Reyer Nijhoff Restaurant in Tuindorp Oostzaan

Ordered a tenderloin but unfortunately it was a different cut of meat, a piece of fat on it and completely overcooked. Shame, I think you're better off going for the shawarma. Called but had to make do with it... then don't sell tenderloin.

What a delightfully delicious meal this was...!! We were staying close by and just randomly over maps asked for restaurant recommendations- this popped up as a 4.5, but honestly, it deserves 5 full stars. The soup was the perfect warmth we needed on a cool evening. The two mezzes we ordered were delicious (accompanied with in house made crusty bread...light and airy with the best crunch). The burger was perfectly cooked and the flavors were on point with the caramelized onions. Then came along the ooeey gooey knafeh...sizzling hot, perfect golden crust and the hot honey added the right balance in every bite. The baked rice pudding I didn't try personally, but the husband devoured it clean. Turkish tea was delicious 😋 The ambience and decor is extremely cozy. Beautiful vibrant plants against the window sill. Outdoor seating is also a great vibe. The bathroom was exceptionally clean. Staff was so warm and welcoming. Loved it!!! Highly recommend 👌

Yesterday, I ate here with a colleague. I ordered the mixed grill for €29.50. To my surprise, I received only half an Adana, a few small pieces of meat, and a few pieces of chicken. At first, I thought a mistake had been made because the portion was very small and meager. For this price, I had expected much more. Unfortunately, the taste was also very disappointing. The food was not tasty and absolutely not what I am used to from a mixed grill. To be honest, I felt ripped off. For me, this was the first and the last time I will eat here.

This is by far the best pita place in the Purmerend area. I went with my wife and children. The pitas come in meters, the dough is incredibly thin, crispy, and the ingredients are all fresh. Appetizers come with a side dish, and the salad is seasonal and plentiful. It's truly worth the money. It was as good as Turkey. The owner, Yusuf, was very friendly, and the service was excellent. We will be back soon.
