I've been living in Europe for 18 months, and this is the first real Margarita I've found. The drinks were delicious, and the next day we decided to come back to try the food - it was really good and truly had an authentic Mexican touch. The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was perfect for a date. I'll be back next time I'm in Amsterdam

The best nachos I’ve eaten. The atmosphere and the drinks are perfect. In a rainy day, we’ve found the place in chance and we loved it.

We ordered a chimichanga and nachos, both vegetarian and delicious. The problem was that I was with my friend, who's allergic to mushrooms. The menu said the chimichanga had vegetables, but no mushrooms. When I told them mushrooms weren't vegetables, they laughed at me. Apparently, the woman had worked in a supermarket and was pretty sure mushrooms were vegetables. I told them they could look them up on the internet, since they don't even belong in the same kingdom of living beings, and they were a little rude. Anyway, I ate the chimichanga, and we paid. And then we left.

Such a cozy Mexican restaurant with fantastic service from the moment we entered until we left. We were served by a very beautiful and sweet young woman. Very service-minded and smiling. The food was really delicious and tasty and their drinks too!!!🎉 We had a starter and main course and far too many tasty drinks and came away with 160 Euro including tip which the waiter thanked many times for♥️ Visit this little cozy gem...You won't regret it!!!♥️

What a nice surprise in the center of Amsterdam! This super nice Mexican restaurant is located among all the touristy and expensive places, run for 25 years by a real Amsterdam couple. They are so friendly and genuine, and the food is really tasty and feels home-made. The prices are fair, and the atmosphere is very relaxed, you really feel very welcome. A special place that makes you happy, and you don't see that often in the city center, great!

Excellent food and large portions

The food was good but they didn’t accept card for less than 30 euros. Since it was me eating alone my bill was around 22 euros. They made me go to the ATM across the street to take out cash which incurred in several fees for me, so that dinner costed me way more than it should have, just for them to save on some taxes or whatever their deal is with cards. On top of it, while I was taking out the cash they were watching me and waiting for me on the street. What could’ve been a nice dining experience left me feeling like a criminal (and paying high fees that I shouldn’t have had to pay), which could have been entirely avoidable if they had taken my card. The whole principle is already backwards because I am the one that feels robbed and in the meantime they are treating me as if I was the robber. I would never go back and do not recommend it. For me eating out is not only about the food but also how you feel in the establishment, and eating here turned out in a terrible experience. I give it 3 stars because the food was good and I want to give credit for that, however for the overall experience I would give it 1 star.

had a lovely dinner - loved the food! the mexican soup is amazing, as are the enchiladas. they have an extensive menu, and a huge list of cocktails including many margarita variations (incl frozen). all made fresh to order. loved the atmosphere & prices so reasonable for both food and drinks. there is also an outdoor terrace overlooking the canal.

I recently had dinner here with some friends and my experience was very good. The staff is super friendly and the restaurant is very nicely decorated. Make sure you are hungry when you come to eat here because you will get a plate full.

I arrive and feel like a nuisance, we are put at the bar by default (?), I ask if it is possible to be there upstairs, spoiler: impossible. The hot chocolate is very average, and then AS BY CHANCE the TPE doesn't work, and I have to go and withdraw from an ATM which charges me 20%.

Delicious food and very friendly staff. A surprisingly delightful find in the centre of Amsterdam which is usually riddled with tourist traps! The ribs were especially amazing!

Like most people, we were seduced by the sunny balcony. And the seats there are really not bad and have a nice view along the canal. Two stars for that. You can tell that, in my opinion, the restaurant otherwise thrives on tourist traffic. The service was untrained, had no language skills and took our order using a photo from the menu. Despite the hefty price, the margaritas were not served in a margarita glass but in a simple glass. Ordering + bringing the cocktails took 35 minutes. That also took away our appetite for food.

Super cozy restaurant, friendly owners and staff. As for the food...it's unusual how tasty, super fresh, wonderfully authentic and you can taste that it has been prepared with love. Cocktails are recommended with extensive choices Which you don't find everywhere in Amsterdam.

The worst mexican food we ever had! we ordered Combo and it came flat floaded with cheese, we couldn't which one was with avocado, nor beans of cheese, the three corn tortilla's were melt, flat, floaded as one big messy piece! The guys there are nice, especialy the one making some jokes! Never again, we felt like it is tourist scam. Please see the picture, when the food arrived, i lost my appetite and was just shoked!

The food was delicious. We were having a great time until the wife of the owner came in. She was a so rude towards the employees. She was always yelling. Two customers (a couple) made a reservation and let them sit on a broken chair. I told the customers that the chair was broken. When we finished eating, we were going to have cocktails. I really couldn't stay there. The negativity e was unbearable. The employers were scared. I will never eat there. This was my first time and last. When I told the owner that his wife should change her attitude, he didn't care at all. We then went to have cocktails at the Sky Lounge Hilton. It was super chill. We loved it.

Went to the restaurant without reading the reviews and were a little disappointed Waiters are super nice, but they are not that organized. Had to wait 45 minutes for the food and 20 minutes for our drinks. Very good restaurant, good cuisine, tasty dishes. We had the enchiladas and the Comida Mejicana (tacos) plate. Main courses come with salad, a little guacamole and seasoned red beans. Service a little slow due to heavy traffic but good meal. Wide choice of drinks and beverages.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon, we had a reservation at 5 pm for the upstairs area. The upstairs area is nice but its a bit small, maybe only 20 people maximum can sit up there but there is a nice view of the canal. We started off sitting downstairs until a table opened up upstairs. The employees were really nice in accomodating us which was great. Then we started off buying a pitcher of Mango margarita. Really tasty margarita. We also started off with some nachos. It was interesting to see cucumber on nachos but the nachos taste was alright. For the main course we ordered: a chimichanga (deep fried flour tortilla filled with beef, also came with rice, beans and salad), a burrito (chicken and beef, came with rice, beans and salad), Fajita Margarita and Vegetarian Chimichanga. The meat for the Fajitas were very flavorful. The Chimichangas were solid but the size was a bit on the smaller side. The employees were really helpful though!

It was a total fail to go to this place, they served us some "natural passion fruit juices" that turned out to be from the supermarket box (we saw it when they served it, from our table) also during the food I had a hair, totally unacceptable and disgusting, and well the attention was more or less. However, when paying, they charged us a supplement of €6 for the table we were at, the plates and cutlery we used!!!!! I find it unacceptable and outrageous and to make matters worse they charged us an exorbitant amount!

We returned to them after many years and unfortunately we did not find the same atmosphere. The lady was very kind, but we had a big inconvenience, under our table we found a dead mouse, which was picked up with a napkin without even giving a clean where it had been found. We weren't given even the slightest discount. Decent food and very plentiful.
