I always heard good things about this restaurant Went for the first time yesterday Nice atmosphere, pleasant staff, good value for money (both good).

The restaurant is very nice and definitely worth trying. Honestly, it's fantastic, but the portions are a bit small. However, the prices are reasonable.

What a delightfully delicious meal this was...!! We were staying close by and just randomly over maps asked for restaurant recommendations- this popped up as a 4.5, but honestly, it deserves 5 full stars. The soup was the perfect warmth we needed on a cool evening. The two mezzes we ordered were delicious (accompanied with in house made crusty bread...light and airy with the best crunch). The burger was perfectly cooked and the flavors were on point with the caramelized onions. Then came along the ooeey gooey knafeh...sizzling hot, perfect golden crust and the hot honey added the right balance in every bite. The baked rice pudding I didn't try personally, but the husband devoured it clean. Turkish tea was delicious 😋 The ambience and decor is extremely cozy. Beautiful vibrant plants against the window sill. Outdoor seating is also a great vibe. The bathroom was exceptionally clean. Staff was so warm and welcoming. Loved it!!! Highly recommend 👌

I ate manti with my family, the taste was nice. The problem was the size, it was a small portion, much smaller than I thought. For 10 Euro's it might not be worth it that much. The staff were nice tho, and gave some free drinks.

We ate a delicious shawarma dish. The people serving were very nice, and the cook in the kitchen preparing the food was also top-notch. We were served quite quickly too; that is good service. I will definitely come back. The best Turkish place in Amsterdam North.

I visited Restaurant Turquoise Meating hoping for a great Turkish dining experience. Unfortunately, the food did not meet my expectations. However, the shisha was decent and enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience more pleasant. The atmosphere was nice, but I would mainly recommend this place for shisha rather than for the food.

Don’t order via Uber.. I had to wait 2 hours for an online order and my house is literally 10 mn walking from the restaurant.. I had to call 3 times , not helpful at all .. not worth at all

What a beautiful place we entered, it felt like walking into Turkey. The reception was incredibly warm; we felt welcome thanks to their friendly hospitality. Of course, we didn't forget the food, and OH, HOW DELICIOUS IT WAS! I had a lentil soup, we shared a Manti, and we both ordered lamb chops—what a taste explosion! We left satisfied and with super full bellies. Our first time was such a success that we are certain it won't be the last. Thank you ❤️

We were actually looking for a Turkish restaurant and ended up here quite spontaneously – luckily! The food was excellent, and even our children were absolutely thrilled. What a lovely experience at Turquoise Meating; I was there for the first time last Friday, May 1st. Honestly, I don't know if I have ever been received more warmly by an owner/hostess anywhere. From the very first moment, it felt hospitable and genuinely welcome. I tried a mixed grill, a wrap, and a few other dishes. Everything was freshly prepared, tasted delicious, and the portions were excellent. Upon arrival, I was also offered a delicious Turkish tea, which made the wait worth it. In addition to my ordered Fanta, I received an extra Turkish soft drink; truly incredibly thoughtful. When I am in Amsterdam again, I will definitely come back here. We will certainly see each other again! 🤗♥️💐🙏🏾

Good food, nice place. We were a group of 15 people, they had plenty space, the staff was friendly and we got the food on time. The Specialiteiten for 2 people is enough for 3 or even 4 people.

I WILL NOT ORDER HERE AGAIN. The portions at this place have significantly reduced over the past year and now it is getting ridiculous. This container used to come full with meat, wraps and rice. Now it came with meat, No lamb chops and 1 miserable wrap. The rice is now extra and I didnt know. For EUR 25 THIS IS DISGUSTING and shameful to charge customers for this. Ilive in noord and have been a loyal customer but no more I will give my money to the competition- you should be ashamed.

Was staying around the neighbourhood and was starving. It was probably 9ish and google maps said they were open till 11 or something, anyways when we got there it looked like they were closing up and i asked if they were still serving food. The busser had to ask another lady and she said yes! That meant so much to us since we got there that day and were exhausted. Not only were they hospitable but SUPER friendly since they didn’t really speak english and we don’t speak dutch. It felt like they gave us a great big hug metaphorically speaking. She also said not to rush the meal and gave us turkish tea after the meal. She was like my mom away from home❤️ This is the BEST service i’ve had in an eternity. Support local and don’t be afraid to venture out of your comfort zone, you never know what you’re going to find. I send best wishes to this place and if i’m in the neighbourhood again, 100% coming here. We got some sort of platter you can’t really tell cuz a pita is drooped over all the grilled meat, it was dang delicious there was not a morsel left. Try this place out.

The quality drop from last year is immense. I had some ok food here before, and it was my third time coming here. I won’t be back. Sac kavurma was inedible, spaghetti bolognese barely edible, and cigkofte was supermarket-bought at best. The quality of the food is not acceptable for any restaurant, let alone one that charges regular-high prices (higher than several other Turkish restaurants to be honest). The kavurma was soaked in fat, the rice floating in it, the meat smelt bad and tasted like it was cooked twice. Taste of bolognese was better, but also dripping fat and very heavy. I am attaching pictures here because it was unbelievable. Neither of us could finish our meals. The sad part is nobody asked about how we found our food - even when we were paying the bill, so we paid and left. One star is for the friendly service and the presentation of the food on the plates. My advice is not to go there if you don’t want to get sick and to spend your money elsewhere.

This restaurant is a gem ! Welcoming staff and delicious food. I ate mezze in many places, but these were the finest sigara I've ever eaten in my life ! From the cacik to the kofte, every course was perfect. If you stay in Amsterdam, I highly recommend this place. It may seems a little bit far from downtown, but it's like ten minutes walk from the subway 52, so it's a short hop from Amsterdam Central Station.

I have never tasted garlic sausage like the one served here. It was truly exceptional. The flavor was rich, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely delicious. The chicken was another highlight. It was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The presentation was beautiful and showed great attention to detail. Every part of the meal reflected care and quality.
