Lollipop in Burgwallen-Nieuwe Zijde

Huh, maybe because Sloterdijk station is a hub for various bus companies, people with suitcases sleep inside, which surprised me somewhat. Besides, the square, while green with trees and shrubs, does need to be maintained.

Wanted to get something here, but while I was looking for my wallet in my bag (at one of the tables on the terrace) I was sternly addressed and asked to remove my ‘dirty bag’ (a shopping bag) from the table… Safe to say that I didn’t get any more coffee here.

Yesterday the employee was all alone and wanted to take a break. He still made me a drink. So incredibly kind. I hope he was able to enjoy his sandwich. He totally deserved it!!

What a terrible place. On the window they mention to serve vegan sandwiches, but they were nowhere to be found on the menu. We then asked for this and the woman helping us even denied that they serve vegan food. We then pointed at the sticker on the window and she got uncomfortable, quickly saying that they recently changed the menu. Food was really mediocre, could have made better sandwiches at home. Slow service, the waiters seemed to have zero experience. They didn't even got what we meant when we asked for a glass with our coke. They gave a coffee glass instead. Really weird. Don't go here.
