We had our New Year's Eve dinner on a very busy and possibly understaffed Monday evening. The older waitress unfortunately struggled to cope with the pressure. The food was delicious, as were the cocktails and mocktails.

We recently wanted to have a drink, we waited half an hour, when someone came outside for another table, he didn't come to us, so we just left

During our bike ride, we stopped for a refreshing beer and a tasty bite to eat. Friendly, efficient service despite the crowds on the terrace. Highly recommended.

Absolutely awful. We called the waiter 4 times, each time told “another waiter will come” — no one ever did. Tapas platter dumped on the table before drinks, dirty glass, and endless waiting. They forgot the bread, then when they finally brought it and we ordered more, they gave us less than before. We were ready to have dinner but walked out, just like the table behind us, who also left after being completely ignored. And this isn’t the first time: last time it took 35 minutes to get dessert, and when we finally got the bill, they’d charged us for several drinks we never had (we got the money back, but still).

Slow service, wrong orders, only after 45 minutes did someone come to ask if we wanted drinks. The DJ is a nice idea, but he looks awkward among the very elderly people. It's all well-intentioned, but accept that you're not the one.

Delicious, flavorful dishes. One drawback: you sit way too close together. Plus, the staff has to squeeze through the narrow opening, which nearly hit me on the head with a plate. Too bad.

Service was slow; we ordered drinks using a QR code and had to wait over 40 minutes. The food was okay, and the terrace was beautiful!

The few staff that were present did their best...but more than 3 hours for 2 dishes is a very long time

friendly service, adjustment to the menu was no problem, long waiting time for the food, 3 hours in total for drinks, amuse, starter and main course, heard that a bus had unexpectedly arrived, (just reporting that it could take a long time would be an option) Starter 1 shrimp croquette on a lettuce leaf, I find it stingy for the price, Creamy Fish Stew, little cream, lots of cheese, and a bit watery, expected something different with creamy, could be me... Too bad

Had to ask repeatedly for drinks. In between, hardly anything was cleared away. Food was good. Staff didn't feel like it. Too bad for our family with 6 adults, no more repeats.

Friendly service and a very nice cocktail menu! The terrace is nicely situated on the water.

Good meal for a fair price My wife wanted something special that was different from the menu. A way was found to meet the guest's wish.

We had a delicious meal with the family, everything was neatly arranged, we had dinner and lunch a number of times, everything was always prepared with taste and the service was friendly and prompt.

Had a very nice portion of carpaccio and also beautiful sole as a main course. Very friendly, correct service. Highly recommended. For me, with 50 years of restaurant experience, it is one of the two best in Terneuzen.

Nice place next to the water, food is tasty and good. Unfortunately, some employees are very slow and completely ignore you... we had to wait almost 35 minutes for our plates to be picked up... when we said something about it they acted as if they were super busy

You ask to replace a starter from a limited menu (social deal) with one from the regular menu of the same value €15.5 and you still have to charge €12 and I think that's a lot!

Beautiful place for a peaceful meal. If you are lucky enough to be at the window, you will see large container doors passing by.

Nice interior, smooth and friendly service

Shrimp croquette without shrimp, carpaccio of a quality that you can buy at the supermarket. A waitress who didn't know what game was, a menu from a simple cafe and an atmosphere of nothing. Never again.

Have stayed at the Churchill hotel a few times and also dined in the restaurant, the food itself is good, although the choice is a bit limited if you include dinner with your booking, while the a la carte menu offers more than enough choice, As a hotel, I would simply let the guest eat a la carte instead of giving a very limited choice, then more guests would also continue to dine in the hotel, but that is just an idea, otherwise there is nothing to complain about, the rooms are fine and nowadays equipped of air conditioning absolutely great. the service is more than good and you are treated wonderfully, we would love to come back here.

Terrible service and rude female waiter. Took 30 minutes just to get a menu and after 30 minutes just to get a glass of wine. Food was great but service very disappointing.

Good service and food. The price I think it's a little bit more on the high side, but the quality is high. The portions could stand to be a bit bigger, that was a constant issue in the times I went. Good variety!

Just good for a lunch at a fair price, limited choice

We had a three-course menu with an extensive choice. With an amuse-bouche beforehand. The presentation was great, as was the food. A seat at the window with a view over the Western Scheldt made it complete.

Cozy on the terrace outside around 4 pm. Ask for dinner. ..don't have dinner until 6pm. Ordering a bottle of wine...at 6pm: yes, only the table available for dinner at 8:30pm...well organised!!!!!!!!

Tried their Croquette at twelve o'clock. Very nicely balanced meal.

1 star is already too much... Worst service ever... Salmon salad arrived incomplete, with 3 pieces of thin salmon and only lettuce for 25 euros... They couldn't do anything else about it... Service very unfriendly... I asked for sweet potato gluten-free... They bring it full of gluten and then they want to charge for it, while it was immediately returned because of the crispy layer with gluten! ... Then they say that they are nice not to charge for the sweet potatoes... Very bad experience...never coming back...

Cozy seats with a view of the Western Scheldt. Nice terrace outside. We were there on Sunday at 5pm. Staff is not attuned to each other. This way we could still order lunch at the 1 (until 5 p.m.) and not from the dinner menu because it only started at 6 p.m. With the other it was exactly the other way around. The chicken wings were so hot that they were unedible. Something was said but nothing was done about it. Shame. There is still much room for improvement in the hospitality. Even if they do their best to organize something else or offer something if necessary. The stew was decent. Not too much meat in the fries, but tasty. The salad was not finished with a dressing. Shame.

We had been sitting on the terrace for a while when an employee came to say that they were not serving on the terrace due to a lack of staff. Was not indicated at the entrance. Didn't offer an alternative.

We enjoyed a holiday in Domburg. With a gift voucher from Bongo we thought we could book a high tea in Terneuzen, found in the Bongo guide. Discussed by telephone and spent 1.5 hours on the road to hear, already at the table, that our dog was not allowed inside. (This information was not mentioned in the guide) Since we could not change this on the spot, there was only 1 option. No exception could be made, so either the dog was out or we were out. We were able to leave again and went back without high tea. At least a cup of coffee for the inconvenience would have been a gesture. So customer-friendly: NO

Enjoy a drink on the terrace with a view of the Scheldt. Unfortunately the terrace is on the north side, so there is a chance of shade. With westerly or easterly winds, the wind blows annoyingly over the terrace. View is beautiful.

Enjoyed Easter brunch here last Sunday. Staff was friendly, service good. Unfortunately the food was bad and proportionately way too expensive. It took a long time, the selection was very limited and the hot food was lukewarm at best and caked to the trays. Very unfortunate because it is such a beautiful spot.
