Delicious food, good and fast service, very friendly, and affordable prices. We sat outside, and it's quite noisy right next to Huissensestraat. The terrace next to the Albert Heijn looks very inviting. It was full inside, so reservations are definitely recommended.

This restaurant is a real insider tip! We received a warm welcome upon entering and immediately felt welcome. The menu offers a great selection, and every dish was a delight. We highly recommend the "melt-in-your-mouth" dishes. The atmosphere is pleasant and cozy; you immediately notice that the work here is done with love and passion. The service is also exemplary – attentive, friendly, and always with a smile. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it.

Since I went to this restaurant, I honestly loved everything about it, from the cleanliness of the place and the arrangement of the tables, to the staff's treatment of the customers. The service is prompt and they greet you with a smile. The food is varied and delicious, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. The food is super tasty. It is a shame that something is always forgotten when ordering online or by phone for pick-up. Sometimes you don't get rice with it, sometimes no fries. Sometimes no salad. Always something missing. But no matter what, I will always remain a customer because the food is the tastiest food you can find in Arnhem.

During my visit to this Iraqi restaurant specializing in kebab, my experience began with a serving of lentil soup. It was light, pleasant, and gently spiced — smooth in both flavor and texture. This was followed by a glass of ayran (yogurt drink), which had a buttery taste and a silky, foamy consistency. I couldn’t help but finish the soup — it was absolutely delicious. I initially sat at a table meant for six people, but a polite waiter came and kindly asked me to move to another table. He then mentioned that I could stay where I was, as long as I didn’t exceed 45 minutes, since the restaurant usually fills up by 6:00 PM. Up to that point, the service was courteous — not overly professional, but perfectly acceptable given the quality of the food. At this stage, with the ayran and lentil soup, the experience was very positive. I highly recommend trying the ayran — I was almost tempted to order a second bowl of soup. Later, I noticed that the ayran began to lose its flavor once the foam settled, becoming a bit bland. Perhaps it tastes different when served with kebab — we’ll wait and see. Then came the highly anticipated dish: the kebab. Time seemed to stop at the first bite — it was like eating a charred stone on the outside, yet soft and tender on the inside, with a rich and unforgettable flavor. An experience I strongly recommend. The bread served alongside was fresh and tasty, and the rice complemented the dish perfectly, adding balance and an authentic touch. The sounds of fresh bread being prepared, accompanied by the music playing in the background, created a pleasant atmosphere. The décor was distinctive, with expressive photos on the walls and a clear artistic flair in the interior design. Looking forward to another visit — overall, an excellent impression so far.

WONDERFUL The best rice I ever tasted (even better than the Nepalese!) and I don't like rice ! The meat, the vegetable and the way they were cooked was very tasted. Good service, very polite and always ready to help and suggest . The only "bemol" was ... no alcohol ! I understand that the Kurdish cultural don't use alcoholic drinks but...you brought "french" (BELGIUM) fries for pleased the "occidental" culture (that we even touched it). WE'LL BE BACK (so good it was).

The food is top quality and relatively inexpensive for what you get. Definitely recommended if you are in Arnhem to come and eat here at least once. Guaranteed that you will come back.

My favorite place! I have been to Restaurant Mesopotamië three times in the past two months – and every time it is great! You are warmly welcomed, and as a starter you get a delicious lentil soup with freshly baked bread on the house. A really warm start. The spareribs and lamb chops are fantastic: tender, well seasoned and perfectly prepared. You can taste that the cooking is done with care and quality. The service is always friendly, with sweet and hospitable staff who make you feel welcome. At the end you are offered a glass of Turkish tea – a nice end to a delicious meal. An absolute must. I will definitely keep coming back here!

Terrible experience. Staff were rude and inattentive—waited 10 minutes for a menu, then another 10 to order. Most of the food was cold, except for the chicken skewer. The bread and rice were NOT FRESH at all. The waiters were busy with themselves and didn’t seem to care about the customers or check if they needed anything.

I love spare ribs, and have eaten spare ribs in many places around the world. But never as delicious as I just ate at Mesopitamia. My colleague had the fish, which also looked delicious. And the service was very friendly and polite. Highly recommended if you are in Arnhem and want to eat really delicious spareribs. I will definitely come back one day.

Food is great and the employees are friendly! House soup, great! Fresh bread is delicious and the hummus is absolutely great! Keep it up. Small downside, don't offer baklava if it isn't fresh and that lava cake, please don't do that again. Heat it up quickly from the supermarket and add some vanilla ice cream. That's a shame.
