A haven in Axel! Delicious apple pie and coffee. By far the best apple pie in the area, and at a reasonable price!

Every time we are in Axel we come to this little restaurant. Even when it is busy, the service is impeccable and the people are tremendously friendly. The choice is a bit limited, but everything tastes really fresh and good. The prices of the snacks are very reasonable, the warm meals a bit more expensive. It's a place to come back to!!

We hadden bij iemand gezien dat die een dikke omelet aan het eten was. Met bruin brood. Zag er heel smakelijk uit. We bestelden ons ook elk ene. Ik vroeg uitdrukkelijk om de mijne niet volledig uit te bakken. Dat er zeker nog eiwit mocht op liggen. Jammer genoeg was hij wel te ver uitgebakken. Hij was wel lekker. Kregen wit brood. Was niet zo erg, want ik lust zowel wit als bruin brood. Misschien moet je er zelf naar vragen. Komen hem hier zeker nog eten wanneer we in Axel zijn.

In dit restaurantje heb ik lekker gegeten met mijn vijf zussen. De befienkng was vriendelijk en informeel. De soep was zelfgemaakt en prima van smaak. Degenen die een ander voorgerecht hadden gekozen, waren daar zeer tevreden over. Ook de hoofdgerechten en de toetjes vielen zeer in de smaak. De porties waren zeer ruim. Je gaat hier naar buiten zonder hongergevoel, maar als je niet oppast wel een paar kilo zwaarder. Sommige gerechten werden zonder problemen aangepast aan de wensen. De rekening viel ons mee. De inrichting van dit restaurznt is enigzins gedateerd.

We had the today's lunch here. We had home made tomato soup as a starter and beef stew with hand cut french fries as a main course for not even 16 euros and it was very good. Friendly staff. Family run restaurant.
