Lotus in Wijk 42 Emmermeer

Google review Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. There were 11 of us at the campsite, and we ordered food for about €150. The ordering process was already very difficult, but eventually, we managed to take the food back to the campsite. Upon arrival, it turned out that, in our opinion, the food was truly inedible. We therefore politely returned to the restaurant to report this and see if we could come to a solution together. Unfortunately, we did not get the feeling that we were being listened to, and the situation eventually escalated to the point where the police even had to be called in. Ultimately, we received about half of the amount back. What disappointed us most was the way our complaint was handled and the lack of communication and willingness to look for a solution. Additionally, several people in our group suffered from stomach pain after the meal. This did not apply to just one person, but to all 11 people. Naturally, we cannot say with certainty what caused this, but it certainly did not improve our experience. Afterwards, we were even told that we are no longer welcome in the restaurant. We can actually only be happy about that, given our experience. A restaurant does not always have to cater to everyone's taste, but when a large group indicates that something is wrong with the food, we primarily expect polite communication and an appropriate solution. Unfortunately, we did not have that experience here. Unfortunately, this is not recommended for us, and we certainly will not be returning here.

Very bad, you have to explain what you want to order multiple times and in the end your order is incorrect when you get home, and on top of that the ajam pangang and Babi pangang are inedible.

Plenty and tasty, exactly as it should be!

Unfriendly welcome. Abrupt. I left the curry sauce with the 'Loempia Lotus' untouched. It tasted spoiled. The spring roll itself was decent. The satay sauce was tasty, but the satay meat was very dry. I won't be coming back here. Back to the Boslaan after all.

It's a shame they still charge the surcharge on plastic, it has been abolished since April 2025

The best Chinese restaurant in the area. Eating in lacks atmosphere and experience...

The tastiest Chinese restaurant in the Drenthe area

Delicious food and friendly staff

Great food. Especially the spring rolls. Delicious.

Paying more than the price list says because there's an additional 50 cents for packaging. Disgraceful. Then make that clear on a poster in the restaurant or mention it on the price list.

Yesterday we got a menu for 4 people and it was very tasty, the price-quality ratio was good and we had tasty portions. Very happy

Just got menu A at lotus, fast service, friendly people, great food, I'll definitely be back

So far, always the same quality and tasty food, spring roll is recommended.

Always super fresh food and delicious

I've been coming here for my Chinese for years, you call and it's ready at the agreed time. Great taste and delicious!

Heerlijk eten. Voldoende en snel ophalen. Aanrader. De kenners!

Very good Chinese Delicious food and always friendly

Never again! What incredibly rude staff. I heard someone say behind me. So there's no point in it. (So I wasn't the only one) I had to wait about 60 minutes to even eat. Due to the language used by the lady, she arrived with the wrong order. Indicated that we had not achieved this. But she still kept going on about what a shame it was to throw it away. That's not my problem if you don't understand the language. I asked for the owner of the restaurant. According to the lady, she is the owner. The prices are extremely high in relation to the quality you get. The rice was dry, meat was old. Very disappointing. I've never experienced anything so ridiculous. Update: Which colleagues are you talking about? There was only 1 person present. When I ask for shrimp, I don't expect breaded shrimp. Probably due to the language barrier, the lady did not understand. All in all service was super and super bad. And then insist that it is a shame that food has to be thrown away. That's not my problem, maybe a Dutch course!

Once again we had a good meal at this Chinese restaurant

Got something there for the first time, Opted for tomato soup and dish number 54. Surprisingly tasty. Tomato soup well flavored and filling. And dish just really good. Not soaked in sauce. No greasy noodles. Well prepared meat. Delicious food. Definitely worth repeating! Highly recommended!

The lady was unfriendly, didn't write down our order and we ordered a lot. First time here due to holiday. The food was not complete, but it was paid for. The food was hot, but really not tasty. The prawn crackers were good and the fried banana the best. Certainly not a good Chinese with unmotivated staff. The place was also empty at dinner time. Just drive a little further. Bad!

Ordered chicken spring rolls and got them with pork. Fried in old fat for far too long, just tastes like fries or something. Tent was also empty, probably for a reason.

Never again this Chinese! Unfortunately a very bad experience due to poor quality of food. Meat is overly salty, making it unedible, babi pangang sauce also not tasty. Fried banana was very hard, fried for a long time, could have broken a window with it and the banana could not be tasted. Even the pork satay was not tasty, the meat was simply dirty. Nasi tasted stale. I have never had the experience of having to throw everything in the container because it was simply inedible. Picked up around 5pm and I was not received kindly either. the lady was stiff and curt. I also arrive in a completely empty restaurant, no table was occupied and I was the only one who came to pick up at 5pm?? I didn't get a good feeling then, I now understand why. First time ordering here but never again. 26 euros worth of food thrown into the container. I hope I never experience this again. Therefore not recommended!

Our experience with this Chinese was not too good unfortunately. There was little taste to the food

Collection only, but it is of good quality

Heerlijk eten , vooral de kiploempia. En een fijne gastvrouw .

Geweldig smakelijk eten. Goede hoeveelheid.vriendelijk personeel.

Heerlijk gegeten, vriendelijk geholpen. Fantastische menu's

Lekkere bami. Kipfilet in pikante saus is mijn favoriet.

Gewoonweg super.

Prima chinees!
