Very nice waiter, brought ouze immediately since service was a bit slower, although the place was not full. You could see other people were waiting for awhile outside and it took 10 mins to bring menu. Food wise - juicy chicken and good gyros, waited around 35-40 mins. When we entered inside to pay, full place was of smoke, not sure how people were able to sit inside with the smoke and smell. Tzatziki is full of cucumber and thick how its supposed to be, so food is good

I went here for my little sisters 10th birthday with my parents. This is the best Greek Restaurant I've ever been. The owners are very kind. I had the gyros, the taste is immaculate and the herbs on the fries are just amazing. I had the skordopsomo as a starter, and it's the best skordopsomo I've ever had. We had the Kormos as dessert and the chocolate had a very good taste to it! We don't live nearby sadly, but we would love to go back to valkenburg just to eat at Menta again.

Despite their website stating that they would be closed on Thursday, their Facebook page indicated that they were open. Fortunately, that was the case. The food here was truly delicious, and for the first time, we also had chilled Mavrodaphne. We had a wonderful meal; definitely worth repeating if we are ever in Valkenburg again.

Our visit to Menta was nothing short of unforgettable. The food was absolutely phenomenal..genuinely the best Greek cuisine we have ever tasted. Our youngest daughter celebrated her birthday today, and she wished for a Greek restaurant. Well, she couldn’t have chosen a more perfect place :-) . What an incredible experience from start to finish.The owners are wonderfully warm, kind, and passionate people. They made us feel at home the moment we walked in. Our birthday girl was given extra attention, treated with so much love, and even surprised with a special moment just for her. To top it all off, we received a beautiful gift ourselves, which truly felt like the cherry on top of an already perfect day.Unfortunately, we’re only here on holiday and live more than 2.5 hours away :-( (otherwise Menta would have gained new regulars without a doubt!!) To be honest, the best Greek I ever had. Authentic experience, they thought of everything, You even get Greek water. The food was awesome, very good quality meat and the moussaka was very nice. Don't look any further, just book your table here.

Ordered a pita gyros here after reading the good reviews; it had little to do with pita gyros. It looked like a huge pita cut in half, only to be stuffed back into the grill with a kilo of cheese and meat. No salad and no tzatziki, just a sort of homemade mayo. As far as I'm concerned, that has little to do with a pita gyros. The fries were good, though. So unfortunately, it wasn't for us. Plus, 21.50 euros per pita bread is quite on the pricey side. You do get a lot of food, though.

After ordering the takeaway many times over, we finally decided to dine in tonight (something we had wanted to do for a long time, but somehow never got around to until now). You can really feel the love and care that goes into both the food and the hospitality. Without a doubt, this is the best Greek restaurant we have ever been to. I hesitated when I walked in. It was very quiet. But this is the best Greek restaurant I have ever eaten at. Everything is fresh and tastes exquisite. The owner is obsessed with delicious (and healthy) food and wants nothing but to spoil his guests with the best Greece has to offer.

A hidden gem, food here is super good! The owner is really kind and gave good suggestions to us (and other tables), felt like custom made menu! Meat from grill was just the best, also Bugiournti was insane! They also have nice wine. When in Valkenburg do try this place, you won't regret!

After a long day of riding bikes, ordered take-away from Menta. It was delicious. We had lamb and chicken plates that hit the mark - perfectly cooked meat, generous portions, tasty sides. Friendly staff and quick service made it that much better. Will go again!

Food is excellent! Starters bougiourty and melanzane were really really great just like the main courses . Pita bread is also very nice and tzatziki is very good just like the desserts the homemade cheese cake and kormos chocolate. Sometimes the owner is the only waiter so be prepared to walk to the bar to order extra drinks, desserts or the bill. Busy but really friendly staff.

With the new owner the place has a complete different energy in a good way. You can feel he's in this with his heart and soul. The food, drinks and hospitality take you straight to Greece. Soft meat, seasoning, effort you taste it all 👌🏼 For now the owner is just running it by himself with a little help from his brother so orders may take some time, for me no problem, I don't think you should be in a rush while you're out for dinner. And in the meantime enjoy the atmosphere because they do anything to give you their homeland experience!

We chose Menta based on the good reviews. Despite its appearance from the outside and the limited number of tables, we took the plunge. It was a perfect choice, as we had a fantastic meal (and a lot of it)! Kudos to the owner; he's both a chef and a waiter, and he still provides excellent service!

We had a mixed experience at Menta. On the positive side, most of the food was quite tasty—the meat skewers were well-seasoned and the pita bread was fresh. However, the fried calamari was a disappointment as the rings were quite rubbery and tough. ​The service was the main issue, as we faced a very long wait time for our food to arrive. Additionally, the music was a bit too loud, which made it hard to enjoy a conversation. It’s a decent spot if you aren't in a rush, but there is definitely room for improvement in the kitchen speed and atmosphere.

We visited this restaurant because of the many glowing reviews about the food. While the dishes we had were certainly tasty, the overall experience didn’t quite live up to the five-star expectations. The interior felt rather underwhelming. The bright white lighting and simple decoration gave the space a somewhat cheap and uninviting atmosphere, which made it hard to really settle in and enjoy the evening. Service was the biggest issue for us. The restaurant seemed clearly understaffed which of course can happen, but after finishing our dinner we more or less became invisible. Our empty plates stayed on the table for over 30 minutes without anyone checking in or even making eye contact. In the end, we paid and left without having coffee or dessert because no one came by. The food itself was good, and that’s the reason for the three-star rating. However, given the overall experience, it’s not a place we would rush back to.

Very warm and welcoming owners. The food and ingredients are authentic and prepared with extreme care. We had a great time, the kids and us loved the food and the atmosphere. We even learned how dance the Sirtaki with the owner. A great spot in Valkenburg.

This gem almost makes us regret we were only here for a vacation and not living in South Limburg ourselves ;). The owner was a chef at a top restaurant in Eindhoven and now lovingly runs this authentic Greek restaurant in Valkenburg. The atmosphere was also immediately welcoming. Every ingredient has been carefully selected/imported, and you can taste it. No chemical additives, just genuine, pure food. Everything tenderly prepared. How wonderful it is to eat delicious food that's also good for your body!

Never had such a delicious meal. I'm usually a fan of Greek food, but this is truly another level. You don't even eat this well in Greece!! The ouzo was truly top-notch. All the meat was also delicious and tender. The bread with the tatziki was so soft... heavenly. I don't normally like olives, but these didn't have a nasty aftertaste at all. Simply delicious. We'll definitely be back.

It's better to have two fewer guests and serve everyone at one table their food at the same time, rather than bringing out lots of food bit by bit because the kitchen/service can't keep up. The food is otherwise good.

We had a wonderful, authentic Greek meal! The tzatziki deserves a 6*... the owner is passionate and eager to please. And the food is truly delicious. If it's busy, you might have to wait a bit longer, but it's definitely worth it. It was so good that we even went twice during our vacation.

The food was great. The most tender chicken and pork I’ve had in a long while! (Usually folks tend to overcook and dry the chicken) The firsts were also great, but really what stood out is the superb service and true kindness of the staff. They went above and beyond and did especially well with my 4yo daughter, so I’d even argue this place is very child friendly 10/10 would recommend

The four of us had a wonderful meal here. We always visit Greek restaurants when we're on vacation, and this one is absolutely fantastic. We ordered the Menta mixed grill and the Chirino Lion Rack. Large portions of super-delicious meat. Delicious fries and tasty tzatziki. A large bowl of Greek salad. The friendly, enthusiastic, and proud owner works incredibly hard and delivers on his promises, straight from the heart! A well-intentioned tip: warming trays and preheated larger plates would elevate the restaurant even further. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended!
