McDonald's McDrive in Wijk 7 Rivierenwijk en Bergweide

I've been here a few times now, but time and time again it is the worst experience I have ever had at a McDonald's. The staff is unfriendly, there is an unnecessarily long wait in the drive-thru (20 minutes for 1 burger with no cars in front of me!!), and everything here just seems to move in slow motion.

There is nothing to complain about regarding the service and the staff! However, it was a bit of a mess. All the trash cans (outside) were overflowing. The floor was covered with enough food for one person (inside and outside). The tables weren't just 'quickly wiped down'. It made eating less enjoyable than usual.

Lots of screaming children and otherwise it's just the Mac

It was very crowded. Especially at the toilets, but also on the terrace.

They closed the doors and shut down the drive-thru right in front of us, even though we arrived an hour and a half before closing time. Our last hope for food before starving to death... gone. Thanks, Merz.

I was eating in the parking lot around 1:45, a friend of mine was riding back and forth on his scooter. We then saw an employee, who was standing outside smoking with about 6 other young people, walk towards a police car, after which the police approached us. However, just before the police drove onto the parking lot, he asked for the first time if we wanted to leave, to which we politely replied "yes, that's fine." To that, he said "okay, good boy." This is extremely rude and abnormal behavior while working. I strongly advise against this restaurant, purely because of the rudeness of the staff.

A small, puffy blond boy was very cheeky at window 1.

Just got two banana milkshakes here; well, that banana really flew off the shelves because the milkshake has absolutely no taste, and that for 9 euros!

Very friendly service at the McCafé counter

After ordering at the terminal, the food was brought to the table very quickly and was freshly prepared. The food was hot and delicious, and the quality was also very good – significantly better than at McDonald's in Germany. The McDonald's restaurant and the restrooms were clean, as was the outdoor seating area and the parking lot. The staff was friendly and attentive. The McDonald's is located near the A1 motorway, exit 23-Deventer. I was extremely satisfied with my visit to this McDonald's.

Unfortunately, the burgers were cold, the fries lukewarm, and the cleanliness was also lacking.

The service was friendly, but very slow. The prices are really ridiculous by now.

A quiet, fertile place for approaching, there is a parking lot

Worthless location!! Two ice cream cones with very little ice and crumbled cookie cups. Old and therefore soggy, unappetizing chicken nuggets! Never again!!!

People peeing in the drive-thru, long wait, trashy guys at the ordering kiosk and the sharp turn that follows. Of course, you can't do anything about that. The food was just as expected. Ketchup sandwich, not much meat. The fries were cold.

Paid 4.10 for a bottle of water that was past its expiration date, and also received half my order at the window and had to walk back.

Delivered quickly. Otherwise as it should be. Small warning: my banking app for the table service just wouldn't work for payment. It turns out my phone connects to the Wi-Fi, and so does the bank. But if the login screen isn't visible, you don't know that you need to log in there.

@ideeënbus you always teach your staff to smile kindly, and that is how it should be of course, but... can that self-service kiosk of yours also present a little smile at the end of this deadly inhumane process to take my experience to an even higher level? Kind regards, Ex McDonald's crew 😉

What a nightmare the McDrive. The lady who took the order couldn't speak a word of Dutch. Who puts her in that position? And sure enough, half of my order was missing... but I could just wait there for it to happen, right? Last time for this and never again....

Too many inexperienced staff. Clutter on the floor that wasn't swept up. Dirty screens at the ordering kiosks. Overflowing trash bins that were left behind, etc. Also, some female staff members had their hair in a bun but with loose locks (which isn't appropriate). The restaurant wasn't busy, so there certainly could have been some staff sweeping up the mess on the floor and emptying the trash bins. And a quick wipe down of the tables and the screens at the ordering kiosks. That's better than everyone huddled together in the back of the kitchen. The display case didn't look clean either. I hope this store manager will take constructive feedback into account. I have experience in the hospitality industry, so I know what's what.

Back to McDonald's. Quick and easy. It was quiet and the service was quick.

At least the food was warm, and therefore tastier. Even the fries! The service is spotty and comes across as very disinterested. They're in it for the money, that's all.

The staff here is exceptionally good. A good example for other locations. But why do I constantly hear Turkish music here? You can play that at home, not at McDonald's.

Not my thing, after a quick bite Mc croquette, which is ridiculously expensive, but the only thing that is served warm instead of lukewarm.

No different from most other McDonald's locations. Inside, the furniture looked relatively new and clean and tidy. I haven't encountered many locations where the food tasted worse or different than at other McDonald's. However, for the first time, I didn't have to wait longer for the Meatless McChicken than for other items. I don't know why. The location is convenient along the A1 near Deventer. Convenient for a quick exit along the way.

Long wait at the MC drive, fries cold and tough, surroundings a mess

It is not open in the morning according to opening hours and there is rubbish everywhere on the ground

Great McDonald's, quiet evening, friendly staff, clean restrooms, and a clean restaurant. The food temperature remains a bit of a challenge, but we've gotten used to that at McDonald's by now.

Cleaner and better service than at the Scheg.

The restaurant is designated as a smoke-free zone, yet an employee was smoking during her break near the playground while children were playing. Cigarette butts were thrown on the floor and not cleaned up. This is unacceptable in a space intended for families with children.

A good place. Service is really fast. Parking is not so good but is enough.

Good evening, I was just turned away from the Mac drive-through. Everything was closed, and I was told I could walk through the drive-through. I was standing there, and an employee told me to "get out of here quickly" because I was walking. This is unacceptable. I'm so upset. I just wanted a milkshake.

Good allround McDonalds. Plenty of screens to order and the food was served quickly. Outdoor play area for the kids.

Terrible. I ordered food through the drive-thru and what a truly disappointing experience when I got home. I ordered a MC chicken sandwich, and the bottom half was in the box, while the top half was loosely dumped into the bag. The result: sauce was everywhere, but not on my sandwich. Then I ordered a Coke, and it was just water with a tint—yuck! And the same was true for my daughter's Cherry Coke! The MC nuggets were as dry and hard as the soles of my shoes, and the wrong sauces were on them. It was just a nightmare. You're paying a fortune for a mess that they can't even handle properly at the drive-thru. No, never again.

We were yelled at in English and received two half milkshakes instead of one, and one of them was the wrong flavor. We weren't told this.

Better than some McDonald's in Germany

I ordered a strawberry milkshake to go and had to wait almost fifteen minutes. When I got home, it turned out I got a banana milkshake... what a bummer... The guys were chatting away and were told by the manager on Saturday that they had to get to work because there were enough orders.

Poor service.... My order wasn't complete because of the Mac drive. I had to wait in the Mac drive again until it was my turn, so I had to pick it up inside.

Nobody in the queue but still waited for half an hour

Very nice, clean McDonald's. Not overcrowded, you could easily have a conversation.

Well, McDonald's. The same food all over the world. A hamburger isn't a bun, and the meat is thin and flattened. I always go for real fries and a real hamburger.

Not a customer of a friends club, my mother has an operation on her stomach and needs to go to the toilet and on the internet it says it opens at 8am, but it doesn't open for people to go inside to the toilet, they can learn a lot 🤬🤬

Steven at the order window was really nice. Very professional, but also had a great atmosphere! I give him a lot of compliments and hope he gets a better review!

Food always arrives cold, and the quality is very poor. I'd rather eat at local fast food places than chains!

Modern Mac, busy but neat and yet inviting, for a Mac.

Where has the quality of staff training gone? A staff member spilled hot chocolate on the table while serving... It also touched our coats. He got a cloth, wiped down the table and wall, said "sorry," and that's it 🤯. The food was cold, even the specials... How?! Faceless behind the counter, ice cream princesses are nothing compared to them.

There was a young boy (small) behind the counter. I politely told him the trash can inside was overflowing, and he gave me a rude mouth, which was unacceptable!

In my opinion, this McDonald's is rather small for its central location. Time to expand! There are relatively few seats, and they're all cramped together. There's not much room to sit down and eat your food properly. Especially when there are kids running around, there's not much room to improve the space.

I've had a poorly made frappe before, but generally speaking you can eat tasty and easy food here.

Extremely rude staff. At 12:36 AM, we pulled into the drive-through in Deventer, location A1. After waiting for a few minutes and no answer, we drove to the first window. A young woman reacted irritably and said she'd asked for patience. We explained that we'd been standing there for a while and hadn't heard her say that. She kept repeating that she'd asked for patience and told us we couldn't order anything and that we had to go through the drive-through again. We disagreed and called the manager. The manager also told us we had to go another round and refused to help us. There was no one at the drive-through, so we refused to go another round. We told her we were going to file a complaint, but we didn't get the employee's name. Fox, that's the name he told us we should address the complaint to. The employee's manner and tone were unacceptable. It was unprofessional that a manager didn't listen to the customer, but immediately tried to start a discussion by telling him we needed to drive another lap. And all this while no one else was at the drive-through.

Always clean and friendly. A must-visit when traveling to the Netherlands. The gluten-free burgers are perfect for people with celiac disease.

It's difficult if you're allergic to tomatoes to not put tomato on a burger you ordered without tomato. The two free McEggs were very tasty, though. But something clearly went wrong with the order.

Always nice and quick to eat here.

The food was fine, but the staff couldn't figure out that other customers had ordered food outside on the patio, so I had to wait a bit longer for my food, and it had already cooled down. There were also a lot of wasps, and I had to move, which wasn't great.

The order is never right, they always forget something, and the food tasted so strange that something wasn't right! If I get sick, I know where it came from! And it wasn't even busy, they argue with you as if you're lying about not having the sauce in it. Terrible, ma'am, just give me the sauce I paid for. It's not that hard, not that the sauce made the food better.

Compared to German McDonald's, the vegetarian selection is poor. You have to wait a relatively long time for your food at the McDrive.

It doesn’t star working at 9 am. And the workers wast were nice by showing through the window 10 on hands.

McDonald's, of course. Anyone unfamiliar with the Netherlands shouldn't be surprised that takeaway food and drinks are subject to a tax for disposable or plastic packaging. And, incidentally, the mayonnaise that accompanies the fries isn't free.

Poor communication between app and the poles again.

Hele slappe en vieze patat wel vaker bij MC Donalds gegeten maar Zwolle is vele malen beter. Voor ons de laatste keer meteen.

Unfortunately, there were very few vegetarian options and no veggie nuggets either. Very disappointing! But the burger was still good.

There is plenty of space and the food is hot and delicious! There is an electric car charger here too and an outdoor playground.

It was supposed to be on until 1 a.m., but the pipers closed at 12:30 a.m.

I don't think the new layout of all MCDONALD'S is great. But here in Deventer the food tastes a bit better and it is cleaner than anywhere else. Also the people who work there are friendly and helpful.

Have never had the food at Mac so fast and so hot as here. Staff was also friendly. Mac remains mac, so when the food is really hot, that's nice.

20 chicken nuggets always good!

Everything was fine, only there were people from HR or something talking to employees etc. in the restaurant itself. Not softly either, but you could clearly hear the one who was the boss. Because he crowed like a rooster with his chest full over everything. While I was eating my mc muffin at least five tables away. So unprofessional.. who does that in your office or something instead of on the work floor. Or before the opening..

Less nice staff than those at the Scheg and a bit of a grim atmosphere. The apple slices were not quite ripe (I say this on behalf of a sadistic friend)

What a slow Mc Drive.... Took almost 25 minutes to receive order. In addition, hamburgers just lukewarm. Too bad.

I had that crispy chicken honey mustard salad. That is so delicious, say. Now I am both a meat lover and I love salad and the combination is great in this . Recommended!
