The food is tasty as always. However, both in Stein and Sittard, they do have a habit of putting more sauce on your plate than anything else. But still tasty. Service takes a long time. They don't take advantage of the nice weather by bringing in extra staff. A shame.

Beautiful restaurant and well laid out. You can choose to sit inside, in the conservatory, or on the terrace, so there is plenty of choice. Additionally, the staff is incredibly friendly and the food arrived super fast. The atmosphere inside is also very cozy.

My wife and I had booked a weekend in Sittard. What a charming city! And apparently, we were just lucky to be there last weekend (05 and 06/09), because we had all sorts of things planned. In the afternoon, we decided to have lunch at LUNA. The menu looked appealing online, and since the sun was shining brightly, we took a nice seat on the terrace. We both ordered a glass of white wine and chose the Korean Chicken Burger, with, of course… bacon as an extra option. 😋 To our surprise, there turned out to be no bacon in the burger. After just one bite, we mentioned this. It was immediately suggested that they bring a new burger *with* bacon. We didn't really want that, but we thought it was a nice gesture! 😉 Eventually, the bacon was brought separately so we could put it on our burger ourselves. The burger itself was well-cooked and served with a tasty sauce. The bacon provided that extra touch and completed the experience perfectly. So, we certainly enjoyed it! What also struck us was that practically every dish we saw passing by looked fantastic. Little works of art on the plate! Clearly, things aren't just thrown onto a plate. 😄 In short: we had a delicious meal there and would definitely recommend LUNA. So, if you are in Sittard and looking for a nice place to have lunch or dinner? Definitely stop by!

It is interesting to see a brasserie charge no less than €7 for a bottle of tap water filled by hand. Running a business is fine, but this smells like something else.

If you want to have lunch nearby, this is the best place.

Have eaten there a few times now. Great quality and service. But how dare you charge €0.75 for a thimbleful of mayonnaise? It really doesn't fit a restaurant like this and causes a (minor) frustration when paying. Handle this differently.

A cozy terrace with plenty of space, delicious homemade ice tea (highly recommended), and the food was tasty too. We had Italian loaded fries, but there was very little sauce on them and the rest of the toppings could have been a bit more generous.

During an ANWB city walk—highly recommended, by the way—we ended up at Luna for lunch. It was difficult choosing from the extensive menu; we eventually went for the bread with croquettes. The croquettes were warm and tasty, but could have been hotter. The brown bread was fine, but the white bread was a ciabatta, which didn't go very well with the croquettes. The accompanying salad was fine. The service was friendly and efficient.

Caramel Iced coffe is one of the best in Sittard !

We had a delicious meal; the nachos were also really super tasty, a good combination with the seed sauce and the avocado sauce. Because of that, it wasn't too spicy, and that is very nice.

A fantastic restaurant right in the middle of the market square! Great drinks, delicious food, and friendly waitresses. Highly recommended if you're in Sittard! 👍

A great place for a relaxed lunch! We had lunch here and were very satisfied. The value for money is excellent; we only spent between €10 and €20 per person. The food was delicious (4 out of 5 stars), and the service was absolutely first-class, attentive, and deserves the full 5 stars! We also really liked the ambiance. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasantly quiet, making it easy to have a relaxed conversation. Reservations aren't required, which makes spontaneous visits super easy. There's a really good and wide selection of dishes for vegetarians, and other dietary restrictions are also clearly indicated on the menu. They even cater to the little ones with a separate children's menu. One minor drawback is the limited parking directly at the restaurant, as there are no on-site parking spaces. However, this isn't a big deal, as you can find good parking options just a 3- to 4-minute walk away. Overall, we give it a well-deserved 4 out of 5 stars and will definitely be back!

After a medical incident at my partner's table, we were supported so well and warmly by the team! They made room in every way, offered support, and thought along with us until the ambulance arrived. A huge thumbs up to the staff; we would love to come back as soon as possible to finish our evening out! Bravo!

LUNA Food & Drink: Unfortunately a disappointment We had made a reservation in advance, and upon arrival, a neatly set table was waiting for us. A good start, but unfortunately, that was where the attention to our wishes ended. The sandwiches were fine in themselves, but otherwise bland and unimaginative. Nothing you couldn't just as easily make yourself at home, and for an outing, you expect just a little more. The coffee was also disappointing. I ordered a double espresso but was served a regular black coffee. When I asked about it, I was told that it really was a double espresso. That was clearly incorrect, and as a guest, that doesn't make you happy. The cava was the biggest letdown. The bubbles were nowhere to be found, as if the bottle had been open for quite some time. For a glass of bubbly that is supposed to be festive, this was a weak experience. The atmosphere didn't help either. It is not a cozy place to sit, and that didn't improve the overall experience. All in all, a disappointing visit. The foundation is there with a polite welcome, but there is still much to be gained on the points that really matter: the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere.

What started as a lovely experience with friendly staff and tasty food unfortunately ended with the realization that an extra €1 per piece is charged for sauces with the fries, without being asked if we wanted any. We were also allowed to choose between regular or sweet potato fries for the main course, and it wasn't immediately mentioned that an extra €2 is charged for the sweet potato fries. All in all, quite a surprise on the bill in the end. Not very fair in my eyes…

The two of us came for drinks and snacks. We ordered a sharing platter. For €15.95 per person, you expect something. It was very meager. A small bowl of nachos, a small bread roll (2 pieces per person) with 2 shot glasses of spread, 2 slices of Serrano ham, 4 mini croquettes, and 2 fried chickens. Tasty, but way too expensive. The bubbles were also way too expensive for the quality of the drink. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, but too expensive for what you get. A huge disappointment and a step backward.

Delicious food. We opted for the weekday set menu. Two courses for €27.50. That way you save a few euros. Extensive meal and tasty cocktails. The staff is friendly.

It is a cozy restaurant, but our spot at the round table by the passageway was a bit cramped and a bit colder, because the door opened and closed often.

The service is very friendly and good. Lunch: 3 stars. Food is good because of the price-quality ratio. The kids' toastie at €6.95 is very pricey (2 slices of white casino bread, ham/cheese, and a small container of cucumber). I would have believed €3.50. Especially when you see that 2 slices with toppings & a cup of soup cost €15.95. The brown slices are very small, so in my opinion, not enough for an adult. The toppings were generous and very tasty, though (tuna and Serrano ham). On the other hand, the cup of tomato soup is served with half a roll (€3.75) and is excellent in terms of price-quality ratio. €5.95 for a 500ml bottle of filtered water is also too high.

Nice spot in the square with good food

Had a delicious meal during a weekend on the Pieterpad in Sittard. Tasty calamari with aioli as a starter and the beef tenderloin. The carpaccio and satay also tasted good. Returned the next day for a drink in the conservatory.

We ordered 2 satays and a salad. As much as I enjoy lunch at Luna, the dinner is meager and tasteless. The meat on the satay was barely seasoned and watery. The fries were undercooked and the salad minimal and meager. A real shame!

The food is fine, nothing special. I do find it odd why you can only pay by card here. Cash is simply legal tender.

After the starter, it started getting busier in our corner. Most people were already eating. We asked the staff where our food was. Forgot to pass on the information, There was more than 1 hour between the starter and the main course, ridiculous. The main course tasted rushed, On top of that cold and pasta just al dente. Will we go again? I'm hesitant

We sat on the glass-enclosed, heated terrace, which was wonderfully cozy. The Tony's coffee/latte macchiato and/or the bokkenpootjes ice cream cake are definitely recommended. The sandwiches are also delicious. The service is very friendly. Highly recommended.

The first and last time, the tables were way too close together, so there was no privacy. I ordered mussels, but they weren't to my liking. Cheap, small mussels, and for that price. So, a big no for us.

We were first in Valkenburg and then continued on to our hotel in Sittard. Luckily for us, the restaurant there didn't have a free table, so we ended up here. It was lovely; a patio heater kept us warm, and the service was very attentive and friendly. I'm not usually a fan of burgers, but this one was excellent. Perfect meat! We felt very comfortable. Thank you!

Had a three-course dinner there yesterday with work, and it was fantastic! Delicious dishes, beautifully presented, and more than enough. Friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. So, a solid 10 out of 10.

We were away for a weekend and were recommended by locals as a great restaurant at Luna. We couldn't agree more! The atmosphere is lovely, the service was very fast and friendly. We arrived at 6:00 PM and left again at 7:00 PM. The gnocchi was fantastic and highly recommended. So were the homemade mocktails, although the 7up with lime was a bit sweet. It's a personal preference. ;-) Points for improvement? Perhaps a few more vegetarian options would be welcome, and it's a shame you can't pay cash. However, this was clearly stated when we made our reservation.

This is one of our family’s favorite spots in Sittard. The atmosphere is really nice, and the staff are polite and helpful without being pushy. You won’t have to wait long for your food, and it’s always busy — which just shows how good the service is.

Zeer onprofessioneel personeel. Het duurde 10 min voordat er iemand de drankenkaart kwam brengen. We vroegen ook meteen de menukaart, werd neergelegd bij ons en niemand heeft daarna nog gevraagd wat we wilden eten, let wel: WE ZATEN ALLEEN IN DE AANBOUW!!! Personeel keek bepaald niet blij, alleen maar gezichten dienop onweer stonden. We hebben betaald en zijn gelijk weg gegaan!!!

Absolutely not worth the money. The food is far from something special or really nice. Small portions, standard wholesale ingredients and not creative. And it’s quite expensive. Service was good, but could not make up for the rest.

Food was very tasty and very nicely presented. Atmosphere was also cozy and the service was very friendly. Price was 90 euros for 2 people starter, main course and 2 drinks per person.

The Luna in Sittard is an absolute must for a delicious breakfast! The ambiance is great, super cozy and modern at the same time. The service has always been attentive and fast. Croissants, rolls, bread, pancakes, butter, sausage, cheese, jam, scrambled eggs, tuna salad, and a large dessert are served on a tiered stand. With a hot drink, it costs less than €18 – more than fair. Reservations are easy to make via the website. You can also indicate there if you are vegetarian, for example. Payment is only possible by card, but you'll be informed of this right at the beginning, so there are no nasty surprises when paying. While we've always had groups with children there, I personally think the Luna is even better for a breakfast with friends. However, we had a very negative experience at dinner this week. Two of us were dining together and ordered an appetizer and a main course, but when we ordered, we didn't remember to mention that both dishes should be served at the same time. So the appetizer came first, and that's when we realized the oversight. I spoke to the waitress, explained the situation, and said I could only have the main course (a vegetarian salad) if it arrived within five minutes; we had to leave within the next fifteen minutes. Otherwise, I would have to cancel the order. I was told they would inquire and let me know. As the time passed and there was no salad, I proactively went to one of the waitresses, who then removed the salad from my bill. Then the waiter who had taken our order intervened, and the ranting began: The waiter was immediately super rude and explained to me that the salad was being prepared, that one was an appetizer and the other a main course, and that they were normally served one after the other. I understood everything – except for his unfriendly tone! – and I explicitly said that it was a misunderstanding and that I didn't blame him. It had gone wrong, but unfortunately we had to leave. He stuck to his guns, complained the whole time while I paid the bill, and just wouldn't let it go. Very condescending and unfriendly to the extreme. But the "hammer" was that afterward, when I went back to the table so we could quickly finish our drinks and finish the appetizer (by the way, much too small for the price!), the waiter repeatedly pointed his finger at us, shook his head, and openly spoke badly about us to his colleagues. And all this in a packed restaurant. That was absolutely inappropriate and unprofessional. For me, that's reason enough to walk right out of the Luna if this waiter works in the restaurant's service department.

Zeer slecht onprofessioneel personeel incl de bedrijfsleidster. Het eten is ook ondermaats voor wat je moet betalen. Heb je zin in een leuke gezellige avond/middag of ochtend met goede service dan is LUNA Sittard absoluut niet de place to be.

Very bad untrained staff incl. manager. Bad service, the food is really substandard compared to other restaurants on the market. If you want a cozy evening with good food, LUNA Sittard is certainly not recommended.

Lovely in the sun on the terrace. Thought it was nowhere better with a good bite and a drink and a beautiful Tuesday afternoon after an incredible piece of cycling to recover.

I went for drinks today. It said for 2 people or more. Then you get 4 small sandwiches: 2 tapenade, 1 allioli, and olives, 6 cubes of cheese, 2 slices of meat, 2 chicken nuggets, and 4 bitterballen. And then you have to pay 32 euros. If I go to the store, I can eat for 2 days. It's ridiculous for what they ask, they can also write 16.00 per person and not 16.00 for 2 people. So I ate there for the last time

I've been visiting Luna regularly for lunch with some friends for a year now and the food is great. There was once a period (2018-2019) where everything was too sweet or there were too many sauces, but that time is over. The food is sublime, no matter what you order. The fish salad is recommended. Good selection of beers. Absolutely fine!

We had a delicious meal at Luna last week. The decoration of the building is very nice, the menus are very nice. The staff is friendly, fast and the food is delicious. Recommended! 🥰

A wide choice on the menu and the atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice!

For my partner's birthday we had dinner at Luna restaurant, which was a very nice and surprising experience. Very pleasant with a nice young and informal audience and staff, something you would expect in a student city. What was particularly striking was that the presentation of the dishes was very tasteful and creative. For the starter: Tom Kha soup, the broth was served separately from the contents. A way of presenting that I have only ever encountered once before. Afterwards we were surprised by the service with an ice cream sundae and fire candle. My partner had a small embroidery on her sweater, made by her mother, with the text: 'It's my birthday'. Although we had not made it public, one of the employees noticed this and organized this surprise for us. Very attentive and eye for detail! The only downside is that we live in Haarlem, but if we are in the area again we will definitely visit again.

Graag wil ik een ervaring delen over ons recente bezoek bij Luna. Twee van ons hadden de ontbijt etagère besteld. De serveerster vroeg vervolgens of we de ontbijtplank of de lunch etagère wilden, waarop we opnieuw aangaven dat we graag de ontbijt etagère wilden. Toch werd uiteindelijk de lunch etagère geserveerd. Toen we dit aangaven bij de serveerster met rood haar, vertelde zij dat ze ons al had gevraagd welke we precies wilden. Toen we op de kaart aanwezen welke etagère we bedoelden, werd ons verteld dat deze alleen in het weekend op reservering beschikbaar is. Het zou echter netjes geweest zijn als dit van tevoren was uitgelegd, zodat we een bewuste keuze hadden kunnen maken. Vooral omdat de lunch etagère producten bevatte die niet voor iedereen lustte. Wat jammer was, is dat er vervolgens over ons gesproken werd met een collega, wat wij konden horen. Dit voelde niet prettig. Door de afstandelijke/onvriendelijke houding van de serveerster voelden wij ook niet de ruimte om dit aan te kaarten tijdens ons bezoek.
