Markerhuisje in Oostelijke Eilanden/Kadijken

Really too expensive for what you get. Absolutely not worth 34.50 for the high tea. Never had so little. See photo. Only had a cup of tomato soup beforehand. It is not recommended, we now read the many complaints about the high tea. Maybe they should have done something about this if they regularly receive complaints about it. We left feeling hungry, and that for that price!

Delicious dishes with matching wines! Really recommended if you want to dine well!

We came here for dinner and were blown away! Such a fantastic hidden gem in Amsterdam. The food (set menu) was on par with Michelin star restaurants but really quite reasonably priced. The atmosphere was cosy with lovely views over the water. Can’t recommend it enough

Came here randomly, but every dish we ordered was really delicious. The prices were quite affordable too, and the place has an aesthetic vibe. I highly recommend trying the flammkuchen — it’s so good!

The four of us enjoyed high tea. Super atmospheric location! Small but 'cute' close to the center of Amsterdam. We sat in the conservatory with a nice view over the water. Delicious tomato soup, sandwich and scones. Nice location where you can also have a good conversation because of the peace and quiet.

Genoten van een aangename hightea in een sfeervol ( kleinschalig) restaurant. Heerlijke soep en daarna broodje zalm, ook scones. Goed en smaakvol Voldoende thee in veel variaties. Redelijke prijs_ kwaliteit verhouding. De locatie is super sfeervol. Kleinschalig waardoor je in een relaxte sfeer kunt genieten en een gesprek kunt voeren. Zeker een bezoek waard!

Cozy little place for lunch, the food was fairly good, but the little house next to water is just sooo cute. Sadly we were not able to have the table next to the window, but I can imagine how nice it would be to sit next to the window and enjoy a cup of coffee and the (rare) sunshine!

We had breakfast here today and were totally surprised by this beautiful ambience by the water!! We had very good coffee and a fantastic lunch! Highly recommended! The owners are super friendly and we had a great time chatting to them about our trip! We'll definitely be back!! 100% recommendation!

Just had a high tea with a large group of 13 people, really extremely expensive for what we ate, the portions were really small. A small bowl of soup and only mini versions of sandwiches, quiche, scones... Only one per person! The service was also not really customer friendly. In short, I am really very disappointed and I just feel ripped off. I would never recommend this restaurant and I won't go back!

Leuke ongedwongen bediening in een zeer ontspannen sfeer. Fantastisch dat deze plek nog bestaat in Amsterdam. Daar moeten wij als Amsterdammers zuinig op zijn. We had dinner here to celebrate the anniversary of 3 colleagues. In addition to the fantastic location, the food was also top notch. The tables were also attractively decorated and the hostesses were fantastic on the evening itself. Highly recommended if you have something to celebrate with a slightly larger group, we were 22 people.

Never have high tea here. Savory sandwich, savory cake with blue cheese, a small scone, small square of carrot cake, very small pastel natal unheated and a macaroon, tea is not refilled, plates are not changed an hour beforehand, you get some soup with half a sandwich… eat it because the best part of the whole high tea is not going there !! Just bad in every way!

We aten voor het afscheid van een collega, prive met 16 man eerst gezellige borrel erna heel Lekker gegeten en genoeg ruimte tussen de gangen door voor praatjes en spel. Had er eerder met een groep vriendinnen geluncht wat ook al heerlijk was en nu dus opnieuw een hele fijne ervaring. Kan eigenlijk voor elk type diner met een groep. Het is chique en luxe genoeg voor zakelijk maar ook ongedwongen en heel gezellig voor meer persoonlijk diner. Wij kwamen aan met de boot wat helemaal bijdroeg aan de beleving. Hele aardige bedoening en dito kok. Deze mensen doen alles om Het je naar de zin te maken en laten je verder heel Fijn je feestje hebben!

A cultural hidden gem. Tucked away to the east of town center on a small island is a small home that houses a quaint kitchen serving about 10 tables. A variety of dishes from French Cassoulet to Alsatian Flammkuchen to Medovik guarantees you a warm and appetizing lunch/dinner. Not to say you will be dining next to the water with ground to ceiling windows. I wish i lived here to eat here more often.

Perfect ! We had a very good lunch with fresh produce and local specialties :) Very good communication with Pasqual and warm welcome. The room is cute and the little terrace in the sun is a real plus :)

Organicé nuestra cena anual de distribuidores internacionales y la combiné con mi jubilación de fin de año. Invitamos a 28 personas que se presentaron a las 19: 00 para bebidas y aperitivos. A los 20: 30 nos sentamos para una cena familiar que el chef Dennis había preparado. Teníamos 6 platos , quesos holandeses surtidos especiales seguido de un para morir para el desierto.

I organised our international dealers dinner party combined with my retirement party for 28 people. Chef Dennis prepared a family dinner which consisted of 6 main courses , selected dutch cheeses and a to die for dessert. The service was amazing. We enjoyed a very relaxing evening with fantastic food , lovely wines and great service. Definitely a location to consider when trying to organise something special .

This gem in the hidden and quiet part of Amsterdam enjoys a company of wonderful food and friendly service. One of the best cafés in the city, a true oasis for those who find themselves lost in the area and a worth going location for those who want to come here on purpose.

We visited het Markerhuisje for a high tea, I would highly recommend going! The location is so pretty, the food is delicious, altogether we had a really lovely experience. 🫖

This tiny cafe is excellent! We enjoyed every morsel of our meal, including bitterballen, flatbread (flammkuchen) both spinach and classic, cheesecake, and honey cake (medovnik). The tiny shop is gorgeous and friendly and comfortable. We came from Hawaii and found another paradise!

Very nice place on the water where we often meet with local residents. This creates a good atmosphere with the neighbors while enjoying a drink and a snack! Also a nice place to celebrate your birthday.

Great terrace food-pub on the water with a view over the Wittenburgervaart. This is one of the only restaurant or pub experiences on the inside of the entirely residential Oostelijke Eilanden neighborhood. On Nice days it is well used. The owners are really lovely and are doing their best to give the neighborhood something special, even maybe more than it deserves. This is an excellent spot to rent off for private parties. The steps going down to the water make a nice amphitheatre. Also a great place for taking away by boat, although you can't dock there

Very cute little restaurant with a very nice atmosphere and very good dishes, for very attractive prices! However, we were very disappointed with the service. There were a lot of locals in the restaurant which was very pleasant! and although the owners spoke English, we felt that as non-Dutch people we were treated differently (very responsive in clearing other tables, refilling etc. whereas we were not at all). Maybe it was just not a good day for them, in any case I preferred to mention it for future travelers. Edit: the owners kindly sent us a message explaining that indeed they were in a rush but that in no case did they want to make us feel like that and invited us to come back for a drink.

Had a high tea with a group of 11. We had high expectations based on the reviews, but unfortunately it was a bit disappointing. Because we were with a larger group, we were given a table in the basement. The table was beautifully set with crockery and flowers. We only chose 't Markerhuisje for its nice location. We didn't get much of this in the basement, because we couldn't look outside... too bad... The food was tasty, but sparse. Enough soup, but 1 filled mini roll, 1 small piece of quiche and 1 small scone. The sweet round was 1 pastel de nata and a few macarons/chocolates that weren't very special. We were looking forward to it, but we were still disappointed!

Had a meal with a group (private dining) before and after one of the candlelight concerts in the Maritime Museum. Delicious food in a very nice atmosphere. After the starter and main course we visited one of the concerts and returned after the concert for dessert and coffee. Contact was excellent. Recommended.

De communicatie voor het reserveren verliep heel goed via Pasqual en op de avond zelf werden we heel hartelijk ontvangen door Nicole en Joyce. We gingen met een groep van 18, waar we privé dineerden en de hele ruimte voor onszelf hadden. Iedereen was verrast over hoe leuk het er van buiten uitzag en hoe warm het binnen was ingericht. We hebben een ontzettend gezellige avond gehad en heerlijk gegeten (met prive kok Mike). Absoluut een aanrader!

De los mejores lugares de Amsterdam para estar unas horas. Su terraza, en los atardeceres de verano mirando al canal es muy interesante, con las escaleras que bajan hasta el agua y un entorno relajado. El interior, con algunas mesas de estilo cafe de toda la vida o si hace buen tiempo, en el exterior. Tomar su buen cafe, algún trozo de tarta para acompañar es un buen plan. Para almorzar combinar una sopa del dia con algún plato de la carta és éxito asegurado. La atmosfera que sus dueños crean y el ambiente agradable lo hacen muy recomendable. No está en el centro, lo que lo hace aún mas interesante. Está en una de las zonas de la ciudad, que una vez superado la tendencia de tener el centro como referencia, és de las mas interesantes.

Heerlijk op t terras aan t water gezeten. Lekkere koffie en rosé. De veganisme flammkuchen is een aanrader. Personeel is echt aardig!

"De verborgen parel op Wittenburgereiland" Het is inderdaad een prachtige plek om te lunchen of te eten, prima prijs kwaliteit verhouding en top gastheer/dame. Een aanrader!

Markerhuisje was the highlight of our company's event in Amsterdam. From planning to execution that evening, Pasqual and Nicole along with their entire team were fantastic! Our attendees loved the cute atmosphere and the amazing food! I would recommend Markerhuisje to anyone planning to host a small private dinner in Amsterdam!

Ter gelegenheid van een huwelijksfeest hebben we met achttien personen een topavond gehad op deze sfeervolle locatie! We begonnen met een welkomstdrankje in de zon met heerlijke hapjes. Het drie-gangen diner dat daarop volgde was verrukkelijk, de bediening top en de voorbereiding en uitvoering helemaal volgens plan. Een dikke aanrader voor een speciale gelegenheid!

Parfait !! On été à la Makerhuisje pour une evjf, c'était parfait ! On a eu droit à une super table bien décorée, une chouette formule qui a ravie tout le monde, un service au petit soin et surtout une magnifique vue sur l'eau 🌺 On reviendra sans hésiter !!

Mijn vrouw en ik hebben hier ons huwelijk gevierd met een late lunch. Het was een fantastische middag! Wij waren met een groep van 25 gasten. De mensen waren naast Flexibel en professioneel ook lief, kortom een ideale plek om met een groep te eten. PS Wij hebben hier ook een keertje gedineerd wat ook een aanrader is!

Me and my friend took the two flammekuchen (one with salmon, one with bacon). I totally recommend to take the one with salmon cause it was a pleasure for the mouth (and the belly!). Super tasty 5/5. The view from the little terrace is super nice on the canal; the neighbourhood is not really pretty or suggestive though and it's slightly outside of the main area of A'Dam.

Het was een gezellige avond. We hadden het afgehuurd want dat kon. Hebben we als familie erg genoten. Een leuke 3 gangen menu wat lekker was. Je kon je wensen doorgeven. Daarnaast hebben we nog gezellig gezongen met karaoke 🎤 liedjes.

Wat een pareltje het huisje en een prettige en vriendelijke bediening. Het eten van Annemarie was zoals altijd smaakvol en goed, maar ik ben iets minder gecharmeerd van vegetarisch.

A little gem away from the well trodden paths of Amsterdam. We had a great lunch.

Das Markerhusje lag in der Nähe unserer Hausbootunterkunft. So war unser täglicher Weg zum Frühstück nur 5min entfernt. Obwohl wir immer morgentlich zum Aufbau kamen, waren die Gastgeber sehr freundlich und bereiteten uns einen sehr leckeren Latte Macchiato. Auch die Broodjes sind sehr zu empfehlen und ein guter Start in den Tag!

Tolles Café mit mega leckerem Kaffee + Kuchen+ Flammkuchen. Nur 5 min vom Schepvaartsmuseum liegt dieses originale Häusschen aus Marken, direkt am Wasser. Perfekt zum relaxen abseits der Menschenmassen. Superfreundliche Bedienung. Jeder Wunsch wird einem dort erfüllt. Tolle Sicht auf‘s Wasser. Werden dort bald auch unseren Geburtstag feiern. Auch ganz in der Nähe vom Amsterdammer Zoo. Geheimtipp.

Ein sehr schön eingerichteter Ort mit extrem netten und sympathischen Gastgebern. Konnten einen wunderbaren Nachmittag direkt am Wasser verbringen.
