Atmospheric place, friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, especially the barbecue (was there for a party). Only sat outside because the weather was lovely. Both shady and sunny spots.

Great atmosphere and a fantastic salsa party on Thursday nights. And in the summer, you can also dance outside on the terrace. Excellent and good service at the bar!

We celebrated birthdays and a wedding anniversary in the charming space of Lodge Alphen. Everything was perfectly arranged, and the staff were friendly. Highly recommended!

Great location for a party. They have several rooms available, depending on the group size. We had a cozy room with an après-ski theme and a cozy wood-burning stove (perfect for the ski school, of course!). The staff is great, friendly, and helpful. The new owners are doing a great job making it a great place!

Update following the Lodge's response: Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, it is substantively identical to the responses we previously received by email and in conversations. That is precisely a key part of the problem. First of all: it's incorrect to say that there is a completely new owner and working method. The majority of the team has remained the same, and the owner who now calls himself "new" is, in fact, a former owner who has returned. Furthermore, it is common knowledge that the "old" and "new" owners are former partners who have had a conflict. As clients, we were directly affected by this internal situation. It made no difference to us who was or is the formal owner: we had an agreement and expected professional communication and handling. Blaming this situation on "the choices of a previous owner" does not do justice to what happened and the consequences we had to bear, both practically and financially. An invitation for a meeting doesn't change the fact that we were abandoned at the time. This review therefore stands as an honest reflection of our experience. ******************** We planned our party (for 60 people) at the Lodge on August 22nd and had been arranging everything since March. To our great shock, we were only told two days in advance that the venue would be unavailable. It later turned out that the company had already declared bankruptcy on August 12th (we had to find this out ourselves) – but Savannah cheerfully contacted us on August 14th about snacks and details. No one honestly informed us or warned us that there was a chance our party might not go ahead. If we had known this earlier, we would have canceled the party or booked elsewhere in advance. Now, we spent two days arranging everything under immense stress instead of enjoying our visit and the lead-up to the party. We find this very disappointing and careless. As if that wasn't enough, we also lost our down payment: over €1,300 (which had never been discussed before), which Miranda had told me to transfer back in June, well before the due date. After months of waiting, we have lost all hope of getting this amount (or part of it) back. In retrospect, it was naive of me to agree to this so early, but she made it a strict condition. Meanwhile, the business continues as usual under a different company – same name, same email address, same phone number, and some people still work there. We feel like we've been deliberately ignored and taken advantage of. We feel deeply cheated and misled by this approach. Absolutely not recommended.

Salsa Pentecost party. Very nice, good music, excellent atmosphere, danced wonderfully on the terrace. Didn't get to eat or drink, too long line.

A company you can't do business with.

We've celebrated company outings here several times, and I highly recommend it. The BBQ was delicious. The drinks and service were excellent.

I was there for the Salsa Event. Cozy and sociable. Great music and good organization.

What a horrible blonde bastard behind the bar. She has no customer friendliness. Laughing at a customer? While she herself looks terrible. That brown-haired manatee could also use a lesson in customer service. Terrible place with terribly arrogant and unsightly employees. Actually, the municipality of Alphen should simply close this tent.
