The drinks we ordered were either not to our liking or lacked technique: the iced matcha wasn't perfectly measured, leaving a powdery texture in the mouth, and the cold brew wasn't flavorful enough. The banana cake, on the other hand, was very good.

Amazing service!! The people were very kind, we ordered an iced matcha latte 2 chocolate croissants (so much chocolate inside of them) and capuchino. The matcha was truly ceremonial grade (very green) and the coconut milk was delicious!! Also the capuchino was very tasty!! Definitely recommend if you are passing by. (I even liked the matcha so much I bought it for myself)

Luuk’s Coffee at Vijzelgracht is a real gem. The staff were incredibly kind and polite, making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. I had some of the best pastries of my entire trip to Amsterdam here – everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Their coffee, hot chocolate, and chai were also excellent – rich in flavor and perfectly prepared. I can warmly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. That said, the seating inside is quite limited, with only a few spots upstairs, and it can get quite warm indoors. Because of that, I’d suggest grabbing your drinks and pastries to go and enjoying them elsewhere nearby. All in all, a cozy little spot with top-notch quality and service!

We came to this coffee shop because it is near our hotel. I am not sure this coffee shop is related to the famous barista, James Hoffman. The cafe has a couple of James Hoffman's books. The filter coffee is great with a little bit of acidity.

I've been coming here since the beginning, mainly because of the good coffee beans. But today for the last time. I wanted to buy 1kg of beans and have them ground for home, but apparently they only grind the small bags of 250g because otherwise the machine breaks. So 4x 250g may be ground, but 1kg suddenly not? Ridiculous. Too bad, because I always liked the coffee, but no next time for me.

What a lovely coffee shop! We had cappuccinos and were impressed with the smooth froth, perfect temperature, and rich flavor. You can tell the barista truly knows her craft. The overall experience was warm and welcoming – definitely a spot we’d return to!

While walking around the neighborhood, I wanted to enjoy a good coffee and I finally came to the right place! The coffee is perfect, the welcome is warm, even more so when I was surprised to come across a very nice French barista!

Had a flat white, it was bitter like espresso at Starbucks. Great people running the shop, no room to sit. This is a coffee stand not a coffee shop. To-go/take-away only.

What a pity they do not have an area to enjoy coffee sitting down. Everything is for taking away. That is why I only ordered a coffee, although the pastry did not look bad. The coffee is tasty, quite good, I ordered a flat white for 4 euros.

Great coffee next to the Amsterdam’s Vijzelgracht metro stop. Perfect for a coffee stop on-route to Amsterdam Nord. The coffee was lush with coffee sweetness, thanks to the Barista’s great milk pour. For those who don’t like too much coffee acidity, the decaf was very balanced in flavors. Their house blend had a nice berry sweetness with velvety milk chocolate flavor.. perfect for white based espresso. This place has no seating unfortunately, so takeout only.

Quite in shock about the unfriendliness and inhospitality of the staff. No friendly good morning or any smiles detected. They looked annoyed, unbothered and cranky. It felt like they’ve pied out all their endorfines during the weekend and two zombies were forced to serve coffee. What a pity of such a nice place. Too many nice coffee places where it does not take an effort to put on a friendly smile. Won’t be coming back here any time soon.

Just another social media hyped coffee. First of all, the male barista was throwing "Amsterdam style waiter" attitude: unfriendly and snobbish. To make it worse, the cappuccino he made sucked. It was weak and watery. The price point was standard but there are better cafes that deserve your money.

Love the coffee, the vibe and the baristas but the lids don't fit. I spilled my coffee on my t shirt few days ago and I thought it's just one faulty lid but apparently that's not the case as it happened today again The reason for 3 stars is such that people notice this and take an immediate action

No space where coffee is pr prepared and served. They could move the coffee cupps stack somewhere so face the customer. pricey for latte 2* medium : €8.70 takeaway. At least a smile /thanks when serving the coffee could have changed my mind from the negative comment.

Everytime I go here I leave so annoyed. The coffee is decent and staff mean well but the serving system doesn’t work and I always have to speak up because I’ve been skipped and it’s taken about 20 mins for a coffee twice. Overhyped- sorry!

Der beste Cappuccino, den ich in ganz Holland (Niederlande) je getrunken habe! Wir waren an einem völlig verregneten Samstag auf dem Weg zum Rijksmuseum, da lachte uns der kleine Laden an. Wir nahmen die Getränke sowie ein paar Croissants to go und merkten erst draußen, wie gut das war! Die heiße Schokolade bekam meine Tochter obendrein gratis. Ich hoffe, wir kommen wieder!

Nice place but nowhere to sit so if you are looking for a take away it might be an option otherwise this is not your place.

Ik heb een Chai latte met de banana cake en chocolate chip cookie genomen. Beste Chai latte die ik ooit heb gehad. Ook de banana cake met chocolade was echt geweldig. Echt beide een aanrader. Daarnaast knus en clean uitstraling binnen. Werd heel fijn geholpen en leuk praatje gemaakt, wat mijn dag echt nog beter maakte. Echt een leuk koffietentje, ga ik zeker vaker heen!

Specialty coffee & pastries. Good option for coffee to go, rather not to sit in. Not very spacious nor inviting. Also feels like the staff doesn’t want you to sit there. Big minus that coffee is always served in to go cups!! Not very sustainable when you want to stay :(

They no longer sell gluten free pastries, but the coffee is very nice. They have oat milk and pea milk as vegan alternatives. Very friendly service in Dutch and English. Dogs welcome. No seating area. Coffee to go
