Tante Koosje in Wijk 03 Loenen aan de Vecht

Such a great restaurant in a pretty village. We took 5 courses menu and everything was very delicious. Sea bass and sweetbread oxtail have been our favorite dishes. We also had North Sea crab, filet americain and sirloin of beef. Sparkling rose is absolutely recommended as an appetizer. Staff were kind and welcoming. Definitely worth to book a table!

We went to Tante Koosje with high expectations, partly because of the Michelin star, but unfortunately, our dinner was disappointing. The menu sounded promising—with dishes like tuna tartare, pork belly with lobster, scallop Saint-Jacques, red mullet, sweetbreads with oxtail, and ajou pigeon—but the execution was undistinguished. The tuna tartare was covered in a generous amount of Hollandaise sauce, which was a shame for the refinement of the dish. The pork belly was on the dry side, and the other courses also had a noticeable overabundance of sauce, which made the dish heavy and undermined the flavors. The scallops lacked character, and although we're open to exciting combinations, the sweetbreads and rendang combination proved to be very heavy. We sat outside on the terrace, which was pleasant given the beautiful weather, but the experience was overshadowed by the lack of service. The staff was friendly but not very knowledgeable. The explanations of the dishes were minimal and felt forced. There was no initiative or interest. Plates were cleared without any prompting, even when there was still visible food on the plate. For a Michelin-starred restaurant, we expected more refinement, both in the kitchen and the service. Unfortunately, Tante Koosje failed to surprise or convince us.

Delicious refined food and culinary pampering with a large group (16 people). Also for people with other culinary preferences than the set menu, creative gems were served. The service was also very professional, smooth and friendly. Nothing was too much for them and always with a smile. Definitely recommended!

It was good but expected more. Staff was good and cozy, small atmosphere inside. Less formal but expect a bit more neatness for instance when pouring wine for table and drops of wine everywhere. Previous Michelin experiences was taste sensations, for me this was not at this level. It was good fine dining but nothing more, comparable to Slange vecht but nothing like Amsterdammertje.

Had a very good evening here. The interior is very cozy, old farmhouse and kept in the style. Service is very good. Not too stiff, but doing everything right and thinking about the smallest things. Extremely customer-oriented. The menu has classic flavors but not boring or ordinary. Flavors are good and refined.

Been back at T.K. for a long time now. been. Nostalgia, because I'm not in the Netherlands that often anymore. But the first thing I do is play it safe and have a good dinner, and you can do that here. This time they surpassed themselves, you could especially taste the “real freshness” of the products. In the Netherlands there is usually a stale taste to the food in the better tents. Everything here is fresh! No words! Please keep this standard!! World top!

Unexpectedly decided to go to Aunt Koosje. Reservations were easy and quick by telephone. Upon arrival it took some time to find a parking space. We parked in the streets between the horseshoe and spinnerie and then we had to walk about 500 meters. When you arrive it already looks nice. The restaurant is decorated in an old-fashioned way, which gives it warmth and atmosphere. Reception was nice and the service is excellent. We really enjoyed the delicious appetizers, followed by the fantastic dishes. They are authentic and very, very good. Nice wines with it! Definitely recommended. The price and quality ratio are perfectly justified. The toilet is beautifully wallpapered.

Well, enjoyed Christmas dinner. Location is nostalgia. Even parking was considered. I think we were there for 4 hours. It seemed like 1 o'clock. Luxurious dining in style with classy service and a top chef.

Big disappointment, from food to the service. I had a big piece of crab shell in my starter. Not a single waitress or manager came to us to ask if everything was good or not. Food was ordinary, except deer fillet which was good as well as wine pairing. But overall, compared to the other Michelin star restaurant we’ve visited last year for Christmas this one is a big disappointment. Except sommelier, who was the only one attentive and helpful, no one spoke English to us even though we made it clear that I am not fluent in Dutch and even sommelier told them but everyone kept speaking Dutch, which in Michelin star restaurant I consider as being rude to your clients. Yet another table was served in English.

3rd time in a row Christmas Eve at Aunt Koosje's. You only do that if it's really good! Had another great evening yesterday with delicious (surprising!) dishes, a super nice ambiance, beautiful matching wines. My favorite was the 2nd course with lobster and wagyu...with the yellow curry ice cream in combination with the wine. Great! But all courses tasted right! Thank you again to everyone who worked yesterday for the wonderful evening, because of your hospitality, expertise and enthusiasm we had a wonderful Christmas Eve!

It is special that Aunt Koosje manages to combine the quality of a star restaurant with a relaxed, informal atmosphere.

It's like walking into a living room... Excellent restaurant, definitely worth its Michelin star. Beautiful dishes, without too many extras and frills. Beautiful flavors. Excellent matching wines (not very special, but fine). Strange that you get a box of friandises with dessert that later turns out to be separately included on the bill. That should have been asked. But that's the only downside to a great evening.

On behalf of us: thank you 😁 2023: Tante Koosje* is a cozy restaurant in a beautiful, cozy village. Hospitality is of paramount importance and they have an eye for detail. The service knows how to respond to the wishes of the guest. The food is quite an experience! The presentation is the first thing that stands out. Sleek and playful plates alternate, and a clear line from the chef can be recognized. The flavors pop and surprise. From a soft basil oil to a striking taste of lavender in ice cream. The latter gives an experience as if you were taking a walk through the lavender fields of Provence. All in all highly recommended. And they will definitely see us there again.

The food here did not meet the quality I expect from a star restaurant. Normally you experience a true explosion of taste, but that was not the case with any dish this time. There wasn't a single dish with a 'wow factor'. It wasn't bad, but definitely not worth it for the price. However, what was most disappointing was the service. I had called in advance specifically to ask which five courses we would get with the Groupon deal (5-course menu), because the site had a 7-course menu with dishes that I did not like all of them. I had also indicated during the telephone conversation that I had booked through Groupon. The lady on the phone assured me that we could choose our own five courses, which was the reason for us to agree to the deal and come for dinner. Once in the restaurant, however, we were told that we would be given a menu determined by them and that we were not allowed to choose ourselves. This happened to be told to us by the same lady I had spoken to. I pointed this out right away, and although she eventually admitted that she had stated it wrong, she first started a long discussion with strange arguments. I have never experienced anything like this in a star restaurant. She made no apologies and no alternative was offered to us. We had to negotiate ourselves to be allowed to change a dish and this was eventually approved. I think it's a bizarre way to treat new customers, and for this reason alone I would never come back here. The fact that the food was also disappointing makes that choice all the easier.

Het eten was lekker en de bediening was vriendelijk. Waar wij niet blij mee waren was, dat wij toen we 2 cappuccino’s bestelden, deze geserveerd werden met 2 blikjes met friandises. Aangezien wij de friandises niet hadden besteld, namen wij aan dat we deze van het huis hadden gekregen. Wij waren daarom ook onaangenaam verrast, dat hiervoor €22 in rekening werd gebracht. Als friandises ongevraagd op de tafel verschijnen, horen ze niet op de rekening te staan. Dit is geen nette en ethische manier van zaken doen. Ik heb hierover schriftelijk mijn beklag gedaan en restitutie gevraagd van het teveel betaalde, maar heb helaas geen reaktie mogen ontvangen.

It has a star, but I have eaten at better places. This restaurant serves save 1 star food, nothing really surprises you, its not bad but not good either. The service is the most lazy, not friendly service I had ever at a 1 star restaurant. Save your self a trip there are better places in the Netherlands

Great restaurant. Beautiful location. Excellent service. Price quite acceptable for a star restaurant. Quality of the food: fine. But to be honest, I expected a little more taste and specialness from a star restaurant. Somehow I have had better food elsewhere (without a star). But maybe my expectations were too high?

Heerlijk eten. Vaker gegeten, jaren terug, maar vind het inmiddels wel echt wat verouderd. Dat zeker niet af aan de kwaliteit van het eten, want dat is en blijft top, net als de bediening!

Bezochten dit restaurant na lange tijd weer eens voor een date night. Gezellige sfeer, losse vriendelijke bediening en heerlijke gerechten. Komen zeker weer terug.

A must if you are in and around Utrecht for that matter, it’s worth a trip from Amsterdam! Absolutely outstanding food for non-veg and vegetarians! Every dish was executed to perfection and believe me we checked out a few during our four weeks in and around Amsterdam 😊

We can say a lot about it, but one word is enough: 'sublime'. Sugar loaf with duck liver with matching wine is a 10. Oh yes, and the red gurnard and the veal tenderloin were also both a 10. It takes some saving, but it's worth it.

Had a nice evening. The 5 hours flew by. The food was very nicely presented and nice flavor combinations, especially the fish and lamb were very tasty. I personally found the ambiance to be on the old-fashioned side. That's what they chose. You just have to love it. Staff very attentive with many extra try-outs from the kitchen. Price for 1 star for 2 people is on the good side. Overall experience, successful evening!

Very pleasantly surprised at how warmly hospitable we were received. We were surprised in terms of the menu. Delicious food and drinks. It was absolutely worth the €160.00 per person.

we had a great evening in a very beautiful place. everything was great: attentive waiters, everything was served on time, very tasty, proper serving of wine, a good choice, we took deal 4 meals, and in the end we got even more. On February 13 we enjoyed an excellent 5-course dinner at Aunt Koosje. The welcome was warm and perfect. Before dinner, delicious appetizers were served. The enjoyment could begin with a tasty aperitif. It was actually enjoyable. Restaurant Aunt Koosje offers dining in a warm, cozy setting, the decor has a certain charm and fits perfectly with the atmosphere of the restaurant. The wines during dinner brought out the flavor notes of the dishes in the right way, attention to wine and food combinations is completely on point here. To end the dinner we ordered coffee, the surprise we received turned into disappointment when we saw the bill. Too bad, there were two mocha friandises on the bill for an amount of 22 euros. It was presented as a gift, we were not asked the question. Serving something unsolicited but then adding it to the bill is very special to say the least. Fortunately, the dinner was a taste sensation and this bad aftertaste could not spoil our enjoyment in its entirety.

Ate here a few weeks ago. The vegetarian menu option listed on the website was particularly interesting to me. The location is beautiful and the staff friendly, the wine was delicious. Unfortunately the vegetarian menu was a joke. The appetizers were served without asking whether we both ate meat/fish. Two of the three appetizers were therefore not for me. No alternative was offered. The first course (regular menu tuna) was introduced with a list of all ingredients and the text: "and the same for you, but without the tuna". Very little creative and of course not a full-fledged first course. The tone was set and so it continued. Second starter was broom salt and therefore inedible. Sent back to the kitchen and received a less salty and therefore edible replacement, but the pleasure was already somewhat diminished. With the main course, the vegetarian menu option again consisted of a large portion of the side dishes of the regular main course. In short, not a full-fledged vegetarian menu and certainly not star level. We won't be coming back here again. There are finer and more thoughtful vegetarian options elsewhere for a fraction of the price.

In a word, fantastic. Atmospheric, very attentive service and delicious food accompanied by excellent wines. Works of art on your plate and a nice explanation of what it is. A special experience that obviously costs quite a bit, but is certainly worth it.

I might be a bit biased because this restaurant and its team are very dear to me, but I have travelled to many countries where I have tried a lot of dinning spots and so I am objectively going to reflect on my -and my partner’s experience: - the food was excellent, every dish gave us a new palette of tastes and was building up to the following. The design, colour contrasts and textures made a very satisfying balance in every dish. - the team was super friendly and informative, and always one step before we ask for something, - the tempo of the dishes was great! Gave us room to enjoy each taste separately before moving on to the next.

A special experience to be there, exceptionally tasty food presented in a wonderful way.

Warm welcome at the entrance. The restaurant is decorated in a homely manner, which makes it feel cozy. The service is excellent; the staff are friendly, enthusiastic and clearly knowledgeable about what they serve. An extensive description of the dishes and accompanying wines is given for each course. The dishes are layered and taste delicious. In addition, the portions are such that you are well satisfied at the end of the evening, but not too satisfied. Be prepared that you can't just eat here for a few bucks, that is not the case. Only point for feedback; it would be nice if there was communication about the up-sells, such as the “mocha friandises”. These now appear on the bill somewhat unexpectedly. Certainly Michelin-worthy and very suitable establishment for a culinary evening out, which does not feel elitist, but easily accessible.

Super extensive food, once again had a dessert appetizer

Aunt Koosje…. On October 26, 2023 I had dinner here with my girlfriend, she took me here as a surprise. Because Aunt Koosje had been on the wish list for a while, I was really looking forward to this and expectations were high. Once we arrived we were warmly welcomed and kindly guided to our table. The interior is old-fashioned, but that has its charm and does not detract from the atmosphere. It is warm, cozy and cozy. So great to enjoy. Anyway, once at the table we ordered a glass of bubbles to start the evening. The choice fell on Laurent Perrier. It was served by the glass and is an excellent aperitif for non-connoisseurs or enthusiasts. This was followed by the appetizers, which were visually nice, but not a sensation in terms of taste. That's too bad. The first starter consisted of cold trout and lukewarm/warm Langoustine. The accompanying vegetables on the plate were cold and the sauce that was supposed to complete the dish was also lukewarm. Now I couldn't figure out whether this dish was deliberately prepared this way or whether elements were not prepared properly. When asked, the waiter could not answer that either. The taste was otherwise good. This was followed by the King Fish with melon. The dish looked visually beautiful. Because I had never eaten King Fish before, I naturally wanted to taste the fish in all its purity without the added ingredients of the dish. That was a disappointment because the fish tasted very “fishy”. That was a shame as I also love sashimi and this fish is also served raw. After I added all the ingredients together in one bite, the "fishiness" fortunately disappeared and the dish was ok. I would not have eaten this dish otherwise. The next course was pork belly, which was a pleasant and tasty dish. (Especially because the previous courses were cold.) The piece of pork belly was wonderfully soft and tender and had a great taste. The subsequent piece of domestic duck breast was also excellent. Well cooked, flavorful and a delicious matching sauce. As an extra course for dessert I had a cheese board. With the idea of ​​being pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately, the taste of the cheeses was disappointing, which was a shame. After this disappointment came dessert. This was preceded by a nice amuse that was an excellent introduction to the final piece, the orange dessert was optional and tasted fine. The conclusion of this evening is a disappointment to be very honest. Especially because there are restaurants in the fine dining segment that do not have a star but know how to serve hit after hit in terms of taste and preparation and allow you to return home with a great experience.

Delicious food, the culinary experience is a lot more modern than the decoration would lead you to believe. The younger service is proactively managed by the Maître. Fruity light wines in combination. fresh dishes. Turbot with Pata Negra and Kingfish with Cantaloupe were the highlights for us.

Mooie, gezellige locatie, maar het eten viel wat tegen in verhouding tot de prijs. Drankjes, inclusief water, zijn ook zeer prijzig.

echt een fantastisch terras, waar we ontzettend goede plekken hebben gekregen. het eten was goed de wijn was lekker. gezellig na getafeld met huis vriend Piet.. bij het inschenken van de wijn werd er behoorlijk gemorst, we konden niet plaatsen of het nonchalant was of dat het zo hoorde, was echt grappig. glazen waren niet super schoon. We komen zeker terug Bedankt Ted en Pat

Heerlijk gegeten en voortreffelijke composities. Bediening vonden wij "ingesleten" vriendelijk. Komt niet als warm en hartelijk ambiance over. Ook wij kregen bij de koffie ongevraagd 2 doosjes met 4 chocolaatjes op de tafel "gegooid". Op de rekening 22 euro!!!!!!!(was blijkbaar 2 jaar geleden 17 euro). Of wij terug komen....denk het niet

Perfect restaurant voor een avondvullend 5gangendiner met voortreffelijk wijnarrangement, maar wel prijzig.

Heerlijk gegeten. Prachtig weer. Parkeren is wel enigszins ingewikkeld als je de buurt niet kent. Fijne service. Wij zaten buiten, maar binnen was ook erg mooi ingericht. Het is aan de prijs maar wel de ervaring waard.

Een van de betere restaurants en de beoordeling is dan ook overeenkomstig. Sfeervol restaurant, fijne bediening. Mooie locatie ook.

Heerlijke avond gehad, heerlijk gegeten!

Gisteren hier weer geweldig gegeten. Het is een restaurant met een ster en is gevestigd in een prachtig oud pand in het schitterende Loenen aan de Vecht. De gerechten van ons 5 gangen menu waren heerlijk en de bijbehorende wijnen van het wijnarrangement pasten er perfect bij. We werden bediend door zeer kundig en vriendelijk personeel. Het was niet de eerste keer dat we hier waren en het zal zeker niet de laatste keer zijn.

Complimenten aan de kok, eten was erg lekker! Bediening afstandelijk, onprofessioneel en onervaren. Arrangement water p.p.€ 7,25, erg aan de prijs (en wordt pp berekend, dus €14,50 voor ieder 2 glazen water). Wij gaan volgende keer weer naar auguste in Maarssen.

Sinds een aantal jaar (14) een van onze favo-places om te genieten. Dit is niet een avondje uiteten, het is een avondje proeven. Erg gezellige huislijke prettige sfeer met een top-staff! Altijd alles onder controle. Zeker een aanrader om een lekker een avondje te gaan ervaren wat gastvrijheid, mooie smaken en service nu echt zijn.

Vorig jaar (2022) meerdere keren gedineerd. Fantastische gerechten, knus zitten, attente bediening, mooie keuze m.b.t. de wijnen. Verheug me nu al op een volgende keer. Hier moet je een keer (of meerdere keren) geweest zijn!

Leuke plek voor een goed en lekker diner. Alle gangen zagen er heerlijk uit, en zo smaakten ze ook. Leuk personeel en vriendelijk in omgang. Zeker een geslaagde avond!

Geweldige keuken in combinatie met bediening vanuit menselijke warmte is de reden dat we elk jaar minstens een keer bij tante Koosje proberen te eten.
