McDonald's in Wijk 01 Oud Gastel

Unfortunately, my experience at the McDrive wasn't very good. A farce for the second time. Last night we were standing in line to place an order; we ended up waiting for almost 10 minutes, and to my great surprise, I noticed that at the other ordering station, "already" 4 cars had been served by then. Eventually, I just reversed and drove to the other station, and there I was served after another 5 minutes. At window 1, no apology or anything; simply bizarre. The cameras definitely saw me, but there was just no response. From now on, I'll drive somewhere else; third time's the charm for me.

The food was lukewarm and the toilets were really filthy.

Totally rubbish!! Stood at the drive-thru for half an hour, but the order just wasn't taken. Eventually drove on without food, because after a long journey you just want a quick bite and head home… Terrible place!

It's doable in itself, but everything could be better!

I tried the new Quarter Pounder Maple BBQ. It was really tasty, but the fries I ordered weren't included with the menu. Unfortunately, I only found out about that later.

Typical McDonald's.... lukewarm food and not really much flavor. The ice cream is good. The price is steep...

The food was fine! The order was correct (including the no pickles, no ice cream, etc.), but unfortunately all the tables were dirty, so instead of eating inside, we ended up eating in the car. (I understand that a bit better when it's busy, but when only 2 or 3 tables are occupied, absolutely not.) Next time we'll definitely get our food inside here again ☺️.

One of the best in my opinion, and they serve it quickly and fresh.

I was just here, and when I walked in it really just smelled like sewage! 🤢 It took fifteen minutes to get my order even though it was a very simple one. There was no sauce with the McFlurry, the chicken nugget was burnt and soggy, there was no ice in the cola, and while 5 guys were standing there “working” (they weren't doing anything), it took a really, really long time. The manager was the only normal person working here.

Just been there again and regret it already. Once again, a Big Tasty is missing. Worthless branch. The order is never right once you're back home. The staff are more concerned with having fun amongst themselves than delivering the correct order. The umpteenth time an order is wrong. Entire burgers missing... how is it possible that a chain like this still can't just deliver what you order? Then you have to fill out a complaint form. After that, you get a voucher for the burger you should have actually already finished. 🤣😂 What a joke.

We went here to eat; ordering was difficult, we felt misunderstood, and we had to wait a long time before the employee understood us. Which is unfortunate. Later, after a long and tedious wait, we were able to pay. We paid and were told to drive on. Then we didn't get our food right away, but only the apples and a milkshake that wasn't really full. We were then told to drive on. We thought: oh, it will surely arrive soon (since there are many employees and it is called fast food for a reason). The wait was longer than we had expected (it wasn't busy, after all). After waiting for a long time, we received our food. The food wasn't disappointing; it was quite tasty. This was my review of McDonald's.

I think the dirtiest McDonald's in the Netherlands! Been here multiple times and it's always dirty! Always a challenge to find a clean table or an empty trash can. Yuck. I don't want to know how dirty the kitchen is…

It smelled like a toilet, so I quickly left the place.

Friday evening, August 21, 2026, at 11:00 PM, we stopped by the McDrive after a long drive back from France. You are greeted by an employee speaking broken Dutch. After payment, you are greeted by an employee at the second window who was clearly under the influence. We had a simple order and there was no one else in line. Nevertheless, we were directed to a waiting parking spot. There, the confused employee came over again to ask what we had ordered; unbelievable. After waiting for a while, we received our order, but two items were missing. After inquiring about them and receiving them, we opened everything at home, and it was shocking. So poorly put together, flattened; totally not what you should expect at a McDonald's. It wasn't due to the crowds, but to uninterested staff; what terrible management there, and what a mess with the trash. Highly discouraged. 1 star because it can't be lower.

An almost empty place and then having to wait another 25 minutes.. the soft drinks had too little fizz in all the drinks!

Great Mac. Too bad for me that there was a dog (not a service dog) inside. I had to change seats (allergy). I thought it wasn't allowed, only on the terrace. Toilets 5 stars...that's not always the case at others.

Everything is very slow, the employees are in no hurry, even though it's a fast food chain 😡 We rarely come here, and each time we go, the desire to go disappears more and more.

THERE WAS NO ICE IN THE cola!!!

I am never coming here again. At first, I thought it was an asylum seeker center. I didn't see a single white Dutch person inside. I had to explain what I wanted 10 times, eventually just in English. After having to wait at the counter for 13 minutes, the Big Mac was from a distance. I threw the box; the fries and the Big Mac were cold. The cola, though, was warm and without ice. One asylum seeker (employee) inside was picking his nose. I had ordered fries and sauce twice but unfortunately received nothing. In short, I immediately threw everything in the trash. What filthy, disgusting employees there! I am never ever coming here again, yuck yuck 🤢🤢🤢 and I am also going to report them to the Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority because this really cannot continue like this.

Giving out sandwiches without the meat? People who don't speak Dutch. It is literally super dirty, not a clean table anywhere! Man oh man, it's going from bad to worse. Waited 35+ minutes for food. Line of 7+ people with the same problem, too bad. This. Mass production equals big profits. No quality.

The atmosphere is standard, but it's nice that the music isn't ear-splittingly loud. There were no table numbers left at the self-service ordering kiosks. When I asked if he could restock them, he looked at me as if I'd seen water burning. So it wasn't done either 🤨 I still have to wait for the food; I hadn't received it yet when I wrote this.

Today, five of us tried to have lunch here during our break. Unfortunately, after 25 minutes, we had to go and ask ourselves where our order was. We were then told by one of the managers (in a white shirt) that they were getting to work on it immediately. Afterward, an employee came to the table to ask for the receipt, because they supposedly hadn't received the order. He did have a receipt in his hand with our order number on it. We then asked for a refund, as the break was over by then. No apologies, no response, just some blank staring. We received the refund in cash and just ate a bag of chips at the office for lunch. A response like "hello, we didn't receive the order" doesn't count as a solution to me, because no one knows what will happen next. Preparing everything anyway takes at least 10 minutes, and then we actually want to eat everything, for which there is no time left. Tables not clean and everything is quite sticky, so I've really had enough of this McDonald's by now.

It was really worse. The store looks good, but the stuff isn't interested on they customer. They marked the food as ready and collected for the statistics, but we wait over 20 minutes for a normal meal. The car was fully charged as we came back... My drink wasn't like ordered but we didn't want to wait again that long. Next time we want to read the ratings before we go inside a Mc Donald's.

On Friday at 12:30, I went with a friend to the McDonald's at the Meg Drive in Oud Gastel to order food. There was no shake or two Cokes included with the meal. I called the employee over and said that there were no drinks, whereupon she yelled at me: "Come, come, come over to me!" She had no manners. She was rude, angry, and not polite at all. She didn't even apologize. It was a disgrace. I have to walk to her from the parking lot twice because she forgot the second Coke. No apologies!!

The times I go there, I have never had an order that is correct. Tonight was no exception. A Happy Meal and a Quarter Pounder Double. When you get home, there is a single burger inside. It is just sad that you have to check your order in the parking lot. The box looks correct, but in the end, there is something completely different inside... Every time I think that to myself, but by now I am fed up with it because nothing changes. 1 star is actually still too much for something so simple.

It took a very long time before the order was taken at the intercom. It also took a long time before the order was handed over. Poor service.

I ordered 3 Big Macs and they only put one patty in each of them. I had them packaged to take away, it's ridiculous! Where have you ever seen a Big Mac with only one patty? And if you go to the restaurant, they never provide napkins.

I have had to wait more than 15 minutes for a McFlurry several times already. The ice cream was already melted by the time we received it. This McDonald's is a contender for the slowest McDonald's in the Netherlands.

Customer focus here is extremely disappointing. Friendliness leaves much to be desired. Moreover, they are not very fast.

I thought I'd get a real milkshake again. Unfortunately, the weight in the cup is minimal because there is foam in the milkshake, so where did that delicious, thick milkshake go? It's actually scandalous; they sell foam-like air as a milkshake. A huge disappointment on a warm evening. And then that straw; you suck like crap, but barely anything comes out.

The new burger was great. The drink was gross.

For a McDonald's, this location was better than I am used to. The restaurant had a clean appearance, the outdoor terrace was tidy, and there was virtually no litter in the parking lot despite it being quite busy. The toilets were also fine and clean.

Eating takes a long time. Staff are slow, forget half of your order, and as soon as you go back it takes even longer. Staff circle around the tables where people are eating.

After a nice holiday and having driven nearly 1000 km, we thought we'd grab a tasty burger at McDonald's in Oud-Gastel before the final stretch towards 010. I have never in my life seen such a FILTHY and RAGGED PAUPER McDonald's. Too disgusting for words 🤢! Everywhere was one big filthy mess….overcrowded filthy tables, fries smeared all over the floor, bulging trash cans, missing numbered order plates, cheddar smeared all over the table, clumps of lettuce on the chairs, mirror-smooth greasy floors and OF COURSE cold fries. These days it is a rarity in itself if you find a McDonald's that actually serves hot fries. Luckily I didn't have my phone with me in the restroom….otherwise I would have captured that brown beam lying half in the bowl and half on the seat as well. I understand that the ‘restaurant guests’ need to be educated too, but as a franchise owner of a place like that, I would be utterly ashamed. The staff walked past that bunch up to six times and didn't even look up. For me, this was the last straw and immediately the very last McDonald's visit ever. ‘Thanks’ McDonald’s Oud-Gastel….good luck with your downfall….! One star because I did get 2 straws.

Bizarrely bad service. Stood and waited for fifteen minutes in the drive-thru at the left pole while orders were being taken non-stop at the right pole. Never had such bad service at this McDonald's.

The McFlurry was disappointing today; a few Maltesers draped over it and that was it, on the outside just a lot of ice cream without any flavor.

Dirty waiting for an order over 30 minutes is standard

The worst place I have ever been... We had to wait nearly 20 minutes for three ice creams. The girl in the white shirt sent us away in the car this evening to wait, but she had forgotten our order. I eventually had to knock on the glass door, where a young woman was fortunately willing to help me. She was much more efficient than that girl, who looked completely lost.

There were 2 customers and it took as long as it seemed overcrowded.

I received the wrong sauce with my order; instead of exchanging it for the right one, she made a fuss about me not having a receipt, even though I showed her a torn receipt that wasn't printed correctly by the machine. By the way, she wasn't really polite either.

I noticed that the table service works well. The order was delivered directly to the right table; at other branches, they very often have to search around.

The order was incorrect, but when you take the food away, it is difficult to rectify. The quality is naturally not what you "see in the picture" and what you hope for... but then again, that isn't specific to this branch, of course.

We received our order very quickly; it was made immediately and was therefore fresh and nice and hot.

Just like every McDonald's, do not expect high expectations.

The food was fine, they just forgot the fries, so I paid 35 euros for just chicken nuggets, burgers, and a drink—worthless.

McDonald's is a great place for a quick and tasty meal. Restaurants are usually clean, well-organized, and comfortable. The menu is diverse, so everyone can find something they like. Long opening hours and the option to order via app are also a big plus. It's a good place for both a quick meal and a meeting with friends.

Unfortunately, the staff here isn't very efficient; they are busier hanging on the counter and chatting with each other than with the restaurant and, especially, keeping the toilets neat and clean. Trash cans are overflowing 9 out of 10 times, tables inside are often sticky (I always bring wet wipes myself so I clean the table myself), and I would rather hold my needs until I get home than use the toilet there. This really needs to improve! Because it is actually always quiet when we are there, and there is enough staff to keep up with it all. However, they do speak to you politely, and you get good help with questions or anything like that. The food is fine and is always brought to the table quickly and hot (we are always early, so before the rush). They also have a mccaffe with all kinds of tasty ingredients. The outdoor playground and seating are fine. When it is very sunny, there are also plenty of parasols to sit in the shade.

I've never had such a dry McChicken.

We wanted to order 10 hamburgers (2 each) for 5 people at the Drive-Thru, but they refused to serve us. We then went back through the Drive-Thru, but were threatened with security. Very disappointing.

The vanilla milkshake had absolutely no taste and looked like milk foam. Both hamburgers had way too much pepper and no sauce.

Went to get a Sunday ice cream here on April 11, 2026... truly too sad for words. You couldn't even see the dollop of soft serve in the cup, and then they charge €3.85 for it. They should be ashamed. What's weird anyway is that prices differ between chains; a Sunday ice cream is €2.50 in Spijkenisse, for example. Still expensive for barely two bites.

The service and the atmosphere are very dissapointing, 10 employees working in the kitchen and the waiting time for a fast food service is delusional, But this happend only in Netherlands, very slow employees everywhere, no one cares...

Preferably not a single star when it comes to "service". Rude staff. We ordered a McFlurry; it arrived melted, and we asked for a new one (it was just like a milkshake, you see). A slightly plump blonde woman with a bun and Adidas shoes (white with a raised brown sole) didn't bring it but just threw it on the table without looking, and didn't even say "please." After that, I immediately lost all appetite for this McFlurry.

Trash... Ordering online waiting for 1 hour to be cancelled... Always cancelled no delivery and if you tip delivery guy then you will not get back those money or the order

McDonald's, easy food. It actually doesn't matter what you choose, most of it tastes the same. And if you take the 3 spicy sauces deal here, Hot, Hotter, Hottest, you only get the hotter sauces three times because the others ran out.

Even if there are only 2 cars in the drive-thru, you still stand waiting 40 minutes for a hamburger.

Terrible experience! They do not allow you to have your coffee in your own cup. Yes, they have their own, but what if you do not want to pay 1 euro or you do not want to use plastic or paper... 🙈

There were only two of us inside. We waited 15 minutes for our food, which was strong. Even the cheese was cold. Instead of a cappuccino, I got black coffee. Disappointing.

We've been here almost every week for the last 2 years. Pros Clean! Good service Diaper changing room Cons The highchairs for feeding children are often dirty. And not so much in crumbs as in pacifiers, especially the outer edges where the children's handles and safety belts reach. I think that it would be easier to fix the problem by leaving the highchair near the table where you ate, so it would be easier for the staff to clean the table with disinfectant and immediately clean the highchair.

On the way home, a friend and I stopped at McDonald's for a Friends Happy Meal. The food was nice and hot, and we enjoyed it. I had a duplicate Happy Meal doll. After I asked if I could exchange the dolls for another, a young woman who had previously served us easily arranged it. I thought she was a very friendly woman; hats off to her!

No toilet paper, dirtier toilet, all trash bins full outside and lots of trash in the parking lot

We used to come here regularly. But in the last year, it's gone from reasonable to very bad. This is more of a warning than a review. The price-quality ratio is completely out of whack!

Everything is simply perfect at this location. Food preparation is fast and almost always flawless. There are plenty of ordering kiosks. And even during busy periods, the staff is always busy keeping the restaurant clean.

Started the day early with a delicious cup of coffee. They weren't open yet, but I was kindly let in. When I tried to pay, the cash register wasn't working either, so I was allowed to take it with me. That's customer service. Thanks for that.

Great guys, nothing to complain about. I got half a cup of ice cream, and after seven sips I was done with my iced tea. The tables hadn't been cleaned. Friendly staff!

Always handy when you have a break

This place is the worst mcdonalds ive been in, been there 3 times, and all 3 times i had to wait like 40+ minutes for my order (restaurant was half empty, no crowded at all) and when i finally got it, every time i was missing majority of my order, after trying to reach someone from workers and get my order completed the food was already cold, also do not order shakes, kids that work there have no idea how to make them, if you order large shake u are getting vanilla flavour foam instead of actual shake, drink weight as much as a empty cup, no one gave them actual training how most of the stuff works and they are just completely lost most of the time.

Arrived at 9:21am. Ordered a full breakfast with croissant. After more then 40m, watching how other customers after me were getting their orders, I asked the waiters about my order, and everything was blocked because they had just put the croissant in the oven, and it required another 10m. Unbelievable. 50m for an order in a fast food restaurant. What a country.

While the Tesla was charging, we thought, let's have a Mac, but this was a big disappointment because the meat on the burger was very dry, almost no sauce. The worst Mac I have ever eaten!!

This is the worst McDonalds I've ordered from. The honey mustard chicken salad was the little side salad (to add insult to injury, with a Balsamico dressing still sticking out of the box), just with chicken tenders and a bag of honey mustard sauce thrown on top of it. They charged of course the full price for the salad. They forgot a McChicken and messed the drink sizes up. We sadly noticed it after we brought the food home. We won't come there ever again.

It was the first time I felt so awful after eating a Big Mac that I vomited. They have a different recipe, the Big Mac tastes completely different, bitter, and tasteless. I'll be avoiding this section entirely.

The toilet is so filthy I wouldn't even let a dog poop there. The toilet is cleaner at a French diner. Considering I didn't flush my enormous pile down the toilet, I still got some satisfaction out of it.

Incredibly busy, but they still delivered a great performance: Of the 10 people we were with, every one had something forgotten or wrong with their order. 10/10! The food itself was lukewarm to cold. The staff were busy chatting with friends. This looked completely unprofessional. McDonald's always has low expectations for me, but this fell short...
