A very enjoyable dining experience. The food was delicious, especially the mezes, they were fresh, flavorful, and offered a great variety. Everything tasted authentic, and the service was friendly and attentive. The only downside is the pricing. The quality is definitely good, but it feels a bit expensive for what you get. We ended up paying around €70 for each, which was a little higher than expected. Overall, it's a nice place with great food, and I'd happily come back for the mezes.

I've been here multiple times now, and every visit has been excellent. In my opinion, Levant is one of the better restaurants in Amsterdam. What surprises me is that the restaurant is never completely full, because it genuinely deserves to be. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and healthy, with plenty of options, including great vegetarian dishes. The service is always friendly and attentive, the location offers a beautiful view of the canals, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. It's one of those places I always look forward to returning to. Highly recommended.

The mezes by the river are so delicious, and the atmosphere is incredible. Firat Bey was our waiter; I've never met such a knowledgeable and intellectual person in my life.

The main course is more successful than the appetizers. The service could be a little more attentive. If it weren't for the chef's friendliness and helpfulness, my rating for the waiter would be very low. The pleasure of drinking raki by the canal is unparalleled anywhere else in Amsterdam. The lamb chops with beğendi (a Turkish dish) were very delicious. The liver was also excellent. I would have expected a wider variety of salads. Because the atmosphere is paramount, it's a pleasant Turkish restaurant where you can have a nice evening without noticing other shortcomings. Reservations for the terrace area are a must.

It was disappointing. They started clearing out an hour before closing time and the lights were dimmed. We weren't happy with the service. A friendly smile shouldn't be such a luxury. The atmosphere was nice. The food was average.

My brother and I had a delicious meal here. Very hospitable people, and a pleasant experience for us. We had a choice of a mezze starter; afterwards, I had a perfect duck breast fillet and my brother had minced lamb. I will definitely come back here when I am in Amsterdam again. Unfortunately, that is not often enough.

The mezes were excellent, especially the octopus and gambas. I’d definitely recommend trying a variety of mezes paired with Turkish wines. The tandır was also tasty, though a bit heavy. Restaurant Levant on Weteringschans in the center of Amsterdam is highly recommended! From the moment you walk in, you immediately feel welcome thanks to the incredibly sweet owners and friendly staff. The service is warm, personal, and genuinely hospitable. The food is super tasty and of high quality. You can taste that everything is prepared with care and attention. The flavors are rich and authentic, and every dish is a real treat. The restaurant is located right in the city center, where parking can be difficult in Amsterdam anyway. Therefore, it is definitely recommended to come by public transport, for example by tram. That makes your visit a lot more relaxed. All in all, a very nice and pleasant experience. Definitely a place you would love to return to!

The terrace is super cozy. And it is located close to the Rijksmuseum, so after a visit, it is a perfect place to dine. The food was really delicious. The wild sea bass and the mezes were my favorites. Highly recommended.

Delicious food, great atmosphere and quiet

Nice atmosphere, the food is ok but nothing memorable. Be mindful of the appetizers they bring to the table. They’re small, it’s easy to order several without thinking much of it, but they can quickly add up and increase the final bill without you noticing.

Isn't it common for a tavern to serve water with raki? We were thirsty several times and couldn't get our raki refilled. The toilet was awful. The service was very poor. The salad portion was very small. Never again.

I recently dined here and had a really lovely experience. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and cozy, making you want to linger. The staff was friendly and really took their time with us. The food tasted delicious, and you can tell it is cooked with care. Everything was served neatly and beautifully. I felt truly welcome as a guest here. Definitely a place I want to return to.

Whenever I go to Amsterdam, I always make sure to visit Levant Restaurant, the only Turkish restaurant I see there. You can find the true flavors of Turkish cuisine here. The mezes are fantastic, and the Turkish wine selection is also high-quality. The dishes are truly healthy and prepared with olive oil. I saw it firsthand in the kitchen. Chef Murat Usta, originally from Mengen, Bolu, truly showcases his mastery. The service is excellent.

The New Year's Eve meal was very good. Just be aware that it's not mentioned when you make your reservation that there's a set menu for New Year's Eve. Don't choose the table opposite the entrance because there's a strong draft.

I've been here four times, and I think the menu was the same on my fourth visit. The appetizers are delicious, the food is good, but I noticed they haven't changed the menu, or at least some things are always on the same menu. I'd noticed before that there was no music at all. The other night, after 11:00, they started playing very little music. I generally like this place, but it really bothers me that they don't serve tea. Every time I ask for tea, they say they don't have any. This time, I didn't like the rice and the beğendi that came with the meat; it was very different; the rice tasted sour, like the eggplant. The service could definitely be better, I have to say that, especially during my last visit, I noticed some shortcomings. Of course, these are tolerable during a busy time, but a place like this would definitely benefit from better service.

The food was good, but we found it expensive. Three of us went. We had a few appetizers and melon, two hot starters, one main course, one dessert, and 70 cl of raki. We paid 94 euros per person, almost the price of a Michelin-starred restaurant. Because the raki table is long, for those of us who enjoy tea, I found the pricing absurd. Furthermore, when we asked for tea, they explained that they wouldn't brew it, and that the service was too difficult for us. I wasn't planning on going again, but we did try it.

We decided to satisfy our tavern craving with a group of expat friends who had migrated here from Türkiye, and the atmosphere, appetizers, and food were a welcome relief. The place is generally low quality (the glasses, tables, plates are cheap). They charge three times the price for the quality and taste they offer. In short, don't recommend this restaurant.

Our family extends our sincere thanks to Levant Restaurant in Amsterdam. We went without a reservation for a celebratory dinner, but despite this, we were greeted with great hospitality and warmth. We would especially like to thank Mehmet Bey and Işıl Hanım for their attentiveness, kindness, and warm hospitality. The food was incredibly delicious, and the service was extremely prompt and attentive. The ambiance was also very pleasant. Levant is a true culinary destination in Amsterdam. Our family was very pleased, and we hope to see you again.

Overpriced, no parking, small space, and limited menu options. Unfortunately, a mouse ran over me during the meal. We arrived at 9:00 PM, and they immediately announced the kitchen was about to close. We were seated, and every 15 or 20 minutes, they kept telling us they were about to close. In short, we couldn't enjoy ourselves.

The atmosphere, appetizers, hot entrees, and food were all excellent. If you make a reservation, make sure to order from the garden overlooking the canal. The black-eyed peas, purslane, and eggplant appetizers were as good as those in Turkey. The Cretan appetizer is worth criticizing.

For the price point, I expected more in terms of both flavor and culinary finesse. I am unlikely to return.

Had dinner here, close to canal tour boats. Excellent food and a comfort to have a nice sit down meal with a good selection. One of the few meals I had in Amsterdam that I would recommend and return to. I had the duck with lots of nice fruits and my niece had something else she enjoyed.
