Really odd that such a touristic area only has menus in dutch language. Staff just shredds the shoulders and does not help in any way. Food is average not good nor bad. Very poor experience.

My wife and I have been going there for many years. Coffee in the morning and lunch at 12 o'clock in the afternoon.

We visit this beach pavilion regularly and try to secure a spot outside on the terrace. You sometimes have to make an effort to do so. But once you are seated, you have a beautiful view of the sea and are protected from the wind by glass. The menu is reasonably extensive and very affordable for a beach facility. If you know the way, disabled people can park for free right behind the restaurant. The toilets are located on the ground floor, and wheelchair users are welcome both inside and outside. Have fun at the beach.

We used to go there often. Friendly service again this time, but really too few fries and absolutely too little sauce. We ordered one extra portion of fries for three to fill up our plates. That extra portion of fries for three was charged at the cash register as well. Everything gone, nothing left, sauce bowls scraped clean. A shame and a miss.

The fairest prices on this otherwise expensive promenade. Here, a beer costs around 6 euros. At neighboring restaurants, it's sometimes 13.50!

Everything was quite nice, but nothing remarkable. The German menu was terribly translated; the Dutch menu was much more helpful.

Great quality and friendly service. The food is always high quality. However, the next time was very disappointing; the trio fish platter was completely different. We thought we'd be served salmon, shrimp, and eel again for €18.50. But no, after waiting over an hour (it was busy), we finally got the platter. Three small, round, hard rolls with one wafer-thin piece of salmon, one with mashed tuna, and one with a mini shrimp croquette. They did come with salads. It's a shame they skimped on this. If it were a bit more expensive, I wouldn't mind. I enjoyed going there. But I'll ask what to expect first. Too bad. Next time I'll try the neighbors.

Best meatball I've ever had! Highly recommended. The flavor, texture, and sauce combined are truly delicious. And the service is also very friendly.

After a Sunday morning walk, I was the first one on the entire boulevard to have a piece of apple pie and coffee. Later, I switched to breakfast. A nice breakfast for a good price, with friendly staff, and also kind to my pet (dog), which I have with me.

I'm a fan of fried eggs. On January 21st, I had one of the best fried eggs, and for a great price. And a nice beer with it. Great service, too. I'll definitely be back. Good connection to the metro. Great place. -

Yesterday I enjoyed another delicious meatball (350 grams 😋) and a cappuccino. It was lovely to sit by one of the fireplaces. And what's also important these days... very reasonable prices and friendly staff!

Great place, easily accessible by metro. We were there on a Friday afternoon, and it was quiet. We were able to sit at a table with a gas fireplace and ordered a delicious lunch. Good food, incredibly cheap. In Amsterdam, you pay double that. Friendly service, everything was top-notch. We'll definitely be back.

Horrible. I ordered hot chocolate with whipped cream. This is what I get. When I mentioned it to the person who brought it, he asked if I'd come inside and tell the boss myself. It was quite extraordinary. Ultimately, the boss said that's just how the machine is set up. So, it wasn't real hot chocolate, but powdered chocolate in hot water, which is perhaps the least I understand about a "restaurant." I wonder what you get if you order it without whipped cream, haha.

Kom hier al jaren. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en hoe druk het ook is altijd snelle service en een vriendelijk praatje. Prijzen zijn schappelijk en de koffie en bier en wijn smaken perfect. Ook altijd een lekker koekje bij de koffie niet zo.n speculaas koekje in het plastic die je tegenwoordig overal krijgt. En hou je van een balletje gehakt dan ben je hier helemaal aan het juiste adres zijn namelijk formaat handbal en heerlijk. Liggen ook altijd een AD en een Telegraaf om te lezen. Heerlijke onvervalste Rotterdamse tent. Ga alsjeblieft niks wijzigen aan hetgeen jullie nu doen want het is perfect en dat vinden velen met mij want het zit altijd redelijk vol ook bij slecht weer. Mensen van de bediening en keuken xxxx

Great beach bar! We went for the first time and have good reasons to go back, which we will! The food was delicious, the meatball was delicious and large, the prices were reasonable, the beers were good and reasonably priced, the beach bar was clean, and the staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely interested! This will be our go-to place in Hoek van Holland, fantastic!

The ambiance may be simple, but the food is very good. They serve typical Dutch snacks at reasonable prices. The quality is very good; everything we ate was delicious and fresh. The service was also very friendly and attentive.

'Oma's bakkie' is verrukkelijk na een heerlijke wandeling over het strand. Eerst even de Ferry van de Stena Line naar Engeland zien vertrekken en dan nog even lekker neerstrijken bij Maribu! Daar word je heerlijk relaxed van!

The food was surprisingly good especially for the price. I went there with 2 other people and we all ate comfortably for 30 euros which is really good especially since the views of the ocean is gorgeous and the staff were also polite and fast. The only complaint I would have is the floor of the outdoor area is a bit messy but it’s understandable as it’s literally located on a beach. Would recommend for a beach day 👍

Really very personable and friendly staff. Conjures up a great breakfast that is really not expected. The ambience can still be improved, but everything else is already at a very good level. They really put a lot of effort into the guests here and that has to be rewarded. We will definitely come back and not just for breakfast before we leave for home. The morning opening times here are very well coordinated with the evacuation times for the holiday houses in Roompot Park. A visit is worth it. Were here on January 6th, 2025

A nice place with a great location on the beach, friendly for families with small children, but expensive, and as for the food - there's nothing great about it. We were there as a family on Saturday some time ago.

Soooo delicious! First take away, the fries were delicious and crispy even when cold. There again today, eating inside. Service top, incredibly nice! Food....., wow! Typically Bitterballen, Frikandel, Kas Soufle....., plus a Heineken....! Great, the prices are great too, some other bars on the beach are significantly more expensive! Absolute recommendation!!!!!

Een zeer schappelijk geprijsde strandtent waar je gedurende het gehele jaar welkom bent voor lunch of diner of een drankje. Dit maakt men waar. Ondanks de hete dag voor de tijd van het jaar was bediening prima en snel. Het bier koud en de saté met patat prima in orde!!

A really nice basic beach tent with very fast service and competitive prices for very nice products. And it may also be said that all the staff are really super friendly and correct. Everything is in tip-top condition, from coffee and snacks to meals. And there are always 1 or 2 newspapers that you can pick up to read. If only all beach bars were like this instead of... that fake hip stuff with bad service and high prices. They always have good music and a very loyal customer base and that says enough. Na een dagje aan het strand voor de 1e keer gegeten bij Maribu Beach op aanraden van een vriendin vanwege de zeer redelijke prijzen. Al snel werd mijn bestelling van kipsaté met friet gebracht door een vriendelijke & vlotte serveerster. Was een royale portie , lekker warm en heel lekker! Persoonlijk vond ik het vlees van de saté iets te peperig smaken maar verder was alles perfect. Ook de thee was lekker en voor een redelijke prijs. Zal hier zeker snel weer naar toe gaan!

heerlijk eten voor een.leuke prijs goede bediening, helemaal naar mn zin hier. terras en daarachter nog lekkere stoelen om vd zon te genieten, en natuurlijk kan je ook binnen zitten soort binnen/buiten zeg maar.

Nice friendly staff and delicious food

De koffie was lekker, maar de Cola werd geserveerd in een vies glas, er stond Coca Cola op de kaart maar het was geen Coca Cola, hier lopen we voortaan voorbij. Ook werd er Cola in een glas geschonken niet in een flesje geserveerd. Was best wel prijzig € 3,15 voor een glas vol met ijs en inferieure cola.

The food was ok, the ambience too. Really okay in terms of price. However, there are much nicer - but admittedly also more expensive - locations to the left and right of this.

A great affordable place to have a drink and eat. If they knead the great-looking ball of minced meat a little less firmly and, above all, put at least half as much breadcrumbs or bread in it (and season something else) then they would have a product that you would definitely come to see. So now only 3 stars, but who knows if they will improve it...

Friendly staff always come home

Appeltaart met slagroom en cappuccino besteld. Beide van slechte kwaliteit. Appeltaart lijkt ontdooid, is papperig. Cappuccino is een melkbak. Klein toefje slagroom erbij. Dit alles voor 17 euro. Daarbij slechte onvriendelijke bediening. Jammer, in het verleden was dit een fijne zaak.

On Saturday February 17, 2024 we went to Maribu Beach with our grandson where all three of us had a hot chocolate with whipped cream... That chocolate milk with whipped cream made us all quite ill and we know that because we didn't eat or drink anything afterwards... Apparently they no longer take hygiene very seriously at Maribu Beach... We paid Euro 14.40 (which is quite expensive) and it also makes you sick... We have been here before in the past, but things are deteriorating rapidly... We are done with it now and will no longer go there as we don't want to get sick from eating or drinking at Maribu Beach again...

Op Zaterdag 17-02-2024 zijn wij met ons kleinzoon bij Maribu Beach geweest waar we alle drie een warme Chocolademelk met slagroom hebben genomen... Van die Chocolademelk met slagroom zijn we allemaal behoorlijk ziek geworden en dat weten we omdat we daarna niks meer hebben gegeten en of gedronken... Schijnbaar nemen ze het bij Maribu Beach niet meer zo nauw met de hygiëne... We hebben 14,40 Euro betaald (dat is behoorlijk aan de prijs) en dan wordt je er nog ziek van ook... We zijn hier in het verleden wel vaker geweest maar het gaat zo wel hard achteruit... Wij zijn er nu wel klaar mee en gaan dan ook niet meer daar naartoe aangezien we niet weer van eten of drinken bij Maribu Beach ziek willen worden...

Delicious, nice staff and not expensive.

Pleasantly busy and delicious food for a reasonable price. And the dog was allowed inside. He appreciated that, just like the chicken nuggets. We especially liked the spring roll, the sauerkraut/sausage sandwich and the fries.

Always the right place for us to eat and drink at a reasonable price. Friendly staff. P.S. don't feed the flying birds. The Gluhwein is also excellent, cinnamon stick, star anise, cloves and orange slice, exactly as it should be, not often seen anymore.

Great affordable beach bar, I wonder if they are really home-made meatballs, I thought they were more of a factory meatball. Very pleasant waitress with humor and immediately came with a cookie for our dog.

Maribu offers a wonderful opportunity to unwind after a refreshing dog walk, as they allow dogs inside. The service is excellent, creating a cozy atmosphere. The food is good, and prices are reasonable. My second visit, and it's always a delightful experience.

Even on a busier evening we were helped quickly and politely. The food was excellent and the prices are a lot more reasonable than most other beach bars.

Lekker eten grote ballen gehakt

Heerlijk gegeten, voor een normale prijs. Top gehaktbal en kip sate. De bediening was snel en vriendelijk.👌 We gaan zeker terug komen. Precies wat wij lekker vinden.

Fantastic food, drinks and staff

Lekker zitten in het zonnetje op het terras, of bij minder weer lekker binnen eren en of drinken. Supervriendelijk bediening en de prijzen zijn in vergelijking met andere strandtenten prima! We zijn hier al vaker geweest en hopelijk nog wel meer!! Dus tot volgende keer!

Gezellig en goed eten... Lekker aan het strand

Als je wilt toekijken naar hoe de ander eet moet je hier zeker heengaan! Was hier met mijn vriendin, en wij bestelden 2 friet met een portie kipnuggets. De eerste portie friet en de kipnuggets werden na een minuut of 3 al bij de tafel gebracht. Het bord friet liet de gastheer/bediening half op tafel vallen waardoor de portie friet nog kleiner werd (en het was al niet genoeg om je maag mee te vullen). Het heeft ongeveer 20 minuten geduurd voor mijn vriendin haar friet kreeg, nadat zij hier echt 4 keer om heeft moeten vragen. Uiteindelijk dat de 2e portie gegeven werd, werd er door de bediening gezegd: "we hebben het druk, er zit een hele familie hier voor een verjaardag". Als je door een hele familie je andere gasten niet meer kan helpen moet je geen reserveringen met grote groepen aannemen. Daarbij komt ook nog, er kon achteraf ook geen sorry vanaf omdat mijn vriendin 20 minuten heeft moeten wachten. Kon ook geen drankje vanaf im het goed te maken, absurd... Echt belachelijk, ga hier nooit meer heen🙃

Geweldig gegeten voor de zoveelste keer, wij blijven terug komen, lekker en betaalbaar eten. Leuke bediening.

Met klein gezelschap (5) voor mijn 70e verjaardag (bij Maribu niet gemeld) heerlijk koffie met gebak waarna een superlunch genomen. Locatie, eten en drinken maar zeker ook bediening, fantastisch. Komen hier min of meer regelmatig en blijft goed. En belangrijk, voor leuke prijzen goed eten en drinken.

Vlotte en vriendelijke bediening, denkt snel mee om 7 personen aan 1 tafel te krijgen. Schnitzel wordt niet gebakken maar gefrituurd. Patates frites komt goed heet en knapperig aan.

Bier proeverij was erg lekker, veel verschillende soorten bier op erg goed.

Altijd super goed eten en gezellig

Ik kwam hier graag. Helaas mag je er als mindervalide niet meer afgezet worden met de auto. Mensen met copd kunnen doodvallen van sukkels die dit weer geregeld hebben. Normaal konden ze mij daar voor de deur afzetten en dan eventueel de auto op de parkeerplaats zetten. Jammer, heel erg jammer.

Ich wollte nur schnell etwas essen und habe mir dieses eher unscheinbare Lokal zwischen den noblereren Häusern ausgesucht. Und ich war sehr positiv überrascht: leckeres Essen, große Portionen und superfreundliches aufmerksames Personal. Hab mich hier gut aufgehoben gefühlt.
