was good, I can't say anything else. Yet there comes a but..... The dishes are anything but large. Because the menu is designed for 3 courses, there is a risk for larger eaters to still be a little hungry after 3 courses. This is due to little garnish, etc. It is a shame because we ate really well, but would have liked some extra. The quality of the food deserves 4 stars.

What a nice and beautiful restaurant. Had wonderful wines and delicious food. We had communicated the Christmas dinner in advance. Very good and friendly service and top quality food. A cozy and warm interior. Nice detail with the tree in the case. No problem for a larger group. There were about 15 of us and we were all served neatly at the same time. Just a successful evening.

Stands head and shoulders above the other Italian restaurants in Roermond. Quality and portions good. Staff friendly, and you are always sheltered in the narrow street. Only comment, the map is quite compact. Perhaps it is an idea to continue to 'surprise' returning customers with a seasonal special or something similar

Since da Mauro was taken over by these sad horns, the entire atmosphere has changed. Bad reception, no manners and certainly not recommended to give a euro there. Read the reviews carefully before you come here!

At first glance this seemed like a better Italian restaurant. This was also evident from the menu. My starter looked very nice but unfortunately the taste was a bit bland. The main course was a tasty pasta, but too pricey for what you get. Unfortunately the service was not good. A very quiet employee served us, the water was not poured for us (as I expected in a slightly more expensive restaurant) and our first bottle of wine arrived at the table already opened. Pouring a glass of wine also did not go well, the wine cooler was dirty and one of the starters had not been passed on to the kitchen. The location is very beautiful. Although the food was fine, I expected more from the overall picture.

2 staff members said they worked at a star restaurant. I hope they believe it themselves. There was nothing wrong with the food. Fortunately, there was salt and pepper on the table. I'll try again in a year. Good luck 🍀

We sat down outside for dinner. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. Molto Bene!

We were there on Sunday because of the good reviews and the location, because it's really pretty there! The taste of the food wasn't an explosion, but it was ok. Unfortunately, shortly afterwards my friend got sick with gastrointestinal illness and has been lying flat for 2 days and that just doesn't work at all!!!!!! He had tuna stuffed tomato and the veal! I strongly assume that the meat was not good! Advise everyone not to eat anything with meat here! It's best to avoid it altogether, because apparently no one pays any attention to it!

What a disappointment. Appetizer panzanella con burrata; Looks nice, but the taste; tasteless. Dressing completely substandard (oil only) no salt/pepper. Literally every salad at home tastes better. Main course tagliatelle al ragu; small portion, pasta was clearly not home made. Sauce too little and basic. Again, literally every pasta at home has more flavor. The parmigiano on top was the only flavorful thing. Way too expensive for what you get. Pretentious without substance. Didn't see me again.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The environment is beautiful and the food is delicious. They have a variety of wine.

No Service for people in sportswear

Mwah.... Both food and service. It just wasn't it. I had the fish pan, which was just overcooked and had little taste. Expected more. Location is attractive (except for the nasty smell upon entering) Price/quality could be better!

Upon entering we already received a look from the employees: "What do you need now?" It's not very inviting here, but otherwise it looked nice.

Cozy and very attractive restaurant. You can see that a lot of thought has gone into the design. The number of dishes on the menu is clear and the quality of the food is excellent. The staff knows the menu and accompanying wines well and provided the right tips. Enjoyed from start to finish. Highly recommended!

Good food, nice atmosphere, nice wines

Ambiance and atmosphere in the restaurant are top notch. Service, however, mediocre, but friendly. They contribute nothing to the experience of the evening. Prices tend towards those of a top restaurant, but that's not it. The food was tasty, but wouldn't necessarily come back. It took a very long time for plates to be cleared from the table and we were rarely asked if we wanted something to drink. There was more than an hour between two courses. For the money I expected a bit more and would rather choose to eat somewhere else next time.

This restaurant has recently changed owners and unfortunately it shows... the location in the center of Roermond is excellent and the interior is cozy. However, upon entering there is a strong sewage smell, which may be due to the heavy rainfall The menu is very limited. We opted for the bruschetta as a starter, which was tasty, but you can't go wrong with that. As a main course the beautiful looking but tasteless cannelloni. The other main course was linguine Aglio e olio which was very tasty but far too little to be a nutritious main course. The desserts were also mini portions. You went there hungry, you were 80 euros poorer and you left hungry again. The staff was also overloaded and checkout took 37 minutes. In short, definitely eat out in Roermond, but skip Terra Nova if you are hungry.

Imagine yourself in Italy for a moment. Enjoy delicious cuisine in a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended in Roermond.

Delicious food, very friendly and attentive service, reasonable prices. Not a super extensive menu, but there is something tasty for everyone. Reservations necessary. Recommended and definitely worth repeating!

The service is slow and the waitresses are very rude and uninterested. Meu i was not in English but only the guest at the next table requested to help and they were surprised by the indifference and rudeness of the waiters. The cook was attentive and good. The food was also delicious. However, the service took away all our enjoyment.

The impression is given that it is a classic Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, this atmosphere cannot be felt. It is quite lacking in atmosphere and too expensive for what they bring. The food is already reserved while we were still enjoying the olives and an aperitif. It was also a pity that the waiter was wearing sneakers with white soles, this together with the chilly room and the narrow table arrangement (too close to the neighbors) was somewhat disappointing. Reasons enough for improvement.

Wanneer je binnenkomt in het restaurant voelt het gelijk heel sfeervol. De bediening is erg vriendelijk en vooral het eten is ontzettend lekker en mooi opgediend. Ik kom hier zeker terug en kan iedereen die van de Italiaanse keuken houdt aanraden om hier keer te gaan dineren!

Kleine kaart maar daardoor is het eten subliem. Je smaakpapillen zijn hier in volle gang. Genieten van eten, welke met veel passie is bereid. Fijne bediening, straalt rust uit en veel persoonlijke aandacht ondanks dat restaurant vol zat. Wanneer wij mog eens in de buurt zijn, komen wij zeker terug. Echte aanrader!

Eine Begleitung hat die Cola über das Kleid geschüttet bekommen und dazu waren im Essen harte Stängel von Rosmarin.

Tijd geleden ben ik hier gaan eten met collega's, aangegeven dat het voor mij glutenvrij (coeliakie) moest en in een woord WAUW!!! Overal werd rekening mee gehouden, iedereen wist ervan, alles werd goed uitgelegd en ook apart geserveerd. Er was zelfs een speciaal nagerecht bereid voor mij die de kok persoonlijk bij mij kwam brengen en omschrijven!! Een geweldige ervaring! Nog nooit zo vertrouwd ergens gegeten! En natuurlijk HEERLIJK!!

In een leuk steegje en mooi gebouw,daar is Terra nova 👍, inrichting is mooi en gezellig! De bediening en ontvangst waren prima! Vriendelijk, professioneel,... . Het eten ook mooi verzorgd en lekker van smaak. Zeker de moeite om eens langs te gaan 👍de prijzen zijn misschien wel ietsje hoger,maar dat kon het genot van alles niet bederven 😃😉👍.

Genoten van het hele plaatje! De vriendelijkheid bij reservering. De ambiance. De bediening, je "proeft" de passie waarmee gewerkt wordt. Mooi om te zien en te ervaren. Het eten, voortreffelijk, een smaaksensatie! Kortom, een verwennerij! Voor ons een etentje met een speciale reden. Mede dankzij jullie is het nu een mooie, lekkere, waardevolle herinnering geworden! Früher hieß das Restaurant da Mario, jetzt terra nuova. Das Ambiente hat sich total verändert, ist aber noch genau so gemütlich wie früher! Der Service im Restaurant außergewöhnlich gut und überst freundlich. Eine Reservierung ist notwendig und empfehlenswert, damit man einmal dort gegessen hat!

Amazing atmosphere and decor on the inside, food was very good but nothing wow. The service was attentive but the food took a bit long. We ordered 5 different dishes and were all good.

Very good option in Roermond with authentic Italian cuisine. We had the carpaccio, the pappardelle with ragu and the green vegetables linguini. Everything was delicious and cooked according to the Italian tradition. No cream at sight. Plenty of good quality olive oil. Good selection of wines with reasonable prices. To top it up, the restaurant deco & atmosphere is really nice, you almost feel that you are in an old renaissance house in Florence. Service is kind and efficient. Super recommended !
