Quiet hotel. Had to be there before departure for the "Happen en Trappen" route.

Dining only by reservation. Please keep this in mind. Otherwise, only a sharing platter is available.

We recently dined at Taste in Terneuzen, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. Regarding the main courses: the veal entrecote was flavorful, but the garnish was very minimal (just a halved carrot divided between two plates, a slice of corn, and a few green beans). Additionally, the ends of the Roseval potatoes were so hard that they were inedible. It was particularly annoying that the fish stew did not agree with us; unfortunately, this resulted in persistent stomach upset throughout the weekend. The service also left much to be desired: the wait was slow, and the ice cream with dessert was served largely melted. All in all, an experience that, for us, was unfortunately substandard.

As a couple, we ordered "the shrimp croquette" for ourselves, price €33, but it contained no shrimp, not even a single one. Our dining companion was impressed, and the same goes for the smoked salmon salad; there was more salad than the 3 strips of salmon spread across the deep plate. Price €22.50. We will never dine there again, and this establishment urgently needs to hire a different and better chef. Visit of Aug 12, 2026.

We sat on the terrace and had a delicious meal with a view of the Western Scheldt. The service was very good and enthusiastic, the sky was bright blue with a beautiful sun, so we had a fantastic evening.

Also stayed 3 nights at the Churchill Hotel. The service was friendly, and there was time for a chat. The food was well prepared, and the time between courses was also very good.

Somewhat businesslike atmosphere, but that serves the purpose. The service is friendly and knowledgeable, and the menu is undeniably good!

A restaurant worth visiting for its view, which you can fully enjoy throughout the entire restaurant thanks to the decor. Friendly service. Tasty meat dishes, but the fish stew particularly lacked fish and cream. There is only one potato on the beautifully presented plates, making ordering extra fries necessary. The price-quality ratio here is acceptable to good.

Sunny Sunday in March, a little stroll along the sea dike. And then a lovely time at Taste (Chuchill Hotel) on the terrace, out of the wind. Plenty of space between the tables, sufficient choice (no surprises). Very friendly service, everything arrives on time and it is tasty. You experience peace there and the view is phenomenal. You can walk there from the center at a leisurely pace in 20 minutes. Had a TOP afternoon.

We wanted to try the place out before spending €150 on dinner. The lunch was delicious, but unfortunately, the service was very poor. Considering the prices, we expected better service.

The food is really good! Tasty and well-balanced. The beer on tap (Paix Dieu) is highly recommended! It's just a shame that none of the window tables were available at our request, even though two of the four were unoccupied all evening. The manager who manages the seating was blamed, but a little bit of overstepping the boundaries is perfectly acceptable...

We had our New Year's Eve dinner on a very busy and possibly understaffed Monday evening. Unfortunately, the older waitress struggled to cope with the pressure. The food was delicious, as were the cocktails and mocktails.

During our bike ride, we stopped for a refreshing beer and a tasty bite to eat. Friendly, efficient service despite the crowds on the terrace. Highly recommended.

Absolutely awful. We called the waiter 4 times, each time told “another waiter will come” — no one ever did. Tapas platter dumped on the table before drinks, dirty glass, and endless waiting. They forgot the bread, then when they finally brought it and we ordered more, they gave us less than before. We were ready to have dinner but walked out, just like the table behind us, who also left after being completely ignored. And this isn’t the first time: last time it took 35 minutes to get dessert, and when we finally got the bill, they’d charged us for several drinks we never had (we got the money back, but still).

Slow service, wrong orders, only after 45 minutes did someone come to ask if we wanted drinks. The DJ is a nice idea, but he looks awkward among the very elderly people. It's all well-intentioned, but accept that you're not the one.

Delicious, flavorful dishes. One drawback: you sit way too close together. Plus, the staff has to squeeze through the narrow opening, which nearly hit me on the head with a plate. Too bad.

Service was slow; we ordered drinks using a QR code and had to wait over 40 minutes. The food was okay, and the terrace was beautiful!

Had to ask repeatedly for drinks. In between, hardly anything was cleared away. Food was good. Staff didn't feel like it. Too bad for our family with 6 adults, no more repeats.

Good meal for a fair price My wife wanted something special that was different from the menu. A way was found to meet the guest's wish.

We had a delicious meal with the family, everything was neatly arranged, we had dinner and lunch a number of times, everything was always prepared with taste and the service was friendly and prompt.

You ask to replace a starter from a limited menu (social deal) with one from the regular menu of the same value €15.5 and you still have to charge €12 and I think that's a lot!

Shrimp croquette without shrimp, carpaccio of a quality that you can buy at the supermarket. A waitress who didn't know what game was, a menu from a simple cafe and an atmosphere of nothing. Never again.

Have stayed at the Churchill hotel a few times and also dined in the restaurant, the food itself is good, although the choice is a bit limited if you include dinner with your booking, while the a la carte menu offers more than enough choice, As a hotel, I would simply let the guest eat a la carte instead of giving a very limited choice, then more guests would also continue to dine in the hotel, but that is just an idea, otherwise there is nothing to complain about, the rooms are fine and nowadays equipped of air conditioning absolutely great. the service is more than good and you are treated wonderfully, we would love to come back here.

Terrible service and rude female waiter. Took 30 minutes just to get a menu and after 30 minutes just to get a glass of wine. Food was great but service very disappointing.

Good service and food. The price I think it's a little bit more on the high side, but the quality is high. The portions could stand to be a bit bigger, that was a constant issue in the times I went. Good variety!

We had a three-course menu with an extensive choice. With an amuse-bouche beforehand. The presentation was great, as was the food. A seat at the window with a view over the Western Scheldt made it complete.

Cozy on the terrace outside around 4 pm. Ask for dinner. ..don't have dinner until 6pm. Ordering a bottle of wine...at 6pm: yes, only the table available for dinner at 8:30pm...well organised!!!!!!!!

1 star is already too much... Worst service ever... Salmon salad arrived incomplete, with 3 pieces of thin salmon and only lettuce for 25 euros... They couldn't do anything else about it... Service very unfriendly... I asked for sweet potato gluten-free... They bring it full of gluten and then they want to charge for it, while it was immediately returned because of the crispy layer with gluten! ... Then they say that they are nice not to charge for the sweet potatoes... Very bad experience...never coming back...

Cozy seats with a view of the Western Scheldt. Nice terrace outside. We were there on Sunday at 5pm. Staff is not attuned to each other. This way we could still order lunch at the 1 (until 5 p.m.) and not from the dinner menu because it only started at 6 p.m. With the other it was exactly the other way around. The chicken wings were so hot that they were unedible. Something was said but nothing was done about it. Shame. There is still much room for improvement in the hospitality. Even if they do their best to organize something else or offer something if necessary. The stew was decent. Not too much meat in the fries, but tasty. The salad was not finished with a dressing. Shame.
