Mezzave in Oude Pijp

Yesterday we had a delicious, fresh, and warm pita bread with chicken shawarma, vegetables, tahini, and sumac here. Delectable! 😋 If I'm in the area again, I will definitely come back here for lunch.

Wow wow wowwww! We got the rib sandwich on baguette and the chicken shwarma on pita. Everything super juicy and tender. Up there with best sandwiches I’ve ever had. I particularly liked the chicken shawarma on pita a tiny bit more but both were 5 stars OUTSTANDING! Will be back 🙌🏼🤩

A simply lovely place in Amsterdam! The sandwiches are really delicious, fresh and indulgent, and the service is excellent, warm, personal and wholehearted. But what I loved most about the pantry was the atmosphere: Israeli, homely and cozy, the kind that makes you feel for a moment like you've come home. Absolutely a place that's fun to return to when you're in Amsterdam.

As soon as you walk in, you know you'll have a hard time choosing. Everything is delicious. We opted for the special shawarma mezzave. A super tasty sandwich. The people who work there are super friendly, cheerful, and attentive. We will be back soon.

Our family had the chicken schwarma on a freshly made pita wrap, a short rib sandwich on a baguette, and a chicken schwarma plate and we all argued over whose was the best. It was so good that we came back the last day before we left Amsterdam. The service was professional and courteous and played a great part in our return visit. Thank you for wonderful food and such a nice experience.

Fantastic pitta sandwiches. My partner and I had the chicken shawarma and the beef brisket pittas which were excellent (we both preferred the brisket slightly more but the shawarma was also delicious). We also got the side salad which was very light and refreshing. The staff were also incredibly friendly and walked us through the whole menu so we picked the sandwiches that were right for us. An easy recommendation for lunch if you're in the area.

When I walk in here, all the staff are super nice and polite. I ate the Sandeich short rib and chicken shawarma. Both are homemade and you can taste it. In my opinion, the best sandwiches in Amsterdam.

Best food ive had in the Netherlands and for a very fair price

We had such a lovely experience at Mezzave! The brisket baguette and the chicken pita were absolutely delicious — full of flavor and so well prepared. Everything was amazing, but what really made the experience special was how incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming the staff were. They were super sweet and made us feel right at home. Highly recommended! ❤️

Great park for children, lots of attractions suitable for little ones

They were very friendly and accommodated our needs by separating some ingredients. The sandwiches were delicious! We ordered the Rib Sandwich and the Chicken Kebab. The only downside was that they had already removed the tables from the terrace and it was 8:30 pm, so we took our meal to the park next door.

Came here for a quick lunch and were more than pleased with our meals! We had a chicken pita, brisket on baguette, and short rib on baguette along with an iced coffee. If there’s one thing you should order at Mezzave, make it the smoked short beef ribs on a baguette. Generously filled with top-quality ingredients, plenty of extra meat, and everything you could possibly want from a seriously good sandwich. Rich, smoky, packed with flavour and simply exceptionally delicious. One of those places where you already know you’ll be coming back before you’ve finished eating. Mazalito!

I was there with four friends on the first Sunday of August. Delicious sandwiches, bread, baguette and salads, prepared with such care and love—you can really taste it. The meats were fresh, juicy and tender with perfect taste and temperature. Friendly owner and staff; a lovely spot for breakfast, lunch, or brunch with friends. There are also plenty of nice products available for purchase. Highly recommended!

Super welcoming, nice coffee machine. The sandwich: shredded beef and a small mix of raw vegetables, generous and juicy, perfect for those with a sweet tooth. You can ask for it without mayonnaise. All served in a toasted baguette, panini-style. Very good. The presentation is lovely, in a shop reminiscent of a gourmet grocery store. A flavor guide is available upon request.

We had the brisket baguette and the asado baguette, and both were simply delicious – the meat was excellent and everything was cooked properly. We ordered the smoked brisket and chicken shawarma, and both tasted amazing. The only downside was that the upstairs dining area was closed when we arrived. Since there were six of us, it wasn’t very comfortable to sit on the first floor.
