Simply a very pleasant lunchroom with delicious, high-quality products at a fair price. The atmosphere and service are also excellent. They know what they're doing, and that's something you don't see very often these days.

Had lunch here today. Since we haven't been to Kijkduin for a few years, it was a surprise how nice and beautiful it has become here. The lunch with milkshake, four people just €75. Considering the seaside resort, fairly cheap and excellent in taste. Definitely recommended.

Yesterday we spontaneously came by with a group of 24 people. Despite the fact that it was already busy, we were helped quickly and properly. The staff remained friendly and a mistake, on our part, with the order was neatly resolved. The food arrived quickly and was also very good in quality. In short, highly recommended. Small tip: if you come with a large group, call in advance. Thanks for the welcome.

Wow. What a wonderful sweet woman in service. Who also remained polite while a rude woman reacted very antisocially to her. And the food. 1 word, AMAZING. It's that it's a 1.5 hour drive. Otherwise I would come every week.

My mother recently visited this establishment with my son, where she was unfortunately treated in a particularly rude manner. My parents have been coming here for lunch regularly for quite some time, and were always satisfied with the quality of the food — the fried eggs in particular were very much appreciated. During this visit, my mother ordered a hot chocolate, but forgot to mention that she meant a hot chocolate. When she tried to explain this, the employee reacted in an extremely unprofessional manner by hitting the counter and addressing her in a blunt tone with: “How can you possibly have only just said that now? Madam, this is really not acceptable.” My mother calmly indicated that she had not been asked whether she wanted a hot or cold version. With over 15 years of experience in the hospitality and event organization industry, I can say that I have never experienced a customer being treated like this because of a minor misunderstanding. The tone, the aggressive attitude and talking about the situation in front of other guests made my mother very uncomfortable. The pleasant atmosphere she was used to was completely absent. Although my parents appreciated this place before, this was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back for them. Previous experiences with unfriendly staff were still overlooked, but this incident really went too far. For an omelet or ice cream, we will now prefer to choose another location, where customer friendliness does come first. Afterwards, my son was given a frisbee, which was a friendly gesture in itself. But that does not take away the rude behavior - a friendly explanation or apology would have been more appropriate. Even in warm weather, I have helped customers with hot drinks without having an opinion about it, let alone addressing them in an unpleasant manner. I now also see similar comments about customer friendliness on other platforms such as TripAdvisor. Perhaps it is a good idea to consider hiring friendlier staff or giving the current team extra training. Unfortunately, the owners are the unfriendly staff in my experience and from the reviews. The quality of the food deserves a team that can match that in service.

A busy beach day in May. Staff works quickly and remains friendly. The lady behind the counter apologized for the toilets because there was no time to clean them in between. But they were still very clean. We only had fries and 1 frikadel. The fries were really tasty. And my son also finished the frikadel quickly. Highly recommended!

Disappointing. Come in, we only have ice cream. Do they close at 7pm...! Which snack bar closes at 7 p.m.? Yes, we are open 7 days a week, so I'm done with it once in a while. So, personally, I find that disappointing. Then I would say close on Monday or just don't open a snack bar. Other than that it looked good and because I hate people who have sex with ants (ant fuckers): everything is good but I only give 4 stars.. annoying behavior so I just give 5. Because it seems like a great place, apart from the opening hours 🙄

Looks like a very luxurious snack bar. But boy. Have a nice meal. Had a cheeseburger that was so tasty, you wouldn't even get it in a star restaurant. My partner has a gluten allergy. She was able to eat a delicious carpaccio sandwich.

This is our favorite place to go eat in Kijkduin! We probably eat here at least once a week! Our kids love the barbecue chicken loaded fries and I love their hamburgers with sweet potato fries. Great place and good prices- the owners are the ones cooking and serving- not just a chain. There’s also vegetarian options which are good.

You can eat the most delicious golden yellow fries here! Nice place to sit but you can also take away. Good atmosphere and friendly service. Recommended!

I went to the Taste Of Kijkduin for dinner last Saturday, I had a loaded Fries with a sundae afterwards. The food tasted very good with good service.

The staff also looks well cared for, very friendly with a lot of catering experience. The toilets very clean. And when the sun shines it is wonderful to relax on the terrace. Had lunch there every Wednesday and it's a party every time! My favorite is the vitello tonato and my husband's delicious shrimp salad. Highly recommended!!! After walking past many times, we decided to have a bite to eat here. And that worked out quite well. We chose the fish and chips and the loaded Fries bbq chicken. It was a good choice, the fish was real cod and not greasy, nice large pieces and the loaded Fries are also excellent. Good price-quality ratio. Not very pleasant, but that can be an erlen moment. Quite quiet in terms of audience, a bit recovering from the beach walk with the dog (several present where you are eating). All in all, pretty good, you can easily have a bite here.
