Nice place to have a drink… close to the centre.

We were sitting in the terrace and literally when my friends were coming, at different times, 2 seconds later the staff was already asking what did they want to drink - it didn’t feel like an attentive service but more like harassing staff staff making sure people were consuming drinks and not sitting for free. Which I get, but one of my friends was literally taking out his coat and they didn’t even give time to even think about it or check the menu. Later on, when the last person tried to pay the waitress mentioned one extra drink that hadn’t been paid yet, we were trying to discuss or think from who was it - since they were other people in the terrace close to us and could be a mistake- and the waitress basically screamed in a very rude way “one of you need to pay this otherwise it will be taken from my salary”. That’s not even allowed in the Netherlands. Staff needs to be more friendly, attentive. Overpriced food.

Millers is one of those places where you immediately feel the atmosphere the moment you walk in. It's a large, beautifully decorated space with different areas, each with its own unique character. It feels instantly inviting, whether you're there for lunch, drinks, or dinner. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and despite it often being busy, the service remains relaxed and personal. What I particularly appreciate is the extensive menu. There's truly something for everyone: from classics like well-filled sandwiches and salads to more refined dinner dishes. The drinks menu is also worth exploring, with delicious wines and surprising cocktails. Everything is neatly presented and tastes fresh and well-prepared. The terrace is definitely a plus – spacious, with comfortable chairs and a lively atmosphere. On sunny days, it's a wonderful place to sit, right in the heart of The Hague. The location is perfect: centrally located on the Plein square, close to museums, shops, and government buildings. In short: Millers has become a firm favorite. Whether you come with friends, colleagues, or just want to enjoy a good cappuccino alone, it's always a pleasant experience. Highly recommended!

the security guards are always on a power trip at millers. i have gone out many times to this bar and later when it turns into a club, and im always met with rude, unpleasant and unnecessary aggression. i understand that there are times where this is necessary. my friends and i were leaving the establishment last night right before it got busy inside. one of them was wearing a durag and and a cap over it so he put it back on as we were leaving. one of the security guards took it upon himself to rip the durag off his head and continue to push us out, as we were already leaving. yall think this attracts people to want to come to the club? please reassess your hiring process and the way these security guards treat people in your establishment.

Extremely long wait times for food, unhelpful staff. We were in a restaurant that suddenly, despite staff or signs clearly indicating otherwise, turned into a club. We were able to order drinks, and the waiters even came to take our drinks. When we went to the restroom, we suddenly had to pay, even though this only applies to clubs (where this is clearly indicated, but not in this case). To summarize: the staff is very unfriendly and legally unlawful; do not go to this restaurant. I've also had previous experiences where the staff is very slow (an hour per order). Furthermore, the furniture is in disrepair (holes in the benches where you can still find food scraps). Time and again, this restaurant disappoints us without improvement.

Good atmosphere, nice wine list :)

Restaurant Millers has two terraces with comfortable lounge seating. The heaters keep it pleasantly warm, and you have a great view of people passing by. The terraces are already filled with Christmas cheer. The ambiance is subdued and the lighting is atmospheric. There's an extensive beer and wine list, and you can order matching bites. We didn't delve into the dinner menu, but we saw that it looked well-prepared at various tables.

Good location, friendly staff. Food is also good. The toast is a bit too hard, but otherwise, good portions.

Try a terrace next door :) We really wanted to have a nice drink at Millers, but the service was unfortunately subpar. Whenever we tried to order, we kept getting told "I'll be right there," but no one came. After several attempts, we were completely ignored, even though the staff were chatting away. In addition, we were given a few truly arrogant, disinterested looks—as if we were a nuisance just because we wanted to order. No smile, no eye contact, just a distant and haughty attitude. Ultimately, we left without ordering anything. When we tried to raise this, the manager refused to listen to our complaint and came up with the excuse that he'd only been working for a week. However, that has nothing to do with the complaint itself; it's not about the content of his job, but about how guests are treated. It's a shame, because the location is great and the terrace is nice, but with this kind of service, it's of little use. Hopefully the management will take this seriously, because this is not what you expect from a business like Millers.

Apparently if you do not order food you cannot get water which in my opinion is ridiculous. The waiter was rude as hell (a guy with flesh earrings). If it is not necessary do not sit here.

We stopped by with a friend to enjoy a few beers and asked for some tap water. The waiter informed us that since we hadn’t ordered food, they couldn’t serve us water. I found that quite strange — we were still paying guests, after all. When I politely asked for an explanation, the waiter responded rather rudely and said it was management’s policy and there was nothing he could do. Overall, the experience felt unwelcoming. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxed spot to enjoy a drink and good company.

Warning!!!! On the night of October 18th to 19th, we went from Amsterdam to Millers to celebrate my birthday. There were five of us, including two guys: me and my boyfriend, my girlfriend and her boyfriend, and my sister. When my sister had to go to the bathroom, I walked in ahead of her. The others were standing by the door with the security guard. The guard was extremely aggressive and rude and wouldn't let my friend and the rest of our group in, simply because my friend didn't have a woman with him. She tried to calmly explain to the guard that he had just let me and my sister in, but the guard didn't listen and acted aggressively. He pushed my friend twice so hard that he nearly fell, without even checking if he was injured. When we were all finally at the door, the guard remained rude and unprofessional. Apparently, there were serious incidents at Millers that evening, including a knife fight, and the security guard apparently let in Bulgarian guests who were involved in the incident. It is absolutely unacceptable that we, as guests, had to endure this guard's frustration, when it wasn't our fault that he was doing his job poorly. This situation completely ruined my birthday and demonstrates that the security at Millers is seriously lacking. The guard's behavior was unacceptable, aggressive, and dangerous, and we will be filing a complaint against Millers. I want to warn everyone: Millers is not safe. The security guards are aggressive and unprofessional, and situations can quickly escalate there. This guard isn't doing his job properly and is letting people in with knives and who knows what else.

Good burger , good and beautiful served drinks and crème brule. Really nice atmosphere and good service!!!!

Terribly poor service, even though it wasn't busy. The girls on the patio were more important than serving the guests. I received a dead beer, and the cocktail was forgotten. I had to go inside twice to finally get what I ordered. It was terrible. I asked for a beer that wasn't dead, and they just gave me a tiny bit more. It wasn't very good.

We had a lovely lunch outside on the terrace. The service was a bit slow to get going, so we've downgraded it by one star.

I had very bad experience. The guy brought wrong beer which I didn't order. I refused to drink, yet he charged me full price. I won't recommend anyone to go there.

Microwaved food, poor service and some bad apples among the staff with Horrendous(!) attitude. Shockingly bad compared to other restaurants in the area, and the city in general.

At Millers Bar, we enjoyed a delicious classic burger and good beer. The food was well served by a friendly, older employee. The younger, bald employee seemed a bit surly and less welcoming. Fortunately, the taste of the burger and beer more than made up for it.

It was fine until they charged 75 cents for extra mayo. If the cup had been bigger I would have understood, but it was basically a thimbleful of mayo!

The food was very tasty but man oh man that parasol is disgusting.

I arrived at the club on Saturday night. I parked my car in the parking lot. My wife and sister entered the venue. When I arrived at the door, the security guard told me not to come out. He told me not to come in, saying he couldn't let me in unless I was accompanied by a woman. While I was standing there, four black men and four Dutch men were allowed in. This was racism. The person who identified himself as the security manager even spoke to my wife rudely and racistly, pushing me with his hand and speaking against my duty. You can check the security cameras for your information.

Ladies listen! so they got some guys standing in corners observing and eventually one of them is going to try to hit on you while his friends are watching. I was with a group of people including male friends, and when a guy wouldn’t stop harassing the girls in our group, our guys decided to step in and tell them to leave us alone. Unsurprisingly, this resulted in security harassing us, literally saying the guy did nothing wrong, “he comes here every week”. so basically we got kicked out when one of our guys tried to speak up. Security didn’t want to hear us out, no matter how calmly we tried to explain. They just pushed us out instead of dealing with the real problem.

It's not even worth 1 star... drinks were paid for... but they weren't given, then treated rudely and finally thrown out of the establishment... of course without the drinks that were paid for... it's obviously also a profit model

What a service, old staff walks away from you because they think their phone is important and the food cannot be adjusted. The 15-piece snack platter was not special for 19 euros and the service does not look back.

We had delicious pastries and coffee yesterday, so we returned today with the intention of having dinner. Unfortunately, the staff seemed incredibly disinterested and antisocial, so we decided to eat elsewhere after a drink. The waiters walked past our table, sighing and chewing on food, and spoke to us as if they wanted to send us away as quickly as possible.

Very tasty food, not run-of-the-mill, at a very good price. Including wine, water, and dessert, we paid under 90 euros! The service was extremely friendly and cheerful. Here, too, the sophisticated, chic ambiance, both inside and out, captivates with its view of Het Plein (or whatever the name is). The restaurant is bustling with life, often student-oriented and, above all, cosmopolitan.

The food was good, I'd say. I had a carrot cake that actually tasted like cheesecake with hints of cinnamon. But not bad. And a Lavazza espresso, a bit long. Not exactly Italian style. The laminated paper menus on the tables could have been wiped down with a cloth to remove the sticky part. The restrooms were generally clean. Friendly staff.

After 45 minutes, we had to fetch the waiter ourselves to order. The tables and chairs were sticky, and nothing was cleared. Our request to clear the table hadn't been done either; we had to ask another colleague ourselves. Then, after a few drinks and a meal, we ordered two more beers. After 45 minutes, they hadn't arrived, and we had to complain. After complaining, we were told I should go inside and pay myself because we complained about the poor service. We should fetch the manager. They wouldn't bother him, and the police would be called because I supposedly refused to pay. The manager wasn't called, and the waiters walked away. If we didn't pay, they threatened to call the police. Even though I said I wanted to pay, the waiters walked away. Does this kind of service belong in the hospitality industry? Is this what you want at Het Plein in The Hague, with fierce competition?

Delicious food, friendly staff.

Great for a drink on the patio. It's a bit neglected, though. Weeds are growing out of the planters around the patio, and some dead plants are on the main patio. This detracts from the ambiance. The neighboring area (Luden) looks more well-maintained. A missed opportunity.

All in all, excellent and clean. Delicious food and fast service. We really enjoyed it. Thank you very much.

Per ongeluk op dit terras terecht gekomen en niet meer weggegaan. We kwamen alleen voor een wijntje en een bitterbal maar uiteindelijk hier ook gegeten. Heerlijke kleinere gerechten gedeeld. Iedere keer weer wat nieuws laten komen. Vriendelijk personeel.Het was een fijne avond.

Good food but a little bit pricy.

Disrespectful and racist bouncers, especially one of them. This guy didn't let my friend in even tho we are the same age plus he didnt even try to listen to what we are saying to him and he just started saying to go away for no reason horrible bouncers. They dont even say why you cant go in.

The staff was very rude. We were given a dirty glass. When we complained about it, they snatched it from us and didn't give us a new one. The nachos had three pieces of cheese on them.

I was planning to give it 3 stars because my food was just average... However, we ordered coffee and an Irish coffee. After half an hour, it arrived... The Irish coffee came in a small wine glass!! Furthermore, the staff didn't speak a word of Dutch.

Very good food, but it was quite expensive.

The pace is very nice with comfortable outdoor sittings. Menu is rich and everyone can find something suitable and good. Presentation of dishes are ok. The only thing would be the service. The guy serving us was not cheerful, nor enjoying or smiling, and really suitable for service and hospitality I would say. We are on holidays and saw most of people smiling, welcoming, but not today with this service man.

The most disrespectful and rude bouncers I’ve ever seen. Some guy asked my friend to put his drinks on a table behind us near the sidewalk- turned out it was a setup so his friends outside could grab them. We had no clue, we thought it was for him and didn’t give it any importance. My friend got kicked out instantly. The bouncer wouldn’t even let her speak. I explained him very calmly and pointed at the guy who set it all up- he looked at me like I was nothing and just walked away. We were planning to leave anyway, but I felt it wasn’t fair, so I tried to explain to another bouncer. He acted annoyed, told me I give him a headache. There were no consequences for the guy who actually caused this. As a young woman, it’s honestly shocking how far they can go to disrespect you. They don’t listen, they’re rude, and they treat you like animals- when really, they’re the ones behaving like ones.

Had a great night! Lots of friendly people, danced well with everyone, no hassle or fights there. Everyone was also respectful.

Great service, good menu (lunch, wide taste, but limited choice in quantity, but everything is really good) away from the crowds and good public. And paid parking only from 6 pm. Day at the beach with top F&B? Don't tell anyone, but try it here.

Unfortunately, the service is not particularly good; the waiter doesn't know how to say please or thank you.

Had lunchbreak, was good but could have had an extra sandwich. Now you have to put that omelette and a croquette on 1 sandwich. That's meager...then add 50 cents.

After half an hour I could order, seriously another three quarters of an hour still nothing to eat. Complained. That helped. Portions meager, one of which was incomplete, and cold. (Gadogado without cucumber or peanut sauce..?) And quite a full price. 15 euros for two sandwiches, or a bowl of salad. Ridiculous.

The man was extremely shameless and rude. I ordered an içe Americano and it came without ice and its color was almost like tea. The person who took the bill looked at me as if I had cursed him. Even though there was no one else at the counter before me, I waited in vain.

Bouncers will not let you go in the club if you are 2 guys trying to have fun and are super disrespectful just because they don’t have enough girls inside of the club you can’t have fun as a group because of this has happened more than one time with us one time I was in a group of 3 other time I tried getting in alone also didn’t let me go in would not recommend

Poor food, amateur slow waiters, racist rude and not professional bouncers at all. During summer they told me and my friends that since we aren't locals they can't let us in.

We were only there for the cocktails. Outside, under the umbrellas, drying off from the rain by the fire, or under the heaters, it was very cozy and inviting! The cocktails were very tasty, but the price could have been a bit lower.

We only ordered cocktails, which were okay. Sex on the Beach was way too sweet. All the cocktails were practically non-alcoholic. Service was rather lacking, even though it wasn't busy. Our order was taken and delivered, but then there was silence for an hour. It's nice to sit outside even in the rain; most seats are dry under umbrellas.

Good value for money considering its location. They have free restrooms and are right on Plein Square. The service is fairly quick. You can order tap water.

I wish i could give this place 0 Stars. THE SERVICE is horrible. We tried asking the body guards how much the tickets for an entrance would be, and they shouted at us, telling us to go away. Super rude service, not inclusive, and definitely not worth your time. I would avoid this place at all costs as no one deserves this treatment.

We first had a cocktail workshop and then a dinner. The workshop was great fun. It was clear that the bartender knew a lot and also enjoyed talking about the types of cocktails and different techniques. He did this in a fun and enthusiastic way. We were able to taste a lot and then get to work ourselves. All this happened in a very relaxed way. We had a great time. The food afterwards was very tasty! It was also very nice that we were still able to get a table outside, even though we had actually reserved for inside. It was a larger group, so that flexibility was much appreciated. We had a nice evening.

Amazing Place for dancing and drink, Alecia the woman who take the jacket amazing, smiling all the times. But the real problem it's old woman in the bathroom checking like the police. I pay and she didn go to the bathroom. I hope this old woman will go in passion so I can enjoy millers with out come back home for use the toilet.

If you go out, be careful because the wardrobe is anything but helpful. Does not do her job properly and instead of helping to find, her own interests and being able to close on time come first. Where is the friendliness and helpfulness…. tragic

The men waiters looks like annoying

Extremely antisocial toilet lady, ignores the law because "these are just the rules of the club". Of course it doesn't work that way, even as a club you are supposed to follow the laws. Good to know for future visitors that they do not take the Dutch rule of law seriously and do not follow it.

I had lunch here and ordered the Smoked salmon | avocado cream | red onion | sweet and sour vegetables | wasabi mayonnaise sandwich. Based on the description, I was expecting something flavorful and well-prepared, but unfortunately, it was very underwhelming. It came as two plain slices of bread with just a few small dots of Wasabi mayonnaise a bit of lettuce, some onion, and a little salmon — not even enough to cover both slices properly. Definitely not worth the price or the expectations set by the menu description.

What a recommendation!! We ended up at Millers and we were positively surprised. We opted for the chef's surprise menu. How wonderful it was. Good dishes that are beautifully presented. And good explanation from the super nice hostess and gentleman. In short, we will definitely come back!

Good afternoon, I would like to share my impressions of this club restaurant 1. There was a situation where my things were stolen and I contacted the security guard and the manager who said it is not our problem, we will not do anything and you can just go outside and have a look. The staff's attitude towards customers was very negative, it's also my problem that I didn't follow up on things. 2. I was with a friend who didn't know I already paid for the drinks and he paid again then we went back and wanted a refund and the manager said it was your problem and I didn't care so you should think twice before going there

I was inside with my brother. Then we went to another club to see what it was like there. Then we wanted to go back to millers and we didn't get in because we met 2 extra friends. The entire club was empty but there were still TOO many boys...then we went to the Cloos. Sewing guard followed us and told us not to enter there either. He then walks and smiles at his colleagues. I ask him why he does it and he doesn't even dare to talk back. I explain to him in a normal tone that we just want to go out normally and he just talks straight through it. Just no respect, I said I just want to talk and he raises his voice, no manners at all and then working as a bouncer at a club when you're 40, damn it! Well done in your pathetic life!

Excellent service! Proposed to my girlfriend here last Friday evening; exactly 5 years after our first date at Millers. We had great contact with Millers in advance to arrange and discuss the proposal. Millers even used a singer (!) to sing the beautiful song "I will always love you" by Whitney Houston. Beautiful! Food (5-course Valentine's Day menu) was very tasty. The wine pairing matched well with the food. In short: Millers is definitely worth a visit!
