Expensive, the borito was literally cold, and so was the meat. My girlfriend had a spicy borito and felt incredibly nauseous afterward. The woman who made the borito was grumpy and not customer-friendly. My male colleague, on the other hand, was sweet, greeted me immediately upon arrival, and was relatively calm. The atmosphere wasn't great, but it was good. Too expensive and I wouldn't go back.

I went to the Kinkerstraat one and we ordered a bowl. It was empty, very little amount of food. I asked why to the girl with a bob who prepared it and she insisted it was the usual amount with a rude attitude and she was not even listening to me. She did not give a care. It was the first time in this location for me. I usually go to the one in bjielmeer arena or in haarlemmerstraat and they always give us a good filled bowl. It felt like half of the normal portion. I advise the owner to check on staff, they really let customer run away... Such a pity. I will never go to the Kinkerstraat one again, and not recommend to anyone. The service is so poor. Zero customer service and empathy, not professional.

Fast, healthy food, good price and kind staff

I have seen these shops around Amsterdam and while walking along Kinkerstraat I decided to stop in for lunch. I was very happy with my burrito . It was very large so enough for two meals and I really liked the flavors. There was spice (which I don’t find so often in the NL. Finally they also had Modelo Negra.

I had a delicious meal at the salsa shop, and the girls, Jules and Siza, were very helpful. I'll definitely be back!

A disappointment. Friendly staff, but the food quality was poor. I took a few bites and immediately got a stomach ache. The price-to-performance ratio is questionable, but perhaps that's par for the course these days. I don't normally post reviews, but this was very disappointing. I hope this helps someone.

I am always skeptical of Mexican restaurants so far away from Mexico. Ingredients usually are lacking to make a great meal. The sign outside of this place says "burritos and tacos" so I went in to investigate. I saw the items behind the glass and smiled. I spoke in Spanish to the manager and found out he is from Mexico. It was before noon so I decided to walk around and come back. For me burritos and tacos are only eaten after noon time. I asked for a barbacoa burrito with rice, beans, corn, tomatoes with onions, cheese, lettuce and the hottest hot sauce. I always like eating my food very spicy hot. I was warned that the hot sauce was too spicy but this is Amsterdam. How hot can it be. Boy was I in for a surprise. The spice was too much but I ate my burrito with some tears in my eyes. The Mexican manager warned me and I didn't listen. My stomach burned for a little while and my pride was put in its place. Next time I will really listen. Overall I really liked my burrito and I recommend this restaurant for a nice Mexican/Holland experience.

Friendly staff, but the burritos seem to be getting smaller and less flavorful. Tables weren't cleaned.

I had the chicken burrito, it honestly didn't come close to what a mexican burrito should be. The flavour was very bland, a lot of the filling was still cold. The whole wrap was soggy. If you look at the picture you can just see it misses spices, sauce, etc. Even the cheese is still solid haha. I really do not recommend. If you would just have seasoned the chicken, let it marinate in a proper sauce, and grill the burrito so it is crispy, that would already have been a huge difference. It was delivered very fast, so that is not an excuse for the cold/soggyness.

A chicken burrito with lemonade goes from € 13, already expensive, to € 15. I think that visiting this establishment once every three months is more than enough. I can make my own chicken burrito at home for less than € 5. Also the lemonade doesn't taste as before. Before it was real lemonade made from lemons, now its made out of a chemical powder. Tastes aweful.

Today I received excellent service from a Dutch guy working inside. I have a lot of respect for him! He was friendly, professional, and did his job neatly and attentively. He helped me choose my meal and made sure I truly enjoyed it. A fantastic employee and a true hero! Thanks for the great service! A true soldier!

If you want a wet burrito dripping water and cold food as out of the freezer then this is the place to go.

The staff seemed friendly when I ordered and was served, but next time I'd appreciate it if no one said "I hate that dirty faggot" about a colleague (?). I grew up in a less-than-respectable neighborhood myself, and I know that slang words are sometimes used in a different way, but that comment really rubbed me the wrong way.

Extremely stingy shop. You pay €7 for a quesadilla and €4 for a 0.33 liter drink. The staff are unfriendly and charge extra for every kind of drink. The air conditioning is aimed directly at customers and set to below zero, guaranteeing a cold. Even the restroom, which had no soap or tissues refilled and whose sink was smaller than a bowl, cost €1. The food was reasonably good.

Ordered 2 bowls with guacamole and nachos. First delivery only came the bowls, without the guac so I had to order the nachos again. Way too few nachos and very soggy.

5/5 great burrito Solid Burritos, No Fuss Chill burrito spot. Kinda like Chipotle, not quite as good, but still hits the spot. Fresh ingredients, good portions, no weird surprises. Just a solid, easy meal. Vibe’s super chill too - no frills, just grab your burrito, maybe some chips, and you’re set. If you’re in Amsterdam and want something quick, tasty, filling - and here’s the kicker - relatively healthy - this is a solid option I’d get behind any day of the week 🤙🏻

Order via Deliveroo. By the time he was supposed to be concerned, a phone call: tacos are gone. Few apologies, no compensation. One burrito was delicious, the other quite bitter. Both not really warm. Update: a response 8 years later. What should I think about that now?

Amazing Mexican food! Easily the best takeout I’ve found in Amsterdam. The flavors are excellent, and everything tasted super fresh. Ordered delivery, and while everything was fantastic, I did miss my spicy habanero sauce, which would have been dynamite! Still, a great experience overall—definitely recommend!

It’s my first time (as I can remember) trying Mexican food and it was good. I was a bit hesitant at first to try but the staff was friendly, explaining to me each of the menu. I can’t really compare the prices to other Mexican restaurants, but overall it’s pretty affordable. The food was okay, not the best but yummy. The setting inside gave me Mexican vibe as well, it was nice. Glad to try new things.

I come here a lot! I’m vegan and they have a chilli sin carne with soy protein which I love. Very well seasoned. They also have veggies. You also get a lot for your money. Really good sizes on the bowl and burrito. This is always the answer for me when I’m looking for a quick, tasty and nutritious meal :)

Went this evening to this place. All I can say is that the young woman working there seemed completely not interested in helping. Idk if she was tired but not only she was unapproachable and dismissive, but her attitude gave the impression that assisting customers was a burden. The guy working with her was friendly doe.

We were loyal customers for a few years, but the quality went down significantly. Starting with positives - the beef is done excellently. However the rest is getting worse every time. Corn tacos never hold and get soggy, guacamole has no taste (and you pay extra for it) and salad is slightly browned. The worse however today, the rice was overcooked and sour! We ordered around 12:30 in person and it looked like the rice container was full for the day, I do hope no one got food poisoning. Sad to see what happened to a nice place that always delivered quality.

We ordered takeaways for Sunday dinner. We waited very long for our order. There were only two teenagers begind the desk and they seemed completely overwhelmed. The atmosphere in the shop was not great as people and delivery people were piling up waiting for their orders. The food was okay.

Bad service, ordered on a tablet upon arrival, everyone who came in afterwards ordered food at the counter and then walked away with their food. Huh?! When I reported it to the boys after 15 minutes, they said they were too busy but otherwise no excuses. Great food, bad service.

I went there for (late) lunch on a Wednesday. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was good, typical Salsa Shop, which i think a very good add to the Dutch fast food market. 4 starts because of the prices :)
