The fish of the day was excellent. The service was perfect. And the waffles were to die for. I highly recommend it!

Unexpectedly ate at De Huiskamer for the first time. It was a good choice and I definitely recommend it. Both the stew with fries and the ravioli were delicious. The raw vegetable salad is well filled but we missed some dressing which made the salad very dry.

Nice place to eat. Large menu choice. Food was fine. Service friendly.

I like to go here with my one-year-old grandson. There is a play corner in the Village Room with all kinds of toys. When I sit down for a moment, a delicious latte is immediately brought to me. That gentleman knows exactly what I like to drink during my walk. So nice to be recognized as a customer!:

Very nice atmosphere. I didn't know it here yet. I saw on the menu that there was gluten-free bread so I asked questions. Had a lovely lunch. After lunch we had a conversation with the chef. Very nice conversation by the way. If this bothers me, I would please let them know so that they could determine what might have gone wrong. Fortunately nothing went wrong. But promised to do so if it happened. Very nice to be taken seriously. Will definitely come back. Because, as mentioned before, the food was delicious, but the staff was also super friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was pleasant.

Spent 3.5 hours on the terrace with a friend! Friendly help, delicious coffee as it should be and a super tasty meal.... it was the 1st time but I will definitely come back here! Cheers!!

Sat down in Maarssen for lunch on Saturday afternoon. Interior design in “De Huiskamer van Maarssen” provides a direct view of the large open kitchen. Had to choose a table at the back. Only large tables, 4 persons and larger, so we took a seat there. Service fast and friendly at the table to first have drinks and then lunch. The fresh gravy was very tasty and the twelve o'clock and rustic pistolet “de Huiskamer” were also well liked. Positive experience and will definitely come back for dinner!

Lekker gegeten. Wij hadden de bavette, zeebaars en mixed grill. Mooi stukje vis en goede kwaliteit en goed bereid vlees. Niet teveel poespas maar gewoon goede pure gerechten. Aanrader. Goede prijs/kwaliteit.

Echt top. Goed eten voor een goede prijs. Goed vlees. Heerlijk malse Tournedos, bereid naar wens. De varkenshaas sate was zeer goed, mals en de sate goed gekruid.

Had to wait more than half an hour for lunch menu and food. If you have any questions about where the lunch was, just comment, it's just ready. Cook noted that I had already called earlier to say that it was ready. No comment as to why it took so long.

Nice restaurant, food was fine but you have to have a lot of time and patience. Service was friendly but took a very long time and you have to ask for a lunch menu yourself. This is not asked when the drinks are taken and we were also during lunch time.

Nice, very nice "eatery", or rather a restaurant. Not many people when we entered, but after us it went smoothly. Nice menu with beautiful dishes. I opted for fries with stew, buttery soft and delicious in taste. Eega went for Poke Bowl. Must be gluten-free, the owner immediately knew why and even showed the soy sauce they use. Very satisfied with this evening meal.

It is a nice restaurant where you can enjoy a delicious meal. When the weather is nice you can sit outside, but when the weather changes you can sit inside in the living room in a cozy and warm environment. The restaurant looks neat. There is a possibility to change the baby, they have a separate room for this. You can park for free in the area.

A nice walk out ruined, first time try, last time ever ! we walked in, asked politely if we want to have a snack do we need a reservation or we can take a seat and eat something? I was told we can have a seat, asked if for eating the area in inside only or we can enjoy the outside part too, got the reply we can sit where we like, took a table out, we were asked what we drink , we ordered lemonade, got no question about flavour, was a bit fishy but i didn t want to look annoying to keep asking about things , so we got Sprite , yeeek !... no menu, no questions if we want something even after we finished our drinks ... we paid and left , horrible moments :(((

Nooit meer!!!!!! Vooraf een heerlijk broodje. Daarna met onwijze zin begonnen aan de pokebowl. Onze zoon had biefstuk. Mega pittig! Bij het betalen 2x aangegeven bij personeel. Als eerste antwoord kregen we "zal het doorgeven en volgende keer van te voren aan geven?" Bij de man "wij vinden hem wel lekker" aangegeven dat een kind niet pittig kan eten! Werd erg lacherig om gedaan. Met afrekenen konden 2 broodjes betalen (1 broodje besteld)

Very nice place to have a coffee, but also to have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Extremely friendly staff. The food is always beautifully garnished and you don't have to worry about not getting enough. The quality of the food is therefore excellent.

I like to sit here and often have the Maarssen at the Meal or a poke bowl when I work nearby. Good food, good service, warm and personal ambiance but without fuss. They make the atmosphere homely but without becoming oppressive. Recommended.

Attractive place, always pleasant. Very friendly service with a personal touch. Delicious food, creative creations. Clean everywhere in the store. Nice seating areas at/near the window or more privately at the back of the store (I like this one for breastfeeding: a little more shielded). Very child-friendly and everything is there (toys, high chairs, changing table). Recommended! A lot of restaurants can learn from this restaurant and this service. Maarssen cooking: keep up the good work!!!

Organized a BBQ at our work. Vegetarians, pescatarians, Muslims and pure carnivores were very well served. As a BBQ fanatic, I was also pleasantly surprised by the quality and originality of the dishes. Van der Schaft knows what barbecuing is. Bavette, grilled sea bream, sandwiches with luxurious mushrooms, feta and a fresh sauce, moinkballs, scallops (with and without bacon wrapped) and a super dessert of rhubarb with strawberries from the BBQ with a big scoop of ice cream to finish. Absolutely nothing to complain about. Kudos to the chef.

I was there on June 4 during the broderie. ate and drank something I had soup of the day and a drink of bitterlemon The soup seemed like water, it was just bouilion I had to pay 15 euros and the soup cost 7.50 Sorry, that's a bit scandalous I want to teach them how to make real tomato soup The staff was very nice and the place and toilet very clean I certainly won't be back for the soup

What a wonderful restaurant. The local special beers are really delicious! It's also nice that you get a small snack with every beer. Never seen it before, great concept. Furthermore, the service is very enthusiastic and cheerful. Also up for a joke. Food is very tasty! We will be back soon.

The cooking workshop at Maarssen aan de Kook is highly recommended! We had a very fun and good Tapas cooking workshop with a group of 18 people. Rik, Sandra and the team had prepared everything neatly. The recipes were clear and the Maarssen aan de Kook team gave clear instructions, good tips and helped where necessary, so it was really educational. Working around the large cooking island (with professional equipment) is very pleasant. You see each other at work and can have a nice chat with each other. After more than 1.5 hours of cooking we could start eating. It was delicious and very cozy, partly thanks to the friendly staff and the attractive decor.

Anyway, I had a nice lunch there again.👍

Had never been here before. And what I thought was very special was that our racing bikes were allowed inside. And very nice service and a nice location. Definitely come here again as a stopover to Leersum.

When I had to be in Maarssen during the week for work, I ate here every weekday evening for a while. It was always delicious, with the highlight being a delicious gluten-free pizza. So nice of them to take my gluten intolerance into account! Furthermore, there was always a good atmosphere and there was a lot of laughter. Also well priced!

Prima plek voor een lunch, koffie met gebak. 12 uurtje is lekker. En ook de dagelijks wisselende daghap: wat de pot scfat voor ongeveer 9 euro. Locatie blijft een beetje kaal, ondanks alle inspanningen.

Great catering facility! It is super decorated, more than clean, the service is very fast and friendly. You can sit quietly there, possibly privately in a booth, and it is baby and wheelchair friendly. Finally (and not unimportant): the food is fresh and very tasty!
