Great outdoor space with really good canal views. It turned a bit cold so we asked to go inside which was no trouble. Food was really good (we both had beef tacos), and the beer was good too. I would highly recommend it.

Delicious breakfast sandwich, the bacon and cheese toast is highly recommended! Thanks to our friend from Equatorial Guinea. Oh, and the coffee with milk was great too. And the atmosphere is lovely; sit outside by the canal.

They have a good selection of drinks and decent prices but the food was disappointing and obviously cooked from frozen. We waited about 45 minutes even though it was very quiet just for the burritos to be tasteless and the same with the burger. The chips were also obviously frozen - no wonder it took ages to prep.

Spaniards, run from this place! They serve bagged nachos and overpriced Mercadona sauces. They have a dish called Paella Valenciana, and it has shrimp and peas. Nothing more to add. Amunt Valenciana!

Absolutely disappointing and not recommended. My girlfriend found an eyelash in her paella, and later I found a short blonde hair in my salad. We immediately lost our appetite. When we informed the staff, there was no apology and no understanding. Instead, we were treated rudely and even accused of the hair belonging to my girlfriend – despite the fact that she has long dark blonde hair and the one we found was short and light blonde. Then we were asked why we only mentioned it now. Are customers expected to inspect every dish for hairs before eating? The comment that we could "keep looking for more hairs together" was the final straw. A 20% discount on overpriced and mediocre food is simply a joke. Unhygienic, unprofessional and extremely customer-unfriendly. The food was disappointing, but the way our complaint was handled was even worse. We will definitely not return and cannot recommend this restaurant at all. In our opinion, it had very little to do with authentic Mexican food. Spanish: Absolutely deceiving and not recommendable. The spareribs was 18,50 eur on the manu and we got charged 26 euros. No tissues with the spareribs. I asked for a Heineken, and the staff said yes, and then gave me a Belgian draft beer. No dipping to the fries. Just not worth it

Not far from Central Station...right on the canal. There were four of us, and we were served quickly. The food was okay.

I had a great dining experience at this restaurant. They have special deals, one of them is BBQ rib with fries and salad. Server was friendly and attentive, she kindly changed the fries to rice per our request. Both ribs and Mexican salad were flavorful. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. The food was simply inedible. The omelet was so drenched in oil that it almost overshadowed the burnt taste of the "fresh" vegetables inside. The toasties we also ordered were burnt and bone dry. The service was almost as bad as the food. After we ordered, the waitress only returned to serve the food. After that, no one came back – even paying the bill was difficult and only happened after asking several times. The poor service couldn't have been due to high demand; the restaurant was practically empty, and the four employees (?) had more than enough time – in fact, they had plenty of time to loudly mock us and the fact that we had wandered in there. Overall, I can't understand the positive reviews. Perhaps the chef was having an off day, or the dinner service is significantly better, but our experience certainly doesn't deserve more than one star.

We stumbled into Guadalupe restaurant with all our luggage on a cold, wet afternoon after I realized I’d left my phone in the back of an Uber on the way to catch a train! We needed to calm down and think clearly about how to retrieve it. The staff were so kind and helpful as we ordered food and drinks while making phone calls and sending messages to Uber. Good news is I got my phone back. A big thank you to the kind Uber driver and the wonderful staff at this restaurant! The people of the Netherlands are the best! ❤️

The only good thing was the food. Its crazy the fact that i ordered tap warer and they refused to serve it. After that i asked for a normal water and they arrived with a 0.2 L water that i had to pay 3.50€. DONT GO THERE FOR THE SERVICE BUT THE FOOD IS EXCELENT. I ONLY GIVE 3 STARS INSTEAD OF 2 BECAUSE OF THE FOOD

The waitresses are very friendly, but the boss seems to rush everything. I didn’t have the chance to choose a proper place—he just showed me a seat and told me to go and sit. Very disappointed.

Food is very overpriced and great in taste. Potato chips were very overdone and hard for 3 meals. Very very long wait for food. This is our second visit. The food was great and less expensive the first visit 6 months earlier. We will not go back.

It's ok for Hispanic / Mexican food, although being from America I have been exposed to a lot of excellent types. They forgot one of our orders, which is ok since it lowered the overall cost.

This became our favorite restaurant. The steak we ordered tasted excellent and was very easy to cut. It had a good smoked flavor. We also ordered various Mexican dishes that were incredibly good and large portions. We were warmly welcomed and experienced a good atmosphere every time we stopped by. Thank you very much!

Mexican food here is a joke do not bother especially if you’re vegetarian. I don’t think they’ve even seen Mexican food let alone eaten it. Nachos and “burrito” were served with mixed frozen veg barely warm. And the owner is very rude when you complain. Waitress said herself they get a lot of complaints about the food

I made a google account just to warn people about this place. Please don’t eat here. Best part of the meal was all of us laughing at how poor it was. My “burrito” was an enchilada and full with frozen winter vegetables. i think the canal water probably would have been a better meal. It’s a shame that this “establishment” is in such a prime location. i asked the server if they get many complaints and she said that they get them all the time. Our bill was 100+ euro and after complaining the owner offered us free drinks. Food came out warm at best and i think a slice of bread would have more flavour than this slop. Save yourself the time, money and effort and get literally anything else. The owner was arrogant and tried to tell me they get no complains after his staff told me they get complaints all the time. Good luck to anyone who chooses to eat here.

There's food, it's edible, but none of it is fresh and it's emphatically not Mexican. If you're feeling homesick, this is not your place

If you are facing death due to starvation, then the food here is enjoyable. If you are vegetarian then death is more enjoyable. Consider any other restaurants, even McDonald's and KFC before going here. The restaurant offers a great "spice it yourself" option by not adding any spice, sauce or even salt on their quesadillas and nachos. Vegetarian nachos were doritos standard flavour with defrosted veggies(NOT BOILED or STIR FRIED). Very DIY experience. The guacamole hit like a fresh wave of water gel in my mouth. The salsa was sweeter than ketchup. Chicken filet was burned on one side. Only the beef in the Fajita con carne was cooked well and had some flavour. The service is nice but you can really tell the enthusiasm in the staff is waining. Cant blame them if they have to push food like that. However if you enjoy a mediocre cut of meat with a view of Amsterdam Centraal, do go ahead but reconsider all your life choices after.

My rump steak was passable. My colleague had a sirloin steak that was far too thick and far too rare. It was inedible. There wasn't a single piece of lettuce with the meat, and you had to order fries (as well). There was a waiter who spent more time talking, with his back to us, than doing anything. When I ordered a drink, they brought it without looking at me. Then it was time for coffee and tea, and the youngest waitress only got tea for my colleague. Apparently, I wasn't allowed to order anything. I got a bit irritated by this and explained to her that you also ask the other people at the table if they wanted another drink. Then several of the staff laughed at me. And they sarcastically wished me a pleasant evening. Very unfriendly and not very customer-focused.

We wanted an omelet for breakfast, but we got a carelessly thrown-together pancake. Despite the bacon and cheese, I had to add salt and pepper. The two slices of toast were okay. The butter was already very soft, but that could also have been due to the heat. The strawberry jam didn't have the natural strawberry color. The coffee we ordered was the size of an espresso, and the cappuccino wasn't any bigger than a coffee. The staff was friendly, but they seemed rather bored to me. As a guest, I felt like I was being a nuisance. The only thing that was great was the view of the canal. The main street was distracting, as was the musty smell from the coffee shop next door.

Had an amazing meal here on our last night in Amsterdam. The food was incredible, I had the fajitas and the chicken was seasoned perfectly. My bf had the burger and it was massive. We also had a few margaritas I can’t remember the name of the one I had but it was something with Rasta in the name, it was soooo good.

They were clear with ingredients and explaining precautions, when the food come everything was perfect and no allergic reactions! It was the most delicious steak I have ever had! The dessert was lovely aswell! If we had more time here we would most definitely be coming back! Totally recommend ❤️

Without looking, and on my way to Amsterdam's central station, I found this Mexican restaurant (not Mexican). It was where I had my first English breakfast. It was a bit pricey (€17). No one spoke Spanish, but I liked it. I chatted with the manager, who was from Egypt. A good choice, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the waiters were very friendly.

The restaurant may be centrally located, but first impressions are deceptive. The overall ambiance seems rather messy and dingy – more emphasis could definitely be placed on cleanliness and maintenance. The real low point, however, was the quality of the food. Unfortunately, it was at a level that barely qualifies as acceptable. Both taste and presentation were far below average. We will never visit this restaurant again.

The steak didn't taste very good and was cooked much too long for medium, almost through the drinks weren't that good either, the only thing that was good were the fries, the service was quite unfriendly, not even a smile

The setting is nice, but the road next to it is very noisy. The waiters didn’t smile even once and refused to serve us a jar of water. We had burgers and a fish and chips. The fries were good, but the steak was way overcooked and the burgers had no sauce.

One of the worst tourist traps where the price doesn’t reflect the quality of food. The nachos were Doritos with queso sauce and boiled veggies. Oh also, if you want to get tap water, they will refuse you and force you to buy a small bottled water for 3€
