STACH in Amstel III/Bullewijk

At STACH on Hoogoorddreef in Amsterdam, I stumbled upon a chicken and avocado sandwich that far exceeded my expectations. As soon as I walked in, the fresh and modern look was immediately striking: plenty of light, clean lines, and a cozy counter stocked with snacks and coffee syrups. The menu is displayed large and clearly above the bar, allowing you to leisurely choose from the wide variety of sandwiches and drinks. I chose the Chicken and Avocado sandwich, and it proved to be a hit. The photo shows the firm, freshly baked multigrain baguette, generously filled with tender chicken pieces, spicy seasonings, and a generous layer of creamy avocado. What I really appreciated was the generous use of avocado—full, creamy, and perfectly ripe. The fresh arugula on top made it all deliciously crunchy. From the first bite, you can immediately taste that this sandwich is freshly made; the chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, without being overpowering. The atmosphere at STACH is relaxed and modern, with friendly staff who work quickly and cheerfully, even during the busier lunchtimes. Besides sandwiches, they also offer a wide selection of coffees, iced drinks, and small snacks like banana bread or Florentines – perfect for takeaway. This location is also easy to reach: Hoogoorddreef is located in the heart of Amsterdam Zuidoost, close to offices and public transport. Parking nearby can be a bit tricky, so the metro or bike is recommended. Fun fact: STACH is known for its changing specials, and I also saw the Lebanese Sajeria Special on the menu. That makes it worth coming back often to try new combinations. My tip: definitely try the chicken avocado sandwich if you like savory, spicy, and richly filled. Order an iced latte or homemade lemonade for the perfect lunch break.

Service around lunch was a bit slow, but the staff were very friendly. The sandwich was delicious and I'd definitely go again.

I've been to many Stach shops and always like to come again. Mostly the sweets are just the best. The sandwiches are really nice, and the coffee is good as well.

Everything is good, we finished sandwich before taking photo. We love drink, food, atmosphere and staff service. It's so nice, recommend to take sometime here :)
