Delicious food, great wine, good service and pleasant atmosphere

Very noisy and messy. Side dishes were forgotten in the first round, and when you confronted the staff about it, they dismissed it with a smile. Even in the last round, a drink was forgotten. When the dishes and drinks were brought, you could still see an empty spot or something missing. It happens the first time, but here, it consistently goes wrong. Mistakes I'm not used to, without any form of apology or compensation. The same dish also looks different when ordered twice per course, which is quite unusual. The flavor is also lacking. A very disappointing experience. According to the waitress, two dishes would be enough. We're in the Netherlands and the food is good. I was more satisfied with an amuse-bouche.

We had a delicious surprise menu. The kitchen had created something truly special. The service was very friendly and helpful.

Yesterday, at the food event at Ruimzicht in Doetinchem, I also had a LEV dish. It cost: three tokens for €3.50 each, and €10.50 for this small tablespoon of coconut rice with a little meat. What a ridiculous price for this bowl of food. Not exactly inviting to eat at LEV...

Surprising ambiance and delicious food

We had a wonderful meal! Every course on the menu was delicious, and the wines, along with the superb service, made the evening complete!

Really great experience! We had a 4 course menu and everything was super tasty, with very good flavors. The asparagus soup was really the highlight. It was busy and the waitress clearly had a lot on her mind, but she remained super friendly. Really well done – highly recommended!

Nice meal. The dishes are not very large, so you order multiple dishes.

Het eten was voortreffelijk, gastvrouw was verschrikkelijk. De afgelopen tijd meerdere keren bij LEV. gegeten. Het eten is werkelijk fantastisch – creatief, smaakvol en met zorg bereid. Complimenten aan de keuken! Helaas is er een groot minpunt dat onze ervaring heeft overschaduwd. Tijdens beide bezoeken viel het gedrag van de gastvrouw op. Een jonge, vriendelijke dame in de bediening werd zichtbaar en hoorbaar terechtgewezen, op slechts een meter afstand van onze tafel. Het hele restaurant kon meegenieten van deze ongemakkelijke situatie, wat zorgde voor een gespannen sfeer. Bij ons laatste bezoek gebeurde exact hetzelfde. Wederom kreeg dezelfde serveerster een uitbrander in het bijzijn van gasten. Begrijpelijk dat haar houding aan tafel daarna veranderd was – ze kwam gehaast en zakelijk over, terwijl ze de vorige keer juist zo hartelijk was. De gastvrouw zelf stond even later vrolijk te praten bij een andere tafel, maar aan de onze was ze kortaf en ongeïnteresseerd. Het is jammer dat zo’n sfeervolle plek met uitstekend eten wordt overschaduwd door een gebrek aan professioneel leiderschap en respect richting het personeel. Dat doet echt afbreuk aan de beleving.

Dishes look great, beautifully presented. They are small portions. You may have an opinion about that, but it was fine for us. However, what is striking again and again is the tense attitude of the hostess. It seems unpleasant and indecent. She seems constantly worked up. The other waitresses were correct and friendly, the hostess can learn something from them! A real shame, because after all you are going to have a bite to eat somewhere to relax.

This is simply fantastic. We had the 10-course lunch, delicious.

Op zondag van een geweldige 10 (!) gangen lunch genoten. Alles was lekker en sommige gerechten waren superlekker! Ik ben een echte vlees- en viseter maar mijn favoriete gerechtje was toch echt vegetarisch. Complimenten voor de chef! Wijnen ook heel erg lekker. Gewoon meteen een fles water op tafel. En dan de bediening. Zij maakten dit feestje helemaal compleet. Heel attent, alert en vriendelijk. Je voelt je echt welkom. Het was een hele mooie zondag :)

Beautifully decorated dishes, tasty

Telefonisch gereserveerd, daar werd ik aangenaam te woord gestaan. Bij aankomst wederom een vriendelijk welkom en onze jassen werden aangenomen. Naar de tafel begeleid, daar stond onze naam op het welkomsbordje. Heel origineel, een mooie vondst. De verrassing van de chef was een heerlijke reis van smaken, zorgvuldig en compleet uitgelegd door de jongedame en jongeheer. De hapjes waren van een chique formaat, maar we waren na afloop heerlijk verzadigd. Super genoten, zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Rik en Marinda

Top service, food and customer service top notch, if I could give ten stars I would.

Chef's choice menu: you get 4x 2 mini dishes with a choice of fish or meat.... However, the chef makes a choice from the 15 available variants. Very bizarre and undesirable. The scallops I (explicitly) requested turned out to be a major disappointment: I got about one fifth of a whole specimen... other portions were also laughably small. Real star restaurant allure in terms of the amount of food..... also likes to boast of being mentioned by Michelin in price/quality ratio. Perhaps the reviewer was drunk that day..... All in all a nice mini tasting at a mini table. Additional wine can be served at a hefty surcharge per course.... amateurish but friendly service... just in jeans and sneakers..... With drinks €70 per person. Duration of visit: 60-90 minutes.... A one-time visit because not exactly worth repeating. Definitely more to discover in the culinary field in the area.

Wij zijn hier met Kerst geweest, met 5 personen. Het was een hele grote aanfluiting. We werden bij aankomst niet echt warm ontvangen, bij de opname van de drankjes werden we al gevraagd of we patat bij het hoofdgerecht wilden?? Andere tafels kregen vooraf een broodje aangeboden, daar moesten wij na het voorgerecht zelf om vragen?? Het hoofdgerecht was zo weinig dat we 4 zakken friet nodig hadden om een beetje voldaan gevoel te krijgen. Wij hadden aangegeven dat er 2 mensen vegetarisch wilden eten, maar toen wij aankwamen was daar helemaal niets voor gemaakt. Ze zouden dan wat meer groente op je bordje doen....waarschijnlijk 2 spruitjes meer?? Ook het personeel had er helemaal geen zin in. Er was geen ontspannen sfeer, ze waren letterlijk aan het rennen terwijl de bedrijfsleidster niks deed en alleen maar stond te praten met 2 gasten naast ons.... Door die onrust werden de borden bijna over tafel gesmeten / geschoven, we moesten het tegenhouden om het niet op onze schoot te krijgen. Al met al was het tempo ook veel te hoog en vroeg een van de bediening tussen het hoofd en na gerecht of het tempo zo goed was of dat het aangepast moest worden...beetje laat. We kwamen om 18 uur voor een gezellig kerstdiner en we werden er om 21.15 uur uit gewerkt. Ze waren zo luidruchtig en zichtbaar alles aan het opruimen om ons heen en achter de bar, dat was niet leuk meer. Ik heb over onze ervaring een bericht naar LEV gestuurd, maar helaas nooit meer iets van gehoord. Vandaar dat ik dit nu zo doe. Voor ons NOOIT meer.

The food was tasty, but not much for what you paid for it. But the service was downright unfriendly and clearly irritated when we did not understand the menu. We were also corrected when we said a word incorrectly. We won't be coming back here again.

Had a delicious meal here prior to a visit to the theatre. Atmospheric setting and the fish of the day and roasted celeriac were superb! The wines were also tasty. Service very friendly. If I am in the area again I will come back!

We had a delicious meal last week when we spent a weekend in Doetinchem from Hotel Boutique Villa Wanrooy. Opted for the chef's menu, 4x2 delicious surprising dishes. Friendly and attentive service, nicely decorated. Absolutely recommended.

Spontaneously had dinner at LEV tonight. No problem and hospitable reception. A beautiful table on the balcony. Delicious bottle of Rosé. Chosen the carpaccio with foie gras. For dessert raspberries, white chocolate with ice cream and curd. Finished with a delicious Irish coffee. Always warm, attentive and enthusiastic employees. Great evening.

4-gangen chef’s menu gekozen. Heerlijke verrassingen geserveerd gekregen. Per gang twee kleine gerechten, eentje warm en eentje koud. De bordjes en schaaltjes zijn stuk voor stuk prachtig opgemaakt.

What an experience! The food was just amazing . The chef is creative and came up with a 4 course vegan menu that was divine !

Zo hoort het. Wat een feest is dit. Applaus. Eigenaresse Marlon mag trots zijn op haar team. Bas is een top Chef en top Jesper. Iedereen wist wat intolerantie betekende, wat nachtschade is en dat letterlijk nog nooit meegemaakt. Heerlijk eten. Leuke en verrassende kaart. Chef weet het gewoon. Echt heel goed. Water werd meteen op tafel gezet en bijgevuld. Fijne warme inrichting. Muziek staat niet te hard. Vriendelijke medewerkers, ter zake kundig, netjes en beleefd. Jas werd netjes aangenomen. Goede stoelen. Aanrader. A must see in Doetinchem!

That's the way it should be. What a party this is. Applause. Owner Marlon can be proud of her team. Bas is a top Chef and top Jesper. Everyone knew what intolerance meant, what nightshade is and literally never experienced that before. Delicious food. Nice and surprising card. Chef just knows. Really very good. Water was immediately put on the table and refilled. Nice warm decor. Music is not too loud. Friendly employees, knowledgeable, neat and polite. Jacket was neatly accepted. Good seats. Recommended. A must see in Doetinchem!

A real experience where attention to the guests was number 1. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the wine, but the added value really came from the nice staff. Where waiter Simon took us through the evening in a fun way with an attentive catering ear, so that we were not short of anything. On the way to the hotel we said to each other: "Luckily there are still places where everything just works."

To start with the food was excellent however the service was the opposite. I have never felt so unwelcome anywhere. We were put in a corner between unpacked boxes, even though there was enough space to sit comfortably. The lady serving was very rude and we had to wait more than 20 minutes for the bill while everyone in the restaurant had already been helped. Perhaps the staff could be given a lesson in customer service.

Delicious dishes! Not too large portions, but culinary delights! Especially the "chef's menu" highly recommended. Also an excellent beer list and delicious wines. And... extremely friendly and helpful staff. Top restaurant!

Best Restaurant in Doetinchem! Really lovely food, highly recommend the surprise menu for dinner - EVERYTIME! 4 courses with 2 small plates per course - 1 hot and 1 cold. They use really nice ingredients and the dishes are always presented beautifully. All the staff are so great as well. They are super welcoming, they know their stuff and are the perfect mix of available and not being all over you. The setting/vibe/atmosphere of the restaurant is also perfect. Nice and relaxed but still feels like there is a buzz about the place. I go here way too often! and have a great experience every time ❤️

Visit in January During a visit to the Achterhoek we had lunch at Lev's. We chose the panini rendang, sandwich of the month (this time with fried chicken, red onion and lettuce) and the club sandwich with chicken thigh fillet. All very tasty and a successful lunch for us. A downside: when you withdraw your card, it automatically appears whether you want to tip. I personally prefer to indicate that I am giving a tip. If you are not aware of it, this may come as an unpleasant surprise.

Had a bite to eat last month, food was good! However, when checking the receipt I discovered that a tip is automatically charged... Are we in America???

LEV Foodbar had been on my wish list for a while because of the positive stories from acquaintances. What a top restaurant! On our table there was a welcome sign with our name and a nice drawing, which we thought was fun and original. Not only is the food incredibly good (we had the chef's tasting), but the service is also excellent and very friendly. The dishes are very varied and very well and surprisingly composed. We like to be surprised. The decoration of the restaurant is beautiful and cozy. We had to leave on time (because cinema) and that was also taken into account fantastically. Definitely recommended! We'll be back anyway.

Fantastic atmosphere, always delicious food. Whether it is for lunch or dinner. We always like to come back here. The staff is warm, cordial and does everything to make the afternoon or evening special.

Wij waren aanwezig bij “Holy crab!” Heerlijk gegeten, goede wijn, goede service.

Ik had een cadeaubon gekregen van 75 euro voor LEV Doetinchem. Ik was er samen met mijn schoonzus. Eten was echt heerlijk, maar onze gereserveerde plek was echt niet fijn. Naast gordijn bij deur entree in looppad. Tot twee keer toe gevraagd om een andere tafel, gezien de vrije tafels, maar dat mocht niet baten omdat het nog wel druk kon worden i.v.m. Sinterklaasintocht. Ze wisten dat we veel geld zouden uitgeven daar we kozen voor 3 gangen LEV lunch. We hebben bon ingeleverd + 30 euro aan extra consumpties. Dus je zou verwachten bij een uitgave van 100 euro dat er toch aan je wens van een andere tafel gehoor wordt gegeven. Er kwam maar 1 gezin na ons. Plekken genoeg over de hele middag. LEV Doetinchem kan zich absoluut niet meten met LEV Winterswijk wat betreft gastvrijheid en klantvriendelijkheid. Uitzondering jongedame in bediening: complimenten! Jouw leidinggevende kan een voorbeeld aan je nemen!

Nice atmosphere, good quality food. The set-up of two dishes per course is different and cool. Very nice wines to go along the courses. Knowledgable and very friendly service! If you're looking to spend a nice evening out (we spent 4 hours in the restaurant) this is certainly a go-to spot! you will not be disappointed. My personal favorite of the evening was the vegan "filet americain". Better then the original, by a landslide!

Fantastische avond gehad! Heerlijk gegeten; proeverij van 4 gangen met maar liefst 8 gerechtjes pp. 1 x volledig vegan was geen enkel probleem (normaal mag je al blij zijn met 1 optie, maar hier snapt de keuken hoe gastvrijheid werkt); heel fijn dat je hier met alle dieetwensen zo goed terecht kunt! Bijzonder lekkere en verrassende gerechtjes. Het personeel is zeer kundig en ontzettend vriendelijk. Er wordt goed met de gast afgestemd. Ook een goede wijnkaart. Absolute aanrader.

Not only is the food flavorful and delicious, but the service of of great quality. They are very attentive to your needs, and even brought our pup water and snacks!! Will definitely come back.

In dit leuke restaurantje hebben we heerlijk gegeten en hadden ook zeer adequate bediening. Ze overlegden ook over de duur tussen de gangen. Het eten was heerlijk, niet al te kleine hapjes en steeds 2 bordjes voor je met heerlijkheden!

Gezellig, culinair onverwachte combinaties en zeer attente bediening. Er had iets meer verlichting kunnen zijn, want ik kon de kaart haast niet lezen.

al twee keer het 4-gangen verrassingsmenu genomen en dat was beide keren erg lekker! originele combinaties van smaken en ingrediënten en een prima hoeveelheid. vriendelijk personeel met aandacht voor je. wat sowieso een 10 krijgt is het water wat op tafel staat en wordt bijgevuld. al met al zeker een aanrader !

Heel leuk plekje wat mooi is aangekleed, zeer vriendelijk personeel heeft en echt goddelijke gerechten. Zou hier elke week wel willen eten 👌🏻 Vegan opties altijd bespreekbaar (en dan ook echt heel erg lekker)

Burger was too thick because of additions while meat was thin and overseasoned, caramelized onions had an unplesant aftertaste combined with goat cheese you could taste little of the meat. Fries were undersalted but the salad was good. After i shared my opinion on the burger staff offered to make a new one, which i rejected not to waste food since it was edible.
