Never again. The employees were extremely disrespectful. They were very rude to foreigners and truly insolent and insulting. I asked a question in a normal way and was immediately shamed. I immediately left the store without buying anything because the employee immediately became aggressive and disrespectful. I would definitely not recommend this store; such unnecessary behavior is definitely not a reflection of a good, reputable business. What a shame!

This is a cafe you must pass through to board the cruise ship. You can have a simple coffee or beverage and use the restroom.

2 wines @ 4,50€ nicely filled, good taste!

Paid 4 euro for a cappuccino, got served a vending machine coffee in a small paper cup, even though they had an espresso machine and cappuccino glasses.

An amazing experience!!! We booked the wine and cheese cruise lasting one and a half hours. The wine was "honest" with unlimited quantity and the cheeses were very good. What stood out, however, was the staff. Everyone was very kind and cheerful with a lot of humor and a tour of Amsterdam that will be unforgettable!!!! I highly recommend it!!!

Nice café located directly on a canal from where the tours start

We'd bought tickets for Madame Tussauds and a canal cruise through Amsterdam on Saturday the 26th through a website. After a brief wait, the Andre van Duin canal boat arrived. We were warmly welcomed by a female skipper. What a lovely person. She shared a wealth of information in a humorous way. A great sense of humor. We had a wonderful laugh on the Prinsengracht 😉. Definitely recommended. We didn't eat anything, so I can't review it. It did look nice, though, and the staff greeted us warmly.

I tried to order drinks for my son and me. The woman behind the bar helped someone who was apparently more in her line of sight. Then she started chatting with a colleague. Other people were getting drinks from the fridge. My son thought that was how it worked. He grabbed a drink. Suddenly, the woman started yelling at my son. Now she saw us. She said this wasn't supposed to happen. How was it supposed to happen? She confronted her about her behavior. She got a nasty mouth, saying it was a work meeting with a colleague. Really? She put the drinks back and walked out. It was hopeless. The colleague then told me, the customer, that I shouldn't yell at her colleague like that. I spoke very softly, so I didn't feel offended. It was a world turned upside down.

They don't want to refill our water bottle when we come off their 1 hour cruise in the sun!

Very poor service and bad treatment. My elderly mother was with me and wanted to sit down. There were only high bar stools available. I asked if they could bring a regular, lower chair, as they had these chairs outside, even though it was cold and rainy. Unfortunately, they refused. Therefore, we didn't try anything from their menu.

It was really scandalous, bought a boat trip and something in the cafe and you are not even allowed to go to the toilet for free, it COSTS 1 euro to go to a mega dirty toilet

We had good coffee. With some nice breads. Nice place. Right on the riverbank.

One of the worst experiences ever – and on our anniversary We were helped by an employee who clearly did not feel like doing his job and also deliberately misinformed us. He said the next boat wouldn't arrive for an hour and a half, while that was completely wrong. As a result, we missed our reserved boat and were unable to use the service we paid for. To make matters worse, he also said that we could request our money back through the administration. But as soon as we tried to do that, we were simply fobbed off and they suddenly claimed that there were “no queues” and that we could “just take another boat” – which is completely inconsistent with what their employee on site said. In short: deception, poor communication and no respect for customers at all. Not recommended.

Tour is your regular one but the guy at the ticket office was checking his phone and I had to help the students on how to use the credit card machine. He simply didn't guide. Just sat there and read the news!

We went to buy tickets and take one of the canal boat cruises, with dinner. I was surprised that the food was very delicious, the service was exquisite and the experience was very cool.

Starting point for a wine and cheese cruise in Amsterdam. Our captain managed to create a party on board.

Pancake with apple banana and chocolate sauce and paid well over €16 and didn't end up feeling full. Apples weren't peeled, the taste was below average, but the view was amazing

Worst restaurant experience of my life. Ate here 3 years ago when touring Amsterdam and still think about it to this day. Reading the reviews I see the same waitresses still work there. The older brunette waitress was hands down the rudest woman I have ever met and I hope to never see her again.

I order a boat tour. During the tour I wanted to go to the toilet, but there was none. Okay, no problem, I'll do it in the cafe, I thought. I walk to that café and assume that I can just get in for free, since I have a ticket. Then comes a big bad fat witch who doesn't trust me. You just have to pay for it, she says. Well, I pay and go to the bathroom. A man slips through, and she speaks to me. "Sir, it just costs one euro." Meanwhile, my girlfriend is waiting and she sees 2 people going in together. And what does that witch say? Exactly: nothing. When: July 31, 2024 around 7:20 PM. Who: woman, fat, black hair, white, between 18 and 25 years old.

Over rated. Annoying atmosphere, everyone who works there exudes disinterest. They treat tourists like cattle. And the tourist accepts this impersonal treatment.

Good for waiting for the cruise

Delicious coffee and hot chocolate. Muffins were very tasty.

I was served right away, but a euro for the toilet while you are a customer is ridiculous. And if you ask for money, keep it polite.

1hr of wonderful boat ride to explore and understand the city of Amsterdam, located just opposite to the Amsterdam central station, has got a coffee shop, and has some piers to access. Pre booking is advised. There is a commentary in 16 different international languages, which Includes Hindi as well. The staff is cooperative and friendly. All together a great experience

After a nice dinner cruise (Lovers) through the canals, with good food, we arrived back at the dock. Several people needed to use the toilet, including some senior citizens who were not able to use the toilet on the boat (quite small and low), wanted to use the toilet in the Lovers Cafe. The cafe was closing and the Lovers bartender/waiter would not let people in and communicated this in a very rude manner. This attitude at the cafe was disappointing at the end of a nice cruise, with great and friendly staff on board the boat.

There were a lot of people so I didn't get to taste it, but I stopped by to get on the boat here. The young employees are very handsome🤭

Nice cafe with atmosphere. It is noisy and crowded here, but that's because cruises on the Dutch canals take place from here. At the booth next door you can buy a ticket for a cruise or other Dutch attractions, and in the café you can wait until departure time. Good coffee, alcohol and something to eat on site. Toilet costs 1 euro.

Nice experience in Amsterdam with beautiful canal views

We booked a "pizza tour" through the canals of Amsterdam. I liked everything. Everything is clear, organized at every stage. The team is great.

Does not value customers. Insulting staff. Coffee here is also not good. Go to the Starbucks inside the station.

Site not recommended, you have to pay €1 to go to the toilet when it should be free. Waiter about 40 years old with a very thick beard and a waitress who looks Arab, also very rude. The facilities are not very well heated since cold air enters from outside.

I'm seriously going to waste my time explaining how unpleasant they have been. The waitress was rude and very impolite, we had paid for the bus and boat tour and they told us that we could enter the bar. Before ordering we wanted to go to the bathroom and we had to pay 1 euro even though we were customers. The super rude waiter in his early thirties and a rude and aggressive middle-aged waitress who spoke Spanish. The truth is not recommended. If you don't want to work with the public or with tourists, study or train in something else.

Our terrible experience in this poorly air-conditioned place is a shame, cold air enters from all sides, apart from this the waiters are very unpleasant, rude, rude and violent. We went on a cruise with Lovers Canal Cruises. During the cruise, our 1-year-old daughter soiled her diaper. So, we went to the Lovers Cafe located just off the boat. We explained the situation, and despite having paid for a cruise with this company, the person told us that if we wanted to use the restroom to change our daughter, we had to make a purchase. In this world, even the dignity of a one-year-old has become a paid commodity... Shame on you. It was a dark and rainy night, so we didn't change our daughter outside. Our daughter had to remain in her own mess for another 40 minutes until we found a place with understanding and compassionate people. Many public restrooms are not properly equipped to change children. This should be a mandatory facility in all public restrooms.

I can't say anything about the food or drinks because I left the place even before ordering. The waitress has been rude to me since I came in, and I can read similar experiences in other reviews. I wanted to use the toilet and I was surprised that every costumer have to pay 1€ to use it. I found it ridiculous so I asked her for clarifications and she just said "of course everyone have to pay". I took my stuff from the table and left. Your decision to pay 1€ for the toilet, but not good for me!

I remember having a coffee here and a brownie a long time ago. But the brownie wasn't your normal choco cake. I didn't know where or who I was for 6 hours, but I will never forget it. Ps. I wonder if they are still on the menu.❓

I bought the festival of lights package with dinner included and they didn't give me dinner at the lovers cafe, it's a very bad service and nobody knew about the package they made me waste my time and didn't give me anything. And very rude waitress

Good price and close to a train Station

No entiendo que se deba pagar por usar el baño siendo cliente (¿en este país no os lavais las manos antes de comer?) pero lo que menos entiendo es que tengas que pagar por usar un baño sucio, sin papel y con un jabón diluido en agua. Menos mal que esto no es algo generalizado en este país y hay muchos otros donde los baños además de ser gratis para el cliente también están limpios. No me gusta suspender a los negocios que visitó por lo que os regalo 1 estrella más de las que merecéis a pesar de que vosotros no regalais ni una sonrisa.

Had different varieties for herbal teas and had nice vanilla cake for breakfast with nice music in the background. The Spanish lady who served me excellent service. Inside was cleaned well. Would visit again. Thank you

Had a lovely pie and coffee overlooking the canal, stepped away from the huddle and bustle. Cost 5 euros which is reasonable for a busy tourist spot in Amsterdam and very tasty, would recommend.

Place was good. But coffee was slightly less than average. Didn't look like the guy put in any efforts at all to make a good coffee or to serve customers with respect!

Bitter baleen was good. They delivered it after a while but it was so hot and good. Ordered kasteel Batista which was very good. Expensive menu though.

Well executed food, despite the menu being ordinary. Pleasant view. Right above one of the big big parking garages (that you can prebook) and next to one of the exits. We visited after taking a "Lover's" cruise, and enjoyed the views.

The start point & cafe of Lover canal tours. Reasonably priced for the City Center cafe. I had 8 meat ball croquettes with a mild mustard dip for €7 and can recommend them, but be aware, the filling is very, very hot!
