Delicious meatballs. Friendly service and a beautiful restaurant.

I've known Breukelen since I was a kid. Back then, we always got ice cream at the market square and there was nothing else to do. Loetje is a good reason to venture outside the well-known and charming square, although I've only had coffee there. The atmosphere is great, and people chat animatedly, which sounds nice. The staff are very friendly and attentive. And the cappuccino? Yes, three Michelin stars, of course! It's a lovely place.

Great spot for lunch. The terrace is spacious and has four large parasols, providing comfortable shade if you're lucky enough to find one. The food is good, although the menu could do with a few more vegetarian or vegan options. The service is friendly and efficient. It's a shame smoking is still allowed on the terrace. I find it disgusting and disruptive. Loetje, make your terraces smoke-free too!

Perfect steak and very customer-friendly service!

The recommended steak is Balinese steak – one piece. It's a good place to moor, or it offers a great atmosphere for a business lunch or dinner.

It was truly delicious! Simple dishes but incredibly flavorful! We chose the original recipe. This was (just) my first time at Loetje. I'll definitely be back.

The steak was excellent as expected. However, 1 of the 4 in the group got 2 of those pieces from the children's menu instead of 1 whole steak. That probably wasn't 195 grams because it was a lot less than the other steaks. We were upstairs in Breukelen and that is not really comfortable. Chairs are those cheap wooden ones without cushions. The service was also not great. Ordered two rounds of drinks and both times they lost the order. So a long wait and it was only brought after asking. Furthermore, a lot of service present but no structure at all and also too little attention for your table. In short, the food was fine but for the price you have to pay you can expect a lot more.

As always at Loetje we had a great meal. But inside it had the atmosphere of a community center from the 90s. Not Loetje worthy.

Fast and good service and delicious food!

Food is reasonable. The tuna steak was a bit overcooked. No mayo with the sweet potato fries. I asked for it. But it didn't come through.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch; a poke bowl & uitsmijter. On request on this quiet Thursday afternoon asked if it could be ready quickly and that went perfectly! Worth repeating. Friendly staff.

The tastiest steak in the Netherlands is served at Loetje. Also at Loetje in Breukelen the steaks are as you would expect them at Loetje. Cozy large terrace and great service.

Well.. known for the steak is also good but expensive. The much praised gravy I personally find a bit salty a bit of a maggi aftertaste. Atmosphere in Breukelen okish but no more than that. Can't put my finger on it but somehow it lacks authenticity. As if they want to imitate a kind of brown cafe but then for 250 people.. Service is fine. All in all I prefer to go to a real brown cafe... it is also considerably cheaper.

Well, what else do you need to tell us about Loetje, steak?

If you want a great steak this is the place to go. Never been disappointed.

It's been a while but it's still bothering me. Received a gift voucher for Loetje. Reserved by phone, indicated quiet corner due to partner's deafness. Reported upon arrival that there were two free tables that were not reserved. The staff let us stand there!!! My partner wanted to leave, one table was a small 2-person table in a row. The other table was next to the bar and seemed a bit quieter, so we sat there with a bit of a bad feeling in our bodies, Ordered food, burnt steak gravy in which my tuna was fried. While we were eating the main course, an employee came to ask if we wanted more coffee, because they wanted to clean the coffee machine?? Then they went to clear away all the kegs at the bar and the initially quiet spot seemed as if we were eating in the glass container! We ate there once and never again. They don't know hospitable service there. When you get older and start behaving too haughty, you apparently forget that you still have to rely on the guests. Never again!

Nice conservatory, sufficient staff, the quality is standard for this chain; no fast food, not even culinary.

Kwartier wachten voor een drankje, daarna half uur voordat het eten kwam, vanaf de besteltijd. Personeel wat totaal geen inzicht heeft in plannen en opruimen tafels. Wij zijn weggegaan na 1 drankje.

Food is fantastic. Service leaves much to be desired. If you eat for 300 euros you expect a bit more. Drinks forgotten, food separately, dishes left in front of you for 1/2 hour. Everything to your liking? Separate dessert. It wasn't even busy. Last time I went.

Upon entering the reopened Loetje, I was reminded of a famous episode of Jerry Seinfeld. "You know how to TAKE a reservation, you just don't know how to HOLD it". Reserved for 8:00 PM, but upon arrival you are told that you have to wait at least 20 minutes (standing) for a table. No, thank you.

Helaas was ons bezoek aan Loetje Breukelen van de week allesbehalve aangenaam. Het personeel kwam ongeïnteresseerd en ronduit onbeschoft over. Er leek geen enkele moeite gedaan te worden om gasten zich welkom te laten voelen. De omgangsvormen van sommige medewerkers riepen zelfs de vraag op of ze geschikt zijn voor werk in de horeca, het leken wel robots (met name meneer met een knot) Over het ‘nieuwe’ interieur zal ik maar niet beginnen.. Het is zonde dat ze het oude team en oude interieur niet meer hebben. Er is nu niks meer aan!

Steak was not prepared properly and we had to send it back, the same thing happened at several other tables. Ordered fries with mayonnaise and the mayo was at the bottom of the container.

Waiter in training? Here you will learn everything you absolutely don't want to do! Full hall, atmosphere is reasonable to noisy. Possible on a busy evening. Start with a buratta and ask for vinegar and olive oil. About brings peanut oil. (Fortunately no nut allergy...) Feedback at the end during checkout with a colleague who notes "we have olive oil there". Enjoy your meal! Peanut oil on your buratta. Main course, can we have extra chicken liver with our steak? No, it's gone. Ok, can happen. Is there any steak with chicken liver worth the red? Yes! Cool! Other portions can be prepared mise en place, I'm looking forward to that. No chicken liver on my steak, but extra Champions, just not told at the table. So pay 6.5 euros extra for Champions. Perhaps I would have eaten the calf's liver? Dessert from Loetje on the table, enjoy it! No, it's gone. Worthless if you cannot manage or adjust expectations. "Is everything OK?" No question at checkout "how can we solve this? Should we take the chicken liver from? Get the bill twice?" In short, this is where you eat if you have allergies and want to die. Or if you want to pay for services that you do not receive. It was the first and also the very last time at a Loetje for me. Worthless catering. Embarrassing.

Delicious food, the eel beforehand was very tasty. Then a delicious tender steak and dessert, the sticky toffee cake was delicious!

An early lunch on the sunny terrace this morning. We were told that new patio furniture would be provided, but we were still able to sit outside Hats off to Tibor and Renee who had to change the furniture together and also had to serve a now full terrace Too bad this wasn't thought out better by management! Tibor and Renee are two great people who know what work is and service with a smile!!

Wat een service weer! Ik kom hier geregeld maar nu eens alleen en wat anders gegeten...een hamburger. Lekker maar kan niet tippen aan de biefstuk natuurlijk. Zoals altijd is het personeel top, in contact en flexibel. Blijft m'n favoriete restaurant!

Prima plek om een lekkere biefstuk te eten, wel een beetje aan de prijs maar als je niet teveel drinkt valt de rekening mee :). In ons geval kwamen we er later achter dat er waarschijnlijk nog een tafel op onze tafel mee lifte, we kregen ook een biefstuk teveel. Volgende dag een mailtje gestuurd met de de bon en de drankjes die we echt niet besteld hadden, werd snel opgepakt en het bedrag wat we teveel betaald hadden werd terug gestort. Jammer dat het fout ging maar super opgepakt.

Excellent location with large terrace in the sun

Just had lunch with a group of 11 on the terrace of Loetje. We arrived just before opening time and there was a lady serving. She was alone and showed a bit grumpy that she was not open yet. While we had made a reservation. The order for drinks and food was taken and soon an employee joined us. A big disappointment was that no bread was served with the steak while it was on the menu. I asked about it later and the answer was that quite a lot was thrown away. I understand, but then ask your customer when taking the order! Furthermore, they did not ask if we wanted to order anything else. It remained at only 1 drink. And there was no point in asking, there was no attention at all. Really bad! It was not overly busy either, we had to work a bit. All in all.... not great! And way too expensive for what I got.... Too bad.

Very tasty food! A bit full, busy and noisy on a Friday evening.

We had to wait quite a long time for our food, but otherwise everything was fine and the steak we ordered was tasty with lots of gravy to dip in with the bread that we got with it. For a steak of 27.50 euros, I thought it was a shame that the fries were not included in the price, so you had to pay 6.50 extra for that. The waitress was spontaneous and pleasant!

The conservatory looks more like a lunchroom than a restaurant

We had a business event in the room above the business. This is highly recommended. Good service, good food and nice drinks!

I find the decor very sober. Big Windows, nothing in front of them. You're on the lookout. You have beautiful in-between curtains

While almost all the tables were empty, we were told that there was no room and that we had to wait at the bar (for 45 minutes). The tables remained empty and only after making inquiries ourselves could we go to a table. Bad service! The food is good

Below was the experience we had, but Loetje dealt with it quickly and professionally. Great. Disappointing service, not the Loetje experience we know We were a group of 13 people. On arrival we were shown to a table and drinks were taken and served. So far so good. Unfortunately, the service became less pleasant after that. The employee who brought the drinks (gentleman with glasses and a bun) communicated in an unfriendly way, by almost barking off the orders. With a larger group it sometimes takes a while before everyone picks up their drink, but the response to this was very irritated. When a Loetje Blond and a Skuumkoppe remained, he walked away in annoyance and threw the drinks down the gutter. Then it turned out that a Texels Blonde was not brought enough. Instead of solving it kindly, the employee reacted angrily and accused the guest of not having responded earlier (that was about a Loetje Blond). Later, when one of us wanted to order an extra drink, he was put in his place with the comment: “I'm busy with dinner now.” These unfriendly interactions really left a mark on our experience. The food and the rest of the staff were fine, but the behavior of this employee did not fit in with the hospitality we are used to from Loetje. Very unfortunate.

Eating at Loetje is always delicious. The service is very friendly.

We were here with a large business group. Everything was well taken care of. The etrn was as usual and the service too! Special attention to dessert: the cheesecake was delicious!

Very nice tent in picturesque Breukelen. Never been to Loetje before, but it must be the first time. And pleasantly surprised by the food and atmosphere that can be experienced at Loetje Breukelen. Shrimp croquettes are an absolute must as an appetizer with the garlic gravy for tenderloin. Service doesn't deserve 5 stars, but all in all, Loetje Breukelen deserves 5 stars from me.

Had to wait an extremely long time for our food.

Besides the famous steaks, this is also a great place for a simple lunch with a sandwich or sandwich.

Loetje is always good. We regularly visit Loetje in Breukelen and it is a pleasant place to be. However, we noticed when you sit in the rectangle of the restaurant that the service is simply poor. It would be nice if this were improved. We never experience that on the left.

The food was good but the service was very slow. Didn't get a chance to steal drinks and dessert.

The service is really worryingly bad. They know nothing. Make mistakes with the bill. Waiting for 45 minutes for errors on the bill. If you order mushrooms you will receive onions only to receive cold mushrooms while your food is almost finished. Never again!

Had a delicious sandwich with fresh gravy.....

As always, the steak was wonderfully tender. It's a pity that the steak did not arrive nice and hot on the table and on cold plates. As soon as you are halfway through your 300 gram steak, it is already lukewarm, as is the gravy. Heated plates are a must. The second round of red Merlot also came when the steak was almost finished. Very unfortunate. Nice staff, but could be more alert to whether customers want to order something.

Food was good but not great. Atmosphere is really nice. A bit expensive for the quality of the food.

7:15 PM reservation for 3 people and a table only available half an hour later. In the meantime, you see several duos getting a seat, but giving the excuse that there are only two seats available. Not hospitable at all and you also get a big mouth when you say that you think it is taking a long time. Adjust your website and estimate better :)

Great, food, and nice casual staff, an overal nice atmosphere and theme. We had to wait quite long between our 1st and 2nd course but it was worth the wait.

We had a delicious meal, friendly service, although the decor was a bit uninviting.

You can eat steak there. You are asked how it should be baked. For me it concerns red. Served with the right gravy, the knife glides through the tenderloin steak. This is beautiful red with an even baked layer of a few mm. Taste is fine, stable and exciting. I personally think the atmosphere is a bit too light, but the food makes up for that

The steak was so raw, it almost still had a heartbeat. I'm not averse to a piece of red meat, but I think this one missed the pan.... Fries were fried twice so they were dark and brown and the service was terrible. Goat cheese salad was good.

This time a lesser experience at Loetje and that is a shame. It is not the fault of the staff, very friendly and certainly did their best. Sometimes not too smoothly, but it was a busy Saturday evening so completely understandable. I read a lot of reviews about unattractive furnishings. Yes, that may be true, but it also depends on how you spend your evening, I think :) You also create the atmosphere yourself, so I don't really understand those reviews! The food was just very disappointing. Satay was way too salty and spicy and the pokébowl had too much seaweed and very little steak. Too bad and we both had some stomach problems. By the way, we have had this before at other Loetje branches, so it will not be specific to the Breukelen branch. And price-quality is really too expensive. It is not the most special menu and not extensive either. For the time being we will skip Loetje.

On February 4, we had lunch at Loetje's with our family. All food was good and in proportions. Except for one thing. Don't have a hamburger sandwich. Why? For €20 you only get a hamburger sandwich, no fries/fries. I recommend never eating a hamburger here again. At snack bar you get more value for money. I spoke to the service about this and I will pass it on. And you can do it with that. My advice is to anticipate this. Sir, we will bring you some fries/fries. Missed opportunity. Dissatisfied customer. Another customer less. This has ensured that we are done with Loetje. Shame.

Vanwege goede herinneringen hier weer gereserveerd. Het eten was in orde, maar wat een kaal en sober restaurant is dit geworden, het was dat er vanwege kerst, lichtjes in de vensterbank stonden, maar het had meer weg van een bedrijfskantine met goedkope houten stoelen en nagenoeg kale muren.

As with all Loetjes, the food is top notch! Top service and friendly staff. The only downside was the chairs of the regular tables, made entirely of wood, hard seat, giving you a hard buttocks.

Ate on Christmas Day. You will not be offered a Christmas menu, but the standard menu 🤔 so you looked at the website yourself. Operated by approximately 6-7 employees. Kindly continue. Some were distant as if they thought what are you doing here. It seemed like there was a lot of hiring because it was sometimes messy. Waiting 20 minutes for first contact is too long. You were continuously monitored because if your glass was empty it was taken straight away. I only knew this phenomenon from the Chinese. The mushroom soup was fine. The steak medium was both well done raw and half. The fries looked like they were from the snack bar. There was a cold atmosphere. Business even. Sometimes Christmas music, sometimes not. Sometimes a little louder, sometimes a little softer. Seats were much too low. Glasses and cutlery were nice and clean. I thought the price/quality was mediocre. Too many areas for improvement.

Good food doesn't have to be complicated! Loetje purchases excellent quality ingredients and knows how to easily transform them into delicious, tasty classics! Reason to go back again and again. Atmosphere is also good. Unfortunately, the service is too young and therefore inexperienced, forgets to take orders or come back, or comes by twice over and over again.

Friendly service. Ordered a delicious Bali chicken sandwich with bean sprouts. The sandwich itself was half full of green beans. Now I'm unlucky that I don't like it, but it wasn't on the menu either. Friendly service, brought a sandwich and got rid of the green beans. Sandwich with the remainder of the chicken and the bean sprouts, very minimal, no piece of chicken included. No, unfortunately no more Bali chicken sandwiches here for me. At least put the green beans on the menu so there are no surprises for the customer. The specialty coffee was delicious.

Voor het eerst na de verbouwing weer eens naar Loetje gegaan. Helaas is de sfeer/entourage er niet beter op geworden. Heel hoekig en saai allemaal, het 'gezellige' is er helemaal uit. Lijkt meer op een eetzaal van een Duits wegrestaurant. En in zo'n sfeer schrik je ook nog eens van de prijzen. 25 euro voor anderhalf ons biefstuk en dan ook nog apart friet (bijna 7 euro !) moeten bestellen en dan heb je dus nog geen groenten. Kom op zeg. Eh nee, wij gaan niet meer.

Just had a nice lunch at the branch in Breukelen. We were given a table in the conservatory where it was pleasantly warm. It was quiet and that resulted in a very successful visit to this Loetje. Although it could also have been my company that made it a nice Saturday 🙏

Disappointing evening, We were really looking forward to a nice meal, but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. First of all, the evening started badly because our reservation turned out not to have been recorded properly. Very strange with 15 people... Then we had to wait a very long time for our drinks. The food itself was also very disappointing. My main course was cold and tasteless, and the dessert seemed to come straight from the freezer. Some were only fed after the others had already finished it. Total chaos never experienced before, incredibly bad! For the price we paid, we expected much more quality and service. Or certainly compensation. If it were up to me I would have left without paying... In addition, the service was very rude and disinterested. It seemed as if the restaurant could not handle the crowds, even though it was probably half full. Unfortunately, we will never come back and do not recommend the restaurant. Substandard restaurant and staff.

Loetje Breukelen, unfortunately the same experience as Loetje Almere. We had to wait a very long time before we even got a card. Then had to wait quite a while for the food, while others came and went. Shame! The food itself was very tasty. No complaints or comments to be found here. It wasn't very busy, I hope Loetje will try to improve this.

What a shame what happened to the interior here. When I think of Loetje, I think of cozy, atmospheric, somewhat brown cafe-like. Now cheap look. Really very sad. Staff are never really friendly here. That's really a shame. Making a guest feel welcome is not that difficult. I just hope that someone will bring back some atmosphere and that the other Loetjes will not undergo a re-styling... And a cake with coffee would also be nice.

What a shame what happened here. We returned to Loetje Breukelen full of expectations. We had made a reservation and there was a spot available. But once on location, we were forcefully told to choose a 2-person table and a grumpy employee sent us to the conservatory. The new atmospheric IKEA interior is in abundance from the entrance. The entire atmosphere is gone from the restaurant and this, together with the staff (who was there at the time), made them decide to leave and not return here. Do you want to go to Loetje? Totally understandable, but don't go here!!!

If you want to feel like you are sitting in the waiting room of the station, you have to go to Loetje in Breukelen. The seats are really horrible. You want to get away quickly with a chair like this. Acoustics are terrible. Everything crackles around you, especially when a couple comes with a whining small child. The couch along the wall is useless. The toilet has its door open in the middle of the building. Eating out is a party, but not here. The food? As you expect. Truly a big disappointment compared to the past. There is no feeling whatsoever in this company. Yes, a great administrator. Well it shows. Once but never again.

That this business still has a right to exist! As an owner I would be scratching my head.

Helaas is de sfeer van een 'bruine kroeg' volledig teniet gedaan na de verbouwing en de nieuwe inrichting. Het meubilair past totaal niet bij het concept: het is sfeerloos en oogt goedkoop. Waar wij vroeger regelmatig gezellig een bezoek brachten aan Loetje in Breukelen, zullen wij niet zo snel spontaan meer naar binnen lopen. Jammer, terwijl het toch zo eenvoudig is om een gezellige en warme inrichting te realiseren.

Very expensive for very little. Meat was tasty. Bad sewage smell?? I found the decoration very boring. No color or flourish. Like I was in a school canteen.

Too bad about the renovation. Not fun anymore. Chilly atmosphere. Normally we always went to Loetje Breukelen, but that won't be the case anymore. Too bad, but unfortunately. The food was perfect as always!

Every time you asked something at the bar, you were told that a colleague would come. However, they did not come. The steaks costing more than 26 and 23 euros were cold inside. The mixed lettuce also came straight from the cooler? Way too cold! Even paying was difficult. Do you have to go to the cash register now or will someone come to your table? Much better service and quality for the fire!? Too bad, please do something about it! I would also recommend deeper plates for the steak due to... the amount of fat delivered. Was service completely clean? Ambiance boring!
