A cozy covered terrace with a partially open area offers excellent service and delicious food. Thursdays are also the market day in Rijen, which is opposite Taste, making it a nice way to combine the market and Taste. The terrace has been upgraded with new furniture, comfortable chairs, and two new round benches.

Smaak lokaal is gelegen in winkelcentrum de Laverije in Rijen . Je kunt zowel binnen zitten als op het terras op het Wilhelminaplein. De keuze aan gerechten is groot en ook voor vegetariërs zijn er voldoende keuzes. Het personeel is vriendelijk en de bediening is netjes . De kwaliteit en hoeveelheid van de gerechten is goed. Zeker een aanrader .

Delicious food and great service

Eten wasprima, alleen voor een colaatje 3,40 betalenen een flesje van 20ml krijgen is toch aan de dure kant jammer, jammer maar helaas….

Gisteren 12 juli 2025 onze zilveren bruiloft gevierd bij SMAAK LOKAAL, het was een grandioos feest met een heel vriendelijk team dat ons en alle gasten voortreffelijk heeft voorzien van heerlijke hapjes en drank. I had a voucher and it was valid until 17:00, I was there at 16:45 and it was refused, very misleading, and not customer friendly. I was not the only one, the voucher of the customer before me was also refused, that was told kindly by the employee.

Lovely to sit there in the sun or under a parasol. The cocktail is super tasty and the snacks too 😁

We gaan vaker naar Smaak – een leuke plek om te lunchen of iets te drinken. Helaas was mijn laatste ervaring minder positief. Ik wilde een sandwich zonder tomaat en saus, maar helaas konden ze die niet maken omdat alles 's ochtends al wordt bereid en het te druk was om er speciaal eentje te maken. De boodschap was dat ik maar iets anders moest kiezen. Ik vind dit een slechte gang van zaken en klantonvriendelijk.

Ik was schijnbaar al 7 jaar niet meer richting SMAAK geweest - maar wat is het een mooie tent geworden - het was al een leuke tent maar nu echt! Verjaardag lunch voor mijn zus gedaan daar - vrij op de kaart bestellen - we hebben genoten

Delicious food, friendly employees, plenty of choice on the menu. I actually have nothing to complain about it. But if I had to mention a negative point, I would only say that there could perhaps be a few more toilets.

Always nice to taste local, I was there for an ice cream for my son. The yummy my son was happy and I am also happy with their nice staff nice atmosphere.

Celebrated my birthday here and in one word it was great!! I took advantage of the pampering package (this was slightly adjusted to my liking) you have various dishes served during the afternoon/evening and drinks are included in the price. The service is super good, very friendly! The dishes were very tasty, it was more than enough!! My guests and I enjoyed it, this is highly recommended if you have something to celebrate!! Ondanks de aardige bediening en prachtige zaak,toch een negatieve ervaring. Ik had om een tosti gevraagd ham en kaas en niet een uitgebreide zoals op de kaart. Dat kon allemaal geregeld woorden. Na wachten op mijn tosti dat zijn twee xxl boterhammen (opzich geen probleem) Dacht ik lekker te gaan genieten. Helaas veelste weinig belegd de kaas was erin getrokken wat betekend dat er gewoon te weinig op ligt. Ham idem dito Kijk 8.75 voor de uitgrebreide tosti oké Dan wel top belegd . Ik had nu twee krokante xxl boterhammen voor dat geld waar in het midden iets van kaas en ham gelegd was .alleen belegen in t midden is voor die 8.75 niet ok toch Op mijn vraag wat er gerekend was voor de tosti werd gezegd 8.75 Helaas geen herhaling voor mij

Mijn vriendinnen hadden me tijdens mijn zwangerschapsverlof verrast met een high tea. Smaaklokaal had de tafel heel leuk aangekleed. Super gezellige middag gehad.

A wonderful 12 hours. Homemade soup, a large croquette and a fried egg on ham/cheese sandwich. Delicious!!!!

In connection with our 70th birthday, we enjoyed the pampering package with 20 people. Very worthwhile and worth repeating. There was also plenty of choice for our vegetarians. In one word: CLASS!!

Fijn restaurant en heel vriendelijke bediening! We hadden een lunch met soepje. Allemaal verse ingrediënten en smaakvol opgediend. De bediening was erg vriendelijk!!

Prettige , snelle en vriendelijke bediening. De kwaliteit van de gerechten is goed . De kaaskroketten zijn een aanrader ! Er is veel keuze op de lunch kaart , ook voor vegetariërs genoeg keuze. Smaak Lokaal ligt in het overdekte winkelcentrum de Laverije . Een groot deel van het jaar is er ook een uitgebreid buitenterras.

Heerlijk geluncht, super vriendelijk personeel, snelle bediening alles was netjes en schoon. Wij komen zeker terug!

This was served on 1 long plate with fries and the sandwiches cut into 4 parts. Nice as a shared lunch if you have no allergies or are not allowed to eat something. Highly recommended.

Wat een leuk restaurant. Netjes, schoon, bijzonder lekker eten. De bediening is netjes en bijzonder vriendelijk. Het eten is vers, erg smaakvol en waarde naar zijn geld! Cocktails prima, maar het eten steelt de show. Voor de kinderen (8&10) een mooi middenin en ze hebben heerlijk gegeten. Ga zeker nog een keer terug. Zo run je een restaurant met terras. Hulde.

Vanmiddag een zeer vervelende ervaring gehad bij Smaak in Rijen. Ik bestelde een smoothie (noodzakelijke ingrediënten VERS fruit en YOGHURT of room). Wat kreeg ik: Een glas met een soort geschaafd mango- ijs. Ik heb mijn beklag gedaan tegen iemand uit de keuken en die kon zich voorstellen dat ik de " smoothie" niet lekker vond. Ik ging betalen en moest voor dat glas geschaafd ijs ZES € 25 betalen! Ik deed opnieuw mijn beklag en kreeg als antwoord: "smoothies zijn niet overal hezelfde. En op kaart staat " FROZEN smoothie, dus.... " De "empathische" vrouwelijke bediende was APERT fout. Stond nl.NIET op de kaart!

Ordered a "smoothie" this afternoon. Number of ingredients were NOT included (google "smoothie") I got a glass of shaved mango ice. Staff member comments: "smoothies are not the same everywhere". That is true with TASTE, but NEGATIVE. Cost 6€25!! Incorrect information from cashier: "FROZEN smoothie on the menu!" OBVIOUSLY WRONG! A REAL shame because after cycling a REAL smoothie is bad Tasty! Now an ICE cold mango puddle...

Had lunch here for Mother's Day 2 years in a row. The 'tasting range'. What a great concept and a lot of choice. I have had a stomach reduction for 8 months. This was very well thought out and I was therefore allowed to pay per dish I ate instead of the full price. Super nice service, fast service and delicious food 👌🏼

Had a last minute lunch here with 7 people, but luckily there was still room. There is an extensive menu with many different options. I opted for the burrata with flatbread. The food of all the other 6 people looked delicious with just that little bit extra. Anyone can put a ball of burrata with Pesto on a flatbread, but here they really made sure everything tasted and looked great with extra ingredients. Highly recommended!

Nice vibe, good selection of meals ala cart, just coffee, something to munch on like nacho plates, broodje or unlimited tapas or high tea. Price is a bit high from personal opinion as the ingredients are easily accessible. Food quality could be a bit inconsistent, waiters and waitresses are always friendly and pick up after another. I regularly have lunch at Smaak Lokaal and as always it was delicious! The lunchroom is beautifully and cozy decorated, the dishes are always extremely fresh, there is something for everyone and you certainly get value for your money!

Today simple, croquettes with bread. Thick bread with cheap croquettes. So the taste fades away from the bread. Add mustard/mayonnaise. Unfortunately the mustard had missed the mayonnaise. All in all a bland bite. Management response. Yes, it just depends on who makes the mustard mayonnaise. Eeeeeeeeuuhhhh?????? So constant quality is not necessary?

Leuke tent. 1x geweest voor high tea en 1x voor lunch. High tea was een beetje gek dat er ongeveer niets werd uitgelegd wat het was. Eten was beide keren erg goed. De Chai Latte is echt geweldig lekker.
