Mezzave in Oude Pijp

Had the rib sandwich on a baguette. It was simple and delicious. The bread and meat highlighted the whole experience. Would definitely recommend Mezzave's for a midday treat.

A must-try! The brisket is simply exceptional: the meat is incredibly tender, melts in your mouth, with perfectly balanced fat. The smoky crust (bark) provides such a rich and authentic flavor that there's absolutely no need to drown the meat in sweet sauces. A real treat to recharge your batteries with top-quality meat. I highly recommend it!

We had the smoked short beef ribs on a baguette and it's probably the best sandwich I have ever had. The meat was fresh, juicy, and tender and the slaw and sauce added some moisture to the crispy sandwich. Overall, the food was amazing and I highly recommend. As for service, we did wait a while for our food, but the employees were all very kind. There isn't a lot of seating, but there are lots of nice places to sit around the area if you take it to go. The staff and food were both amazing. 10/10 recommend!

The pita is the SOFTEST ever and was absolutely stuffed with the chicken shawarma which was super juicy, tender, flavourful and super delicious!! An unforgettable meal. I highly recommend :)

Truly the best shawarma I've had in the Netherlands since moving here 11 years ago. The quality of the meat is immediately evident, and the pita is perfectly fluffy. Excellent value for money.

I've seen this restaurant before, what delicious sandwiches! We had the baguette brisket and the pitta chicken. The pitta made me feel like I was eating at HaKosem in Tel Aviv. He was absolutely right, only love in our sandwiches. Definitely recommended, and we'll definitely go back when we're in Amsterdam. Hopefully sometime on special days when they make something special 💯

We received a very warm welcome from the two guys at Mezzave, and they gave us excellent advice when we ordered our food. We tried the Mezzave ribs in a baguette and the Mezzave homemade chicken shawarma in a fantastic pita bread. Both were absolutely delicious and the best shawarma we've ever had. If you're unsure before ordering, feel free to ask and try the different options they offer. We'll definitely be visiting Mezzave again on our next trip to Amsterdam. Many thanks to the German colleague who prepared our baguette and pita! :)

We ordered two sandwiches, the brisket and the short rib on baguette. Both were great, but I definitely preferred the brisket option. Wished I had tried the pita bread which looked very good. People were very nice and welcoming. The shop is very small, so it can be difficult to get a table. The only downside was that the food takes a little too long for a sandwich shop even though there were not many customers, but the wait is definitely worth it.

I’ve just had dinner with a friend and it was sooo good! I don’t know the name of the guy who worked there, but he suggested the perfect bread for the kind of meat we chose, and it was delicious. The price and the customer service were also five stars. I’m sure I’ll be back soon!
