I sit to have a latte and ask for some water. First they told me to get up and get water myself in the toilet. Then I explain I would like some hot water for my throat in my hot bottle which is already half full. When I go to pay, they charge me for a tea. Then they also charge me 40e, wrongly, which is the bill for another table. Then they say they will give me back the money only if I pay first my bill! I don’t know what is wrong with these people but check your bills if you really have to go there. Plenty of lovely and honest cafe on the same road. Also, they have no clue about allergies. But if you have lost in basic courtesy and education, that s to be expected I guess.

Very nice place with friendly people who genuinely enjoy working there and helping you. The sandwiches are so royally topped that it's hard to find the bread underneath the toppings. One of my favorite places in Den Haag

I visited Lunch Bar Sammy with high expectations and was pleased to find that the staff—particularly our waitress—was exceptionally kind and courteous. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell short due to several issues, primarily related to the food and how the concern was handled. I ordered the salmon and avocado toast, which, to my disappointment, contained very little salmon. More concerningly, I encountered a fish spine in the salmon and nearly swallowed it. When I brought this to the waitress's attention, it was acknowledged, but no action was taken. Given the nature of the issue, I found the lack of response quite unsatisfactory. In summary, while the service was friendly, the quality of the food and the lack of appropriate follow-up left a poor impression. I sincerely hope these points are taken into account to improve future customer experiences.

This place was recommended to us as an alternative to the other places around the area. The food was really tasty and the atmosphere was pleasant. However, the service is what makes this a three star review, unfortunately. Our waiter seemed very disinterested and showed a real lack of care. This would be perfectly understandable had it been busy and they needed to rush a little, but that was not the case. I hope it was just a bad day on their part and not the fact they had to be there because it seems like a very nice place to work. This is not a reflection of the venue overall, just our experience from that day. I would still return and taste more of their delicious food!

No hello upon arrival, or did you like it/was everything to your liking at checkout. Had to wait a long time for the lunch dishes. Once it was on the table, it turned out that a main ingredient, the coleslaw, was missing and there was only green lettuce leaves and pieces of cucumber. A shame, because it seemed like a fun thing.

Came here for a brunch with my friend and mylo. The service is extremely friendly, helpful and prolly amazing people. The food was well prepared, fairly priced and presented swiftly. The coffee and juice were on point too. I loved everything about my experience and will be back soon. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Lunchroom Sammy! My regular spot for a snack, drink and conversations... nice place, good service and food/drinks. Highly recommended if you are looking for a place in Zeehelden Quarter to get a cup of coffee or have a nice breakfast/lunch... The staff are also fantastic and always up for a chat.

The average Dutch eatery, you shouldn't go to the restaurant if you are hungry. We had to wait 1 hr with a glass of water on the table for a couple of sandwiches. Never again on a Sunday.

Really nice atmosphere and good food

What a nice lunch bar in this cozy street. Delicious lunch dishes, something for everyone. Also a variation on the specials next to the menu every week. I had the pulled chicken sandwich and my girlfriend a pita jackfruit. After dinner we had a delicious cake with a honey cinnamon latte! Really enjoy! We will be back!

We had a wonderful brunch on Saturday. With only an hour's notice we were able to get a table for 7 people. The food was good and we didn't have to wait long.

The most delicious breakfast on the street... the cook is a queen at the wooden spoon 👩‍🍳♥️ I've rarely had such delicious avocado bread!

Nice place with friendly service. Located in a pleasant street. The brioche pulled chicken was incredibly tasty, actually tasted like a kind of simmered meat/rendang. Really tasty. The matcha and chai latte were also very tasty. Recommended!

Delicious coffee, lovely people and affordable lunch. I love coming here, alone with a book or just catching up with friends.

I had the pita which was way too greasy and not delicious. Also the lemonade was basically water and syrup, too sweet nothing like a real lemonade.

Great place for having lunch, short but varied menu. Good coffee and excellent home mate cakes. The (all female and young) staff were very friendly. A bit pricey but good quality.

Very friendly service, great vibes, delicious food. Ideal lunch break. We chose the bao buns with beef and jackfruit and finished with a flat white and carrot cake.

The ambiance is great, the food is decent but the service omg. Half of your order isn’t delivered only for the 2nd time you asking because the waitress doesn’t note it.. if you order a coffee you aren’t being checked on whether you want to eat or not, I have been twice billed for items that I did not order because once again they don’t write down the orders at the table. You will never be asked if the food is to your liking or not.. but let’s say that’s something of a Dutch custom. Oh and of course if there is more than 3 tables your check will take 10 minutes to prepare.. The staff is rather neutral but definitely not attentive. Not great.
