McDonald's Oldenzaal in Wijk 07 Hanzepoort

I rarely go to McDonald's, and when I do, I'm always shocked by the outrageously high prices. You can get considerably cheaper at your average fast food restaurant. Also, the burgers were all lukewarm. The taste was okay, but the price is definitely not worth it.

Despite few customers, there was a very long wait for the food.

Wow, the worst McDonald's I've ever had! I waited about 45 minutes and then received food that tasted like paper. Even the fries weren't properly seasoned. The trash cans in the lobby were overflowing, so customers left their leftovers on the tables. They have a monitor to display orders, but they don't use it or they don't process the orders correctly. Customers wait in line at the pick-up counter to steal orders whose owners don't come forward. Meanwhile, half-eaten orders are left on the counter and aren't cleared away. I've never experienced anything like it.

If you're hungry, you've come to the right place.

The staff is friendly. When it's (reasonably) busy, it can get quite messy. Trash cans overflowing, tables covered in trash. They need more attention.

Perfect for warm weather, you don't have to worry about a hot meal. There were only a few customers inside, and yet we still had to wait 20 minutes.

On Friday night at 12:15 AM, I was stuck in the MC drive-through for over 15 minutes and still hadn't been helped. So I drove away. I did get help quickly in Hengelo 👍🏻

Just got back from the McDonald's drive-thru. Could we have a moment? Yes, but that moment lasted a really long time. I didn't order anything else; I was done with it. Too bad. McDonald's Oldenzaal is going downhill fast.

It closes before 12:30 AM, even though they say online that they're open until 1:00 AM. If you tell them this, unfortunately, they can't do anything for you.

Worst and most disgusting McDonald's we've ever been to. The tables are too dirty to touch (luckily I had my own wipes), and the trash cans are overflowing. We just left our trash next to them. The service is noisy. One employee walked around with a numbered order sign on his head. The food was okay, but not very warm. And we better not mention the restrooms...

The wait time at a McDrive is ridiculously long. Not just once, but consistently! It's better to order inside than at the McDrive. It's sometimes faster, even though it should be the other way around. And it's usually just a simple order, so that's not the problem. McDonald's management, please do something about this!

We just try to do a takeway here. They forgot to pack our McCrispy Korean (which is like 8 euros) so we came back to asl for it. We asked politely, but the ginger employee in yellow shirt was exteremly rude and THREW the box with the sandwich in our bag without a single word. I was never treated like this in any McDonalds before and we will surely next time drive to the other side of the border.

Just ordered the new Korean Chicken, twice. What a disappointment! The blob of sauce on it was no bigger than a euro coin. The chicken was incredibly dry! I ordered a vanilla milkshake with it, but it tasted bland, like a strawberry milkshake. This has happened to me before at this McDonald's. Luckily, I like both. It's a shame, because I've never had such a disappointment at other locations!

The food is comparable to other McDonald's locations. We visited this location around dinnertime on Sunday, so it was quite busy. Ordering went quite smoothly using the digital kiosks. Gluten-free burgers are available here. The burger we received turned out not to be gluten-free, but the manager quickly and courteously resolved the issue.

The order included a big testi, they didn't put it in. Afterwards we ordered lemonade, which we waited for 15 minutes, there were no people at all, the food was delicious, but the service unfortunately left much to be desired

Worst McDonald's there is. I had to drive back today because my order wasn't complete. This is the fourth time. I'll definitely drive past Hengelo next time.

Paying for toilet but not even a voucher gare mac

Hamburgers burned, very little salad, high price. McDonald is getting worse. Difficult to enter from across the Street.

I used the restroom and had a sandwich here. Tip for the staff: Clean the restaurant better. Your shoes stick to the floor, and it's teeming with flies inside. And if there's one thing I hate, it's flies. Especially when you're eating. The tables could also be cleaned better.

Back from vacation, and the toilets and floors are dirtier than anything we've encountered on vacation. There weren't even any trays left, even though it was quiet; they still had to be cleaned... And half the food wasn't warm or cooked properly. Not exactly MC-worthy.

Tables were sticky and not clean, we received the wrong food, our drinks were spilled, we were unfriendly and had no apology... and we had to wait a very long time... so that's not the case back home...

Visit on August 8th at 8:30 PM Our visit was unfortunately very disappointing. The ordering kiosks were missing table numbers, so we couldn't find them until we reached the cash register. Almost all the tables in the restaurant were sticky and covered in food debris. The chicken nuggets we received were tough, but luckily we could exchange them. The trash cans were so overflowing that we couldn't empty our tray. The restroom was in very poor condition and appeared to have not been cleaned for a long time. Overall, hygiene left much to be desired in several areas.

The food was delicious and the menu was only 5 euros per person. We will definitely come back whenever we get the chance.

Very mediocre We arrived here around 2:30 PM on a Monday afternoon, during the summer holidays, but it wasn't that busy. We ordered three drinks, a croissant, and fries. It took half an hour for them to bring it, and then we were out of croissants. We were given nuggets, but they still forgot the fries. They're pretty good, but such a long wait for a simple order and half of it still missing is not recommended.

Had to wait a long time. The burgers were old, cold, and very dry. Fresh and old, tough chicken nuggets were mixed together, inedible. The fries were incredibly soft, tasted like spaghetti.

Delicious food Very quiet restaurant

This store has really gone downhill. Order mistakes are becoming more and more frequent, and it seems more and more like they're shamelessly making money here in a less than respectable way. The milkshake machine was broken. They asked if we could try something else. We opted for some kind of red fruit lemonade. More ice cream than anything else (see photo after 30 minutes). Ordered a double QP... got a single... and that was in one order... come on, guys, there's definitely room for improvement!

Waiting 30 minutes for a coffee, a Coke, and a cookie is unacceptable. All other bulk orders were brought forward. It's totally chaotic there.

Long wait and does not meet the MC standard

When we arrived, everything was fine. We were helped quickly. However, our order was incorrect upon delivery. But after returning the receipt, the problem was quickly resolved, and we still received our order.

In Hengelo you do get hot food, but the quality here has been poor for years.

Even when it's not busy here they make a complete mess of it. Monday evening 19:00 with the family to eat, order incomplete, fries container half full and hamburgers lukewarm. McDonald's is of course not a star restaurant, but this is far below average.

A urinal that is completely full of urine that does not flush away. No staff member who will even look at it when you report it. When ordering, I chose the option of a take-away cup for a milkshake, you get a returnable cup, but I did not get the 15 cents per cup that I paid back. The staff is very uninterested. I reported a receipt that was completely empty, in other words no printed text. The staff simply ignores that. I also got a milkshake of which half had a different flavour. The tables were dirty. The signs for ordering at the table are nowhere to be seen, but you have to enter a number, otherwise you do not get an order. They simply do not do table service anymore. The person who had to live outside the bins dropped half of it on the ground, but did not bother to pick it up. All in all, I have never had such bad service. They will certainly never, ever see me again.

Ooooohhhhhh, what bad reviews do I read here, let me be mild, nothing changes anyway. We go there ourselves and you know it's always disappointing, then regret the calories. I saw that the hamburgers were prepared without gloves beeehhhhhhh.

For the first time in months because the service had deteriorated a lot, now well staffed again and staff friendly and helpful.

Its Macdonalds, in my opinion its always "mhe". Its always better to get something else bc you are never full or will be hungry after an hour orso. Also you always need to wait so its better to Support your local cafes. Its cheaper, better, nicer etc etc. Furthermore, its weird that you cannot get the toys separately from the happy meal while you can at other places. At least the couple of times i went here

There is no table that is not sticky, although a cloth has been wiped over it, probably with Dreft mayonnaise.

Today we had coffee and a cheeseburger at the Mac in Oldenzaal. Bad coffee and a cold hamburger. After filing a complaint at the counter, we had coffee and a burger again. Now the coffee was fine. The burger was just warm. The complaint was resolved well. All in all, we would not recommend going there again.

Customer friendliness has deteriorated recently

Well, the Mac. You shouldn't have too high expectations, because it is of course not a culinary highlight. I also try to keep this in mind when writing this review. Lunch/dinner are very variable in quality and average waiting time. What is recommended is the breakfast. In the morning it is wonderfully quiet and you can quietly read a newspaper while enjoying a McMuffin and a cup of coffee. The coffee is also quite good (I have certainly had worse).

This McDonsads has good service, good and friendly staff

After 6 hours in the hospital you can finally eat something. They forget the sauce, the cola tastes like water, you are spoken to in a grumpy and unfriendly manner and the atmosphere is as if they have seen ghosts. Never again, yet another bad experience. Too bad MC Donalds, very unfortunate

Took ridiculously long. Services in the drive was bad! Paying was a drama, I just had to hang out of my car or pay in cash. Service with a smile.. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Bitterballen were empty.

Had to wait at least half an hour for the order, which ended up being lukewarm (no idea why it takes so long if it isn't fresh). Too few staff I think, no manager, not enough for such a busy location around 7 pm in any case. It was eerily quiet in the kitchen except for the annoying squeaking of something. Unfortunately, many people were not happy. Felt sorry for the people working there. I hope for your staff and guests that something is done about this situation.

Of course it remains just a McDonald's that once a year you, for some inexplicable reason, suddenly find yourself really looking forward to it and regretting it again after the first, much too expensive, bite, but the service (drive-thru) was friendly and the toilets were clean 😄

Of course, when you go for dinner around 7 o'clock in the evening, you know that it will be very busy. But here was enormous uncontrolled CHAOS. Kitchen was full of boxes, leftovers, etc. Food was not given on a tray but in a bag. Apparently there were no more clean trays, no, there were plenty of dirty ones in the trash cans. You could pick them up every now and then, a little tip 😉 The trash cans were also overflowing, another tip: clean them more often. We've never experienced such a mess before, so as far as we're concerned, we'll skip this one from now on.

What a dirty place that was, food scraps on almost all the tables. When you walk, your shoes keep sticking to the ground. As with all McDonald's, the burgers are cold, the fries were soggy here, I was just sick from the food. Then the price was almost 5 euros for a fries, I spent a total of 25 euros for chicken nuggets with fries and drinks, hamburger with fries and drinks. It's cheaper if you eat in a real restaurant. The tent is run by children, there is no hygiene supervision at all and you should not let your children eat there at all. This place is arrogant too, especially because they (mis)seduce children with that junk. When are we going to ignore this place en masse, it is really ten times better to go to a regular snack bar where a real fries cost a maximum of 3 euros and you can eat your fill for 8 euros. So far I haven't had 1 mac where I didn't hold back with my cold burgers and then also get a big mouth. I'm done with it and I'm going to report it to the Food Inspection Service. It's getting worse and worse here. Staff walk around disinterested and sometimes stand behind the counter in their own clothing (instead of company clothing). I have even experienced that while I was waiting, friends of an employee came and then the order was clearly given priority. Quality is deteriorating rapidly due to the staff (forgotten orders, long waiting times, a lot of junk/waste, obviously reheated food, etc.)
