We cycled from Utrecht to this little restaurant on a summery Friday evening. You really should explore the area and order the specialties from South India. Very tasty, good prices. You can get a 330ml soft drink for 2 euros. They don't always offer those small 200ml bottles for 4 euros. The food is also super delicious.

We recently had the pleasure of ordering food from Thendral for our event, and she completely surpassed our expectations. From the first bite to the last, it was clear that every dish was crafted with care and an amazing sense of flavor. The food was fresh, ‘Generously portioned’, and praised by guests. The mutton Briyani is the best I ever had in Netherlands…. Guests kept raving about the Gulab jamun, Rose milk, egg curry and curd rice which was served along….

Really tasty and authentic South Indian food!

We’ve tried their food a few times before in the restaurant, so for a special occasion, we decided to order from Eindhoven and it was absolutely worth it! The mutton biryani was outstanding rich in flavor with plenty of tender mutton pieces. The chicken 65 was perfectly cooked, juicy and full of flavor, and the egg masala was truly exceptional. We also loved the gulab jamun with khoya - a sweet ending that didn’t disappoint! The curd rice, veg biryani, and gobi 65 were all delicious and well-prepared. Everyone at the gathering enjoyed the meal, and the portion sizes were very generous — more than enough for everyone. Highly recommend!

Wow, that was so disappointing. I love South Indian food, so I was looking forward to enjoying the food I'd picked up at home. However, I was blinded by the positive reviews :-( The masala dosa was good. The rest, not at all. We also had two vegetarian curries. The vegetables came from a can. We specifically asked for the food to be less spicy. The result was that we cooked spaghetti for our children and ate a few spoonfuls of it. Regardless of the spiciness, the food was completely tasteless.

Excellent South Indian food. My wife really liked the uthappam but the masala dosa was a bit too spicy for her. Highly recommended. (Free parking is available in Bisonspoor for 4 hours)

Nice South Indian food. We ordered chicken 65, mutton kari dosai, parotta mutton thokku and chicken biriyani. All dishes we ordered were delicous with same authentic taste as we eat in our home town. Went with family, we were nicely received and served with big smile. Our home’s little food critic (my kid) finished his plate without any complaint 😊We were satisfied. Keep it up! Highly recommended.

Delicious food! We ordered and picked it up and it was ready on time. The lady received us very kindly and we were given some extra eggs. The fried cauliflower and the curries are highly recommended. The butter chicken also tasted delicious. It is a small place with some tables, but I don't see it as a cozy interior, so we stick to take-away, but the warmth of the hostess can probably make up for a lot (but we have not tried that). Definitely recommended for takeout!

One of the best south indian restaurent in netherlands

Perfect place to have South Indian food. We (3 couples with kids) visited the place recently. We had an amazing time. The host was very friendly and accommodated our request to pre-order food (they made idlis just for the kids) as we travelled from Amsterdam to this place. Biriyani, Kothu parota, chicken 65, egg mutton kalakki, mutton chukka, dosa, onion uthappam, mango juice, sweet-salt lime soda - everything was just fantastic! We have dined in many Indian restaurants in Europe, and trust me, this is by far the best among all! We will definitely visit this place during our next trip. Car parking is very convenient too (nearby bisonspoor parking space - 4 hours free)

This was my second visit to the restaurant, and honestly, it was disappointing, especially compared to my first visit when the food was amazing. This time, everything we ordered — from the drinks and starters to the main dish and dessert — lacked flavor and didn’t taste fresh. The biryani, egg, and chicken were cold, and the chicken and egg, in particular, seemed like they hadn’t been cooked on the same day. It was a letdown after such a great first experience.

A very simple and delicious place. Haven't tried a lot of southern Indian specials but butter chicken was nice and tender. If you don't eat much, you can take one dish for two people.

A small South Indian eatery tucked away on the side of a shopping center, but serving incredibly delicious food. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The food is of excellent quality and tasted fantastic. The atmosphere is that of a true eatery—small, but entirely focused on great food.

You can eat well here and the service is very friendly. However, the restaurant is quite without atmosphere and this is enhanced by the low temperature in the room. This does not make it pleasant to eat there. I missed the richness of flavors in the curry, it was all in all very plain. Vegetables appear to be frozen. Too bad, I expected more given the ratings on Google.

On Boxing Day we had an Indian meal with the family via Madurai. Everyone loved it. Both the biryanis and the curries. We were surprised with a number of free dishes, everything tasted delicious. The owner is very friendly. In short, a very tasty introduction to South Indian cuisine!

It was our first time there, the food was delicious and tasty, the atmosphere was good and the service was very friendly and helpful, you felt at home.

If you looking to eat food cooked with a heart , Madurai Masala Cafe is the place. To test the heart theory all you need to eat is their ghee dosa it takes you straight down to the south of India. We have eaten there a couple of times now , from their chicken thokku porotha , mutton thokku paratha , filter coffee , the new addition of butter chicken paratha - mind you the paratha is super soft and super tasty you wont know what’s better the chicken or paratha We have eaten there as well as take away. Unfortunately they are not on Kookxtra anymore but they are on Thuisbezorgd so if you are at home and craving their food you can still get it Our bill came to 61 euro for 3 main dishes ie chicken thokku paratha , mutton thokku paratha , butter chicken paratha , ghee dosa and filter coffee with portions you can happily say I filled my tummy well.

This is by far the best south Indian food I've had in Europe. I loved their enthusiasm and of course their food. Very authentic flavors, even more authentic cutlery, and truly made me feel like I was back home. Best wishes to the owners to keep it up and running at the same quality every day.

Amazing South Indian food! Best idlis we’ve had anywhere (even in India). It’s like authentic home made idlis with great chutneys. Other must try recipes include - chicken kothu parotta, mutton chukka, and mutton biriyani. Very humble and friendly owner. Must visit if you are in the Netherlands!!

Idli is a must try, delicious South Indian Cusine

I recently enjoyed a home-cooked meal after a long time. I highly recommend trying Chicken 65 and Madurai special chicken biryani. You must give them a try! Another favorite of mine is parota(i think they cooked with some spicy oil), especially when paired with spicy Chettinad curry.

We ordered mushroom 65, chicken 65 biriyani, lamb curry with white rice and two soft drinks which were all delicious and abundant. We paid €46 for them all. Staff was very kind and service was quite fast. I am very glad we have such an authentic restaurant in Maarssenbroek.

It is an excellent cozy spot for an authentic South Indian food with friends and family. The chicken kothu parotta, chicken chukka, and dosas are served in generous portions and are absolutely delicious. Ending the meal with a traditional filter coffee was perfect. The staff were incredibly friendly and ensured everything was just right. A must-try!

Very unpleasant tent, little atmosphere. Had a bit of canteen vibes. Ate via social deal, the starter was 3 pieces of dry chicken. The main course was a lot of rice, curry that was very salty with 5 small pieces of lamb in it and the dessert was 2 small meatballs (which were heated in the microwave). Although the staff was very friendly, the food was really very little and we went home hungry. For is no more.

We ordered vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The quality and taste are excellent. The price is good. The hospitality and atmosphere in the cafe was nice. Our favourites were Parotta - Chicken Thokku, Chicken 65 and Podi Idly. The location is very accessible with a car and public transport. There is parking lot right opposite to the restaurant. It is free to park there for 4 hours. The restaurant is 8-minute walk away from the Maarssen train station.

We had a very nice meal here with 4 people. Ordered several dishes to share, all delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant is quite simple, but fine. It's actually a shame that it's quite small because the food is really good.
