Delicious food, but we waited 30 minutes to even get the menu. Then we waited again for the drinks, as the sever forgot our order. The food then also took some time such that we waited in total more than an hour and twenty minutes. The food however was delicious. Other people in the restaurant were served faster.

I've dined at this restaurant several evenings and tried a variety of dishes. Everything was delicious and top-quality. I also received a warm, attentive, and always friendly welcome, and the atmosphere was truly pleasant. I highly recommend trying the fried pizza and caponata, both 100% Italian dishes.

Excellent service. Very nice and polite staff, it feels like the guys sincerely want to please each guest. My friend modestly said that it was the best pasta she had eaten in the Netherlands. I ordered ravioli, it was also delicious. Although a bit greasy, but without this fat it would not be so tasty 😅. The portions are normal size, we waited about 15 minutes, which is also normal

Amazing! I randomly came across this little gem one sunny day in April and decided to try the pasta. Since then, it’s become one of my absolute favorite spots, and I keep coming back very regularly. The food is delicious and the staff are always super friendly. Highly recommend!

Excellent food and extraordinary hospitality

Just around the corner from our new place in Den Haag, we tried Napo (even with some not so great reviews). We found the vibe to be really welcoming - nice dining outside on a sidestreet. The appetizers we're tremendous, including a warm funghi salad. The pasta mains were also very good, particularly the pasta itself. Definitely homemade taglioni with a good al dente bite. Nothing processed here. And the wine recommendation, for a simple house red - was very good - a Campanian red with smoky undertones. Much better than the other reviews state.

Excellent dinner at this truly Italian restaurant. Excellent parmigiana, perfectly cooked lasagna, and flavorful fillet steak. Very friendly, kind, and professional staff. Lovely atmosphere. Great selection of Campania wines.

Great food and impeccable service. The young owners from Napoli did their everything to ensure a wonderful dining experience. E.g. the antipasti dello chef were adapted to our preferences and their fried pizzas were a new experience. Exceptional service and positive vibe from the full staff. We went back 2 days later to dine here again.

A fantastic Italian restaurant run by real Italians, right in the center of The Hague! The food is fresh, homemade, and full of flavor – from perfect pasta to wood-fired pizza. I highly recommend the restaurant because the food is very good and there is a very good atmosphere. Tonight, I ate a carbonnara as if I were in Naples ;) . They also have gluten-free pasta.

The food was delicious, the service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere pleasant. We each had a glass of wine with our pizzas, which was poured quite sparingly (just under 0.1 liter). The prices are on the higher side, but not overpriced.

I ordered the traditional Neapolitan pizza fritte and it was FAN-TAS-TIC! I've never had such a delicious pizza anywhere in the Netherlands. What wonderful people and what a cozy atmosphere. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Amazing food!!! Beautiful setting and atmosphere. We have eaten here twice and highly recommend it. Pasta followed by pizza and tiramisu to finish. You will never have had tiramisu like it. If you want to try authentic food from Napoli here is a fantastic place to start! Ask Zara to tell you the story of it 😊 Giuseppe and Zara make you feel welcome, at home and part of the family. We are so glad to have spent our last evening of the holiday with you.

I was there for the first time, and I could sit outside. The service was slow; it took 15 minutes to get my order, even though no one was sitting down to eat. I also waited a long time for my pizza, a total of 45 minutes before I finally got it. The pizza was okay. I ordered a non-alcoholic Peroni 0.0 beer, but I got a real Peroni with alcohol in it. So, I definitely won't be back.

I had a dinner there with two friends in the terrace outdoor: we shared a mix of Italian starters followed by a pizza bufala, tagliatelle with truffle and beef tagliata. Everything was very tasty and fairly priced. Tiramisu is hands down the best in town. Aperol Spritz and Falanghina wine are very good as well.

There appears to be a new operator/owner here. We were there in 2024 and now in May 2025. It's impossible to compare the two; things have deteriorated dramatically. In 2024, the menu was different, and we were told that about 20% of the dishes on the current menu were no longer available. Unfortunately, the wine list also had gaps when ordering. Instead of the previously excellent pizzas, there were now deep-fried pizzas with a filling that was a tasteless mush. Imagine it like a pizza calzone, only deep-fried and with an indefinable taste. It was a rubbery lump of dough with a bit of filling. Anyone can make the salmon better than what was served here. The lasagna was also a flop. Unfortunately, the money was completely wasted here. We've rarely eaten so badly. So, a lot of shade, but the service was very friendly and courteous. It was once a very good restaurant when it was still called "Made in Sud." The new name is "Napo," and unfortunately, it no longer has anything to do with the excellent "Made in Süd" brand. We definitely won't be going there again.

It is always hard to leave Italy, so much to appreciate. Therefore we are always looking for good Italian places to eat. Made in Sud by Napo is a great find. The welcome, the room, service, the wine and the food left us happy and satisfied. True italians loving to share their culture. From the quality of the setting to the wonderful tiramisu. The wine list is brief but chosen with care. The fresh homemade ingredients and presentation are excellent. The misto antipasto with wonderful meats, cheeses and olives, surprisingly good. The ravioli and gnocchi in delicate sauces and bread all made in the kitchen to the surprising tiramisu and cheesecake, all made with care and pride. - Bologna, Torino, Napoli, Lecce, the food at Made in Sud by Napo is as good as any we have enjoyed in those great cities. We are glad we are in Den Haag a few more days so we can go back and enjoy what these good people share. (I rarely write reviews but this place deserves to be praised.)

Caution! The menu saved here shows incorrect prices. But that's just one of the many problems. The ravioli cost €20. On the ice-cold plate there are 5 ravioli the size of a thumbnail, which - logically - arrive at the table ice-cold. The same goes for the beef fillet, which arrives raw and cold. The promised mushroom sauce was fried but cold mushrooms without any sauce. 24€. We also ordered potatoes for €6.95, which were then placed on the table 10 minutes later without comment when asked. It was 1 potato, cut into strips, briefly heated in olive oil. Tough raw and without salt or similar. Today's lasagna was in béchamel instead of tomato sauce. For €20 I got a piece measuring approximately 9x13 cm. A mini portion, which - true to form - was of course also served cold. When I pointed out that the ice-cold plates were a problem, I was told that you should never warm up plates because the food would continue to cook. I have never eaten so badly and at the same time so expensively in the Netherlands. Since it is a new opening (at least that's what it says on a sign in front of the door), the many positive reviews were certainly not given for this operator. The pictures also show dishes such as pizza etc. that are not even offered here.

Vorsicht! Die hier gespeicherte Speisekarte zeigt falsche Preise. Aber das ist nur eins, der vielen Probleme. Die Ravioli kosten 20€. Auf dem eiskalten Teller finden sich dann 5 Daumennagel-große Ravioli, die - logisch - eiskalt am Tisch ankommen. Das gleiche gilt für das Rinderfilet, dass roh und kalt ankommt. Die versprochene Pilzsauce waren gebratene aber kalte Champignons ohne jegliche Sauce . 24€. Dazu hatten wir Kartoffeln für 6,95€ geordert, die dann auf Nachfrage 10 Minuten später kommentarlos auf den Tisch gestellt wurden. Es handelte sich um 1 Kartoffel, die in Streifen geschnitten kurz in Olivenöl erhitzt wurde. Knallhart roh und ohne Salz o. ä. Die Lasagne war heute in Béchamel statt Tomatensauce. Für 20€ kam dann ein Stück in den Abmessungen ca 9x13 cm. Eine Miniportion, die - da blieb man dich treu - natürlich auch kalt serviert wurde. Auf meinen Hinweis, dass die eiskalten Teller ein Problem sind, wurde ich zurechtgewiesen, dass man Teller niemals aufwärmen dürfe, da das Essen dadurch weitergaren würde. Ich habe in den Niederlanden noch nie so schlecht und gleichzeitig so teuer gegessen. Da es sich um eine Neueröffnung handelt ( so zumindest steht es auf einem Schild vor der Tür) sind die vielen positiven Bewertungen sicher nicht für diesen Betreiber abgegeben worden.

Tasty but small portions, long wait for wine and food

Bland on every level. We are extremely surprised by the 4.3 star rating which does not at all reflect what we experienced. It's been a long time since I've been to such a mediocre restaurant. The fairly welcoming waiters try to make you feel at ease but you sense that something is wrong. And indeed as soon as he brings us the card, we are told that 20% of the card is no longer available. No problem, these things happen. However, when our poor Bruschetta on two slices of half-toasted sandwich bread placed on a bed of unseasoned iceberg salad arrived, we knew that the rest was going to be difficult. And it didn't fail, the pasta dishes (gnocchi with mussels without mussels and cappelicini with a bar without a bar) were bland. The homemade pasta is well executed but the sauce and stuffing had no taste. I have the impression that we were served leftovers from the week (we were there on a Sunday evening). We of course didn’t have the desserts given the fiasco of the starter and main course! I even had the impression that the waiters were not convinced of what they were serving, the embarrassment was palpable. In conclusion, don't waste your time, there are much better places to taste pasta in The Hague.

Besides the fact that the food here was very good, the atmosphere and service were also great. Beautiful explanation of the dishes and in particular the tiramesu. One to remember.

Finalmente decidí entrar en este pequeño restaurante italiano cerca del hotel. Lamento haber esperado tanto tiempo en mi viaje. Fue una experiencia fabulosa. El personal es cálido y acogedor y el espacio en sí es acogedor y cómodo. Fui por los espaguetis a la carbonara que se hizo perfectamente de la manera tradicional. Si el sabor por sí solo no te convence de que la comida sea tradicional, el número de personas de habla italiana que entran debería. Siempre es una buena señal.

Las chuletas eran de buena calidad y bien cocinadas, pero el plato era un poco aburrido y las patatas eran tibias en el mejor de los casos. El problema principal con este restaurante para nosotros era que estaba demasiado frío.

I personally didn't expect to find an Italian restaurant like this in the whole Netherlands. One of the best Carbonara that I have eaten across several European countries even Italy! The staff were true professionals who make sure that u are welcomed and well served! very good prices in the wine list! (exceptional prices for middle europe) and the dishes in comparison with the quality were very affordable. A sure stop on my next trip in hague. Try this Carbonara !!! with 3 spoons of parmigiana!

Was just eating there. The good reviews are incomprehensible to me. Had buffalo mozzarella with grilled vegetables as a starter. 3-4 coarse slices of tomatoes and mozzarella and two cold slices each of eggplant and zucchini. As a main course, handmade tortellini with ok taste. Ambience was rather worn out. I don't think that can be the standard for good Italian food. Too bad

THE BEST! we stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for random things to eat, and it did not disappoint! Food was delicious with good portions. But the food isn't even the best part. It's the servers and the hospitality team! They took the time to explain the meals to us and answered all our questions. It was like getting a story/history lesson with your meal (which made us appreciate it even more!) you can really see how dedicated they are with their jobs. (Kudos to the male server as well as the lovely French and italian speaking ladies!) Loved the experience and will definitely be back! Thanks so much!

Had a very negative experience at this restaurant last night. Dinner for six people. Three of us ordered the pasta of the day: penne with ragu di manzo for €21 pp. What we got was three plates of overcooked penne with a sauce that was mostly oil. Our attempt to discuss this with the waiter was fruitless. We wouldn't understand Italian food and the dish would be just okay. After two of us sent the plates back - having eaten at most three bites each - we were told we would just have to pay for this. Nothing else was possible. The owner was then called in. Instead of starting the conversation, the first thing the gentleman did was pick up the phone to call the police (!!!). After mediation by one of our other table companions, the owner was eventually willing to take one pasta off the bill. To avoid further drama, we paid for the other one. I have had a good meal here before, also for business purposes. But after this experience I will definitely never come here again.

Had a lovely dinner there when we travelled to the Hague last week. We only stayed 4 nights but we went twice, because it was so good. The food was delicious, there was NOTHING we ordered that it wasn't perfect - highlight for me was the calamari and the Tiramisu (but both pastas I had were also amazing). Everyone working there was very lovely and nice. We will be coming back next time we are in the Hague.

Todo estaba bien. Estaba tomando la cena con mi madre y el camarero Parisienne que nos atienden fue muy amable y profesional. Muy recomendable si se puede disfrutar de comida italiana en La Haya.

I recently ate here and I thought it was meah. Friendly welcome and service, but the food was too little and too expensive for what you got. Normally I never finish a pizza (that's why I didn't order a starter), I knew a lot, but unfortunately it was a small, weak pizza. So I didn't feel like ordering anything else. The meat was also very small and you had to order everything separately. No limoncello drink from home afterwards, that would have made it so much more fun. What really struck me was that 2 tables were occupied and when we were there in May, the Christmas and Easter decorations were still hanging in the window. Well, this case has had its day. What surprised me is the reaction that followed. (Adapted later, by the way) a person like me wouldn't be worthy of limoncello. Sigh…!

A very nice, small, authentic Italian restaurant. The waitresses were very friendly and accommodating. The food was great. The two of us shared the bruschetta. One person had pizza and the other person had pasta. The portions were definitely enough! For dessert we ordered a tiramisu and shared it. The chef comes out personally (when there is less business) and explains how a real tiramisu is prepared. The price-performance ratio is also good. The two of us paid less than €60. We were very satisfied and recommend the restaurant 100%.

Unfortunately we didn't have such a nice experience. I'm annoyed that I didn't take any pictures of the food. I had a pizza that was quite good. The dough was definitely very tasty. For my main course I had the recommendation of the day, beef stew. There were an incredible 5 small pieces of meat, you had to look for the potatoes and carrots. The sauce had no power. So for me, no trained chef did that. The hammer for me was that this small plate should cost €25. Without supplement. At €5 for a bit of spinach it came on top. So I felt like I was in a tourist trap.
