I really enjoyed having coffee here. The coffee is excellent — especially their freshly brewed coffee. The espresso, flat white and cappuccino are great. My favorite was the flat white with oat milk. I also loved working upstairs: it’s quiet, comfortable and very pleasant, with a nice view over the street. The only thing I really missed was a bathroom — especially after two cups of coffee! :)

If you’re a coffee enthusiast, go! I went on a sunday morning at 9:30am and it wasn’t busy. Not sure if it’ll stay like that. The ambience and service were great. The coffee was one of the best I’ve had, I believe they roast their own beans in house and I even purchased a Bag to go. Body, flavour, and taste. Also try their chocolate hazelnut croissant! To die for! They don’t have a lot of space to sit so get it and go

I looked for a workspace outside my hotel room, I found it perfect. The only thing that will make you leave is your bladder (as there is no restroom...)

Delicious iced matcha with coconut milk, brewed ceremonially ❤️. Also, lemon cake with poppy seeds - yummy. Friendly service, but unfortunately the lady who served us was talking to someone and we waited a long time for service, which spoiled the experience a bit.

Staff are so incredibly friendly, Dan was the barista on shift and made great coffee and gave the best cookie recommendation. I had a chocolate chip cookie which was unbelievably good and an oat latte. There's a couple seats on the second floor, enough space for some laptop work or sitting with friends. I love the energy here more than I think any other coffee shop I've been to in Amsterdam. People want to be here and the baristas are passionate about their work I'm definitely coming back and bringing friends. Thank you for the great coffee and for making the atmosphere here so special, will definitely be back and I'm looking forward to it.

The coffee was nice, but it was quite disappointing to find that there is no restroom available for customers. Especially for a place that has indoor seating, this feels like a basic facility that most places provide. Interestingly, this isn’t an issue at your other location.

The drinks we ordered were either not to our liking or lacked technique: the iced matcha wasn't perfectly measured, leaving a powdery texture in the mouth, and the cold brew wasn't flavorful enough. The banana cake, on the other hand, was very good.

Amazing service!! The people were very kind, we ordered an iced matcha latte 2 chocolate croissants (so much chocolate inside of them) and capuchino. The matcha was truly ceremonial grade (very green) and the coconut milk was delicious!! Also the capuchino was very tasty!! Definitely recommend if you are passing by. (I even liked the matcha so much I bought it for myself)

Luuk’s Coffee at Vijzelgracht is a real gem. The staff were incredibly kind and polite, making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. I had some of the best pastries of my entire trip to Amsterdam here – everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Their coffee, hot chocolate, and chai were also excellent – rich in flavor and perfectly prepared. I can warmly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. That said, the seating inside is quite limited, with only a few spots upstairs, and it can get quite warm indoors. Because of that, I’d suggest grabbing your drinks and pastries to go and enjoying them elsewhere nearby. All in all, a cozy little spot with top-notch quality and service!

We came to this coffee shop because it is near our hotel. I am not sure this coffee shop is related to the famous barista, James Hoffman. The cafe has a couple of James Hoffman's books. The filter coffee is great with a little bit of acidity.

I've been coming here since the beginning, mainly because of the good coffee beans. But today for the last time. I wanted to buy 1kg of beans and have them ground for home, but apparently they only grind the small bags of 250g because otherwise the machine breaks. So 4x 250g may be ground, but 1kg suddenly not? Ridiculous. Too bad, because I always liked the coffee, but no next time for me.

What a lovely coffee shop! We had cappuccinos and were impressed with the smooth froth, perfect temperature, and rich flavor. You can tell the barista truly knows her craft. The overall experience was warm and welcoming – definitely a spot we’d return to!

While walking around the neighborhood, I wanted to enjoy a good coffee and I finally came to the right place! The coffee is perfect, the welcome is warm, even more so when I was surprised to come across a very nice French barista!

What a pity they do not have an area to enjoy coffee sitting down. Everything is for taking away. That is why I only ordered a coffee, although the pastry did not look bad. The coffee is tasty, quite good, I ordered a flat white for 4 euros.

Great coffee next to the Amsterdam’s Vijzelgracht metro stop. Perfect for a coffee stop on-route to Amsterdam Nord. The coffee was lush with coffee sweetness, thanks to the Barista’s great milk pour. For those who don’t like too much coffee acidity, the decaf was very balanced in flavors. Their house blend had a nice berry sweetness with velvety milk chocolate flavor.. perfect for white based espresso. This place has no seating unfortunately, so takeout only.

Quite in shock about the unfriendliness and inhospitality of the staff. No friendly good morning or any smiles detected. They looked annoyed, unbothered and cranky. It felt like they’ve pied out all their endorfines during the weekend and two zombies were forced to serve coffee. What a pity of such a nice place. Too many nice coffee places where it does not take an effort to put on a friendly smile. Won’t be coming back here any time soon.
