Little Italy in Wijk 01 Stadskern

I waited 15 minutes for a Coca-Cola, 30 minutes for a coffee, and 45 minutes for a pizza, the last time! I don't recommend it! The service was lost. The waiter, disregarding the customer's needs, walked past us several times. I often go to restaurants in the Netherlands, but this is the first time I've encountered such terrible service. The restaurant is terrible. Please change something, it looks like a bar in the USSR. On a scale of 1 to 10, the coffee is a 2. 1 point for being warm, and 2 for finally being served. One woman works in a circle with five others, standing in a circle, looking at her. There are flies everywhere, landing on me and my food. The USSR invented flypaper. Don't they have such innovations in the Netherlands? And this is the answer: if you behave badly, you will be treated similarly... I didn't behave badly; I was polite, nice, and friendly. I only asked once if we could get that coffee, because I wanted to at least have a cup of coffee while waiting for a dry, tasteless pizza. The Eastern Bloc really does cook better than you; you can't base an entire kitchen on one sauce. I've been to Italian restaurants in the Netherlands, and they had pizza, not that dry, paper-thin pizza with too much chicken like yours. You won't get a good review just because you're supposed to be nice and friendly. If you want to serve people food, do it well or not at all! I've given five stars to many restaurants I've visited in this country. I will never recommend your restaurant to anyone!

I ate here last weekend and was very pleasantly surprised. The pizzas were delicious, freshly prepared, and generously topped. You can taste that they work with high-quality ingredients. The service was also friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome immediately. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and relaxed, making it a nice place to eat quietly. The wait time was short, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. In short, a great experience. If you are looking for a good pizzeria with tasty dishes and excellent service, I can certainly recommend this place. We will definitely be back!

I was at this place during my previous trip to Amersfoort, I really enjoyed it. Thus, decided to invite my friends to it this time. What a change happened to it! On 2026-08-23 somewhere between 16 and 17 we were looking for a place to have a lunch - 4 of us and my toddler. There were multiple free tables outside, so I asked if we could take one of them. Each table had 2 chairs, so we asked to put 2 additional chairs + a baby-chair. As I'm not from the Netherlands, I asked this in English. The waitress replied something very grumpy in Dutch and shown that we'd better not do it. My friend who speaks a little bit of Dutch explained me that she said that we are not allowed to change number of chairs and each table should have 2 chairs, so if we want we can check if any of the large tables are free inside the place. The saddest part - when we were passing this place on the way back to the parking - there were 4 people sitting at one of the tables - having a good time and speaking Dutch loudly. It’s quite ironic, because it’s an Italian restaurant (at least the sign at the entrance and Google say so). Thus, I kindly ask the owner of this place to explain to this waitress lady, that rejecting tourists with small kids does not help the business.

Poor Customer Service and Declining and Disappointing Food Quality We’ve now had two separate disappointing experiences. First experience: We ordered three slices of cheesecake, and they were clearly not fresh. When we brought this to the waitress’s attention, she insisted they were “fresh” because they had only been delivered the previous day. Unfortunately, being delivered the previous day does not necessarily mean the cheesecake was fresh or of good quality. Second experience: The ribs were extremely dry. When we requested additional basting, we were told that they already had extra basting and that we would have to pay an additional charge for more. The tuna panini was also disappointing. It barely contained any tuna. It normally comes with a small container of sauce, but this time there was no sauce at all. What made both experiences even more frustrating was the waitress’s attitude toward our concerns. Instead of trying to resolve the issues or offer a reasonable solution, her response was, “What would you like me to do about it?” We frequent Little Italy very often, but unfortunately, we have been noticing a steady decline in the quality of its products. The customer service has always been disappointing, but we would usually just overlook it and ignore the experience. However, the continued decline in food quality, combined with the poor customer service, has become increasingly difficult to overlook.

Such a shame! Normally always a very pleasant experience and always good service! Unfortunately, not today! Despite the 35 degrees, we were not allowed to move to a slightly shadier spot, even though those two tables were free! We found another spot on our own initiative and cleared the table ourselves. The coffee ordered after our meal never arrived; subsequently, we decided to leave anyway and get coffee somewhere else, only to see our bill listed as 6 coffees! We had ordered three and never received them!! No apology or compensation!

The best pasta in whole Netherlands

It has nothing to do with Italy and is more of a meeting place for other cultures.

It was a bit slow for the flow of people. There weren't that many people around for how long the order took 🤦‍♂️

Had a delicious lunch at Little Italy with a friend of mine; the pastas are always tasty here. I was also quite full after my Pasta Biata, and the portions were good. I was helped very well by a very nice waitress named Marieka! I will definitely be coming back here more often! The atmosphere was great, nice and quiet.

Very large portions and fast service

We had a delicious meal. My pizza was the best-topped pizza ever and was also delicious. My wife's generous portion of pasta carbonara with shrimp was also generously filled with shrimp. The service was extremely friendly; definitely recommended!

The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and relaxed, allowing you to truly enjoy your evening. We started with the carpaccio, and it was delicious. The meat was fresh, beautifully thinly sliced, and perfectly seasoned. Afterward, we had a Blue Bull mocktail, which looked beautiful and tasted wonderfully refreshing as well. For the main course, we chose the pasta pesto with shrimp, bell peppers, and onions. The pasta was perfectly prepared, the pesto was creamy and full of flavor, and the shrimp were nice and tender. The bell peppers and onions completed the dish perfectly. Additionally, we had a chicken sandwich, which was generously filled and tasted delicious. Everything was clearly freshly prepared and made with care. What made this evening truly special was the amazing service from Karees. She was incredibly friendly, hospitable, and professional. She had an eye for detail, checked regularly to see if everything was to our liking, and made sure we felt truly welcome. Her friendly demeanor and good service made our evening complete. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed the food and the excellent service. For delicious Italian food, a cozy atmosphere, and top-notch service, we definitely recommend Little Italy. A special compliment to Karees for her hospitality. We will certainly be back here again!

I have been coming here for years and have actually never had any problems. The food is always tasty and the staff is always friendly, which is why I found what happened recently particularly disappointing. I was with my mother and we had ordered two pastas and drinks. After 20 to 25 minutes, we had to ask them to bring our drinks ourselves. After that, we waited a very long time for the food. We arrived at 6:30 PM and didn't ask where our food was until around 8:00 PM, while other tables that had arrived later already had theirs. Then we were told that they hadn't passed our order on to the kitchen at all. How can you forget something like that after an hour and a half? As a solution, we were offered bread with tapenade on the house until the food was ready, but we didn't feel like it at that moment. We got up and went to eat across the street. It is really a shame, especially since I have been coming here for years and have never had anything to complain about. Unfortunately, I have been hearing these kinds of stories more and more often lately. Insha’Allah, this is a one-off and something will be done about it.

These are the tastiest spare ribs in Amersfoort

I come here regularly, and they never disappoint. The staff is incredibly helpful and happy to help. We were helped by Lay today, and despite being new, she's doing a fantastic job. It was very busy today, but she handled it very well. I definitely recommend this place to everyone! :) for a quick bite or a cozy dinner.

Delicious food and the best service from Karees

Nice little restaurant in Amersfoort. + Tasty food + Friendly staff + Always a spot available + Next to a bus stop, so easily accessible - significantly more expensive in the last few years, causing me to visit less often. It is the only restaurant in Amersfoort I go to, though. But then again, everything is more expensive at all restaurants and shops, so I can't really blame them for that. Tips: - I actually found the glass sauce containers more convenient than the current metal ones. Maybe look into bringing these back? - just like last time, a full plate with lots of chicken on a bun is nice, pleasant, and filling, but as far as I'm concerned, half of the chicken could be replaced by some potato wedges. Or, perhaps there could be a few more options on the menu. So that a customer can choose between lots of chicken, or chicken and potato wedges.

I always enjoyed coming to this restaurant, but my last experience was very disappointing. There was a fly in my food. Instead of apologizing or suggesting a new dish, a staff member said the fly had probably fallen in later and then walked away. We pointed it out several times, but no one did anything about it. It wasn't until we were paying that the lady behind the counter said she was very sorry this had happened. I ended up just paying the full amount, but unfortunately, after this experience, I will never return here.

I ate here on Saturday evening with a friend I hadn't spoken to in a long time. The vegetarian pizza was good; it was nice that it was pre-sliced. For dessert, we had a delicious iced coffee.

What struck me: I would like to share my experience. There is an employee working in the restaurant named Karees; she is cheerful, happy to help, and incredibly sweet. Truly a great experience!

Karees was a very nice employee and did a good job, she was also very friendly. Asil was also very sympathetic and super friendly, he kept asking if everything was alright and if we liked the food. It was all delicious and we had a really good time there.

Top service! If you want to grab a nice drink with your friends or eat good, fresh food, you have to go to Little Italy.

There is a reason it is always busy; the food is so delicious. The pesto pasta with chicken and shrimp is highly recommended! The burger was also good, and we received bread with tapas as a starter because the food took a bit longer than usual. Good service is what keeps people coming back, and that is certainly the case for me!

The food was fine, but the service was poor. We ordered four pastas and asked for Parmesan cheese. Afterwards, it turned out that an extra €8 had been added to the bill without any clear notification. When I pointed this out, a staff member responded arrogantly, remarking that this is “normal in the Netherlands.” At almost every Italian restaurant, cheese is simply included as standard. Poor service and an unprofessional attitude. For me, that is reason enough not to return.
