Mano Bowls in Binnenstad-Zuid

Over an hour and a half late, side dishes missing, poke bowls wrong, and there's a hair in my food. Don't order from here.

They say they are open but they are not open at all.

Please update your opening hours and locations on the website!! The Alphen and Leiden Stationsplein locations don't exist. I also came all the way from Voorschoten to Leiden, only to be met with a closed door (it's now 6:15 PM). So bad! Unbelievable.

Almost a two-hour wait for dinner!!! A record! The consequences: ingredients mixed up, and my son went to work without food.

Ordered at 7:00 PM, two hours later still no food. When I called, I was told the delivery driver had long since left, but only ten minutes later did I hear he'd be there "in five minutes." My biggest concern: fresh salmon that had been out of the refrigerator all this time. When I pointed this out, I received a nonchalant "it'll be fine" and the call was quickly disconnected. The delivery driver himself explained that he had far too many orders and was the only one delivering. Order refused, later a dull email from the owner: money will be refunded, nothing more. No apology, no explanation. Missed opportunity.

Besteld via thuisbezorgd. Bestelling wordt ruim een uur te laat bezorgd door een sjagerijnige bezorger. Ruim 33 euro betaald voor 2 pokebowls … verkeerd bereid, geen feta maar smeerkaas, 3 stukjes tonijn met ketting, te ver droog gekookte gekookte garnalen (4), geflambeerde zalm zoals ik de kat uit blik geef…. Minimale hoeveelheden waarvoor je extra betaalt…4 kleine blokjes mango, een schijfje avocado van 1 cm dik… nouri in dunne sliertjes … en nauwelijks saus. Wij bestellen niet meer.

Dear Mano staff, The fact that my son didn't have dinner was resolved with a sandwich. But please at least give me a refund if you didn't deliver the poke bowl. Let me know when I call or email you. Thanks in advance, Regards, Mirjam

Had to wait two hours on a Tuesday. No one answered the phone. The food was tasteless and there was a huge amount of rice with minimal toppings.

I would like to express my serious dissatisfaction with the order I recently placed with your restaurant. On [date] I ordered three poke bowls and three bubble teas, with the clear wish to receive the order no later than 5:00 PM. Unfortunately, my order was not delivered until 5:40 PM, which was not in line with the agreed time. During the wait I tried to contact your restaurant by calling no less than eight times, but without any results. This lack of communication is very disappointing. When I finally received the poke bowls, the presentation seemed fine at first, but on closer inspection the quality of the food was definitely not acceptable. The rice had clearly been cooked for too long, which resulted in a sticky and unappetizing mass. The toppings were reasonable, but this could not compensate for the other shortcomings. The bubble tea tasted really chemically, which I also threw away, which was a shame. For a total amount of €55 I expect much higher quality and service. The experience was disappointing, both in terms of the quality of the food and the delivery time and communication.

A plea to every resident of Leiden: please order your Pokébowl somewhere else. The order arrived almost an hour and a half late, contact with the store was difficult and the pokébowl was not worth the long wait.

Food has not been delivered and they are unreachable by phone. Unfortunately we didn't realize we were ordering here. This also happened the last time we ordered here.

Ordered at 6:30 PM, but the food didn't arrive until 3 hours later. I can understand that it is busy, but this is really absurd and I have never experienced this before. When you try to call the restaurant, you are simply pushed away or completely ignored Then the food: got the wrong ingredients (normal rice instead of sushi rice, avocado instead of crab sticks) and very little sauce. I didn't order extra sauce, but apparently that was important. I hope I can get some of my money back because this was a really bad experience

Really bad experience. Had to wait 2 hours for the wrong order. Tried to call the delivery person and the store right away and only got voicemail.

Ordered Pokepowl and it arrived quite quickly, unfortunately I forgot the gyoza, but that can happen so we called afterward and it would be delivered. After 1 hour and 10 minutes the delivery person arrived with the gyoza which was ice cold.

First it was 40 minutes late, then everything was in the bag and they were cut off by the phone... I wonder how long it will take before I get a new one

Ordered a rancho taco, which is supposed to be with salmon and wakame. However, I received a meager taco that had no salmon on it at all. So definitely not worth 7.95!!

We ordered 3 poke bowls and a bubble tea at 5:30 PM. After waiting an hour we started calling because it was taking quite a while. The phone immediately went to voicemail and the other mano location was unreachable. At 7:30 PM our food was finally delivered, and then comes problem two. All our poke bowls were mixed up, the base of each bowl was switched and the bubble tea was definitely not the purple rain we ordered. You can imagine that after waiting two hours and everything not being right, you wonder what you paid €50 for. I don't think you'll see us coming back anytime soon...

Unfortunately there is something wrong with the order every time. Now vegan salmon was missing (3.50 extra), the bowl was really half full and later it turned out that the wrong sauce was included. It has gone wrong so often that we will no longer order from here. * edited to 1 star instead of 2 because there was never a response.

Previously ordered delicious bowls from Mano, today they were downright nasty. It was that I was so hungry that I ate it. Rice was lumpy, sticky, and wet, not in a good way. Avocado was squashed in whole. I have to hand it to them for ripe avocado. Sauce didn't taste like anything. Salmon was minimal. Edameme hard and cold and tasted like the packaging they came from. Carrots not marinated or anything. I didn't really like it, sorry And: we had two bowls where one was considerably fuller than the other. Not that you would want two full versions of this meal

We wilden gewoon een smoothie en hoopten op vers fruit. De jongen die er werkte wist eerst niet wat ik bedoelde met ‘spring break’. Hij stond alleen en hij wist ook niet wat hij moest doen. Toen was de appelsap op en kwam een vriend van hem de appelsap van de Dirk het brengen. Het drankje was vervolgens gewoon puur appeltaart voor €5,15. We hebben 25 minuten gewacht… zou het zeker niet aanraden.

Eten 2 poke bowls met krokante kip besteld bij Mano bowls, stationsplein, ik heb , nog niet eenderde van opgegeten. De rijst was klef, de rest , groenten en kip oogden niet echt vers. Het was wel snel bezorgd, men wilde er vanaf denk ik. Teleurstellende ervaring dus

Super tasty poke bowl. I didn't hear the doorbell or my phone and the delivery person had to wait 5 minutes for me to open the door, really good service from them!

Used to love this place and have also ordered there often. However we’re still now waiting for our order after nearly 2 hours and their phone line goes straight to voicemail. A real shame but we’ll not he ordering there again!

I'm glad I discovered this really good Poké shop. The service on Wednesday afternoon is very friendly and charismatic and she works very cleanly and hygienically. I was welcomed with a smile and my questions were answered happily and in detail. The ingredients in the veggie bowl were fresh, the sauce was delicious, and the portion was large! I really enjoyed every bite. Take your stamp card with you, see you soon. ✌️

2 hours between order and delivery

I used to order here often, but I won't do this anymore. The quality of the poke bowls has deteriorated greatly. I ordered a taro bubble tea, but there was no taro in sight. It was only milk and tea. The tapioca was also completely stuck together in large pieces. I sent an email about this but I received no response at all. Nice and easy to ignore your customers.

After waiting 1.5 minutes, a call was made to ask where it was. The man on the phone indicated that it would take a few minutes, the delivery person was on his way. After an hour it was still not there. It was now 9:00 PM... you can imagine how hungry we were by now. Called again, then the man on the phone called the delivery people to find out who would have our order. It turned out that no one had taken our order and something had gone wrong in the system? I was able to send an email to an information mail to get my money back. No excuse or suggestion to still have it delivered?! Shame!! Waited 2.5 hours! And we haven't seen anything about the money yet.

Eten bij manobowls besteld. Na 1,5 wachten maar is gebeld waar het bleef. De man aan de telefoon gaf aan dat het een paar minuten zou duren nog, de bezorger was onderweg. Na een uur was het er nog steeds niet. Het was inmiddels 21:00… je kan je voorstellen hoeveel honger we intussen hadden. Nogmaals gebeld, toen heeft die man aan de telefoon de bezorgers gebeld wie onze bestelling zou hebben. Wat bleek niemand had onze bestelling en was iets fouts gegaan in het systeem? Ik kon een mailtje sturen naar een info mail om mijn geld terug te krijgen. Geen excuus of voorstel om het alsnog te laten bezorgen?! Schande!! 2,5 uur gewacht! En van het geld nog niks gezien. Nooit meer daar bestellen!

I'm typing this angry and hungry. I understand that it can be busy, but waiting 2 hours is very long. When I tried to call I was pushed away. When my 'food' arrived I was given this sad container. Normal rice instead of sushi rice, 2 pieces of salmon. Also be careful when ordering corn in your bowl, they take it very seriously and apparently like to put a whole can in it. Also ordered a poke taco, did not receive it. It can happen that something runs out, but at least let us know instead of putting half the amount in change in the bag. I hope I get my money back and I recommend never ordering here.

I ordered an hour before the break, online it said 20-40 minutes, okay fine. After 80 minutes the food finally arrives? Don't know how long it might take to make 5 pokebowls and potions, but whatever. We are happy that the food is still available during the break! But then I stick the straw in the boba and I smell the grossest sewer odor you can imagine. All the drinks smelled really bad and were undrinkable. We will never order from here again.

Ordered from Mano Bowls. An hour after receiving the order they call to say they don't have any flambéed salmon. Then we had to wait more than 1.5 hours until the food finally arrived. Okay if it takes a little longer, but after many attempts to reach them we get no response from them at all. They just refuse to answer the phone. Extremely bad service.

Ordered two completely different medium bowls, they were only delivered after more than 2 hours of waiting. We got 2 exactly the same bowls. What bad service. Not reachable by phone at all.

Ordered 2 pokebowls. The sushi rice was very cold and solid without any flavour. I suspect they just took it out of the fridge. Fish tasted fishy, and not in the good way... Rest of the ingredients were B quality at best. At this price point there are MUCH better alternatives...

I ordered three poke bowls from Mano's. It said I would have them in 15-40 minutes. After more than an hour I still didn't have them so I decided to call. the first one time someone answered laughing and then said “who are you?”. Then called again and was told the same thing. the third time they hung up immediately. It was only the fourth time that I was contacted and it turned out that something had gone wrong with the WiFi. I had to send photos of my order confirmation by email. After this I heard nothing more and Manos could no longer be reached because they were closed. in short, no service, no food, money paid and hungry.

This review is about the treatment of customers. The food itself is fine, but that is not the only thing a catering business must meet. I received very poor customer service on the phone when I had a comment/complaint. I had placed a note with my order as I wanted the sauce loose (often too spicy with everything). Unfortunately this was not done, it turned out not to have gone through properly. The young lady who just spoke to me on the phone interrupted me several times and finally cut me off and hung up. This was a very unpleasant experience.

Delicious bowls and nice staff!

I placed my order at 4:30 PM before 6:00 PM and it still hasn't arrived at 6:30 PM. Spoiled poorly on the phone and easily waved it away saying it was on its way. Make sure you have not scheduled any appointments if you order here, because this is the third time this has happened.

Ordered the bubble Tea twice. O.M.G what a rancid smell it emits! I think it might be the packaging or the tea itself whatever it is, fix it! Had to throw them both away like that 🤮

My usual poke place is closed on Sundays so I had to find another place to order from. After searching online all places seem subpar. Finally decided to order at Mano's but I was disappointed. The cucumber slices were quite big, the avocado was missing and the lettuce (I had lettuce and rice bed) was old and bad looking (and smelly!). There were four shrimps (I wouldn't have said anything if there were 5) and the extra tofu I ordered was supposed to be fried tofu but it is not your usual fried tofu, rather is regular tofu which they seem to have warmed up on oil. I also added courgette but that too was cut in very large pieces, difficult to eat. And please, for everything you deem worth fighting for in this life, do not order Mano's dressing, it is just some red spicy sauce I am sure I have tested before I just can't remember where, but it is not a good match for a poke bowl and it tastes very artificial. I wanted to write a better review but I just couldn't. Best of luck to everyone.

Ik haal altijd mijn pokebowl hier, echt de beste in Leiden. Krijg zelfs goede studenten korting hier. laatst besteld voor bezorging maar mijn bestelling was incompleet, gebeld en de ontbrekende ingrediënten werden direct gebracht. Goede service:)

Heerlijke eten, Ik werd goed geholpen door de aardige werknemers! 5 ster voor deze top plek.

Bestelling is áltijd veel te laat, hoe vroeg je ook besteld en je krijgt áltijd een belletje dat bepaalde ingrediënten op zijn... gedoe dus. Heel jammer want het eten is verder heerlijk.

De pokebowls zijn lekker maar bezorging duurt vaak lang. Gisteren zat ook een van mijn toppings helaas niet op de pokebowl. Verder wel altijd tevreden bij mano’s.

Large Poke bowl besteld, mango was kei en keihard (echt niet te eten). Kip was helemaal uit elkaar gevallen. Normaal tevreden maar dit was echt geen €16 waard…

Altijd prima poke bowls en je wordt snel geholpen. Het personeel wisselt. Meestal heel vriendelijk maar ik heb ook weleens chagrijn en ongeduld meegemaakt.

Het zou fijn zijn al jullie iets meer consistente kwaliteit kunnen leveren. het is te vaak een verrassing of het wel of geen goede poke is.

Erg onvriendelijk meisje achter de balie. Nog net niet "wat moet je?-" houding. Large besteld & betaald, medium gekregen. Ze hebben een goede samenstelling voor pokebowls, alleen daar houdt het op. Aangezien je nu dood gegooit wordt met "poke" tentjes, haal ik voortaan toch ergens anders.

The employees were really sweet and nice people, but the quality of the ingredients were not good. The vegetable tasted old and not fresh at all. The texture of the meat was also very off-putting as well...

Weggegooid geld. De poke bowls zijn oprecht lekker. Echter gaat het nu al 3x mis bij de bestelling. Eerst miste er ingrediënten en saus, vervolgens hadden we een large bowl besteld maar kregen we een medium en de laatste keer mistte het hoofdinfrediënt en hadden we dus (in ons geval) geen kip.

De avocado in de pokébowl was helaas hard/niet rijp... Heel jammer, want verder was het wel gewoon goed. De werknemers waren vriendelijk en het maken ging redelijk snel. Het eten scoort dus helaas wel laag.

We hebben ruim twee uur gewacht op ons eten. Gedurende het hele wachten waren ze niet bereikbaar voor bellen om een update. Het eten is opzich prima, maar bestel absoluut niet rond hoogtepunten (vr-zo rond 18u-20u), want dan krijg je je eten pas aan het einde van de avond.

Van de drie keer dat ik heb besteld waren alle drie de bezorgingen verkeerd. Van verkeerde drinken meegeven tot totaal verkeerde pokèbowls of vergeten zalm. Ook werd er niet bezorg op de afgesproken tijd via Thuisbezorgd. Toch wel de tweede ster gegeven omdat het eten opzich best lekker is, het verkeerd leveren van de bezorgingen is waar het probleem ligt.

Zat weinig zalm bij ondanks dat ik extra had besteld. Na een uur last van mijn maag gekregen. Avocado zag er ook niet echt vers uit de bubble tea was vrij smaakloos. Bezorging was wel optijd.

Ik haal hier graag een bowl als ik er langs kom. De kwaliteit wisselt wel, soms wordt ook een ingrediënt vergeten, maar het is prima voer voor als ik klaar ben met werk en het voelt relatief gezond :)

I had a medium vegan poke bowl. It was full of different fresh veggies and was delicious 😋 We sat on the swings, swaying away while enjoying the meal. While there are quite some seating places inside, I felt that people typically take away or order to deliver.

Heerlijk gegeten en ook nog eens gezond

Bezorging duurde ruim 1,5 uur. Vriendelijke bezorger wel. Meerdere poke bowls besteld. Je zou verwachten dat als je een Large poke bowl besteld er ook daadwerkelijk meer toppings op zitten dan bij een Medium maar helaas. Je betaald blijkbaar 3,50 meer voor extra rijst. Zie foto's. Waar de vinger zit tot daar zat de rijst. Er zaten hooguit 2 lepels zalm op de bowl. De bubble tea was goed van smaak. Echter waren de tapioca balls te kort gekookt waardoor het een grote klomp was en ze droog van binnen waren..

Ik kom hier nu al jaren, dus hoog tijd voor een review van mijn favoriete restaurant van Leiden. Al moet ik zeggen dat het meer take-away is dan een echt restaurant. Aan het eten ligt het in ieder geval niet, want dat is gewoon perfect. Ik ben nog nooit teleurgesteld, en ze hebben me regelmatig blij verrast als ik een keer iets nieuws op het menu probeerde. Nooit geweten dat rode kool en radijs goed samen gaan met gebakken tofu en een glas soja melk thee met aardbei/mango pearls, maar ik bestel het nu een aantal keer per week, en het verveelt nooit. Als er iets mis gaan bij een bezorging corrigeren ze het meteen. Dan staat er 30 minuten later een bezorger voor de deur om de juiste bestelling langs te brengen. Ik wens deze ondernemers verder heel veel succes met het uitbreiden van hun franchise. Dat gaat ook al aardig geloof ik. Ik reed laatst langs een Mano's in Amsterdam. Goed werk gasten.

Voor het eerst een smoothie bij Mano’s gehaald. Ik vroeg wat éen van de ingrediënten was en kreeg te horen dat het ‘allemaal in een zakje zat’, wat geen antwoord was op de vraag, en bij mij de indruk wekte dat de inhoud niet helemaal vers is. Voorts wordt eea geserveerd in een plastic beker met een plastic seal en een plastic rietje. Beetje jammer dat dit geen duurzamer keuzes zijn. Dit alles in combi met personeel dat meer met elkaar bezig was dan met de klant, maakt dat ik hier niet meer terug kom.
