Just a good place with friendly waitresses and good food. It doesn't take too long either, but sometimes I get the feeling (if you order a lot in a row) that not everything gets brought to the table. Especially the expensive sushi. All in all, very satisfied.

Great food at a reasonable price; nice and quiet in the afternoon. Unfortunately, a few options were unavailable for lunch. The quality was fine, but personally, I would prefer a slightly more extensive selection.

The food is fantastic; I come here often and it has never disappointed. A few young ladies and gentlemen work there. A few of them are very friendly and you can have a laugh with them, unlike the rest. Sometimes it seems as if they have absolutely no desire to be where they are or do what they are doing. This is the place to be for good food, but if you want a cozy evening dining, not so much. It lacks some atmosphere and coziness.

Very good food, but unfortunately very impersonal. As a result, the atmosphere is no longer like it used to be. A real shame.

We've been going here and before the name change (Zuma) since 2015 and still love eating here. Quality dropped a bit since the last time we went, but the variety with regards to the side dishes makes us happy. Would happily go again.

As a picky eater and diffrent from regular people I must say this place handled it very well. I felt welcome when I came in the , place looks very nice and the staff is attentive. What caught me most by surprise is how authentic the food is. They beat my expectations every round I ordered. I have been to many all you can eat places but I never thought this would be by my personal standards the best all youbcan eat asian restaurant! Definitely recommended.

Always a lovely, relaxed meal here, with no hassle about the time. They sometimes have shifts during holidays, but that's okay.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant in the area so far. There's so much to choose from, and everything is deliciously fresh. Everything tastes delicious. I've eaten here several times in the evening, and it's never disappointed. The sushi is served quickly and always looks beautiful. The hot dishes are also very tasty. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy, and the staff is friendly. We always leave here with a stomach ache in the evening because we enjoy it so much that we don't want to stop eating. We love coming here and will definitely be back. Highly recommended if you love sushi!

We was there 1st time. Want to just try something new. About food. Ok it's different cultures and style of food, not like Europeans. For me personally about that I order, and how much I order, it was ok. But Be aware... First of all, you need to make order thru your mobile phone while you are in front of table, so make sure it's charged.. 😂 no waitress... When I ask, how it works, the stuff member explain, we can order 5 plates per person, and start asking about drinks. All we heard was 5 plates, and drinks is not included in price... In phone app, in the end I see, there is 5 times to do that... But we did not understand, next round is included in price or we need to pay about every round separate. No-one didn't explain that as well... Even in fact 2 times I told to "waitress" we are first time here and I'm not sure I understood everything correct.. all she answered me. Yeah yeah everything is correct and left... So yeah, we spent 1 round instead of 5 and payed about all 5. For 5 rounds it's ok, 223euros per 6 persons, but for one to make full price... The stuff member, saw all our order, before I pay, but totally silence... No information that we can still order something about that price included... Was confused about it. Everything was delicious, and salmon as in starter as well... But we did not run, with that... When we ask, can we get that, in small package to take it home... The salmon from our table, waitress said it's not possible because it's starter and u did not order that, and ask can he take the plate away... Of course we accept that, because of being confused... But in the end... Why, you are taking away plate, if there is still, almost untouched food, and we are not about to leave? Is not be correct doing that after client leave? I can't understand. Attitude was like... Quick, just pay and leave... A bit disappointing, but ok guys have a good health and think about the way to explain customers about your specific rules. AND DON'T TOUCH PLATE WITH FOOD ON IT, TO MAKE AS THINK, YOU ARE WAITING FOR US TO LEAVE. Have a great evening. For future clients, hopefully you see the message, will understand rules before even go there.. other wise, they will not spending time to explain how it works. We saw colorful pictures, good menu. I really didn't scroll till the end, to see what we will dealing with. No need to do that before going to restaurant. If you guys want to enjoy great Chinese food, great atmosphere, lovely stuff, where you will feel like home, go to Woo Ping. It's not far, but attitude, vibe and emotions what you will get... It's like day and night.

Horribly deteriorated, waited 45 minutes per round…

The most disappointing poke bowl I've ever eaten. A huge bowl of dry rice with minimal filling, and no sauce. It was so bland I just couldn't finish it. Such a shame, never again.

I can't comment on the food, but asking two children for one euro each to use the toilet...that's a bit much. I don't understand why anyone would want to make money with that as an entrepreneur. But even as a human being, I find it incomprehensible.

We had a super delicious lunch today! The fish was very fresh, the staff was friendly, and the food and drinks arrived quickly. We will definitely be back!

Delicious unlimited sushi. Wide selection, fast service, easy ordering through the app, and it's delivered to your table super fast. A fun, delicious Asian experience and a nice variety of restaurants in Schiedam.

A great all-you-can-eat sushi concept. You order via your phone using a QR code on the receipt. The menu isn't extensive, but what's on it is excellent. No special dishes, just fairly standard sushi and side dishes. The price-quality ratio is excellent. The service is also just okay. The tables in this restaurant are really close together, a bit too close in our opinion. Definitely worth a second visit.

I love this place. First of all, it's really close to my house, which is nice. Secondly, whenever I eat there, it's always delicious. Sometimes I order delivery from there, and usually it's a poke bowl. Those poke bowls are amazing; they're so good, even though you can tell the chef is someone else all the time. Sometimes you get tons of sauce, and other days you get almost none, but it's still super delicious.

Pleasant atmosphere, nicely decorated. The noise from visitors is kept low and respectful. The lighting creates a peaceful atmosphere. The decor is well-designed. It's also nice that there are real fish swimming in the pond next door. Service is well-paced, and you can always ask questions. The staff is friendly and respectful. The menu is clear and extensive. Prices are good, not too high. Ordering is very easy. I do have to say, though, that occasionally an item is forgotten. The restroom is clean. Parking nearby is a bit difficult. However, the restaurant is located on a good, busy road.

Absolutely terrible, rude staff

Best sushi restaurant in the Netherlands. Been going there for years! Busy yet peaceful atmosphere. Beautiful interior. Lovely, relaxed staff. Definitely recommended if you're sensitive to stimuli. Small tip: ordering online is annoying. I'd prefer not to have phones on the table while eating. The paper version worked perfectly. If only we could go back to that. It's probably cheaper for you than paying for a digital system.

Delicious food and friendly service! Only minor quibbles regarding the ordering process. As with many sushi restaurants, this is done via a QR code and website. Unfortunately, there's no allergen list, and online ordering is a bit awkward. It turns out that comments you can provide when ordering aren't being passed on to the kitchen, and this isn't mentioned anywhere. As a result, we received our food with sauce instead of coffee, and a regular coffee instead of decaf. Very minor quibbles, but that's why we missed out on a fifth star.

So unfriendly. Mazu is open until 10:00 PM. At 9:30 PM we felt like we were being sent away. The owner kept coming to our table to ask if he could take the plates of food with him. We said no and a little later he came back to do the same thing. He did this three times in total. I'm sorry that you can't relax there and end your evening on a nice note.

I have eaten here before in the past, but recently on February 13, 2025 it was not pleasant there on a weekday. I just couldn't sleep, which prompted me to give a bad review. Here it comes...Short little Chinese lady in her 50s who wore normal everyday clothes compared to the rest of the staff, came with the wrong order and acted unfriendly afterwards too. Mean, I can't help it if you heard it wrong. I'd say get those sushis out of your ears hahaha. Menu offers very few options compared to the well-known sushi places. For example, there are no fried sushis available. And I have eaten some sushi in my life, but the regular sushi was really not tasty!! The flambéed salmon did not look good and was not tasty. All hot dishes were lukewarm to cold apart from what was fried. Lamb chops were too sweet and very tough and the fruit bowl was very sparse and no variety at all. All this for an all you can eat and for the price you pay you can expect some quality. Not so! I will choose a different tent next time, it was the last time for me!

The service is very rude and what you see on the menu does not match what you get at all. Not worth the effort and price.

Sunday afternoon... visiting grandma in the nursing home... we (the granddaughters and great-grandchild) decide to go out with grandma and have something to eat, great-grandchild wants sushi so we choose to eat at Mazu's. Reserved for 4 people, upon arrival we ask if grandma can eat for the child rate of 8-11 years € 24.50. She just eats very little but this is absolutely rejected. It's really not that we are extremely big eaters and want to fool them, no, we really don't understand and it's really not an option. I should have just discussed it on the phone when making the reservation, okay, that's different now than it was an hour ago...? A bit of a shame, but then we order some food, sushi arrives quickly, the grill takes a long time and some dishes don't arrive at all. You also get the comment when you inquire, but it hasn't arrived yet... so. Grandma ate exactly 1 shrimp skewer and 1 tablespoon of nasi, 1 spring roll, 1 sushi and a scoop of ice cream. A glass of water for her medication was also not allowed, so she ordered a bottle of water. At checkout you are not asked how it was, just pay and go. I won't be coming back anymore... I don't think the owner would worry about that either.

The interior of the store could use some renovation, it is unhygienic with all that tape on the benches.

The better/best sushi place in Rotterdam/Schiedam

Had dinner here yesterday with the two of us. The sushi was tasty, but the hot dishes were disappointing. We finished eating around 8:00 PM, but towards midnight we both started having complaints. I suspect it is due to the meat dishes. I developed fever, vomiting and severe watery diarrhea in the middle of the night, probably because I ate a lot of meat dishes. My friend, who ate much less meat dishes, only had diarrhea and nausea. This makes me concerned about the hygiene in this restaurant.

Het was erg gezellig en lekker. Alleen jammer dat we werden aangesproken op het "overlaten" van eten. Dit ging om 1 bordje komkommer en 1 stukje sushi. Op een rekening van 152 euro met zn 3en zou ik nog 3 euro extra moeten betalen. Dit hoefde uiteindelijk niet maar voor ons was dit best een smetje op de avond terwijl wij hier vaker komen. Echt jammer.

Here they have the best teriyaki chicken. Soft chicken with a sauce. I had some nasi with it. Really very tasty!!! They also have sushi and pokebowl. Everything tastes good.

We sat at a very dark table with little foot space for both of us. The staff was fast but not exactly friendly. Plates and glasses were often put down or taken away without communication or even a smile. Furthermore, the food was very tasty! We enjoyed that. Not all orders went smoothly, so I didn't get some rolls. In terms of decor/atmosphere I thought it was very mediocre. As mentioned before, it is quite dark. Next to the entrance they have a 'pond' with three(?) fish. How terribly sad those animals look; very shallow water, full of ornaments and fake plants, giving them little space to swim. So not optimal. Overall experience was fine.

Eten is lekker, maar bediening is slecht. Heel lang op de eerste ronde moeten wachten. Bleek een fout gemaakt te zijn. Nauwelijks excuus. Erna diverse keren dingen vergeten te brengen. De QR code waarmee je moet bestellen geeft een erg gebruiksonvriendelijk menu. Twee jaar geleden was het allemaal top geregeld, maar nu een zooitje. Personeel heeft op een enkele na totaal geen gezellige uitstraling!

There was nothing wrong with the food, they just put what was ordered on the table and you had to find out who it was for... that seemed very strange!

The sushi and food were delicious, there was a strange smell of oil in the food fried in oil, the waiters were polite, the one who was looking at the cash register was a real arrogant g,,,,,t, will I go again? I won't go, there is no need to pay money and get angry.

A cozy restaurant, where you can enjoy all kinds of small snacks at your leisure. Suitable for children and groups. The appearance is calm, muted, oriental and softly lit. This late-evening appearance has been extended to the entire restaurant, including the halls and toilet facilities. The layout is efficient, the tables are neatly arranged in rows and lanes. Yet you experience a lot of privacy. Everything here is on one level. There is enough staff so that you do not experience a break between the various rounds. It is an all you can eat concept. Not quite, for 2 hours you can make five orders, called rounds. So per round you order multiple dishes for several people. This is more than sufficient for 2 of us. While it used to be lists that went to the kitchen, now you order by mobile phone. You will receive a personal page on your mobile phone, provided via a QR code, with your time, your round, and orders per round. Each couple has their own mobile phone, the same page, so 2 rounds per 'order'. 🤨. You just have to know. You will also receive a menu with more than 90 small dishes. This card makes ordering a lot easier. Vegetarian, meat, fish, there is a varied choice. All you can order; but what you don't eat will be on the bill, this way 'waste' is prevented. When you leave, you pass the cash register, your QR code is your table number. Paid parking is available in front of the door. That is, if there is room. There are several places behind the flat, where you have a better chance. Unfortunately, parking spaces are scarce in this area. A bus stops in front of the door, schedule unknown. We enjoyed ourselves there, had good conversations, had fun ordering, and in the meantime; what is this dish and who had chosen this again?

Had a nice evening out for dinner at Mazu. The atmosphere is cozy with nice atmospheric lighting and a small koi pond. The food is delivered via a QR code to the telephone. After ordering, the food is quickly brought to the table. Afterwards you can have a dessert. Drinks are not included in the price. It was a successful evening for us. We will definitely come here again.

Standard all-you-can-eat. We had to ask how to order. This turned out to be possible with a QR code and via your own telephone. Map was not conveniently laid out. Food anything but special. This was the second time we ate there. In our opinion it was really better last time. It was also quite expensive at 33.50 per person. Not worth repeating anymore.

Mazu in Schiedam op de Gravenlandse weg 614 is een zogenaamd "All you can eat" sushi restaurant. Netjes strak en modern ingericht. Personeel snel een hardwerkend. Zoals in zoveel van dit type restaurants krijge een (nu inmiddels) digitale kaart. Je scant een QR code (zorg dat je mobiel is opgeladen) en komt op een site waar je je bestelling plaatst. Tussen de verschillende rondes zit 15 minuten. Je drankjes is slimmer apart te bestellen of met een ronde mee, ander moet je weer 15 minuten wachten.Voor het overzicht is er een papieren menukaart. Net wat makkelijker overzicht. Flinke keus (zoals je vaker in dit soort gelegenheden hebt), van verschillende "sushi" gerechten en Aziatische klassiekers. Ook als niet vis en/of sushi liefhebber is er voldoende keus. Kwaliteit is ruim voldoende gezien de prijs. Verwacht geen top sushi, want dat kan ket voor deze prijzen. Lees en hoor in mijn omgeving wel eens de vergelijking met Hamachi. Tja dat is een oneerlijke vergelijking. De laatste is minimaal 2x zo duur en je krijgt 40% van wat je hier bij Mazu eet. Dat is niet eens appels met peren vergelijken, maar appels met een druif vergelijken. De diverse gerechten zijn voldoende goed van smaak. Het staat snel op je tafel en Personeel is vriendelijk., accuraat en snel. De prijs ten opzichte van de geleverde prestatie is ruim voldoende. Prima avondje gehad. .Zoals

The food is certainly not bad, but there are similar restaurants that are slightly better. The restaurant was cozy and all tables were occupied. Reservations are therefore recommended. We just had fun with a number of colleagues.

Met 6 collega's op 1 april gegeten bij Mazu. Het eten was redelijk voor de prijs. Wat enorm tegenviel was het niet leveren van de bestelde gerechten. Bij het aangeven hiervan bij de serveerster het antwoord dat ze dit even zou navragen. Maar dan alsnog geen levering. Ook het bestellen via een eigen telefoon voor een hele groep valt niet mee. Ik zou deze zaak afraden en naar een sushi restaurant in de omgeving gaan. Voor mij nooit meer Mazu.

The sushi is tasty, fast service (maybe a little too fast). I was even asked if I wanted to grab the last piece of sushi so he could clear the table... or take away plates while you were still eating. The toilets were really dirty!
