Today (Saturday afternoon at 3:00 PM) No one in the drive-thru, and then placing the order incorrectly. Having to go back inside to complete the order you paid for, totally uninterested staff at work, three of them standing there laughing, and helping customers? Forget it. I come here quite often, but I have never had such a bad experience. I understand that it might not be the most fun job, but then don't work there.

The place was empty, but we still waited half an hour for our food. The cola was more like water than cola, and the fries tasted like old grease. The burger meat tasted strange. Not recommended!

A very disappointing visit. Although the restaurant was completely empty at 11 a.m., it took over 20 minutes to prepare two burgers. The staff seemed extremely unmotivated and unfriendly, and the food was unfortunately also terrible. Definitely one of the worst McDonald's stores.

I got 7 chicken nuggets instead of 9.

What an incredibly filthy, disgusting restaurant. I almost slipped on the floor, and everything in the hallway near the toilet was wet. The staff were very noisy, shouting with other young people. It was terrible. Never again.

Lorenzo is the most happiest and best employee. The welcome he gave us at the the drive in and the happiness he spreads is the best. What a service from him. McDonald's should be proud to have him.

Today, for the first time in about 3 years, I visited the McDonald's in Winterswijk. What I used to consider a decent restaurant completely changed my mind today. After waiting 10 minutes, my Big Mac was literally hurled onto the table by a girl who clearly wasn't very enthusiastic about it. The cola I had tasted like German Coca-Cola & Orange Mix, which I hadn't ordered either. The salad was supposed to be brought later, but you guessed it, after asking the wait staff twice and going straight to the manager, I finally received it, after the Big Mac had already been finished for 15 minutes. Furthermore, it is ridiculous that North African music plays in a McDonald's. On top of that, the restaurant, benches, and tables were just filthy, trash cans full, and tablets piled on top of each other. I know one thing now: this is the worst McDonald's in the whole of the Netherlands, and it is time for McDonald's management to do something about it, otherwise it will cost them a lot of customers! I won't be coming back here, but for parents with small children, this is supposed to be a neat, clean, and well-organized restaurant!

We had a quick bite to eat here, but it wasn't good; there were very few fries on the menus. Furthermore, the terrace and the outdoor furniture were very dirty. What I found most shocking was that staff from The Big M were sitting on the smoke-free terrace smoking. As far as I'm concerned, let the Food and Drug Authority loose on this place and shut it down.

A friend of mine dropped his milkshake and got a new one for free.

This is the umpteenth time this has annoyed me. Unmotivated staff who are only concerned with each other. All the tables were dirty, yet there were 4 guys standing around doing nothing behind the cash register. The food was okay for some items, but we didn't get any sauce even though we had ordered it and received it after asking for it. Additionally, the milkshake was wrong, and the simple burgers were dry and bad. Furthermore, some loitering youths came in, one of whom came in on a bike; instead of saying something about it, the staff just looked at him and laughed. So, the bottom line is, yes, it is a McDonald's, but it really should be looked at from above. There are actually a lot of areas for improvement...mm

Very mediocre; upon entering, the tables were all greasy, meaning they hadn't been cleaned. The food was lukewarm, the fries were hard, and the ice cream had melted. A very bad experience unworthy of McDonald's.

Really a dirty McDonald's. Not a single table has been cleaned. Half of the order is forgotten. And the staff doesn't seem very enthusiastic.

Very bad McDonald's. The self-service kiosk didn't print a receipt, so we didn't know the order number. I tried to explain the situation to an employee, but unfortunately, it was very difficult and took a lot of effort to find someone who spoke English. Our order then took an incredibly long time for just three burgers. While waiting, I observed that various hygiene regulations were not being followed. I used to work at McDonald's myself, and it was unacceptable there.

A great McDonald's here too! Same familiar menu, same spacious parking lot, same prices. Convenient!

Hello, my friend ordered a McChicken; it fell open in the bag and broke. And the fries were old and cold. We had the wrong order beforehand, and oh yeah, my chicken nuggets tasted like cardboard.

The most worthless McDonald's ever. First you have to wait 500 light years for your food, then something is missing, it's cold, and if you complain about it, you aren't taken seriously. Furthermore, the staff is truly worthless on all fronts. If the government wants to make a promotional film to encourage people to study, because otherwise nothing will come of you, then they should definitely film it here. It is also a grim place and very filthy. Lorenzo is an exception here; he is a warrior!

This McDonald's doesn't deserve a star. We aren't the type to leave reviews, but forewarned is forearmed!! Upon arrival, it already looked unkempt. We were there just after the rush, so you would expect that they would have cleaned up by now. But it seemed to have been so busy that they hadn't gotten around to it yet. We first cleaned the tables and benches outside ourselves with cloths that we fortunately had with us. In doing so, we looked out onto a glass wall with a moldy, dried-up blob (it looked like an old milkshake) stuck to it (which had ultimately been there for 3 weeks). That pretty much says it all about the hygiene. When the food was brought, it was cold and a large part of our order of over €70 was missing. Moreover, there were clear fingerprints of chocolate sauce on the iced frappé cup. We had ordered a cheeseburger without a pickle, but received one *with* a pickle anyway. The drinks were incorrect as well: instead of one large cola and one milkshake, we received two milkshakes. After pointing this out, we eventually received only a small cola, even though we had ordered a large one. An employee went to get new products, but in the meantime, it turned out our friends' order had exactly the same problems. The staff barely spoke Dutch, making communication difficult, and it took a very long time before a manager arrived. Eventually, we walked in ourselves and got our money back. We are well aware that a McDonald's is not a Michelin-starred restaurant and we visit regularly. But this branch in Winterswijk really takes the cake. The tables, the floor, the trash cans, and the glass walls were so dirty that it is almost impossible to put into words. The toilet really hadn't been cleaned for days. This was without a doubt the dirtiest McDonald's we have ever been to.

A cheeky guy wouldn't let us order just before closing time, but the people behind us did. Then he started acting all nice too, saying: “Do you want to order? You’re not allowed.” I find this extremely bad and absolutely no service! The food is okay but not great. The burgers are dry and the fries are often cold.

Dirty restaurant, dirty toilet, unhelpful staff, broken tables on the terrace, and on top of that, a fat rat running across the terrace. This experience was actually unworthy of McDonald's.

We had to wait an incredibly long time for our order. Because there were so many cyclists in the McDrive. It is not a bike drive-through. On top of that, we were told that we could no longer pay with cash. And we could only order chicken products, not the rest. Scandalous!

Cold food, outdoor terrace full of junk.

Aside from the fact that our burgers were probably taken from the bottom shelf, it was very cozy and still satisfied our hunger. However, we would advise against using the restroom, as it was far from clean... the smell lingered in my nose for hours afterward... perhaps there's only so much room for improvement if someone has already left their food there. But... and this is a big BUT... the floor (covered in urine and dirt) in the men's room... and even though I really needed to "take care of my food," I had to restrain myself and refrain from using it. I'll leave it to you to guess why I didn't want to use that restroom. Of course, I don't know if I happened to use the restroom during an extreme cleaning break or if they simply skip cleaning all day... That's why I hope I was just unlucky. In short: The food gets 3 stars. I wish McDonald's would return to its old standards. The service was actually 5 stars... because the ordering computer was really nice and easy to use, and the young man who brought our food was friendly and quick... but service also includes the restrooms, and well, I don't want to repeat myself... so I'm only giving it 3 stars. The ambiance?!?!?! What can I say? It's McDonald's, and yes, the restrooms are part of it, so what do you think... 3 stars. All in all, I have to honestly say that McDonald's is really only good for a quick snack these days, and even then, only if there's nothing else available... but I still always look forward to the rösti! 😁😁😁

Don't go here! What a rude mess here! They should just shut this place down! Got cold takeaway food, friends are more important than paying customers, and then you get a big mouth from the staff when you say something about it! There was a gap of over 20 minutes between the first burger and the last items! And it wasn't even super busy! How is this possible! It just can't be right. They didn't even offer an apology. They just didn't care! How can this place still be standing if you offer such bad service! I'm not coming here again!

Drive on to Germany, better skip this McDonald's.

The food was already ready, but the milkshake machine wasn't working, and they came by twice to ask if we wanted something else to drink. That was very nice, but the food was already ready at the counter, so it had cooled down considerably. But otherwise, it was fine.

The dirtiest restaurant in the Netherlands! The tables were all dirty. Many tables were still full of trash. The toilets were so filthy you wouldn't even want to go inside. The floor is slippery and littered with food and packaging. The food was cold, both the burgers and the fries. You have to experience it yourself to believe it..... This is truly bizarrely bad!

I write very few reviews; it has to be really good or particularly bad. And here, it is particularly bad. Customer satisfaction is nowhere to be found; there was very little fries in our Happy Meal. Nothing is said, they throw the container away, and you get a new one without any conversation. The food doesn't even taste worthy of McDonald's. We do come here regularly because there is no other McDonald's in the neighborhood. Over the past year or two, this branch has gone downhill enormously; it is a disgrace to the McDonald's name. Hopefully, they will conduct quality control sometime, because this is a downfall.

A girl who worked there was super mean to the boys who served. Very curt and unfriendly.

After about 10 years, I went to a McDonald's branch again, due to peer pressure. It's unbelievable what you pay for such low-quality food these days. A medium portion of fries for over 5 euros?! Unacceptable for such a small amount! >:-( The floor near the restrooms was dangerously slippery with grease, the tables hadn't been wiped, and the whole place was unclean – appalling for an area where you're supposed to eat. I feel sick and I'm resolving once again never to make this mistake again.

Once again, a cold meal. You would think they would have learned from the bad reviews, but no. I think I'll go there tomorrow to get my money back.

It looks like a hangout spot here for the young people who work here. When you come here, it isn't clean; outside, there are rats running everywhere. There's a foul smell inside; the floor is sticky, the tables are dirty, and then you look at the staff: they are only concerned with themselves, everything except preparing the food. Weird conversations are being held, and quite loudly at that. The guests are completely forgotten; they don't give a damn. In the evening, the music gets quite a bit louder. I sat down with someone, and well, we couldn't understand each other, and I haven't even mentioned the food itself yet!!!! McDonald's Netherlands, do something about this. Posted this message quite a while ago at McDonald's Netherlands, I also filed a complaint myself, so you would think that something should have changed by now. Well, I went back there, and no, exactly the same thing, nothing has changed!! And judging by the new reviews, neither have they!!! I don't understand how you can treat customers like that, and they should be glad this isn't happening in America, because there would have been multiple lawsuits by now.

Frequent staff errors, long waits. Expensive food.

We arrived and were laughed at by the staff, whereupon the manager came up to us and told us that we were filming. We were just on our phones; they immediately started shouting "don't film!" even though we weren't filming at all. Very rude, and we were just chatting with each other and with friends/acquaintances.

It wasn't very clean, the table was sticky all over, and it wasn't exactly busy at 3:30 PM. We both got sick from the milkshake; in other words, hygiene in the kitchen isn't up to par either, apparently. Because otherwise, we had different meals. Not recommended.

Making 2 cappuccinos takes 20 minutes, and when they are ready, it takes a little while longer before you receive them.

There was a hair in my burger. NONE of the employees or the manager are wearing any type of hairnet or hair covering item. Did you guys pass the health test ? How is this allow?

This was unfortunately the dirtiest McDonald's restaurant we've ever been to 🙈 The floor was sticky, the order screens were sticky, the toilet was filthy!!!, and the tables had streaks from cleaning? Never again!!!!

Order wrong, I even asked at the window if everything was included and they said they had, but in the meantime half of it had been forgotten; they don't take their work seriously and nothing was fresh.

This is truly the worst McDonald's I have ever been to. The staff here is simply terrible. A bunch of completely unprofessional, incompetent, and rude employees who have absolutely no respect for customers. Every single time, the order goes wrong. Forgotten items, wrong burgers, missing drinks or sauces. They don't check anything. Many of them barely speak Dutch, making communication a problem in itself. I understand that they want to give a certain group a chance, but this is no longer a chance. This is a structural mess of incompetence and disinterest. The worst part is their behavior. They are arrogant, condescending, and literally threatening. Recently, we filmed them all loitering in the parking lot during working hours. Immediately, 8 staff members surrounded our car to intimidate us. Pure aggression. And after that, they still laugh in your face, just swear at you, and act super arrogant if something isn't right. Not a shred of service or respect, just contempt and swearing. This staff is unmotivated, dangerous, and downright unacceptable. Absolutely do not go here. Avoid this branch. McDonald's urgently needs to do something about this, because this really can't go on any longer. It is a real disaster with these employees.

Saturday evening around 8:45 PM, there isn't much going on in the restaurant. Loud music is blaring from the drive-thru window, as if I’ve landed in a North African country. When I receive my order, the fries are cold and soggy. I go inside to report this. The staff are standing in the kitchen massaging each other's necks; not very hygienic. A new portion of fries is brought out properly. Once I start on the rest of my menu, that is cold and soggy too. Wasted money. No more McDonald's Winterswijk for me.

I strongly advise against it. Today's service was downright worthless. They mixed everything up. My partner got a beef McCracken and a new chicken one, and I got a small salad while I had ordered a large one. It is chaos inside and you can't even have a conversation because the staff in the dining area are fighting and bothering each other.

We received our order super fast.

We spent a wonderful 45 minutes with our child and dog. Delicious cappuccino and coffee, and the child could play and draw indoors. The Netherlands are simply very animal- and child-friendly. WOW! WE'LL BE BACK!

I ordered a regular cheeseburger and small fries. The cheeseburger was cold and without sauce, and the cheese was hard. The meat was like chewing a piece of plastic.

It was a mess, there weren't enough of those numbers.... and if you use a promotion via the phone and scan the QR code, it turns out the product in question isn't available?!?! You go to the checkout with that. "You saved up for it, didn't you?" they just say, "We can't do anything with this..."

Truly a scandalous experience. The restaurant was extremely dirty and completely unhygienic. The delivery person arrived with an arrogant attitude and then made matters worse by spilling an entire cup of cola all over my father. What happened next topped everything: she grabbed one cloth and acted as if that was enough. When my father asked for another cloth to clean himself properly, he was blithely told: "I can do that later." She then simply went on with other things, as if the problem didn't exist. We eventually had to find another table ourselves. The worst part is that everything was just left lying there — at the end of our visit, it was still a filthy mess. Rude staff, a complete lack of responsibility, and a filthy establishment. Absolutely not recommended.

Just gross. But yeah. You want something to eat. And it is good for your immune system. You need to keep that up sometimes, too. Once a year. I can handle this.

We only ordered 3 McFlurries, then 1 of them was completely wrong, 1 without sauce, and 1 without nuts. Mistakes can happen, but 3 times. Consequently, we also had to wait 25 minutes for these 3 items. Not a favorite.

The worst McDonald's in the Netherlands. And not just a little bit. Orders are never right, hamburgers always sit in the box like an exploded bomb. Often on the cold side. Takes a long time, nothing "fast" food about it. Staff incredibly unfriendly, bordering on antisocial if you can even understand them. Disorganized mess. Actually, nothing good to say.

I went last Sunday and ordered a double Big Tasty, but there was only one on it. I went back and the second one was just squeezed in between; the tomato and the rest were just lying next to it. I'm really starting to wonder now if I'll ever come back here again.

The restaurant was very messy. Lots of dirty tables. It was reasonably busy, but the staff visibly had no desire to tidy up or clean. There were people across from us who left and just left everything on the table. Very rude of these people. Staff kept walking past and looking at it, but after half an hour it still hadn't been cleaned up. There was a staff member who knew a number of younger guests. These young people were annoying and kept bothering him. It was also annoying that when placing our order at the kiosk, we had to pick up a numbered sign that was no longer hanging anywhere near the kiosks. Without providing a number, I could not place my order. I had to cancel my order and order again for takeaway. I didn't find this to be a very pleasant McDonald's.

Too bad, but I can add another bad experience to the list. A very long wait for anything to arrive. They certainly don't seem to get tired from working. With my McFish, the cheese was missing—just a tiny sliver. The sauce was minimal. Counting is also difficult. It's supposed to be 4 or 6 chicken drumsticks; we had 5. We definitely won't be going to this McDonald's again.

The food itself was fine. There were dead animals in the parking lot, outside, and in front of the door. They looked like cockroaches. Inside, there were a number of flies. That spoiled our appetite a bit. A shame. The service, however, was very friendly.

McDonald's is McDonald's, you might say; however, this McDonald's is more expensive than the McDonald's in our neighborhood. Furthermore, the staff is poor at speaking Dutch. Parking is a nightmare, considering this McDonald's is actually located in the wrong place.

(Sarcasm on) Robin, the owner of McDonald's Winterswijk, was looking for new staff, but he just couldn't seem to find any... Robin's wife came up with the idea to check out the local asylum seeker center. Robin took a look and quickly found a few super unmotivated employees for his Mac in Winterswijk. Robin's instructions to his staff were clear! Keep the warming trays off! If you sell a Big Mac, try to put only one patty on it, etc. Robin was happy because he could save a lot on costs this way :) The customers weren't so happy with the service. (Sarcasm off) People, avoid this McDonald's, and especially the drive-thru; everything goes wrong here. REALLY WRONG.

Small order for 1 person, empty place, had to wait 25 minutes for my order. Not recommended, this is not fast food but slow food, and very expensive too.

It's a McDonald's restaurant, and you get the familiar food that McDonald's offers, but... The big highlight: they have gluten-free hamburgers, freshly prepared to order. The service was truly excellent and friendly; I would have given it more than five stars.

Every time I come here to place an order, the order is wrong. Something is always missing or incorrect. It drives you crazy. And you pay a lot of money for that.

My friends and I went to McDonald's together, and they put the food on the table, said nothing, and walked away. The food was served cold. A very bad experience at McDonald's. Really, don't waste your time on this and go to another place instead of this McDonald's.

Terrible store. Today around noon, I was the only one at the counter and still have to wait at least fifteen minutes for a hamburger and a croquette. Looking into the kitchen, it's one big, disorganized mess! Buns are partially prepared and then left to dry out. The hamburger just went straight in the trash. A lack of organization and motivation is very evident here. I've been to our neighbors to the east as well. It was significantly busier there and the quality was much better.

Unfortunately, the cheeseburgers, although freshly made and not served for long, were cold. The packaging should be properly closed to prevent heat loss. On our second visit, the burgers were warm, but the cheese hadn't melted. However, the fries were no longer warm. The condition of the restaurant, especially the outdoor area, is unacceptable. A tabletop right by the entrance is loose and falls off if you lean on it. This should be fixed immediately.

Quiet McDonald's. It probably had something to do with the time we were there. Friendly staff.

Unfortunately, McDonald's is getting waaaaay too expensive. Also, there are a lot of mistakes, so my rating is going down.

The worst McDonald's I've ever experienced. They don't know anything about customer service here. The staff clearly don't care, just wandering around with a tray of food, looking for victims to drop off without saying a word. The order was delivered in three parts, and there was a good half hour between them. Moreover, nothing was right, but of course, you have to follow up on that yourself. So, having a nice meal with the kids was out of the question. When you ask politely, I get the impression the staff don't even understand you and just shrug their shoulders. Hygiene wasn't great either, and all the trash cans and adjacent tables were overflowing with trash. A quick visit to the restroom afterward is definitely not recommended. In short, a terribly filthy and unfriendly mess there, yuck!

Several very bad experiences at this McDonald's. With McDrive, I always have to check my own orders because they're often incomplete. The burgers are rarely hot... always cold, limp things that have been sitting there for at least two hours. Order a Banana Milkshake and you get a Strawberry. Order a Spicy McChicken and you get a regular McChicken. There's always something! The staff is incompetent, disinterested, and the restaurant is always a filthy mess. Dirty tables and trash cans often overflowing. Ugh!!

One of the employees keeps wiping away orders; in the end, my friend's order was even forgotten, and they claimed it wasn't on the machine. Oh well... We did get everything in the end, though.
