Authentic Italian restaurant; we got a table spontaneously in the evening. We were served complimentary bread and butter as a starter. Our ordered dishes arrived very quickly. Special requests were accommodated. The pizzas were tasty and good, but we've had much better pizzas. Prices are very touristy. Two pizzas and two glasses of wine cost almost €60.

⭐️⭐️ Unfortunately, this is the first time we've written a review for a restaurant where we didn't even end up eating. Our impression was somewhat mixed from the start. At the entrance, my wife asked the waiter where the restroom was, as she wanted to wash her hands before eating. His answer was: "Outside." At first, we thought it was a joke. To be honest, though, we found the joke completely inappropriate, especially when you're just getting to know your guests. On the positive side, we were immediately brought bread and an interesting butter that looked like garlic butter. It certainly looked appetizing, but we didn't try it. When we then opened the menu, we were honestly quite surprised by the prices. This is probably one of the most expensive Italian restaurants we've ever seen—and that's with a menu that, in our opinion, doesn't offer anything particularly special. We've been to Italy many times and visited numerous Italian restaurants, so we certainly have a basis for comparison. Ultimately, we didn't find anything we wanted to order and decided to leave. As we were about to leave, the waiter called after us, saying we could have at least said we were leaving. To be honest, we didn't quite understand his remark. We hadn't ordered anything, hadn't eaten anything, and therefore felt we didn't need to say goodbye. Perhaps the food is actually very good – unfortunately, we can't judge that. However, our first impression of the service, the prices, and the overall value for money was so disappointing that we had no desire to eat dinner there again.

The food was okay, but nothing special. The waiter was friendly at first, but later we discovered an error in the bill. The bread basket was simply placed on the table and ended up costing €7.95. Absolutely outrageous! Furthermore, we also had drinks from the next table on our bill. The staff seemed overwhelmed by this.

I used to enjoy eating here, but last time they forgot the bread, then the butter, and then the cutlery. But today was even worse. I joined two other older ladies because the place was full. They kicked the three of us out in favor of a couple with two children. That's what I call blatant age discrimination. I went somewhere else to eat. They won't be getting my money again!

We had Italian pizza here for lunch today and were absolutely thrilled! Right from the start, we were served complimentary fresh bread with garlic spread. The food arrived incredibly quickly. The two Quattro Formaggi pizzas were delicious, and the Lambrusco was the perfect accompaniment. I'd especially like to highlight the extremely friendly and attentive service: We had special requests (one with mushrooms and one with ham) and were surprisingly not charged extra for them – that's really not something you can take for granted these days!

I've eaten here more often this year than at home, and the food is truly perfect. The service is also truly perfect and they are very friendly. The atmosphere is also really great because it's not all so over the top, just good old Italian food!

So, fantastic for people with gluten allergies! :) The pizza on the right in the picture is gluten-free. Highly recommended!

We've been to Noordwijk six times in the last three years, and each time we enjoy eating at Mimmo's – pizza or pasta, everything is delicious, and the Lambrusco is well-made and tasty. We'll be back next year and are already looking forward to it.

Unfortunately, it was very crowded and noisy during opening hours. The pizza was a bit of a letdown. The wait was very long.

Worst service ever. Everyone working here is just sitting around lazily, and when we ask to pay, they refer us to another colleague who is busy and won't be able to do anything for the next half hour. So now we just have to wait. They make their customers wait while they sit around doing nothing themselves and direct us to the bar to pay, where no one stands or ever goes. No idea about the food; we only came for a drink. It did look tasty though, and the options are quite varied. Safety isn't optimal either. It looks like a fairground here with that parasol that almost fell on my head; such wobbly parasols. And if they want to set the parasols up properly, they set them up so that if a gust of wind comes, the parasol collapses on someone's head. Because this place is a real clown. On top of that, we had to wait 45 minutes for drinks (because one of those waiters just keeps messing around with guests he probably knows). Additionally, they serve their wine in a shabby water carafe.

Edited: After coming back 9-10 times, the restaurant has deteriorated a lot during the past visits. Food was underwhelming instead of good portion & tasty like before. If you go to Amsterdam to have the bare-minimum service, portion and taste, why not drive to Noordwijk for this absolutely hidden gem!!! Enjoyed by mainly locals, this place is absolutely mind-blown. So tasty, portion so generous and super duper DELICIOUS again 🤤 Their carbonara is so good, so creamy and just-right seasoning. The seafood pasta looks bigger than my face. So many toppings. Super amazing!!!!!!!! Can’t say enough about this place. The salmon seems to melt right in your mouth also. Already came back 3 times. Will not stop!!!!!!

We had two pizzas this evening. Before we even ordered, we were served bread with garlic butter (free of charge). The pizzas were decent, but nothing that wowed me. Overall, I don't think the value for money is good enough compared to other restaurants. However, I would like to commend the excellent service from the waiters and waitresses; they were fantastic, always smiling and very efficient. I also have one comment: I find it outrageous that a bottle of water costs almost €8; I simply can't understand that…

We had dinner here with our family during a day trip to Noordwijk. The restaurant is located right on Kon. Wilhelmina Boulevard, in a lovely central location and within walking distance of the beach. From the outside, it looks classic and inviting, while inside it's comfortably furnished with a typical Italian atmosphere. You immediately feel at ease. The staff was very friendly and attentive, even though the restaurant was busy. Orders were taken promptly, and the wait time was reasonable. The pizza was truly authentic. Thin crust, good ingredients, just as it should be. We also really enjoyed the pasta, with generous portions at a fair price. All in all, a wonderful evening. If you're looking for a solid, honest Italian restaurant in Noordwijk, this is the place to go. We'll definitely be back.

I would normally recommend this restaurant to everyone, however, while we were initially served some bread with herb butter, which was a very nice gesture, charging €7.95 for it without asking or mentioning it is quite excessive. A real shame. Otherwise, it would have been 5 stars.

Tagliata and veal schnitzel with spaghetti a, o & p was really fantastic 👌🏼. But I think all the meat dishes are delicious😋! We will definitely come back here to try more from the menu.

The food was good. We ordered a pizza and a carbonara and ate them on the beach. Both dishes cost a hefty €36.

We have rarely eaten such delicious spaghetti with seafood. The staff was quick and extremely friendly, even though the restaurant was packed. The quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff have clearly gotten around. The prices weren't high by Dutch standards. We were incredibly lucky with our online reservation, even though we hadn't been to the restaurant before.

We ate here recently. The food was fine, but during the meal, a full tray was thrown over me. My shirt and trousers were soaking wet. The waiter did apologize once, but that was it. Not even an attempt to offer compensation, and when we asked how we were going to resolve this while paying, I was blithely told that they would just wash it for me, and I was simply made to pay the full price. The same thing happened to a girl at another table; nothing was done about it either. This place clearly doesn't know how to provide positive customer service. I understand that mistakes can happen, but then you should offer a reasonable solution. The food is acceptable, but for the service, I would stay FAR away from this place!

Delicious food. Very friendly and attentive staff. A lovely atmosphere. Wheelchair accessible. The toilet cubicle is very cramped but clean and there is a step leading up to it. There is no disabled toilet.

Delicious food, nice, friendly, and multilingual (albeit hectic) service. Unfortunately, it's very noisy; guests are crammed into every possible corner. It's nearly impossible to get through with a stroller. So: go in, enjoy the delicious food, and leave. A romantic, quiet meal is not possible.

This was our second visit, and we were very disappointed. The lasagna was bland, and the carpaccio was served with olives but no oil or balsamic vinegar, along with five shriveled leaves of arugula. Very disappointing. The prices were too high for what we got. The only bright spot was the incredibly friendly waiter.

Pathetic service and ignorant staff. We are regular customer but today we had a worst experience ever. Nobody bothered to give us the menu. Table was not cleaned from previous Oder. There were at-least 8 staff members but nobody came to take order even after asking 4 times, we have to wait for 30 mins to order. Food came after 45 mins of order and the quality was also worst. No sides were served to our table even after asking multiple times as we had a toddler with us who was super hungry by the time but staff was totally ignored our table. This used to be our to go restaurant whenever we are around Noordwijk but looks like we will never return.

When I'm in the Netherlands, I never miss dinner at Mimmo's. I've been in Noordwijk for work for 15 years, and Mimmo's is a must. This last time I was there, I discovered a fantastic fish soup. The restaurant has grown steadily over time, and there must be a reason. Especially when the weather is nice, and on weekends it's always crowded (though you can always find a free table), which means this restaurant/pizzeria is very popular.

Mimmo is a household name in Noordwijk. The service is always incredibly friendly and nice. The food is good and solid! Simply good value for money. I've been coming here for over twenty years! Always a good time.

Service reasonable, food very substandard!! Spaghetti bolognese was very bad, the worst we have ever eaten: absolutely no taste, straight from a jar... Yuck!!! Spaghetti carbonara was also bad: just some bacon bits and cream. Tagliatelle with salmon: also substandard: it tasted okay, but kept very simple. Kids' menu: chicken with applesauce (Yeah right: from a jar)... Never again here!

We were absolutely thrilled! The food was incredibly delicious and truly exceeded our expectations. We were particularly impressed with the service: the waiters were very friendly, attentive, and incredibly understanding. Furthermore, the food arrived surprisingly quickly, which made the visit even more enjoyable. For the quality and service, the prices are definitely very reasonable. Compared to other restaurants on the promenade, this one is among our absolute favorites – if not our absolute favorite. We would definitely come back!

Gluten-free pizza and our son was happy

Fantastic restaurant and very good food. I think it was the owner's son; I asked him what an apatistas called that we always got at Lake Garda. It turned out to be focaccia. Without us even asking for it, he brought it over. Enjoy your meal, this is on the house. Really incredibly kind of you. For a moment, I felt like I was back in bella Italia at Lake Garda. 😍 The steak with truffle sauce and spaghetti was exquisite. You have won our hearts, see you soon.

The food was good. The taste could be improved – considering the prices, hence 4/5. However, the service was absolutely worthy of 5 stars. All the waiters and waitresses were incredibly nice, attentive, and more than friendly.

Plenty of seating outside under the sheltered awning and inside, with a friendly, multilingual waiter. The pizzas were thankfully available in a gluten-free version for a small extra charge, and the dough stayed fluffy for a long time, which isn't always the case. Spicy oil is available upon request, and we were even allowed to bring our dog.

We ate here tonight with the whole family. The spaghetti bolognese and spaghetti carbonara were both quite bland. The tiramisu was gone by dessert. The place was also very cramped, and it took ages for someone to come and answer a question. The pizza wasn't good either and tasted burnt. It was very expensive for what you got.

Dinner at Mimmo was supposed to be a special evening, but despite the staff's best efforts, it didn't quite work out. We were given a table in the annexe part of the restaurant. Some tables had stoves burning, but the heating was on minimum. We sat in our jackets, which was hardly comfortable. It was cold, people were sweating, and yet the room wasn't heated (it was full). As for the food: the burrata looked delicious but tasted bland. I expect top-quality ingredients from an Italian restaurant, and the tomatoes tasted like the cheapest ones from the supermarket. The carpaccio was quite good, but the pine nuts were missing. The schnitzel ala Milanese was perfectly fried and crispy, but unnecessarily covered with the same poor quality tomatoes, onions, and an incredible amount of balsamic vinegar that I could taste in every dish (not worth the price). The tortelloni con tortufo was very tasty, with mushrooms, a generous portion, and highly recommended. For dessert, tiramisu, which for some reason was spoiled by a huge amount of whipped cream? Really? Tiramisu with whipped cream? Why? Ultimately, if it weren't for the refrigerator I was forced to sit in, it could have been quite pleasant... I probably won't be back. The service was very friendly, no complaints. They did everything they could.

Heaven only knows how this, now grey-haired and seasoned Italian restaurateur (I loved the 70s photo of him as a young waiter in red coat-tails and bow tie in the front of the menu) ended up owning a restaurant in what I can only describe as the reinvigorated Blackpool of the Netherlands (there’s hope for British seaside towns yet). But he has certainly brought authentic Italian food here. He was still the best waiter in the place. Quietly spotting differing customer needs, adding a fresh strawberry flourish to my aperitivo glass of bubbles and shaking hands with bashful but happily aggrandised grandchildren at the next table. While his younger staff scurried around and acted like you were wearing a cloak of invisibility when you tried to get their attention. One waitress surreptitiously texting to who knows (Tinder date? eBay auction?) between the tables and kitchen. Despite a few minor minuses, all in all, a bellissimo meal washed down with a cracking Italian red. Brava ‘Il Nonnas’ …

There were 6 of us there. The food was generally well prepared, but it lacked seasoning. All the pizzas tasted the same. The food was very well prepared. My dessert was ice cream with fresh strawberries. I got it because the supermarkets still had plenty of Dutch strawberries. It was just disappointing: three scoops of vanilla ice cream, lots of whipped cream, and 3-4 sliced ​​strawberries scattered around. And a biscuit roll. And all that for €11. Sand kept flying at our seats. We were all covered in sand by the end. Some of it must have landed in our food. So, don't sit up front. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it.

Delicious pizzas and fantastic desserts!! A super cozy atmosphere in this Italian family-run business. A little piece of Italy in the Netherlands.

We had a bite after beach walk on a weekday, which was delicious, the dough of the pizza was amazing, and all ingredients were fresh. Service was quick. A little bit pricey compared to pizza restaurants in The Netherlands but compared to the restaurants and cafes in the neighborhood, it was within the range. I do not consider the view is WOW as you cant see the beach but the boulevard side walk. The restaurant was very clean and smells well including the toilets, the indoor decoration is much better than the covered terrace. It is accessible to wheelchairs and surround by several paid parking spaces.
