We had a great meal! Because we were going to a concert afterwards, we were looking for a restaurant where the food was served quickly, but where the quality was also good — and we more than succeeded! We started with sushi as a starter and then both enjoyed a tasty dish. The staff was very friendly and the food was on the table surprisingly quickly. Definitely recommended!

I’m open to Asian fusion or non-traditional dishes, but the food still needs to be enjoyable. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite hit the mark for me.

Antisocial, ordered 2 hours ago and the best men think it is a good idea to cancel the order after 1 hour and 55 minutes.

Very quick service, sometimes at the expense of not everyone at the table getting their food at the same time. The food is very nice. Nothing extraordinary but very solid for a great price.

Food, poke bowl was okay, a bit frugal. Breaded chicken pieces very small and few. Table was dirty and sticky, we had to ask if they wanted to clean it... just threw cloths over it, too bad!. Friendliness was missing... too bad .. not to be repeated.

Nice little place with nice spots outside and inside. But really bad service. Our waitress was not well informed about the menu and came across as very incompetent. We had only ordered 3 dishes for which she had to get a separate booklet to write everything down. 2/3 dishes were still ordered incorrectly. What I also found very unfortunate is that both the drinks and the food did not arrive at the same time. The food tasted fine. The toilet also does not look well maintained.

Looks very nice, but atmosphere is less. My partner's food came well before my own. Food itself was very tasty. Service was okay but no more than that. Fine for practical good food.

Great variety of popular Japanese food with affordable prices. I tried the Tori-Katsu Curry part of the lunch deal and it exceeded my expectations, with the affordable price of 11 euros it gave the perfect amount of both sweetness and spiciness, while making me full to the brim. However, I'd like to say the staff were very limited with only one waiter active at the time I visited, it made ordering very difficult and it also caused longer wait times on the food.

Very cozy place. You can find affordable but tasty Asian food there. I especially like the Pokebowl, lots of meat and for less than 15 euros you are certainly satisfied. Definitely recommended, I will come back here more often!

Impossible, I would rather avoid it. The service is incompetent and the portions are not nearly as good as they seem, both in terms of size and appearance. The tiny portions that were brought were quite tasty, well at least the ones that didn't fall down and were then put back on the plate. Overall, not cheap at all.

Ordered via home delivery, after waiting an hour I called the restaurant and it could not be delivered. It is now half past ten in the evening. I was able to pick it up myself. Last time I come or order here

Als je hier voor het eerst binnen komt krijg je een beetje rumoerige indruk, tafeltjes dicht op elkaar, en de akoestiek is ook niet echt geweldig. Weken van te voren besproken voor twee personen, maar er was geen tafeltje gereserveerd voor ons hmm..., maar gelukkig was er nog wel een plekje vrij. Om iets van de uitgebreide menukaart te bestellen kan je dit doen via een QR-code met je telefoon, of via de bediening. Eten is oké, ik had een sissend gerecht was prima, mijn vrouw had gekozen voor Ramen en dan de Tantanmen heeft ze na een paar happen laten staan, TE pittig, en als nog gekozen voor een ander gerecht, dat is het risico als je met je telefoon via QR-code besteld en op deze manier geen uitleg krijgt. Toch was er één iemand van de bediening die wel Nederlands sprak en ons vriendelijk heeft geholpen, de rest van het personeel spreekt voornamelijk Engels. Het is allemaal zo onpersoonlijk geworden in deze tijd. Nagerecht "Ben & Jerry's" krijg je op tafel in een ronde bakje, wat je zo ook in de supermarkt kan kopen. De twee toiletten voor zo'n middel grote zaak zijn echt te weinig, ook zouden deze beter schoongemaakt kunnen worden, en ze hebben achterstallig onderhoud.

When you first enter here you get a bit of a messy and busy impression, tables close together, and the acoustics are not really great either. Discussed weeks in advance for two people, but no table was reserved for us, but luckily there was still a spot available. To order something from the extensive menu, you can do this via the QR code with your phone, or via the service. Food is okay, I had a sizzling dish that was fine, my wife opted for Ramen and then she left the Tantanmen after a few bites, TOO spicy, and if she opted for another dish, that is the risk if you order with your phone via QR code and receive no explanation this way. However, there was one person who spoke Dutch and helped us kindly, the rest of the staff mainly speaks English. It has all become so impersonal these days. Dessert "Ben & Jerry's" is served to the table in a cardboard container, which you can also buy in the supermarket. Too few toilets for such a reasonably large business, which could really be cleaned better and are in need of maintenance.

Today is the 2nd time I ate here with my girlfriend. The food is very tasty, and the prices are reasonable. Last time they forgot our drinks, but this can happen. Tonight I got my food and they completely forgot the rest. After waiting for fifteen minutes I went after it and we got our drinks. Another fifteen minutes later (I had already finished my food) they asked if my girlfriend still wanted her food (duh). So another fifteen minutes later my girlfriend finally got her food, to which I commented that I assumed it was free now. Nothing could be further from the truth, just pay the full amount. Again the food is fine, but if you want to eat out I would definitely skip this shop. Never again for us

Went for a long lunch with my crew. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, and even threw some extra food our way. Food was great, I think we'll make this a regular spot.

Incredibly delicious food! I had the Bibim bap with tofu and it tasted perfect and was very seasoned. Service is also good, ambience is great. Anytime again (should I come to Groningen again)!

De tafel was vies. Personeel liep heen en weer met doekje, maar ze kwamen de tafel niet afruimen. Wachten en wachten. Ging zelf naar de kassa, eten bestelen. Maar het eten kwam steeds niet. Personeel spreekt GEEN Nederlands. Zijn Engels was heel slecht.

The chiefs in the kitchen are eating with their bare hands and licking their fingers and then touching people's food. if you go there just watch the open kitchen, they do it like no one can see them. It's disgusting 🤮

Called before ordering to ask if they could also do the ramen gluten free. They said that was possible, that I could just put it in the description. Just got wheat noodles. After I reported this, I received the correct one, but with a less visible allergen this could have gone wrong.

Great restaurant with delicious food! However, it is useful if the staff checks carefully whether people have finished eating. My plate was almost taken away while I was having a conversation, at the table, with food still on my plate.

Ordered ramen with shrimp, I thought I got it in my ramen but I didn't. Today was Valentine's Day but they had party music on like “Im a Barbie girl” not exactly romantic calm music. The food was fine! Definitely recommended to try it.

Sat in an atmosphereless cold basement, the lights were turned off before the bill was even paid. Nothing was cleared in between so our table was full of glasses, plates and other crockery. The staff was very unfriendly and grumpy and there was little trace of friendliness. Afterwards there was nothing to say about this as the staff knew almost nothing about anything and certainly could not speak to us in Dutch. They didn't notice that it was cold, while half of the group spent the entire evening wearing a jacket in the basement, which was incredibly devoid of atmosphere and bleak. Very bad experience, a shame as the food was quite reasonable. But the considerable amount that we spent here with 9 people was absolutely not worth it!!!

Ate there with a group and not satisfied! We were in the basement, which has been 'open' since today. Atmosphereless and freezing, so we sat with our coats on. Payment had not yet been made when the lights were literally turned off and the service was not very friendly either.

I went for dinner a couple of days ago with some friends. The food is the best of Groningen and the service was great. There was a waitress called Sofia that made my friends and my day better.

Great food, for about ~€15 per (pretty big) meal. The Dragon Rolls and Pokebowls are especially good. You order by scanning a QR code at your table, which can be confusing, especially to older people.

I used to enjoy coming to Magoya. However, the quality has deteriorated considerably. Small portions (except for the amount of rice), less tasty and cold side dishes (gyoza). Toilets were dirty and the tap seemed to be almost falling apart.

I had too high expectations of Magoya, but I was very disappointed. Mediocre food and it was even a bit cold. Really nothing special about the food and you can much better go to the standard Chinese. Also hygiene is hard to find. Especially in the toilet.

We got the tofu poke bowls. They were great, but sadly there was a whole STONE in the food, that could’ve broken our teeth. It was as big as my whole finger tip. Very unacceptable and dangerous.

A kind of Asian cafeteria. It all tastes a bit factory. Spongy structureless pieces of chicken fillet in Miso, the same cheap sweet sauce for all starters. The noodles in a generous layer of soy sauce. Reasonable portions for a reasonable price and that is why it still has 4 stars, but it all tastes a bit cheap. Friendly staff.

I have been here to try Asian food , I have a real good sizzle dish with beef tenderloin , vegetables and rice , the portion was big really tasty and I can't wait to eat there next time . Strongly recommended. Thank you for delicious food 🥘

The best restaurant in town! The food is outstanding, and the portions are enormous. The atmosphere is very chill, with a lot of tables, and they have a cute small terrace outside as well. The service is super fast,and it is so convenient to order with a tablet. Staff is so nice and welcoming as well!! It was our second time here, and we will definitely come back more often!

Honestly, I could not imagine ramen being worse than this. It was just tasteless water with some overcooked noodles and 2 pieces of broccoli. Biggest waste of money, can't even call it ramen. And it was even more expensive than other places that actually put effort into their dishes 🥲

Fast service, ordering is a bit impersonal, you order via QR code, but when you get your food the staff has a lot of positive energy. I ordered a pokebowl with salmon, the only downside to the QR-code is that I didn't know how to leave the corn out of my pokebowl (I ended up picking them out one by one with chopsticks).

I had the bimbim bap with crispy chicken and the chicken was really good. Could use more sauce in my opinion but overall a solid dish. The two-person tables by the window and the dim lights make this a cosy restaurant. The waitress was really friendly and helpful. Not fine dining but overall good price-quality ratio.

Great place to eat very good food

Zoals altijd lekker gegeten. Zoals altijd verbazing over de smerige toiletten. Zo jammer! De WC's worden gewoon tijdens openingstijden niet schoongemaakt.

I had higher expectations… went to dinner with a friend. First we got an order from another table? Then I got my main course after 5/10 minutes of ordering (vegetarian poke bowl, which was okay but an abundance of kewpie mayo?) and then the starters (mini Vega spring rolls from the freezer and Vega gyoza without flavour) plus eating my girlfriend. The restaurant was also very cold, the menu was also not up to date in terms of prices.?? delivery staff walked straight through the restaurant which is a bit strange… It felt like a fast food place with a restaurant twist…

The price is affordable. The beef pokébowl I ordered was very generous and tasted delicious!

Ordering at the table is easy via the website. This minimizes contact with the operator. Food (e.g. Bibimbap, Ramen, Chow mian, Pokebowl, Donburi, Sushi) is tasty, crispy fresh and not expensive. The restaurant just has new owners. The meaning of the restaurant's name remains somewhat unclear: possibly 'sun', ☀️ in Chinese...? Reservations at this restaurant are not possible - arriving on time to get a table is the only option (but there is always room). - Sitting outside is also possible when the weather is nice. There is a savings card system that allows you to save for a free bowl.

The Food came completely split. My girlfriend could finish her food before mine even came. Messed up restaurant

The food was outstanding! However, the service was terrible, waited 45 minutes to get the drinks and 1 hour to get the food. We understand it was rush hour, we raised the issue twice but only the last waiter actually made an effort to have the order delivered to our table. It’s a pity because we would return for the food, but the wait was quite frustrating. We had to rush our meal since it got so late and we had to catch the train home.

Nice restaurant. The food is fine. The last time only my noodles were too soft. Personally, I really don't like that! I didn't send it back. In hindsight I probably should have. The sushi rolls are always a hit with my children.

While I've enjoyed this restaurant in the past and the food has consistently been good, my most recent visit left me feeling conflicted. The experience started well—my partner and I ordered two mains, a starter, and drinks, with the starter arriving within 15 minutes, which felt reasonable. However, things took a turn when our mains took a full hour to arrive. During this time, there was visible confusion about which table should get what, as we were asked twice if our food had already been delivered. Despite ordering at 6 pm, we didn’t receive our mains until 7 pm, and to make matters worse, the food wasn’t served to us at the same time. What added to the frustration was the lack of accountability from the staff, with only one server showing any concern about our delayed meal. I also noticed a backlog of over 10 dishes waiting at the pass, which made me wonder. Overall, the food still delivers, but the service this time around didn’t match the quality. I understand if its busy but for no apology, accountability or proper responsibility its concerning. It’s disappointing to see such inconsistency and confusion, especially since I’ve had better experiences here before.

I always enjoy going to Magoya, because the food is delicious and the owners are very friendly. However, it has been so busy lately that it seems as if the staff can no longer keep up. Waiting 50 minutes for food where it used to take 10-15 minutes. The food is also not served at the same time, so one person has already finished their bowl while another has not yet received anything. Very unpleasant. Everything is chaotic and mixed up.

This is not the first time we’ve eaten it ❤️ everything is very tasty 🤤 the only thing I wish was that they put more ginger 🫚 the rolls are top class, simply incredibly tasty!!

Besides the sushi, I really dont enjoy anything on this menu. The poke bowls are a bit tasteless, and the lettuce is an awful addition as an ingredient. The donburi had the same issue and has to be doused with sauces to taste like anything. The chow mein was so overloaded with sauce that I just felt like I was drinking the sauce straight from the bottle. I also ordered a boba tea, and my god for 5 euros, it was the worst boba I've ever had. The pearls were still rock hard and there were barely any in it. The syrup was just too much, and it did not mix well with the milk at all. Overall pretty bad experience.

This place was alright. The food was good, but it was a bit nosy in the restaurant and it wasn't extraordinarily good food. I think maybe they were busy, because the food didn't taste completely fresh. Bear in mind, it was still a solid meal and we would maybe come back if we wanted a nice selection of noodles.

I ordered ramen with bubble tea and when the ramen was finished I went to pay and only then did it arrive with bubble tea. When I said that I would have liked it during dinner, she thought it was strange and got angry when I didn't want to pay for the drinks. The young people who work here are polite. But that old tart behind the cash register is rude.
