I visit the restaurant today with my family. Food was good and attention was superb. My barbacoa bowl was excellent. We will be back.

I come here a lot! I’m vegan and they have a chilli sin carne with soy protein which I love. Very well seasoned. They also have veggies. You also get a lot for your money. Really good sizes on the bowl and burrito. This is always the answer for me when I’m looking for a quick, tasty and nutritious meal :)

The staff really need to be changed. They really aren't nice

Went this evening to this place. All I can say is that the young woman working there seemed completely not interested in helping. Idk if she was tired but not only she was unapproachable and dismissive, but her attitude gave the impression that assisting customers was a burden. The guy working with her was friendly doe.

We were loyal customers for a few years, but the quality went down significantly. Starting with positives - the beef is done excellently. However the rest is getting worse every time. Corn tacos never hold and get soggy, guacamole has no taste (and you pay extra for it) and salad is slightly browned. The worse however today, the rice was overcooked and sour! We ordered around 12:30 in person and it looked like the rice container was full for the day, I do hope no one got food poisoning. Sad to see what happened to a nice place that always delivered quality.

We ordered takeaways for Sunday dinner. We waited very long for our order. There were only two teenagers begind the desk and they seemed completely overwhelmed. The atmosphere in the shop was not great as people and delivery people were piling up waiting for their orders. The food was okay.

Bad service, ordered on a tablet upon arrival, everyone who came in afterwards ordered food at the counter and then walked away with their food. Huh?! When I reported it to the boys after 15 minutes, they said they were too busy but otherwise no excuses. Great food, bad service.

I went there for (late) lunch on a Wednesday. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was good, typical Salsa Shop, which i think a very good add to the Dutch fast food market. 4 starts because of the prices :)

Jahcynta is amazing!! Everyone should be trained by her, like in every salsa shop in the Netherlands. She makes the best burritos. She mixes them very thoroughly at the end, so you won't have just one bite of sauce at the end. She makes the best burritos. And she's also a very nice person. Jahcynta thank youuuuu!!! 🤩

I read in the reviews that food was cold and ingredients were missing. Owner wrote 4 weeks ago that the problem had been resolved. Unfortunately that is not the case. Our order was cold and missing chicken and guacamole for 2 dishes. This is very unfortunate

Come here only for takeaway. Portion size is good, food is always fresh and prices descent. Reward system for points never worked, but seems like they finally improved that now.

Ordered a chicken bowl. Half the ingredients are missing. It seems from the reviews that this goes wrong more often. What was left was ok. To avoid.

I placed an order here and two things were missing and the burritos I did receive were wrong. After this I called them and all they did was laugh and say there was nothing they could do about it. Not recommended and would not order here.

I visited Salsa Shop today and had a very disappointing experience. Despite spending more than €10, the staff rudely informed me that I was sitting around too long. This behavior is completely unacceptable, especially towards paying customers. To make matters worse, there was no one else in the restaurant. I was not monopolizing anything or bothering anyone. The customer service at Sala Shop leaves much to be desired, and I will not be returning. I strongly advise others to avoid this place if they value respectful treatment.

The place seems nice, the staff is friendly, but the tacos are very bad! They come cold, they don't hold together and are old. The filling was ok. Jammer! It had potential. I don't recommend.

Toilet costs 1,- had 90ct or a 5 note but unfortunately they couldn't do anything with it or change 1 euro or nothing and sent a pregnant woman away. Ridiculous!

Just ordered via Ubereats. It tasted okay, but the portion is a lot smaller than a while ago and certainly not enough as a meal.

I come here often as the food is convenient, but the service is the worst. People that work here never greet me, never smile, always with a grudge. The shop is dirty and I have serious concerns regarding food health and safety and cross contamination, as I witnessed many time the single ingredient scoops being pressed over other ingredients.

I was immediately reminded why i don’t order here anymore.. always a saugy mess. Can’t even wrap a burrito properly, isn’t that like your only job?

This restaurant is located in the haarlemmerstraat. I bit chaotic and busy. They have the famous Mexican specialties. I have to say that my bowl was fairly good. So it was tasty, but not that wow. If I compare it to others then definitely it’s a one-time thing with them. But their portions are big and satisfying. Staff were nice and helpful.

Ordered a burrito chicken bowl to get this disappointment, they pretty much added only rice and chicken and forgot ALL THE REST. Complained with uber eats to see if I can get a refund. Disrespectful place towards the customer, do not order here!

The food was very tasteless, very salty, tasteless, cold, the tortilla was broken, surely this doesn't happen anywhere else. I would eat it again as a last option.

Lower quality then other Salsa Shop locations. (There is actually a notable lower average stars ratings, compared to other locations nearby.) The shop is not as clean/ well maintained as other locations. Beans and meats are served cold and the wrap is often a wet mess. Where at other burrito places I’m surprised how much they can fit in without breaking the wrap.

Updated review; After trying this salsa shop once again, i hoped for a better experience. I must say, the taste isn't bad, i like it. But what was bothering me this time that wasn't acceptable is that both of our burritos contained hard rice. I thought my teeth were breaking some times. I don't know if it wasn't cooked properly or if it happened while keeping it warm overtime and it dried out. The fiery yellow habanero never came back to its fiery status like it had some years ago. But i think they made it more accessible for a broader audience this way, so i understand why they would do this. Score didn't change this year unfortunately. ===== I don't know what happened to this shop. The fiery yellow habanero doesn't have any heat to it anymore. And giving just 3 quarter scoop of meat is poor as well. I know I used to really like it here, but this was a disappointment.

The burrito is always super wet and never wrapped good, it's a mess. While the other store Ferdinand bol, is always clean and wrapped good. They even have a little salsa shop sticker to close the wrap which I've NEVER seen used at kinkerstraat. Bad store

Terrible food, small portions and high price

Good, high quality food. The manager was a joy to talk with and I am very happy to meet him. Would recommend going to this restaurant for a healthy bite

Zojuist eten besteld via uber eats. Ze hebben de burrito verwisseld met de salade. Alles wat in de burrito moest zitten zat in de salade en andersom. Erg jammer.

Really tasty bowl. The variety of sauces are great. The restaurant could be more cleaned.

I had the bowl which i paid 16 euro, and the quality of the pulled pork was simply unacceptable! The meat was clearly old and terribly dry. For the amount of filling, the sauce was literally a drop. That bowl should cost barely 8 euro for how it was presented. On top of that the staff was visibly carrying out the day with no attempt of customer service. Will never come back!!!!

Good healthy fast food for busy days

The service was remarkably pleasant! The server patiently waited for all of my amigos to decide on their orders, displaying genuine kindness throughout the process. The diverse array of toppings provided a perfect balance of flavors, creating a true explosion of taste! The guacamole, despite its additional 2.50 euros charge, is definitely worth every penny – creamy, perfectly seasoned, and simply heavenly! One thing I have to mention: The tacos at the Salsa Shop present a bit of a challenge to eat without any cutlery due to their generous fillings and the messiness that comes with each flavorful bite! Be aware!

A very good fast food Mexican place

Last time I ate here I got the spiciest salsa and had to throw away my burrito because it was so spicy I can’t imagine it being edible for anyone. This time I played it very safe and ordered a veggie burrito with ‘peach habanero’, which is their lowest spice level salsa, and I still had to stop eating halfway due to spice. I ordered without sour cream which will influence spice level a bit. I normally order medium to spicy Indian curries and can definitely handle more spice than the average Dutch person so I don’t think this is my problem! Definitely the last time I’ve ordered here. Service was fine but not very friendly.

When I visited Amsterdam, I ate the mexican food in this place, it was amazing 100% recomended carnitas bowl for me uffff.

Good things always have to be recommended, I love Mexican food, I was surprised that in Amsterdam you can find Mexican food, in Salsa Shop, the place is very quiet, they prepare the food super fast, I liked that you can order the tacos with 3 types meat, they have pork, chicken and beef, their salsa are of all tastes, not spicy, medium spicy and very hot spicy, I was very satisfied, very delicious, I'll be back soon.

I tried a chicken burrito with salsa verde, it was very tasty. Also guava jarrito, totally recommended.

I loved the tacos, the best thing is that there is a vegan option for chili sin carne an d veggies. I loved that you can combine your tacos, so you can try all of them, Salsa chili peach is my favorite, recommended if you are very hungry!!

The food was delicious, super fresh, it felt like home made, I tried the barbacoa burrito and a bowl of carnitas with Salsa verde for me that was the best combination, I would go back again. The place is super quiet, they have a table near a window and it's perfect for sunbathing while you eat or you have a conversation with someone, I loved it.

The food was good, but I wish the warm components were still warm when they went into my bowl. Otherwise very tasty and well seasoned.

The food was the best Mexican food I’ve eaten in my entire life!!! The staff was nothing short of exceptional and specially the manager who was a true Mexican connoisseur almost straight from Cancun. He even speaks Mexican despite not being from there. Truly an awesome experience and 1000% recommend for Amsterdam visitors.

Eten was niet wat ik besteld had.. Er zat ander vlees doorheen dan besteld, saus klopte niet, natte/verlepte sla.

12/30/2022 I can't say that the store is amazing in any way but the food and the crew made it all good. I was a bit worried when it was a build your burrito shop, not usually my favorite but they had a really tasty meat and piled on the ingredients. The staff helped me pick out and pair the ingredients. The three of them were super sweet and interactive. I truly enjoyed the experience even though I would count it as fast food. Thanks to the staff for turning a quick bite into a special moment.

Lovely staff (however in training so idk if they were nice because of thay), good food, huge portions (we had burritos) Smelly toilets without running water (in male sink). Not a fancy place (it's a fast food duh) but if you are hungry this will more than satisfy you. Honestly, I'll come back when I'm in the area. Recommended.

Will never order here again. Tasteless burritos without cheese or guacamole and barely any chicken. tiny portion of guacamole for 3 euros. Ordered two of them. Barely enough. And also the burritos were way overpriced.

Salsa Shop aspires to be Amsterdam's answer to Chipotle, but unfortunately it falls short. Their burritos seem to be made without much care. I'm not convinced the owners or the staff have experienced the beauty of what burritos can sometimes be. It's like a painting of a lion at the Rijksmuseum, where you can tell that the painter was told what a lion looks like, but he had obviously never seen a lion before, because his painting of a lion is just plain weird. The burritos at Salsa Shop taste like the maker has been given a description of a burrito, but never actually experienced what a real one is like. Here are my observations: - why is the shredded cheese never melted? It should be put directly on the hot tortilla, under the meat. Then it melts. This should be a major priority. Unmelted cheese is a crime against burritos. - the barbacoa is very good. excellent even. A+ - after multiple trips to different locations, my burritos have been improperly rolled. Today is was rolled so poorly that I couldn't tell where the ends were. It wasn't cylindrical, it was just a square blob that became unfolded as soon as I unwrapped it. I think I ate it sideways but couldn't even tell. - the frijoles negros were not fully cooked. Crunch beans are not good. They felt like they were made in haste. - the rice was desperately lacking salt. Quite bland unfortunately. - there's nothing wrong with corn, but I'm pretty sure putting it on a burrito is something only done in Europe. (I can forgive this though.) Overall, if they would simply add the cheese to the tortilla first so it melts, cook the beans properly, and train staff how to roll burritos properly, then this place would be 100% better and I would go more than once a year. Salsa Shop has the potential to be very good, but just misses the mark.

Lekkere burrito’s met eigen keuze voor vulling. Beste burritos met lekkere sauzen en gebruik van pepers. Goede to go maaltijd. Ook lekkere tacos.

Ik bestel hier vaker omdat het eten zelf altijd erg lekker is, echter krijg je halve porties als je een bowl besteld. Nu had ik specifiek gevraagd bij de bestelling om een volle portie en kreeg een kwart gevulde bak, PLUS EEN AFGEBETEN NAGEL IN MIJN ETEN. Hier nooit meer eten/bestellen.

Un posto semplice, sia per chi ha voglia di cibo tex mex fuori sia per chi ha voglia di gustarlo a casa! Si parte dalla scelta del burrito o tacos e si continua lungo la linea decidendo come riempirlo! La carne gustosissima, ma il riso del burrito era speciale! Selezione di salse tutte da gustare!

Via deliveroo besteld. We kregen twee koude zompige burrito's met alleen vlees en zwarte bonen erin (zonder groente of iets). De guacamole, die we voor EUR 2,50 erbij besteld hadden, was letterlijk een onrijpe halve avocado die we onderaan in de burrito terugvonden. Nog nooit zo slecht eten besteld.
