Meester in Centrum

Incredibly delicious French food with matching wines that were also delicious. The only downside was that one of us received a glass that hadn't been properly cleaned. We did receive a new drink free of charge. The steak tartare starter was super delicious, the rack of lamb was also excellent and tender, and the lemon tarte dessert was a great ending. It wasn't completely full on a Friday evening, but the atmosphere was still pleasant.

Had a really delicious meal, the pointed cabbage on artichoke cream was really delicious. The main courses were served with fries and salad, the salad was also incredibly tasty, a dressing of rosemary and orange and roasted almond shavings. Service very friendly and attentive and the place also radiated a very nice atmosphere. If we lived nearby we would definitely come back more often! Compliments.

Nice atmosphere and excellent service in this cozy restaurant. Good wine and coffee but the kitchen was a little disappointing. Halibut had little flavor and the sirloin steak looked rather pale and lacked a crispy exterior.

It's a good restaurant for its price range. Food is fresh, reasonably spiced and good portions. Staff is friendly and they've done some effort to minimize sound issues when full. While not something you need to go out of your way for, it's a solid choice if already in Apeldoorn center.

We have been here several times now and it has been great every time. Nice staff, wines very well matched to the dishes, beautiful dishes, fair prices. I'd say just go there! 👌

Small menu with classic French dishes, something for everyone. Good preparation and beautifully presented. Side dishes and water included in the otherwise pleasant service. All in all a nice restaurant where we will definitely return.

The best restaurant I have personally gone to. The duck with red wine sauce was divine and came with no unnecessary salad. Staff had a lot of knowledge about the wines and the music in the background was very pleasant.

Masterful food at Meester! Order individual dishes or go for a 3-course menu with matching wines. There is a lot of knowledge about the ingredients and wine types, which the team passionately shares at the table. The dishes are beautifully presented and not too large. Just right for a night out in French style!

We were early because we had theater tickets, and were allowed to choose our own table. So it started well right away. Even though we had an end time, it felt relaxed and we ate 3 delicious courses. Spacious annexes and good service. Good wine. Just had a nice evening. An asset for Apeldoorn, especially with a bill of 105 euros including everything for two people.

Tasty, not too much, I would put sauce under the pavlova. Name game on the card, is it deer, deer or hare. Serving mushroom dordogne sauce separately makes eating more active. It was a great evening.

The five of us had a delicious meal at Bistro Meester yesterday. There was nothing to complain about. It's a shame that more diners have not already found their way to this excellent restaurant. They are definitely worth a full tent! The prices are certainly OK and the free choice from the menu is an advantage. We will definitely come back.

We were very surprised by the interesting menu and the matching wines. The owner gives a detailed explanation of the wine and food combination, in an appropriate and welcoming manner, demonstrating his expertise and passion. We leave the terrace satisfied and impressed. Not had such a pleasant dinner in this price range in a long time.

The food was good, I wasn't blown away. Starter was tasty (charcuterie) but a bit lacking. Burrata was tasty as well as the steak tartare. The pasta was fine but a little too al dente for our taste. A cozy and informal bistro with a small menu with nice dishes. There is something for everyone. For €32.50 you can have a 3 course menu and that was very good. The dishes came not too quickly one after the other so that you could also have a conversation. All in all, a great meal for 2 people, 3 courses and 2 drinks each for less than €80.

Ate here on a Friday evening. Had never been here before and hadn't heard of anyone about it. Very positively surprised! Delicious food. There was really nothing to complain about the food. Everything was prepared with care and tasted excellent. The price-quality ratio is excellent if you go for a three or four course menu. Nice service and nice French music in the background. In my opinion this is more of a restaurant than a bistro. Nothing to complain about at all then? Well, it wasn't that busy and the hallways didn't move very smoothly. No problem for us, but if you have less time to sit on, or less time, it could take a bit too long. Oh yes...and a little more brioche with the (delicious) steak tartare. Conclusion; We will definitely come back here!

What a wonderful bistro. They have embraced the motto “what we do, we do well”. Dishes with good matching wines. A real evening out! The ambiance is somewhat minimalist but not disturbing to still have a cozy experience.

Tasty, but expensive, especially the wine by the glass and 3 pieces of bread are poorly supplied. Few vegetables on or next to the plate. For €130 for 2 people I expected more!

Ate with 7 people, good atmosphere and acoustics, attentive service. 7 different dishes, all served at the same time, hot starters of good temperature. Everything beautiful on the plate. Delicious fries with the main course. We ate both meat and fish, next time we will go for the risotto. Recommended to visit Bistro Meester.
